Restoration

"M-my sister is... what?" Asked the now crying white unicorn. I had forgotten it was her sister and I felt my face turn pale. I looked over at Applejack and she was glaring at me, so were the others in the vehicle. I started up in my defence.

"You all realize why guns are important now?!" I shouted and they remained silent, looking at each other. "You're all lucky I went prepared, otherwise it would be more than just two deaths!"

I waited as they remained silent and felt the APC start to slow. I look outside the door and find the we have arrived in Ponyville. I didn't question much on how we got from Canterlot to Ponyville so fast as I hopped out of the vehicle. I looked back and noticed that the three kids, one was sobbing, had jumped onto my shoulders. I thought about this might minimize my movement with the gun, but I liked having them on my shoulder, and one on my head.

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your names." I asked and they looked down and I got worried Probably to early.

"Mah names Apple Bloom. Her name is Scootaloo." She said pointing to the pony on my head. "And this... is Sweetie Belle." I looked at the sobbing unicorn and sighed.

"I'm sorry, I was just mad." I told her and she looked at me.

"How... how did she die?" She asked with tears in her eyes. I froze and looked at the stares of the ponies who now understood the importance of their guns.

"I... well... she..." I started and looked down. "She fell down a air shoot." I said and she replied with a nod.

I sighed with relief and heard a beeping noise from my heart beat locator on my wrist and looked at it. Twilight's heartbeat was still intact, meaning she was still alive. I looked up at the group, all looking at me, mad that they could have saved their friend, but they had to understand that friends didn't really matter here. I looked up in the sky and down at our pilot, Fluttershy.

"Fluttershy, head to area 4 and get us a drop ship. That will get us off this planet." She nodded and flew off. I felt glares from all ponies when Fluttershy left.

"You just sent our pilot out there, alone!" Yelled Rainbow Dash. I looked around and saw that Pinkie Pie was now a darker color. Her mane was long and straight and she was more dark pink. I looked up and sighed looking back down. She's right. What was I thinking? I looked down at her again.

"Look, obviously she knows how to drive these kind of ships, fast at that. She actually is smart and brought her gun with her!" I yelled back and received a grunt from Rainbow. I sighed and refrazed it for the young ones. "She'll be fine."

After a while of waiting, a faint sound of the drop ship was heard. We all looked up to see the ship, but as it got closer I could see inside. Fluttershy was alive, but something else scared me. Behind her was an Alien. She looked behind her and screamed. It could be heard from miles away at how loud it was. All I could see was her being pulled behind and blood splattering the windshield.

"Run!" I shouted as the ship began to dive down at us. The ponies didn't hesitate, neither did the kids. They all ran after me in an attempt to escape the falling ship. I could hear the ship hit the ground and I jumped behind cover. I watched as pieces of debre from the ship ran past me and some of it was on fire. I closed my eyes, hoping for a miracle that Fluttershy was alive, she was after all the only one who listened.

I opened my eyes when the sound stopped. I looked around at the carnage and Pinkie Pie and Applejack poking their heads up from inside a building. I watched as Rainbow approached me. When she reached me, she flew up to my height and shoved me against a rock.

"You son of a bitch! You better have a good reason for this!" She said with her hoof ready to strike me. I searched around for something to say and I couldn't find anything. I felt her hoof connect with my temple and I stumbled to the side, my hand on my head. "My friends are dead because of you!" I looked up at her and grabbed her wing and tossed her into a rock as I pressed my arm on her neck, not hard enough to choke her, but to keep her still.

"I'm sorry." I said in a calm voice. "This isn't what I hoped for neither. I hate this just as much as you do, but trying to kill your only hope won't help." I said trying to keep my cool. I let her free and she just looked at me before flying away. We had ten, now we have seven.

We had made our way back to Applejack's farm, which was where we were stationed for the time being. I checked out my gun and made sure I had everything necessary for another trip or another invasion. We needed to find a way off Equestria, and we needed it fast. I looked over by Applejack cleaning her sister off from the explosion. She got pretty dirty, maybe she took cover in a mud pit of some sort. I look over at Rainbow, she was leaning on the couch, staring at me. I felt uncomfortable about the stare and tried to ignore it. She was mad at me for "killing" her friends.

I walked cover to Sweetie Belle and I felt guilty as she watched Applejack and Apple Bloom. I patted her head and she gasped and she looked up at me.

"How you holdin' up?" I asked and I knew the answer.

"I miss her... I know I fought with her at times, but she also was very fun to hang out with." She said with a sigh. I looked at the two sisters as Applejack was suiting up her sister. I realized something, we had everyone here except for... Pinkie Pie. Where could she be? I thought looking around. I stood up and started to search around.

I reached a door that lead outside, I opened and took a step out. Pinkie Pie was hanging on the fence, looking down. I walked up to her and put my hand on her shoulder. I saw her face as she turned around to me. It was a mixed expression of sad and scared. She looked down and sighed. "I'm supposed to bring smiles and laughs to other ponies." She said and looked up at me again. "But for some reason I can't in this situation." She did look like one to make ponies laugh before some of our group had died.

I looked down at my heart beat locator and it showed Twilight was near death and soon, the line went flat, she had died. The only ones still active were Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle.

"Leave me alone, please." She demanded. I decided that wad best and saw her gun was with her, so I left her to that. I walked back to the barn and into the living room. I saw the the kids asleep on the floor, all covered in the same blanket. I looked over and saw Applejack and Rainbow Dash talking to each other about something called "The Wonderbolts". Rainbow cleared her throat when she saw me and Applejack stopped talking. Rainbow hopped down from the couch and trotted upstairs. The sound of a door closing could be heard from up there and I watched as Applejack motioned me to sit on the couch.

I took a seat and looked up at her. "Listen sugarcube, I know y'all are tryin' yer best, but I don't think Rainbow appreciates it." I looked up and replied to her.

"Yeah, I can see that. She doesn't look like she can stand me. That's actually the opposite of what I was trying to do." I said and looked over at the three sleeping children. "Liking each other no, but trusting each other yes." I said and Applejack lied down.

"I can tell ya that ain't at all what ya got here, but it's all ya got." She said after yawning. I decided to leave the farmer alone when she lowered her hat, covering her eyes. I decided to sit against a wall and think for the time being, but I felt tired, and I was forced to sleep.
