Chapter 9 A Broken Heart

Everypony looks at Thunderstorm as they walk.

Thunderstorm keeps walking.

Staring forward.

“Thunder…are you ok?” Rainbow Dash says.

Thunderstorm keeps walking.

“Thunder please answer me.” She says.

Thunderstorm looks at her then looks forward again and keeps walking.

“Oh my gosh.” Rainbow Dash says.

“I know that look.” “Don’t do it!” Isaac says.

Thunderstorm stops walking.

“This world is not Equestria anymore.” “It’s Hell.” “Our world is dying and I can’t live in a place like this.” Thunderstorm says.

Tears go down his cheeks.

“My first and only daughter is dead….and she just tried to kill me.” “My own mother tries to kill me.” “Ha huh.” “No.” “Don’t tell me not to do it because I’m done.” “I can’t take it anymore.” “I want to see Scootaloo smiling again.” “I want to feel mother hugging me again.” He says and closes his eyes tight.

Tears pouring out.

Storm clouds form over him.

“What is going on?!” David says.

“He’s going to kill himself with lightning.” “He’s given up.” Isaac says.

“N…No!” David says.

Tears go down Rainbow Dash’s cheeks.

“Thunderstorm please don’t…don’t leave me.” “Don’t leave us.” She says and rubs her stomach.

Thunderstorm looks at her.

“I love you Dashy.” “I’m sure I’ll see you both soon.” He says.

“Please.” “We can still save Equestria.” Rainbow Dash says.

“It’s never too late.” Twilight says.

“Please stick by us.” “We’ve stuck by you partner.” “It’s only right that you do the same.” Applejack says.

“I made you some cupcakes.” “Please don’t go Thundy.” Pinkie Pie says.

Fluttershy walks up to Thunderstorm.

“After all the years you’ve looked after me.” “You’re just going to leave me?” She says.

“You don’t need me anymore.” “You have David.” “Don’t you get it?” “I’m the King of Equestria.” “I was responsible for keeping all the lives that are dead now alive.” “I was supposed to protect them but they’re all dead.” “We’re all that’s left.” “I couldn’t even protect my own daughter.” “I’m done Flutter.” Thunderstorm says.

“So you’re just going to leave me and Rainbow Dash and your own unborn baby to die?” “I thought you cared about us?” Fluttershy says.

Tears go down Fluttershy’s cheeks.

“I thought you cared about me and everypony else.” Fluttershy says.

“I do.” Thunderstorm says.

“Then don’t leave us….please.” Fluttershy says.

A creature walks out of the forest.

“Oh crap an Ubermorph!” David says.

It runs at Dia De Los Muerto.

SHING!!

It’s claw hits Thunderstorm’s armor.

Dia De Los Muerto looks up at Thunderstorm and smiles.

“You’ve taken enough.” “You won’t take her!!!” Thunderstorm says.

SHING!!!

He cuts the claw off.

“Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!” The Ubermorph screams.

“David!” “Isaac!” “Shoot the rest of its arms off!” Thunderstorm says.

POW!! POW!!

David and Isaac shoot them off.

“Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!” It screams again.

SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!!

The thing falls into pieces.

Dead.

Thunderstorm kneels down in front of Dia De Los Muerto.

“Are you ok sweetie?” He says.

She hugs him.

“I’m fine daddy.” “Thank you.” She says.

Thunderstorm smiles.

“Happy to sweetie.” He says.

“You see.” “You do still have something to live for.” Isaac says.

“You do still have a daughter.” “You’re hugging her right now.” David says.

Isaac walks up between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

“They were in your head to when you were killing that thing weren’t they?” Isaac says.

“Of course.” Thunderstorm says.

“A beautiful pregnant wife, a beautiful sister, and a pretty daughter.” “Can you really leave?” Isaac says.

Thunderstorm looks at Dia De Los Muerto.

She smiles at him.

Her beautiful light blue eyes shining at him.

Thunderstorm smiles back.

“No…No I can’t.” He says.

She hugs him tight.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy run over and hug him to.

Thunderstorm stands up with Dia De Los Muerto on his back and looks at her, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash.

“My family.” “You are the strongest part of me.” “Thank you for keeping me alive.” He says.

“Awwwww.” They all say and hug him.

“You said he’s a Dark King right?” Isaac says.

“Yep.” David says.

“Are you sure that you know what a Dark King is?” Isaac says.

“You haven’t seen what we’ve seen.” “Trust me.” “He fits the title.” David says.

“but he’s not evil.” Isaac says.

“It’s very complicated ok.” “I can’t explain it.” “Let’s just move on.” David says.

“Ok.” Isaac says.

4 months later.

Rainbow Dash is lying up against a tree holding hers and Thunderstorm’s baby.

“Awwwwww.” “It’s a girl.” Twilight says.

Thunderstorm smiles.

“What do you want to name her?” He says.

Rainbow Dash smiles.

“Rain.” “Rainstorm.” She says.

Thunderstorm smiles even more.

“Perfect.” He says.

“She’s so cute.” “Goochy goochy goo.” Rarity says.

Rain giggles.

“I still can’t believe that Fluttershy is 4 months pregnant.” Applejack says.

Fluttershy blushes.

“Still as beautiful as the first day I saw her.” David says.

Fluttershy kisses his cheek and smiles.

Isaac looks at them all and smiles.

“There is hope.” Isaac thinks.

Thunderstorm gives Rainbow Dash a long kiss and smiles.

“I love you Dashy.” “Thank you for this wonderful gift.” He says.

Rainbow Dash smiles.

“Thank you to.” She says.

“For what?” Thunderstorm says.

“For being here.” She says and kisses him.

He kisses her back.

“Uh….it’s time to move!” “We got about three Ubermorphs heading this way!!” Isaac says.

Thunderstorm levitates Rainbow Dash onto his back then Rain into a small crib that’s on Rainbow Dash’s back.

“Let’s go.” He says.

“Your strength is ridiculous.” Isaac says.

“We know.” “Now run!!” David says.
