Shy the dragon

Fluttershy laid in down on the ground, trying her best to calm her mind. She wasn't sure what was going on with her. She didn't understand what was going on; she didn't understand those new feels like the hunger for meat. She knew they were there whenever she thought of her animals friends, she could bear the thought of her eating them nor her friends. Then an image appeared in her mind of her eating her friends and other ponies she has seen. She tried to clear her mind of the thoughts but it's was getting harder as her new nature as a dragon became more...appalling. The idea of eating meat almost made her sick but she knew some ponies eat fish which some argued that counts as eating meat. She thought of how she would be able to catch fish or even be able to enter Ponyville without causing a panic. Too many thoughts ran through her head, it was becoming hard to think of any solution. So she did what she always does in this, listen to nature. She smiled as she listens to the quiet sound of the lake near her. There were few birds singing and a cool breeze was blowing.

"Beautiful day is it not, lass?" Said a slightly high-pitched voice to her right. Fluttershy jumped at the voice and backed up from it. Looking to where the voice came from. Fluttershy was greeted by a light blue dragon.

The dragon was a serpentine-like body with a mane that went down it's back but not like a pony more like a fin. Fluttershy swear the dragon had wing-like appendages, it's body was dark blue with a few white spots in the shape of a type of flower that she couldn't tell, while its eyes were a sea-green.

Fluttershy looked at this dragon as he stared back at her. Part of her wanted to run while another felt threaten like this new dragon has entered into her territory. Fluttershy then thought back to what he said 'Beautiful day is it not, lass?'. Fluttershy looked up to the clear skies before answering.

"Yes, it is." Fluttershy said to him. The two didn't say anything to each other for a few moments before the dragon spoke again.

"So, why ya here to this side of the lake?" He asked her. Fluttershy looked at him, tilting her head in confusion.

'Don't he mean neck of the woods?' Fluttershy thought to herself.

"Just wanted to clear my head, things have strange since yesterday. I've been feeling weird for a while." She said to him.

"Weird how?" He asked her. Fluttershy explains what happen yesterday, last night, and this morning. The dragon quietly listened to her as she told him how she been feeling odd when she with her other dragon friend named Spike. After a few minutes, the two talked more about each other, Fluttershy learned that this dragon was a Sea Dragon and his name was Nen. Fluttershy found it strange but Nen explains that sea dragon names their young that's water, sea, ocean, and arctic based. His name meant ancient water.

"Hmmm, I believe you might be going through greed. How you been having anything sense of wants or lust over anything other than your friend?" He asked her. Fluttershy thought about it for a few seconds before coming to a conclusion.

"Well I have been getting very angry at my good friend for a while now, but I'm not sure why. Anytime I see her I would get angry or feel as though she a threat. I even feel very threatened when she's near ~~my~~ Spike. It's like I can't stand her being near him." Fluttershy said to him.

"And you don't have any feelings for Spike or have an ill will with your friend Rarity?" He asked her tilting his head to the side. Fluttershy blushed at the thought of having feelings for Spike as he is and still (maybe) in love with Rarity but Fluttershy has noticed that Rarity has gone a bit far a few times. Now that Fluttershy thinks about it, Rarity has stolen taken the spotlight from Fluttershy many time when they were young.

There was that time when Fluttershy had a clotfriend. Rarity came by wearing a beautiful dress that was a little too revealing. After that, her coltfriend never stopped talking about how Rarity was beautiful was than her. Fluttershy was slightly fine with it till when they would get intimated one time he would call out Rarity. She was very angry with him before dropping him. He tried to explain himself but she didn't want to hear it so their relationship ended. After that, she has seen him with Rarity but that didn't last too long. Fluttershy would admit that she did hold some frustration of her friends at times but she never would hold it against them.

"Well there were few times, like when she would be a the center of attention but I don't mind all that much." Fluttershy told him faking a smile. Nen raised a brow at her in question.

"You're sure? It sounds like you don't get noticed all that much." He said to her in concern. Fluttershy's smile then slowly turned to a frown as she felt how she truly felt. She was really jealous of how Rarity and even ost of her friends get the spotlight more than she does. Sure Fluttershy was okay with it but if she was honest with herself, she would have ~~killed~~ begged for the courage to speak up.

"Well I do feel left out from some of the attention, I and my friends get." Fluttershy told him. Nen opened his mouth to say something but closed it. He wasn't sure what to say to her. Nen looked up at the sky and noticed what time to was.

"I'm not sure what to say, Miss Fluttershy. From what you told me, your fears are getting the better of you. You seem to almost submit to it, like it's chained you down." He said to her. Fluttershy let out some chuckle at the chained part, it reminded her of old fairy tales. Though she can't deny what he said. Fear has kept her down for a tone of moments in her life. She couldn't think of any time in her life where fear was present, not even her moments of bravery could match as after she would fall to fear moments later.

"Your right, Nen. I do let fear control me and I have let myself to be fine with it. I can't think of a time where I didn't have fears inside me at all time...but my faces do give me even straight to keep going and help in anyway I can." She said to him. Nen smiled at Fluttershy responds.

"Well we all have fears inside us all but we can only understand them before we can conquer. Do you know why you have such a great fear?" He asked her while tilting he head to the side. Fluttershy was about to respond but couldn't found the answer. As she thought, aloud feminine screeching sound pierced the sky. Fluttershy's ear fins twitched as she recognized the voice.

It was Rarity's.

Fluttershy worried about her friend took to the skies. She looked around till she looked towards a rocky area. She looked at it confused as to why she would go there still she remembered that area was where she usually get her gems...

...

And where the diamond dogs lived.

Quickly, she dashed forward towards the Rarity's screaming. Nen Watched as she flew away, wonder what get her attention but that wasn't his business so he then fell backward into the water.
