After a magic mishap Fluttershy was turn into a dragon. Not use to the new look her friends attack her thinking she a dragon here to attack Ponyville. Once thing calm down Twilight explain what happen and promises to Shy that she'll find a way to turn her back to a pony. As Twilight studies to reverse the spell, Spike will be helping Fluttershy with her dragon habits and instincts. As the two dragons bond something in them both grows and later blooms but with all things there's always one pony who isn't happy about it or should I say two ponies.
