Chapter 11 The Fearless King

What we do now decides everything.

We cannot fail.

We cannot mess up.

We cannot lose.

We must win.

We must take our home back.

We must….fight.

Where Thunderstorm and the others are.

“Fire faster!!!” Thunderstorm screams.

“I’m trying!!!” David says.

“I hate these dame things so much.” Isaac says.

“They’re Twitchers right?” Twilight says.

“Yep.” “A whole truck load of them!!!” David says.

“No.” “Firefly did not die for nothing.” Thunderstorm says and levitates the baby and Rainbow Dash off his back and stops running.

JT picks up Rainbow Dash and keeps running.

Rarity picks up Rain and keeps running.

Thunderstorm faces the Twitchers.

David and Isaac stand beside him.

“How many do you count?” Thunderstorm says.

“30.” David says.

“Me too.” “There was 40 but we shot them.” Isaac says.

“Run.” “Catch up to the others.” Thunderstorm says.

“What?!!” David says.

“I’m not leaving anyone to die.” Isaac says.

“I won’t die.” “I’ll catch up once I’m done.” “Now go.” Thunderstorm says.

“You’re lying.” “I can tell.” “Not even you can handle that many Twitchers.” David says.

“He’s right.” “Think Thunderstorm.” Isaac says.

“Go now.” “That’s an order not a request.” “I’am the king of Equestria and you will do what I say.” Thunderstorm says.

“N…No.” David says.

“I’m not from Equestria.” “You have no power over me.” Isaac says.

The wind picks up.

“I said go!!!” Thunderstorm says and the wind blows Isaac and David far away from Thunderstorm.

They quickly stand up in time to the see the crowd of Twitchers engulf Thunderstorm.

“No.” David says.

“The only pony that I’ve ever respected is now dead.” “Great.” “Just great!” “Without him we’re dead anyway!!” “None of us could hold a Brute in place like he did!!” “For the others to shoot its arms and legs off!!” “And the way he made it so easy to kill an Ubermorph.” “And that little girl.” “She’s already had to lose her mother.” “What are we going to tell her?” Isaac says.

“Nothing.” “We don’t know for sure yet that he’s actually dead.” “Come on.” “We’ll tell the others what he said.” “That he’ll show up when he’s done.” David says.

“Ok.” Isaac says.

They reach the others.

“Where’s Thunderstorm?” Rainbow Dash says.

“He said he’d catch up once he was done with the Twitchers.” David says.

“You left him alone to face 30 Twitchers!!!” Rainbow Dash says.

“They’ll kill him!!” Applejack says.

Rainbow Dash starts crying.

“I know he’s dead…I know it.” She says and starts crying worse.

“How could you…just leave him like that?” Twilight says.

“We had no choice.” David says.

“He sent us flying back with wind.” Isaac says.

“We tried to stay but he wouldn’t let us.” David says.

“Curse his stubbornness.” Rarity says.

Tears go down Fluttershy’s cheeks.

“My…brother.” She says and starts crying.

David wraps a wing around her.

She pushes him away.

“Get away from me!!” She says and breaks down crying.

“Don’t worry.” “She’s just upset right now.” “She’ll calm down.” “Give her time.” Isaac says.

“I promised her I find out in time.” “She’s more than mad at me.” “I let her brother die and I broke a promise.” David says.

“Like you said.” “We don’t know for sure yet.” Isaac says.

“I hope he’s alive or I may have lost Fluttershy forever.” David says.

“They’re pretty close huh?” Isaac says.

“He’s been a big brother to her since they were 13.” “Yeah.” “They’re pretty close is an understatement.” David says.

“He’ll show up.” “You’ll see.” “I can already tell that he’s not one to die that easily.” Isaac says.

“With him…you never really know.” “He could be dead and he could not be.” “He’s unpredictable.” David says.

“All good leaders are.” Isaac says.

“He gave us his blessing for getting married but I may have done something unforgivable.” David says.

“Give him time.” “He’ll show up.” Isaac says.

Ratchet pulls out a map.

“I made a secondary plan incase Thunderstorm did end up dead.” “We can still save Equestria but it’s going to be a lot harder.” He says.

“Really?” “You’re pulling that out now?” JT says.

“Like Isaac said.” “We need to move fast.” “There’s no time for grieving right now.” Ratchet says.

Rainbow Dash stops crying and her eyes are cold.

She stands up more straight.

“He’s right.” “Thunder did not die for nothing and we are wasting time.” “Let’s take Equestria back for him and everypony else that has died.” “I won’t let him die in vain!!” Rainbow Dash says.

Ratchet nods at her.

“Let’s go.” He says.

“I…I…can’t move.” “I don’t want to leave him.” Fluttershy says.

JT picks her up.

“We’re not leaving you.”He says.

“Thank you.” Fluttershy says.

“No problem.” JT says.

David levitates Dia De Los Muerto onto his back.

She looks back towards where Thunderstorm and the Twitchers are.

“Daddy.” She says.

Tears go down her cheeks.

She closes her eyes tight.

Tears pouring out.

Isaac looks back to.

“You better show up soon or we’re all dead.” Isaac says.
