Chapter 2:  New life

I ran through the dark metal halls of the sith war ship, the red lights reflecting across the armor of I and my fellow troop. I was leading a small strike force on an assault on an imperial ship yard. One ship managed to leave dock and made it into hyperspace, with a republic strike force on board.

As we got to a large door, I ordered the five republic troopers to cover the passage while I and three other Jedi opened the door. As we opened the door, red blaster fire poured through, killing one of the Jedi.

Three of the troopers with assault cannons, turned their weapons on the enemy, unleashing a hellfire of blaster rounds, those commandos slowly pushed forward with the vanguards put up shields to give them cover.

I and the last two Jedi jumped over the troopers and pushed the imperial troops out of our way with ease. The force had guided us to our destination, Darth Taralgon

He was a pure blooded sith, and he was strong in the dark side of the force. The troopers opened fire, but the he simple blocked their shoots or dogged them. His double bladed light saber gave him the finesse needed to eliminate the troopers, he then used the force to propel him self towards a padawan, he put his saber through her abdomen, killing her.

The Jedi master with me attacked him head on, lading a few blows, but barely leaving a scratch. He was also killed quickly by Darth Taralgon.

It was me and him, one on one. We circled around the room before charging at each other, my blade met with his left arm and his with my right hand, causing me to drop my light saber.

He stepped over me and looked at me with his red eyes, as if he was peering into my soul. "Such a pity, I was hoping for a Jedi that could actually give me a good fight, oh well. Can't always have what we wish for, now can we?" He placed his blade over my chest, hovering above my heart. "Any last words Jedi scum!?"

I spit at him. "You'll die soon, sith." With that, he put his blade through my heart, but, instead of feeling the pain and sting of the blade piercing, I just felt cold, and saw only darkness. I closed my eyes tight, hoping for this to be over.

I opened my eyes to see white, I felt sluggish, and my senses were confused. I sat up; I was lying on a white bed.  I took a moment to remember where I was, I was in Equestria.

I remembered the three princesses; there was Celestia, Luna, and Twilight. I got out of the bed and stretched out my sore limbs. I noticed I still had my armor on, so I went to the process of removing the armor and leaving the robe and undergarments on.

I still kept my light saber attached to my belt, so incase of hostiles, I would be able to act quickly. A Jedi is never unarmed fully, they always have the force.

I went to leave the room, but was stopped by a white pony that seemed to be the doctor or nurse of this medical area. I did as they said and waited in the room for Princess Celestia to arrive.

When she did, I of course gave a respectful bow and showed my full attention. "Your highness, it is a pleasure to see you yet again. What is it that you require before I make my leave?"

Celestia had a gentle smile and told the guards they could go and take a break.   She sat across from me and studied me closely. She was curious, and any one would be if they had a strange creature pop into their world unexpectedly. "Tell me Martian, what is it that you intend to do now, obviously unable to return form where you're from, what is it that you will do?"

I took a moment to think, but nothing came to my mind, I could not just do simply anything. I was a warrior, and I couldn't just drop that way of life that I held for so long. Then it came to me, I could be the first Jedi of the republic to fight along side what force Celestia has. It seems to only be guards, for I have yet to see any major military structure yet, taking in consideration I had yet to leave the castle.

I looked around, just so I might be able to clear my mind and think. I am a warrior of the Republic; I can't be anything but a warrior in skill. Never a weaver or a weapon tech, I was and still am a warrior. I looked to Celestia. "I have only one thing that comes to my mind. I will offer my skills as a warrior to you and nothing else. I'm no diplomat, even if I have defused many situations, I am no cook, and I am no cloth weaver. I am a warrior, and I offer my skills. Will you accept?"

Celestia closed her eyes and nodded. "A warrior indeed Martian, and I know the perfect place. It is a small town called Ponyville; Princess Twilight gained her own castle only just little over a year ago. So her own guard has just been formed, you may take the place of an officer. Truthfully, I do not know why I trust you, but I just have that feeling that you are a good pon-er..Human, that would be the correct term, right?"

I lightly laughed. "Actually, it would be 'A good person.' Just a small thing, but I am not the only species from where I am from, there are thousands and still more. Intelligent or not, it will take some time to find every single species." I smiled at her. "I do believe that my time here will only be filled with some crazy adventures, and I can't wait to get to it. So, when do we leave for Ponyville?"

Celestia smiled and after a loud 'pop,' we were in a completely different place. "Magic dose travel wonders, now that we are here, you should meet the elements of harmony." She motioned towards a group of six ponies and a small lizard like creature.

I gave a shallow bow. "Hello there, I am Martian; it is a pleasure to meet you all." As I looked at them, they all seemed to have their own reactions to me.

The Cyan one with the rainbow mane seemed ready to attack me if I was to do anything wrong, while a yellow one with a pink mane tried to calm her. They both had wings, which means they could fly, but the ratios were all wrong; maybe some sort of magic was involved.

I saw a white unicorn with a note pad with a pen, and a tape measure. She seemed to take interest in what I was wearing, she was writing down all sorts of things, such as designs and color ideas. The Orange one next to her eyed me and then smiled and tipped her hat.

I noticed a pink one being held in place by Princess Twilight's magic, she seemed to shake with excitement and held a calming aura. She seemed to be doing movements to attempt an escape from the magic hold, and the movement seemed physically impossible. I saw as well a green and purple lizard giving me an 'I'm watching you' look,

Princess Twilight waved a hoof at me, greeting me. I returned it with my own wave, I was curious about this place, I looked around, it looked like it had taken many years to build such a place, it seemed to be built out of some sort of crystal.

I looked to Princess Twilight. "Princess Twilight, how long did it take for such a structure to be built? It seems like it would have taken many years to build it. "

She responded with a small laugh. "Don't call me 'Princess.' There's no need for it, I don't think friends need to call me that, or anyone for that matter. Oh, and it only took a few seconds, I'll tell you the story later." She opened a large door with her magic. "Come on, we have thing to discuss, just fallow me."

I fallowed her into a large room; it was a library, full of books. I took one off a shelf and began reading it, the information was mind blowing. I have seen and heard of many strange things, but the creatures of this land were very interesting.  "If you don't mind, I would like to spend as much time as I could in here, there is so much information. I might not be consular, but a Jedi must know his environment."

Twilight found amusement in what I had said. "Of course, you may come down here any time you wish, but we must first discuss things. Such as you meeting my friends, and all of Ponyville. Knowing Pinkie Pie, she'll have a party already set up, ready to pop up out of no where."

I continued to fallow her, thinking about how my life was going to be here, what I was to be doing here. As an officer of her guard, I would be bound to protect her, and I will. I meet her friends, and we did have said party. I was to stay in the castle till a proper house was set up or found for me to live in.

I was exited to live here, and I also had my fears. I had a feeling the Sith empire was soon to destroy this peaceful land, just like all others. They cared not for anyone's peace, they wanted power, and would stop at nothing to do so. I hoped the Republic would get here before them, till then, I would be an acting officer in Twilight's royal guard.
