Outcast

Well here I am writing down my thoughts on an old torn down diary, that I've kept since the whole rebellion uprising or whatever it's called. So where shall I begin? rain all I see nowadays is rain, heavy or light warm or cold it's nothing but rain for the past four days I think, I haven't kept count of time recently so I'm going to be a little bit off when it comes to dates. My name is Mystery Sparkles obviously & I'm on my soul rendering search for the "source" whose the source you may ask? well I don't know but I think I have a good clue. Recently during my past training exercise, well not really a past exercise because it happened an hour ago I've experienced a sign of the future.

Everypony may think I'm crazy but I'll assure you that I'm a well trained & wise for a young teenage mare, now there is this tactic that every student & warrior under the unicorn race would use for better understanding. I was managing my thoughts to observe my primary objective or what my uncle would say "Your Destiny" I'm not a religious mare myself but I do find the whole idea of "communicating with the spirits" interesting. Back to the story I had received a sign from my inner self & what I saw seemed to be the last hope this planet has to surviving a devastating empire. Remember the children of the mane six? well I've seen myself with an element around my fragile neck, along side what I would call the children. Each had their own element & me myself found this to be a particular message, so in response I hiked down here at ponyvill to find a "source" of something.

To my surprise I think I've found her, yes It was another unicorn to my delight & I think I've found the daughter of Rarity! blue scattered mane, light blue eyes, neon green coat, well you get the idea oh & I forgot to mention that she tries to hard to dress with expression, although this mare is not afraid to get her hooves dirty unlike her mother. Oh & did I mention that she's a hardcore mad scientist! crazy huh? this marks the end of the first diary entry so without further ado.

Entry Day One.

Mystery Sparkles & "the source" ran inside a local fashion shop & quickly closed the doors from any form of intruders, the place was a shadow of it's former self the inside was rather nasty than fashionably designed like it once was. It's hard to believe that under one year a place can drastically change & not for the good! Equestia was under it's last leg & the war was turning to a darker path from light. Everypony had it rough & they would continue to receive it for days to come, only the rebellion had a better living condition & life despite the fact that they were causing crimes against all of pony kind. For the past four days rain pounded the land & it was a turning point for the Freedom Fighters, this was a conclusion for clean drinking water & it also strengthen the crops for extra bits of food.

The strange mare looked out of the window & turned towards Mystery with wonders filling her eyes.

                         "Aren't you crazy? everypony knows it's dangerous to roam the suburb streets out in the vast open! just be glad that you weren't killed. Now lets get to know each other, hello I'm Starlight Charmer & it's a pleasure to meet you! now what's your name my dear?"

                          "What do you mean by it's dangerous to walk out into the open? oh & I'm Mystery Sparkles by the way!"

Starlight's eyes popped out with such epic proportion's, she had never been face to face with the only daughter of the once beloved princess Twilight Sparkles. Everypony knew who Mystery Sparkles is & she was one of many set examples of hope & peace for the sake of sin & sympathy onto the enemy. Starlight kept one piece of weaponry with her but it wasn't the weapon anypony would of expected, instead she kept the Element of Generosity with her as a weapon of keeping everything under the right check. Who knows what powers can be lifted if the element was combined once more.

                            "Twilights daughter? the one & only Mystery Sparkles? oh my word I knew this day would come but I never excepted it under such destructive chapters. Where is your element my dear? you know the one passed down to you."

The element of friendship was never recovered after the invasion of Ponyvill, nopony knows the location of the element or even if it's under the right condition. The elements were known by others as a "super weapon" against danger or any other horrific conflicts, this war by itself can end under the power of the Elements of Harmony. Shadow Stalker alone is one of many powerful individuals under the land, he was the leader of the rebellion, he was the first to kill all of the princesses, he's now ruler of the lands & he's also the first ever male Alicorn.

It's no surprise that Shadow Stalker was a force to be reckoned with, many felt betrayed after the harsh laws placed upon them & the terrible living conditions they faced. Everything was now under a strict series of orders, pulling the rights under the nose of many. It was a rather hypocritical move Shadow Stalker made, Mystery Sparkles rounds her hoof on the back of her head thinking of a better way to explain the loss of the Friendship Element.

                "Well you see um, I don't have it. I never actually received it & I don't know where it's located, so I need help to retrieve it & also to destroy that decisive monster Shadow Stalker, so here I am & you never answered my question."

                "Oh my apologies! troops of Shadow Stalker were stationed to watch the areas of small & large towns. In other words if anypony was seen out in the open without any identity, they would be shot on point! now I must continue my scientific research if you don't mind."

Starlight walked towards one of the less appealing doors around the back, only to be followed by Mystery in a act of confusion. The whole shop was now transformed into a lab of designs & examination, Starlight was one of the most smartest mares in ponyvill & under the fact that the war epidemic turned her towards solving issues with science & conclusions. The world has changed & not for the best, however there are still figments left of the mane six. Rarity was still alive & was well kept to the full potential. Bottles filled with potions & computers (a new invention by Starlight) packed the room from the top down.

