Chapter 10 The Flames of a True Brother

“Yall keep going!” “I’ll slow em down!” Firefly says.

“The hay you will!” Applejack says.

POW!!

Applejack falls down knocked out.

Thunderstorm stands behind her.

Firefly looks at him.

They shake hoofs.

Thunderstorm levitates Applejack onto Ratchet’s back then looks at Firefly.

“I love you brother.” Thunderstorm says.

Firefly nods.

“I love you to brother.” “Now go.” Firefly says.

Thunderstorm nods and they all take off.

Firefly pulls out his plasma cutter.

“I aint going down without a fight.” “Bring it you son of bitches.” “I’ll show you just what a country stallion can do.” He says.

“Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!” The Ubermorphs roar.

30 miles from where Firefly is.

Thunderstorm and the others have stopped to catch their breath.

“She’s….breaking my…..back.” Ratchet says.

“Really?” “Be a stallion Ratchet.” Thunderstorm says.

“I don’t have amazing strength that came from a Dark King father!” Ratchet says.

“You still have strength!!” “You’re a stallion for crying out loud!!” “Stop being a mare.” Thunderstorm says.

The girls look at Thunderstorm.

“Name one mare that can lift as much as me.” Thunderstorm says.

The girls look away.

“Exactly.” “Now stop being a mare and stallion up.” Thunderstorm says.

“Since you’re so strong why don’t you carry her?” Ratchet says.

“Because she’s probably going to jump awake and I have a baby on my back.” “Think man!!” Thunderstorm says.

“Then we’ll take turns.” “JT.” “You carry her now.” Ratchet says.

“I don’t want to carry her.” JT says.

“Twilight.” Thunderstorm says.

Twilight looks at JT.

“Yes ma’am.” “Let me see her.” JT says.

Ratchet levitates her onto JT’s back.

“Wow she’s heavy.” JT says.

“We’ll she is the strongest mare you’ll ever find.” “Which is nowhere close to my strength.” “I love who my parents are.” Thunderstorm says.

“Oh buck.” David says.

BOOM!!

He Faints.

“Oh come on.” “We really don’t need this right now.” Thunderstorm says.

In David’s head.

David looks around and sighs.

“Let’s get this over with.” He says.

“Is that all this is to you?” “A get this over with moment.” A voice says.

David turns around.

“Applebloom!!” “What the hay are you doing here?!!” He says.

“You were like an uncle to me uncle David.” Applebloom says.

David smiles.

“Thank you Applebloom.” He says.

“So why did you let me die?” “I cried out for you and Applejack.” “Neither one of you came.” Applebloom says.

Tears go down her cheeks.

“And I died.” “Those things….killed me.” She says.

“I wanted to come for you but there was no time.” “I’m sorry.” David says.

Applebloom walks up to him and hugs him.

David kneels down and hugs her back.

Cheerilee appears behind him.

Her eyes glowing.

Applebloom’s eyes start glowing and she squeezes tighter on David’s neck.

He grabs her hoofs and tries to pry them open.

Cheerilee pulls out a needle.

Where Thunderstorm and the others are.

“Why is he choking himself and holding a needle with his tail?” Thunderstorm says.

“You should know by now.” Isaac says.

“I was joking.” Thunderstorm says.

“Well don’t.” Isaac says.

“Sorry.” “Jeez.” Thunderstorm says.

Back inside of David’s head.

He pries Applebloom’s hoofs open and throws her across the blackness then quickly spins around and stops the needle.

Cheerilee smiles and pushes harder.

The needle is one inch from David’s eye.

“N…No.” “No!!” He says and kicks her in the stomach and takes the needle from her and jabs it between her eyes.

She stumbles backwards then falls down dead.

Everything goes white.

Back to where Thunderstorm and the others are.

David’s eyes slowly open.

“Oooh.” “That never gets any easier.” David says.

Thunderstorm hoofs him a med kit.

“Your health is blinking red.” “You need this bad.” Thunderstorm says.

David takes it.

“Thanks.” David says.

“Just looking after my brother-in-law.” Thunderstorm says.

“Brother-in-law?” David says.

“Well you are going to marry Fluttershy aren’t you?” Thunderstorm says.

“Of course.” David says.

“Well she’s my sister so you’re my brother-in-law.” Thunderstorm says.

“Oh.” “Duh.” “Cool!!” David says.

“I’ll marry yall once this whole mess is over.” Thunderstorm says.

“What if we don’t make it?” David says.

“I’ll make sure you both make it don’t worry.” Thunderstorm says.

“What about you?” David says.

“If I don’t make it then Dashy can marry yall.” “Just know that you both have my blessing.” Thunderstorm says.

“…..Thank you.” David says.

“Don’t mention it.” “Let’s move out ponies!!” Thunderstorm says.

“You heard the stallion.” “Move it!!” “We don’t got time to waste.” “We need to be fast.” Isaac says.

Fluttershy walks up to David.

“What’s wrong?” She says.

“I don’t think Thunder plans on surviving this.” David says.

“Oh my.” “We got to tell Rainbow Dash.” Fluttershy says.

“No.” “We don’t know for sure and there’s no reason to start something like that unless we’re sure.” David says.

“But how can we be sure before it’s too late?” Fluttershy says.

“We can’t.” David says.

“He can’t die.” Fluttershy says.

Tears go down her cheeks.

“I already lost Angel….he was like a son to me.” “I don’t need to lose my brother to.” She says.

David wraps a wing around her.

“Don’t get upset.” “We don’t know for sure yet.” “I’ll find out in time.” “I promise.” David says.

They kiss then catch up to the others.
