Sticking Together - Sky, Bashur, Pewface, and Team Crafted

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

It was no joke that Team Crafted had expanded since they first started. And as Eternals, they had trained to become a stronger team than before. Sky acted more like their leader than anyone because he had the leadership qualities and the trustworthiness of being a Curer and one day, he decided it would be best to go into a Minecraft world that was being ravaged by disasters both enemy-like and natural to try and help them. As miners, it was their duty. But only Team Crafted decided to go, the others staying behind because they all thought it would be better that way. Even Nanners stayed because he hated going into his miner form and preferred to stay as a cat. Although Sky would've loved to do this mission besides his lover, he knew it was for the best.

Deadlox, True, and Sundee decided to stay together. Ant, Seto, Sub, and Bajan too decided to stick together. Husky and Sparklez naturally were locked together with Jerome and Brotato following behind them. And then Bashur and Sky decided to go as a duo because they worked well together and it also gave Bashur extra security and Sky a bigger excuse to watch over him. He trusted the watermelon completely but sometimes he let his overprotective self get the better of him. He was, after all, his biological brother after all. How a half squid and living watermelon were biological brothers was beyond their knowledge but in both science and in their hearts, they knew it was true. The others accepted this as well and understood why the two needed to stay together.

They had found a medium sized village that seemed abandoned until further inspection. They had found a few villagers who had hidden from the enemies that had tried to take over. But it wasn't long before Team Crafted got to work on that problem, taking out the enemies with little effort, backing each other up with hesitation. It took work from that point forward for they had needed to build a wall around the village. But with the many of them, they were eventually able to do it. But even with a wall, some enemies would still try to get in, but they would never succeed, not with the team on the villages' side.

But that wasn't their only problems. A sickness was growing around the areas, reaching for milies. Team Crafted, being Eternals, were immune to it but the villagers were not. Plus a famine was growing rapidly by the day. The famine did not bother Team Crafted for they were under a very powerful spell that saved their bodies from needing food or water. It helped them but not who they were trying to help.

Every day, they would head out and try to find food with four of them staying behind, most of the time it being Bajan and Sub who would look for enemies and Bashur and Jerome who would stay with the villagers to make sure nothing went wrong. Although Bashur never noticed anything out of normality, Jerome certainly did, being more observant than the watermelon. But he never mentioned it to him but he did mention it to the others. All of them, especially Sky took it seriously but simply said to keep a watchful eye on Bashur wherever he went and to make sure the villagers didn't try anything funny by them watching them at all times too.

Jerome noticed that the villagers would look at Bashur in a weird way, a way that was almost menacing and desireful looking. Jerome didn't have to wonder what the looks meant and he had decided to not make it seem like so bad in front of Sky because only the Funnelers knew what he would do if he found out. He'd probably abort the mission entirely. That was how protective he was of his brother. And the rest of them would follow his lead and leave as well if that happened. This really wasn't any of their business in the first place but they still doing it. Hopefully it would end soon though so that they could return to their own Eternal lives.

It was a dark night, the moon barely in the sky and Bashur had slipped away from his bed to take a walk around the village. Leaving his bed wasn't the easiest thing in the world though. Not when Sky had his arm protectively wrapped around him. Bashur was no idiot, he knew his brother just wanted to protect him and that thought warmed his heart. He had not put a sleep spell on him but simply wriggled out of his grasp, careful enough to not wake up Sky or anyone else.

But he had wakened up Seto but he had reassured him that he was just taking a walk and that in an hour, to look for him. Seto had agreed and had decided to remain awake and join Ant and Brotato in the guarding that night while Pinkie Promising to look for him in an hour. Damn, he had such good friends. He was sure proud to be apart of Team Crafted while also being as Eternal.

Carefully, he walked around, his mind focused on nothing and his diamond sword clutched loosely in his hand. He looked around, feeling a tang of peace in this world, at least for now. He tried to not think about the history of the living watermelons once more and what they had been used for. It was a terrible thought that he pushed to the back of his mind to focus on the more happier times.

His Eternalship after becoming a drone like Deadlox by the squids command. He had felt so alive and free to do what he wanted. But it there that he learned the lesson he truly needed. Loyalty and love. Although he couldn't have Sky as a lover, he got him as something much more. A brother. First an adopted brother and now a biological brother. The joy he felt there had almost been too much to handle and he knew Sky felt the same. They both loved each other and never did Bashur complain about the overprotectiveness of his brother. He knew he was trying to protect him and never did it get on his nerves because unlike James once was with Meowth, Sky knew when to back down and let him do his own thing.

Then he found Master Meowth in his time of need, when he had broken up with Clementine and when he needed someone to hold onto. Bashur was careful with keeping his emotions hidden and giving the maniac a friend he needed. He could put up with his maniacal and seemingly out of control behavior. He had no idea why he had been the only one to break him out of his maniacal depressed trance. Even Meowth, who was his blood brother and alter ego had been unable to break him out of it, however, he had grown close to doing so. They had grown closer and then they had confessed their love for each other. And then, he had taught him how to fly and how to do the Zetsu Tenrou Battouga.

He still had many other adventures but those were the turning points of his Eternal life so far. Sighing, Bashur kept trudging on until a sound sounded behind him, cutting him off. He stopped and froze, listening for the noise again, wondering if it was just his mind playing tricks on him. He heard it once more, louder this time. A growl. And it didn't sound normal. He pushed out his senses to search for an enemy that could've somehow gotten through the sharp senses of Ant, Brotato, and Seto. But all he found was a presence that was smaller and more tainted with extremely bad aura with a hint of familiarity.

Turning around, he gripped his sword to his chest and looked at the creature, hidden by the darkness but before he could get a good look at it, it lunged from the shadows and attacked him. He didn't see it very clearly and only saw a dark blur before he felt a pain in his leg. Holding back a whimper, he pushed through the pain and bailed, running swiftly and with barely a sound as he ran, dodging the obstacles in his way while also trying to lose his pursuer. But he couldn't for he knew the creature was still behind him, and he couldn't get rid of it.

His senses were not fully in tact and his mind was racing and so he fled down a dark alley to which ended in a dead end
