The Power you possess

In the Princess Twilight Sparkle’s castle, near the castle library, Spike, with a plate with food in his hands, shouts for Twilight.

“Twilight, Twilight Sparkle, come out, you’ve been there for days!” Spike is worrying. ”I know and understand that you like books and stuff like that, and that’s a new library of your very own castle, but it’s me, Spike, your number one assistant and friend. I’m concern.”

Silence.

Spike raises his voice. “C’mon at least you must eat!”

Quiet Twilights mumblings behind the door, ordering Spike to go away and leave her be, she’s busy.

“Geez, fine, I’ll leave food on the chest near the door. Again! And then I’ll remove it once it rots. Again!” Spike puts diner on the chest and walks away cross-armed mumbling about not being appreciated.

Knockings at main entrance gate.

“Coming!” Spike starts walking towards the gate, “I wish we had some guards around here. It would make things easier. This place is a huge maze. Since Ms. Princess doesn’t do a thing, I must take care of everything. And when fans of our ‘Princess of Friendship’ arrive every time I must tell them she’s busy. I hope it’s not them.” Spike reaches the gate and opens it.

“Spike, Spike, Spike...” Pinkie Pie rapidly jumps and repeats Spike non-stop, until eventually gets interrupted by Applejack.

“Hold it there Pinkie, that’s enough.” Applejack transfers her focus towards Spike. “Yo listen Spike how’s our Princess doin’?"

Spike takes a moment to analyze the ponies. They are all here: Rarity, Applejack Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie. They all look the same as they always did, but Spike senses something unusual about them, invisible for the naked eye.

Everypony enters the castle.

Rarity seeing Spikes sorrow facial expression, approaches him. “What’s wrong is something bothering you?”

Spike avoiding eye contact replies, “It’s Twilight, she locked herself.“ Spike points his finger at library door. “She’s there for days” Spike gets a little closer to library door, points at meal next to the door on the chest. ”She didn’t even eat ever since defeating Tirek. Instead of exploring her own castle and acting responsible as a Princess, she locked herself in library.”

Everypony started awkwardly realizing the fact that they had no idea how to react or reply to Spike, they weren’t ready for that. They haven’t even visited her until now.

“So what can we do to help?” Rainbow Dash tries to disturb unnecessary awkwardness.

“I don’t know.” Spike shrugs shoulders.

“Let me try break the door.” Rainbow Dash lifts herself in air, Starts preparing ramming stance, gets interrupted.

Quickly. Rarity grabs forelegs. Fluttershy bites tail. Applejack takes out rope, spins lasso, throws, catches Rainbow Dash wings, pulls.

Rainbow Dash falls to the ground. “What’s got into you all wh-“

“Hey, I did nothing!” Pinkie Pie interrupts and denies Rainbow Dash accusations.

“It wouldn’t be nice doing that. She’s our friend, Rainbow Dash,” Rarity explains.

“Fine.”

Rainbow Dash gets released.

“Why wouldn’t we try knocking and then asking nicely if we could come in?" Fluttershy suggests.

“You can try.” Spike withdraws himself from the library door, Walks towards his throne chair, sits, puts his feet on table near it, puts his hands on his back of the head, Closes his eyes, “It won’t help, I tried”

“What’s with that dragon?” Rainbow Dash wonders.

“Dash.” Flutterhy attracts Rainbow Dash attention, “Stop it.” Slowly raises her hoof, prepares to gently knock, “Twi-“

Fluttershy flies across the hall, after the first touch, repealed by the Twilights magic force field guarding door. Straight into throne chair with Spike in it.

CHRASH!

“Wha’?” Applejack stuns in place.

Pinkie Pie jump to run to see if Fluttershy is ok, “Fluttershy!” runs, screams worried. Approaches Fluttershy and grabs her unconscious, starts shaking –“Fluttershy”- until she wakes up.

“I’m ok, I’m ok Pinkie,” Fluttershy kindly explains. “Please let me down, I’m alright.”

Pinkie Pie happily releases Fluttershy.

“Are you really all’kay?” Applejack asks.