Mystery was surprised & shocked to see such different devices being applied to their use, the strange liquids boil softly in the abstracted tubes & the computers quickly picked up information as fast as a cheetah. The place was outstanding & very particular in a way, many questions ran through Mystery's head about the subject, & everything in the room reminded Mystery about her mother & how she would love to study science.

                  "This place? the potions? b-but how? if you don't mind me asking."

Starlight looked up at the different machines & bottles & started to laugh gently over the question.

                  "Welcome to my lab Mystery! it would be an honor to show all the instruments & devices the aid me, constantly everyday. I've studied the elements & the power within Shadow Stalker & I've made progress on designing a alternative piece to the war"

                  "This is outstanding! a new sign of hope for us all. Tell me if this one of the many alternatives of the war & a new element to be added to the harmony group, than what do you call it? I mean what's it's representation?"

                  "Oh I didn't invent the element but I found it. It's a rather long story but I have time to tell, during the fall of Tyrek & the rise of Twilight's new kingdom, the mane six gave out a promise to the citizens, a promise that should never be broken. A new element was formed under the night sky & it alone was the most beautiful force in all of Equistia. The Element of Magic was their promise to the ponies.

Starlight walked towards one of the cabinets & pulled out a extremely decorated golden crown, purple diamonds were fitted along the sides & the middle shined a moon with a figment of a star behind it, Mystery's cutie mark was sliced into the middle of the crown. The source was now recovered & a new hope was in effect. What was strange about the crown however is her cutie mark being placed upon the element, more questions ran through Mystery's head like a never ending super storm. Was this the message that her inner mind was trying to give her? only until then she'll find out.

I'm back diary, it's me Mystery Sparkles obviously but I'm writing under some rather important data I've acquired. Yes I finally found it! first off the name of the mare was Starlight Shimmer & I was very humble to find out the different working progresses in her lab. Basically in a nutshell Starlight was & still is, a very observant pony, & from what I've been told, she's been studying the ideals & common morals of the enemy. Yes this includes Shadow Stalker thankfully! so she told me about a hidden promise that the mane six made to the civilians of Equestia. That promise was the new Element of Magic! I found my source & now I must learn it properly.

Starlight somehow found the element (Celestia knows where) & took it in for more further studies, the best way I could describe the look of the element was a golden crown with my cutie mark printed solid in the middle of the center. I'm still trying to figure out why cutie mark was placed upon it especially since the element was formed before I was even born! maybe the spirits know, & hopefully I could come in contact with my mothers soon.

Off in the distance on the right corner of the two a door creaked open with a sudden disturbance, inside walked a white unicorn with a tidy clean purple mane & a diamond cutie mark. It was Rarity one of the surviving ponies of the mane six. Rarity quickly took notice over at Mystery & Mystery took noticed over at Rarity.

        "Oh my heavens! do you happen to be Mystery Sparkles my dear? no wait you are Mystery Sparkles I've took noticed at your cutie mark. My have you grown! I heard about your training with your uncle, I found it silly though but of course Potion Sparkles was a wise soldier back during the war."

         "You must be Rarity. I think I remember you back when I was a filly, how did you manage to survive the mane six extermination order?"

      "Ha it was easy! I hid here, but nowadays there is no place to hide ever since the rebellion checked upon the houses & homes everyday. I'll soon be found & I'm afraid it might happen anytime now."

Rarity took a peek outside through the window & saw many freedom fighters helping other ponies with supplies. It was a rather warm feeling to her heart seeing others working together to solve problems. Brave Heart quickly grabbed his belongings & headed downstairs to meet with Lone Wolf for his next location, the house was rather quite than usual but Brave Heart ignored the confusion & headed down to be greeted.

                                               "Well where should I began?"

Asked Brave Heart as he strapped the bag around his back.

                   "I'm afraid we are under a rather unnerving scale. Apparently our hideout's in Ponyvill were compromised from select group of spies. Brave Heart we can't trust nopony around here & I hope you don't take this personally but I'm ordering lighting Flicker to accompany you during your trip to Saddle Arriba."

                  "Lone Wolf you know for a fact that I'm against Shadow Stalkers ways & commands. I mean really? I need a backup pony just to watch me? with all do respect, you need to get real for once. Ever since day one I've been sending & retrieving messages across the globe just for you!"

Anger filled the eyes of Brave Heart as he sneered with disrespect towards Lone Wolf. He quickly snatched the letter out of Lone Wolf's hoof & places it in his bag. Lighting Flicker was a young teenage stallion who turned his fate towards the freedom fighters, he has a black coat & a silver mane along with grayish blue eyes. His personality changed drastically when the war started & many see him to be repetitive & quiet. Mostly every group tries to avoid being placed with Lighting Flicker because of his shyness & abstracted choices, Brave Heart is no exception.

