A Fresh Start and a New Love

Days progressed to weeks and soon, two months after his rather unpleasant encounter with Flitter, Thunder had his own life in Ponyville. Having more time to practice his drawings and spend time with Dash because together they could deal with the weather faster than they ever could alone. Life was going great for Thunder, he finally had some money stashed away for personal use and still had a steady income from his work with Dash.

He kept himself busy when Dash was off doing her own thing by visiting Twilight and teaching her how to draw, because of Twilight’s unicorn powers, she adapted very quickly. After time, Twilight became almost as good as Thunder and even began to fill up her own sketchbook that Thunder had bought her as a thank you gift for being the one to help set his amazing new life in Ponyville in motion.

Thunder was sitting in the bedroom drawing a rather, obscene picture of Dash that he had drawn in the past, that well, needed to be redone with his improved skill, when Dash trotted into the room and greeted him with a hug. “Oh drawing smut of me are we?” Dash questioned with a rather lustful look on her face as she eyed Thunder, blushing and trying to hide his work.

“Oh uhmm, yeah, this is an old drawing that I thought I’d try my hoof at re doing it.”

Thunder had given up on trying hiding his work from Dash as she grabbed it from him and brought it in front of her face. Eying the well done monochromatic, fully rendered pencil drawing of her in a sexy pose was, in a way, flattering to her. “Wow, your drawings really have improved; I remember the old version of this.” Dash looked over at Thunder with a sly grin, “Your old version was based solely off of seeing a single black and white image of me in the newspaper, but yet you produced such a good drawing, and this one is amazing and boy do I look sexy in it.” Dash was now chuckling to herself.

“Hey Dash, I uhhm, well during my drawing sessions with Twilight, she asked me when I was moving out of your house, seeing as I have my own income and I can manage to support myself.” Thunder was never very good at bringing up big issues, he usually just let them fester inside in hopes he would forget.

“Wait, you’re leaving me? Why would you move out!?!?” Dash looked almost angry, “Why would you? Aren’t we? I uhmm.” her face drooped into a sad look, almost lost… She moved slowly over to Thunder wrapping her forelegs around Thunder’s foreleg in a pleading embrace. “Don’t go…” Dash whispered solemnly as a tear fell from her lavender eyes and onto Thunder’s hoof.

“I didn’t say I was, I just thought about what Twilight said, and I felt like I was just burdening you. I thought maybe if I moved out, then you would have your own bed back and I won’t be using your money or stealing your food. I just feel bad for it all…” Thunder was slowly putting his drawings back into his saddlebag.

“You aren’t a burden and I uhmm” Dash’s voice began to go quiet… “I like having you in my bed, I’d feel lonely without you there now…”

“I know but it was only a thought, if you want me to stay, I’ll stay…” Thunder said hugging Dash trying to comfort her.

“I don’t want you to stay because I want you to!” Dash yelled angrily with tears rolling down her face, “I want you to stay with me because you want to!”

“Dash, I do want to, I just didn’t want to impede upon your life, I just felt like I barged in unannounced and changed your life around…” Thunder was trying to tell Dash what he wanted to say without hurting her feelings any more. “I just thought you might want to get back to your life.”

“This is my life!” Dash yelled, tears falling off her face as she yelled, her eyes were blood shot from all the crying, “You are now part of my life Thunder!” her voice began to go quiet again, “I love you and I don’t want you to leave me…”

Thunder nuzzled the top of Dash’s head as she clung to his fore hoof. “I did want to stay, I really don’t want to leave and if I’m staying then, I’m going to help pay the bills and try to not be a burden… I’ll even get my own room ok? I’ll sleep here on the couch, give you some personal space.”

“No… I don’t want to spend the nights alone anymore, I was so lonely at night without you, spending all of those nights dreaming that I had my very own special somepony, and now that I do, he is telling me that he doesn’t want to spend the night in the same bed as me.” Dash continued to sob, she felt like her heart was being torn apart, “Thunder, I love you… please stay with me”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way, if you really want me to sleep with you, I guess I could try and deal with it…” Thunder joked, hoping to cheer her up.

“I really hope you do *sniffle*, something really bugs me though…” Dash said with a smile breaking through her sadness.

“What might that be?” Thunder said with a sigh of relief that Dash had changed the subject.

“I was always the coolest Pony in Equestria, and the fastest too...” Dash sighed, “And ever since you came along, you're just so dang cool!”

“You think I’m cool? Really now?” Thunder smirked.

“Thunder, you’re faster than me! I’m supposed to be the fastest pony in Equestria and you can beat me in a race!” Dash said with slight annoyance in her voice. “Ugh, you can draw! You’re fast, strong, your wings are huge and Celestia I might add, it’s just such a turn on! That fact that you’re better than me, it-it-it, just burns me up!”

“Dash, seriousl- mmph!” Thunder was interrupted by Dash tackling him to the ground, she began to kiss him passionately. She slowly moaned into his mouth, causing Thunder to melt into his lover.