“Yes I think I am. Just some bruises though,” Fluttershy replies with a relief.

“Ugh!” Spike pushes Fluttershy off of him. “I’m fine too, thanks for forgetting about me.”

Everypony regrets forgetting Spike, although it was Spikes tone and actions that had led to this.

“We are sorry, dear Spike,” Rarity apologies.

“It’s not your fault, It’s Twilights and her magic trickery fault,” Spike explains.

“What are we going to do now?” Rarity wonders.

“I’m going to open it using force!” Rainbow Dash exclaims.

“STOP!” Pinkie Pie screams.

“Why?”

“You dummy, Fluttershy got kicked across the hall just for knocking,” Applejack explains.

“Yeah? And I’m going to-“

“Fly like ‘a ragdoll pony’ across Ponyville in speed of Sound.” Rarity interrupts Rainbow Dash.

“What do you know? You think you’re so clever?”

“Well yes, of course. Oh well at least certainly smarter than you.”

“Why you-“

“Hey!” Applejack interrupts arguing. “Stop ya’ll, we’re friends don’t ya forget it ‘kay?”

“Okay.” Both Rainbow Dash and Rarity calms down.

“What will we do now then?” Rarity wonders.

“We can wait,” Spike suggests.

“Wait?”

“Yes.”

“Well I suppose that’s our best option for now. Whatever it is with Twilight, we can’t get in. Does everypony agree on waiting?”

“Wait for what?” Rainbow Dash asks.

“For Twilight to come out.”

Everypony agrees on waiting. Rainbow Dash doesn’t like that, but agrees none the less.

“What now? What’ll we do in the meantime? Applejack wonders, knowing that doing nothing would be boring and could drive Rainbow Dash insane.

“How about a PARTY?!” Pinkie Pie screams excited suggesting.

“Oh no you don’t.”

“WHY?!”

“Don’t ya remember what you did at Sweety Bells birthday? You were too… ‘too overcharged’ you ‘now. It’s like you’re more energetic than usual. You destroyed the party."

“Oh.” Pinkie Pie cuts down her energetic tone and transcends into sadness.

Everypony goes silent.

Short after Spike remembers the sense from before. “Girls I have sensed something different about you all, I don’t know what it is.”

“What do you mean by that?” Rarity asks.

“Well… Um, don’t you feel different than before?”

“Well I certainly do, I have all these new ideas for my clothing design collection. I also gifted so many of them to everypony for… free…” Rarity slowly starts crying.

“What ya mean to say, you just gave away all your work? Applejack asks with a surprise.

Rarity nods in tears.

“Things ain’t too well for me either, I upset Apple Bloom with the truth. I was honest, I swear, but ain’t that clever.”

“All I wanted to bring was laughter and fun,” Pinkie Pie enters ‘the self-pity discussion’. “But then nobody enjoyed it and started avoiding me."

“Aha… What about others? Fluttershy?” Spike encourages other ponies to join ‘self-pity discussion.

“Well I, no, nothing good, I mean everything is ok, great, yes,” Fluttershy tries to lie, “No, my animals are avoiding me.” Fluttershy is unable to lie. “I seem to have gained the ability to keep track of all the animals from a far. But now they are calling me a creeper and disobey.”

“That’s horrible, Fluttershy.” Spike pity Fluttershy.

“How about you, Spike?” Rainbow Dash rudely asks Spike. “What troubles you?”

Spike takes a moment. Looks at everypony: Rarity crying, ruining her eye makeup, Pinkie pie is straight hair and sad, Fluttershy looks at one-color blue wall texture, Applejack stares at the library door, Twilight locked herself in, Rainbow Dash hovers in air waiting for a response from Spike.

Spike turns his back on Rainbow Dash and unwillingly answers, “I don’t feel respected by Twilight.”

“If you put that this way, then I don’t feel respected either. I tried to be loyal to the Wonderbolts, but now I just became a tool of theirs.

Loud explosion of the library door. Smoke and dust filled the surrounding. Slow hoof steps. Purple horn magic light.

While everypony and Spike are coughing from dust and smoke, Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, wings wide spread, enters the hall. “I’m ready!”
