A Love Melody

Chapter 1

Soul's Song

"Momma momma!!" Two little filly's ran up looking up at their mother, She slowly smiled and looked down at the two.

"Yes my dears?" She said.

"Could youuu please tell us how you met papa!" The two smiled wide up at her and jumped in place wanting her to tell them them the wonderful story.

"Mhmmm very well, It's a long story so you better sit" She crossed her hooves and sat as her children did the same, getting comfy and looking at them, She spoke softly

"But 1st I want to tell you an old ponytale, My Mother told me this When I was your age" She smiled

The two little ponies looked wide eyed at their mother as she started.

"It's called A Soul's Song, where in everyone of us, there is a song. It could be a song of joy, or pain.. Or love but it is there.......

A Soul's song

Once upon a time there was two sisters and a brave pony knight, The two sisters both thought the knight was courtship worthy and they both wanted him yet he did not know. The two sisters tried to have the knight fall in love with them, because of this. They fought each other daily. The Older sister one day went to a hurt of a known witch and asked for some sort of help in the matter. The witch told her of a harp in the wilds, if any pony heard you play this harp, they will fall deeply in love with the pony playing. The sister demanded to know where this harp was. All the witch did was point at the sister's heart and disappeared in a cloud of smoke. The sister grew angry and stormed out. The meaning of what the witch said made her think and think, It got to her head, Meanwhile the other sister was spending time with the knight, getting to know him. The older sister grew bitter as she looked upon the two. The knight liked the older sister more.. she was more out going and fun to be around, But he never saw her and the younger sister always invited him out to places. The older sister everyday grew more and more bitter, one day she snapped and fell into a deep sadness. She talked to no pony.she . and closed off from the world.. After some time..she got a letter for the wedding of her younger sister and the knight, She was crushed..

The knight visited her one day, Hoping to see if she was okay.. They talked and he told her how much he really loved her and always hoped it was her that would be with him in the end, That's when everything became clear. The witch meant to follow your heart and let it play and in the end,the music will guide you to love. The older sister thanked the knight and got ready for the wedding.. Seeing her sister happy made her happy, But she made sure to tell everypony this story. Truly follow your heart when everything seems against it, No matter what.

Melody smiled "Mhmm, that was such a nice story" Sweet Melody was laying on the grass under a old oak tree, she often went here to read, She enjoyed the peace, beauty and the nice spring weather. Melody smiled and closed the book and just looked up in the sky as she thought about the meaning of The Soul's Song story, But something caught her eye, She saw something fly past,

A light brown Pegasus with a red line in his mane and tail flew by above her, she looked at him with wonder as he flew past then looked back at the book, she thought to herself "I should get this back to the Ponyville library". She used her magic to put the book back into her side bag and stood up. She trotted down the grassy hill down to a path. Sweet melody lived in Canterlot, But went to Ponyville from time to time. She was somewhat of a shy pony, She felt comfortable with her friends but Canterlot was a huge place,

She loved the peaceful nature that Ponyville had, which is why she came down ever so often. Melody would move there but never did for random reasons,As she walked along she hummed a song and closed her eyes as she trotted, Listening to the sounds of the birds and the air rustling the leaves, she opened them again as she was about to hit a tree, She laughed a bit and kept on walking.

After an hour or so she got to Ponyville, She walked though the town to get to the tree-house that housed the library. Melody opened the door and walked in,

"Oh, hello" A purple pony greeted her as she walked from her desk. Melody smiled as she saw a baby dragon up on a stepladder putting away books and the purple pony looking at her with a smile, She used her  magic to bring the book out and placed it on another pile named "Returns". Twilight smiled " Ah, Old pony-folk tales.. A good one, Do you want to look around? It's a mess, I know heh. We are resetting everything to make sure everything is neat and in order"

Melody smiled at her and said.  "Oh No, Just returning this, Thank you though. " She turned to leave " Have a great day" She gave a bit of a wave and walked out, Looking up at the sky as she exited the library, She saw a rainbow colored pegasus sleeping on a cloud, Melody giggled and set off to get back to Canterlot.

"Ahhh now this is more like it" Nova flew in the air with a huge smile. "A day off and the sky to myself. Mhmm And all those girls can see how a REAL pony fly's" He narrowed his eyes and flapped his wings faster as he started to dive down to gain speed, as he neared the ground Nova pulled up and flew high in the sky. "Heh.. Damn I'm good." He flew over to a nearby cloud and laid on it.. "Mhmmm.. easiest job.. ever" See Nova was the Weather Control Chief of Canterlot, He would clear the skys or make it rain, but Canterlot folk never wanted rain, Or a storm. So all Nova had to do was clear the sky's. "Cake" He said as he started to fall asleep.

Another pegasus slowly flew up and couldn't control his laughter as he kicked the cloud from under Nova. "WHOA HEY WH-"He laughed and saw who it was" .... hhahhahhaa Soarin', Bro you got me" Nova laughed and looked at his friend . Soarin' Laughed with him

" Hey you lazy butt, what are you doing besides being lazy! hah" Nova lightly hit him in the shoulder

" hah Same old, same old.. I know you wouldn't bug me if you didn't have plans. So what do you want bro?"

"hahha you know me so well Nova, There is this new club in opening, want to come and chill with me and the Wonderbolts?" Soarin' said.

" Mann. you know I don't want to join that group butt.. heh I am down for hanging out with them And I heard about this new club. Think it will be good?" Nova asked his friend.

"HAH from what I hear, it will bring ALLLLL the girls to the yard. If you know what I mean haha" They both laughed and then Nova asked.

"What time do you want me to be there?"

The Wonderbolt smiled and said.. "8 o clock.....

"8 o clock" Octavia said to Sweet Melody as she sighed.

"Do I have to?" Melody asked her friend.

Octavia nodded. "You know this is not my thing besides Vinyl will be DJ-ing it,so she asked us to come, that means we HAVE to go."

Melody thought then said "Fine. but you owe me"

Octavia Smiled and clapped her hooves"Oh don't worry. Something tells me this could be fun" Octavia said.

"But we would have to get ready.. Can't look like common pony-folk now. We must stand out andd I heard some cute young stallions will be there" Melody blushed and looked at her friend

" You know how I am about that kinds of stuff" Melody smiled at her friend again.

Octavia looked at her  "Dear.. you will need to find Somepony sooner or later. Now come on.. it's time to get ready"