Lone Wolf gave a stern look towards Brave Heart & placed his hoof with command, in his right Lighting Flicker is one of the many young "brave" kids to ever serve him & would have always kept a close eye on him when it comes to outside missions. Lone Wolf turned towards Brave Heart & said.

           "I'm not pointing my hoof directly at you but I'm giving out an order that you, must agree with! look I know it's tough after the past year when the princesses were killed but at least give the boy a chance. He's only sixteen for heaven sake!"

     "Yeah & I'm in my thirty's! I don't need a stupid insecure Pegasus flying along side with me! I'm a grown stallion & I should be treated like one."

                                                      "Oh & your not flying Brave Heart, your walking. I need knowledge of any foot soldiers so I hope you understand."

Brave Heart walked out of the room carrying the bag around his back muttering every step along the way, Lighting Flicker was seated along side a dinner table in a shack outside thinking about past memories. A stack of cards were organized along side the table & small collectable cones were grafted inside an old small sack, what you may call an old shack was Lighting Flicker's home. The inside of the shack was filled with different antique objects that were collected over the years, many older than the rest. Lightning Flicker's main hobby was collecting old figments of history & storing them to their beloved shape.

Brave Heart walked towards the back deck of the house & spotted the young teen playing around with a set of cards, he walks into the shack & said.

"Alright kid I got good news & bad news. The good news is that I'm finally getting out of the house for a message to be sent, but the bad news is that I'm stuck with you. So no flying & please try not to get in way will you? of course you will, you do it almost every time. Your dead parents made a big mistake inventing you! now come along."

Mystery grabs the element & begins searching for any form of equipment to place the element in, although it may seem like an easy task inside a once known fashion shop but it was rather extremely difficult. Everything seemed to be out of place with most merchandise gone or lost inside the building, a strong feeling raged inside Mystery causing her to stop searching for a brief minuet. She had a odd felling of danger coming close to her presence, as if a strong force was heading towards the source. She suddenly shut her eyes & stood in place waiting for a message.

In her mind She could see an army with a tall uplifting stallion with a grey coat & rainbow styled hair, it was no guess that she saw Rainbow Dash's son but what was devious was the fact that he is leading an attack. It soon came back to Mystery's mind that a new source was found & he was with the dark emperor Shadow Stalker. Starlight ran up towards Mystery & asked.

                           "I don't know for fact if this is your way of stealing my belongings but what are you doing?"

"I feel a strong hint of danger & I need to diverse a way to protect the element. Shadow Stalker is after the source I can feel it! who knows what powers he can rage across the land if he get's his hooves over it. I need to take a walk & think for a minuet, care to come along?"

Rarity looked over at her as if she's mad & said.

                                                   "Are you mad? You'll surly be killed once you hit the first step in the outside world!"

                                      "There's no foot soldiers around to exterminate me. So are you two coming along or not?"

Mystery grabbed her diary including the element & started to head towards the door, Rarity & Starlight began to follow behind her with mixed feelings about what they may encounter along the trip. The rain like always continued to pour it's cold tendencies along the strange hikers, Mystery pulled out her diary & started to write a new script along side a new page. the ground was extremely thick & muddy which force the walk harder among the three, but it didn't stop Mystery from taking her stroll down through the town. Many ponies noticed Mystery Sparkles & grew excited seeing her appearance, many find her to be the last hope of the war but others claim that she's just an young sixteen year old mare with nothing else better to do.

Almost the whole town excited their homes just to see her, despite the danger they claim the town has experienced. Lone Wolf was the most affected pony that saw her, he was the only stallion besides Potion Sparkles to know her deeply way before her mom Twilight passed away. A warm smile grew among his face with the content of joy & freedom, a huge crowd covered town square. Everypony was awaiting her arrival besides Brave Heart & Lighting Flicker, as those two started their trip an hour ago.

Cheers raged across the streets & the suburbs of Ponyvill over the arrival. Mystery looked on & smiled over the unexpected hype she received. Her mind however kept it's focus among her new search of the new source, which was the son of Rainbow Dash. Although she was unaware but the one question ran through her head "Why is her son commanding an army belonging to Shadow Stalker?"

Mystery kept the thought & was prepared to confront him.

Meanwhile the hike continued for hours with Brave Heart & Lightning Flicker, their legs were getting sour & their stomachs gargled for food. straight ahead Brave Heart noticed a moving crowed heading towards them, it didn't take long for him to relies that the crowed was actually a large pack of soldiers being lead by a strange looking stallion.

              "Alright kid keep your mouth shut, & leave the talking to me!"

The group gained attention towards the suspicious two travelers & Brave Heart's eyes started to grow with surprise, as he seeks the familiar Pegasus named Rain Dasher, & it was no surprise that his army was sent by Shadow Stalker to seek & destroy the remaining free forces of Ponyvill.
