Melody looked at the outfits Octavia kept showing her. She was bored, Don't get her wrong, She loved her friend Octavia, But she could be so.. fussy and sometimes in Melody's eyes, A bit crazy at times. Her mind started to wonder.

"Agh why did I even ask you?" Octavia said and it made Melody snap out of the the moment. " I am just going like this then huh?" She threw the outfits down and walked off.

" WE ARE NOT GOING TO THE GALA YOU KNOW" Melody yelled to her friend who was now in the other room.

" So?" She walked back out and looked at Melody with sly smile. "Doesn't mean you have to Not look beautiful" She paused and sighed. "But I guess you are right" The gray pony walked next to Melody. "What about you?" Octavia looked at her friend

" Oh, Just like this, no need to get TOO fancy" She smiled and blew a hair from her own face.

"Well.. " Octavia looked up to see the time " 7:34, we should get going" She smiled and started to walk out of the house with Melody to leave for the club.

Meanwhile high above Canterlot

The sound of the alarm woke Nova up..

"Wh- hu-" Nova sat up in bed and looked around. Then he saw the time.. 8:02... "..... Crap." He flapped his wings, got out of bed and flew into the shower while saying "CRAP CRAP CRAP!!" Nova washed up as quickly as he could. He brought his toothbrush with him into the shower so he would get ready faster. He turned off the shower head and ran out.. then stopped and backed up, He looked at himself in the mirror.."Man I am sexy"

He checked himself out for a bit before running out, flying out of his cloud home, The air going though his mane would dry it off. "Heh, Guess I will be a bit late, but eh. Make them wait on me is way better then me waiting on them" Who they were he had no clue, Nova was just trying to make himself feel better about sleeping in.

"COME ON MELODY DANCE WITH ME!!" Octavia yelled at her friend as she danced with some other colts,

Melody blushed and shook her head, She looked around at the other ponies having a good time and smiled, She closed her eyes listening to the music when she heard a voice she hasn't heard in a very long time

"NOVA There you are bro!!!" Soarin' smiled and yelled as A gray pegasus landed outside the club.

Melody looked at Soarin'. She once dated him for a very long time, She watched as he and the other pegasus he called Nova, Hoof bummed. She thought to herself. "Oh god.. Soarin' is here... I hope he don-"

"HEYYYYY MELODY!!" Soarin flew over to her and landed. "Hey babe.. Long time no see" He smiled and looked at her.

"Oh.. Hey Soarin'. It has been awhile huh?" She smiled back and remembered all the good times she had with the Wonderbolt.

"How are ya, your sis okay as well?" He got her a drink and sat next to her,

Melody nodded "Sugar Rush Is fine, she found some one.. I think her name is Silver Breeze."

"DAMNNN.. hah I know Silver Breeze, They would make a cute pair huh.. WELL that's cool.." Soarin' Looked over and saw Nova chatting with some other ponies. "HEY NOVA."  Soarin' waved his hoof to tell him to get over here. "Ah, I never did have you met my bud Nova huh?"

Melody looked at Soarin' and said "No.. wait..Isnt he the Weather Control Chief or something?"

He nodded as Nova walked on over. Right then Melody turned and their eyes met. Nova looked at her with a charming smile as he moved, Melody felt like the club started to move slower.

"hey. Whats going on man?" Nova said as he still looked at Melody "Andd, who is this lovely pony?"

"HAHHA This is Sweet Melody, Me and her go WAYYY back!" Soarin' said as he saw the two look at eachother.

"Hi.. " She said with a slight blush. Then looked down. "Nova"

"Care to join us in the VIP booth Melody Babe?" Soarin' said as he pointed where the other Wonderbolts were.

"Uh.. as long as I can Bring Octavia" She looked up again and smiled at Soarin'

"Sure.. where she at?" He looked around and saw her, "HA let me go get her Be back you two" He flew away.

"So.. Melody" Nova ran a hoof though his mane.  "How do you know Soarin'?"

".. uh. we used to be an item. " She said as she looked down once more.

"Oh... Can I ask how it ended?" Nova said with a unsure sounding voice.

"Oh it's okay." She looked up again". He wanted to become a Wonderbolt.. And he would be gone all the time, And I wanted to settle down, He wanted to fly, and I wanted to stay put.. So.. we kinda just.. broke up due to one of our dreams would have  not happened.. " She sighed and looked at Nova. "But that was a long time ago"

"Do you still uh.. How to I put this.. Have feelings for him?" Nova asked.

"Uh well no" She lied as Soarin' trotted back with Octavia .

"OH my gosh.. Can you believe it Melody?  We get to hang out with The Wonderblots tonight ha.." Octavia cheered.

Sweet laughed "You my friend are a bit tipsy huh?

"Nooooooooooo.. okay maybe" Octavia laughed with her friend as Nova looked at Melody.

"Shall we Sweet Melody?" He smiled at her as Nova started to lead her them to the VIP Booth.

Melody smiled and looked at Nova, He was pretty handsome and that moment, back there when their eyes met. What was that?

She turned to look at her friend Octavia, but instead she looked at Soarin' And thought

"I think... I miss him"
