The Attacker

Pain. Unimaginable pain.
“Twilight? Are you okay?” Pinkie Pie weeps into my almost deaf ear.
Fluttershy gives a little tug on my mane. “Twilight?”
“G-Girls.” I managed to say. “You need to get me to a hospital, please.” I let out a painful groan causing Applejack to freak out.
“It’s okay Twi, we’ll find a hospital. A’ promise.” Applejack cries in desperation as she checks the maps.
Rarity lifts up the map with her magic levitating it in front of her head.
“The closest hospital is in,” Rarity points toward the train station.
“Canterlot.”

“Will she make it? Once I find that pony who messed her up I’ll destroy them!” She snaps.
“All aboard!” The stallion at the train yells.
Fluttershy and Rarity mount me onto their backs.
“It’s okay Twi,” Applejack yells towards the stallion.
“Hey! We got a princess n’ danger ere’!”
The stallion notices me and gets a shocked face.
“You six get on, Princess Twilight Sparkle can go into the medical room in the train.”

Pinkie Pie salutes, grabs me and gently puts me onto the bed in the medical room.
She whispers into my ear, her voice is choking.
“It’s okay Twilight. We’ll save you.”
I could tell she was lying. I was a goner. Shreds in my wings, broken legs, knife in the chest. All by the mysterious attacker.

She was another Alicorn.
But, she had no rights to become one.
Her magic was weak, and her physical strength was painfully horrendous.
But this pony was driven by pure hate.
She didn’t look like Cadence or Luna, Celestia or Chrysalis.
She was different.
I heard her crying something about ‘revenge’ and ‘ magic ’, but that’s all I heard, before I blacked out.
The only thing I could see behind her cloak were her icy purple eyes, and her pale blue fur.

Now I was sitting in a train, every bump and turn making me weaker, whilst my best friends rushed me to a hospital.

Hoofsteps.
I could hear hoofsteps coming from the other side of the train.
The person on the other side slowly opened the door, scaring away a few of the small bugs and critters that had followed Fluttershy.
Her.

I cringed, slowly firing a small beam out of my horn. It was pathetic for my power.
She didn’t even have to dodge. She just adsorbed it.
Wait, adsorbed?
My eye opened quickly with a jolt of surprise.
There was only one other magic user who could do that in Equestria.......
‘No.....’ I thought in shock. It all added up now, the blue fur and purple eyes, revenge and magic.
“T-Trixie?”

The pony under the cloak sent out a cackling laugh, which made my spine shiver.
“Did you miss me?” She sneered in a jeering voice.
“B-But.....you forgave me....” I managed to whisper back, my throat still sore from my muffled screaming.

“Whoever said Trixie would forgive such a petty unicorn as you?” She laughed.
“After I heard you went into Alicorn-hood, I couldn’t help but want to be on your level to.” She slowly took off her cloak to reveal a massive pair of dagger-like wings on her back.

“But....That’s not even possible....You can’t just become an Alicorn.” I murmured, ignoring all pain in my body.
“Whoever said I didn’t have a little bit of help?”
My eyes widened in shock again.

There, Trixie, somepony who usually just had a greed for magic, had 3 foals, all unicorns, and 4 fillies, all pegasi in her magic grip.
Then I realised something. Their cutie marks had disappeared, and their eyes were a sickly shade of white.

Trixie had got help from Tirek.
“You....didn’t.....” I growled under my breath, trying not to alert Trixie.
Trixie let out a creepy laugh, making the younger ponies shiver in fear.
“M-My....friends will find out you were the attacker.....Celestia....Luna....EVEN CADENCE!” My voice got louder and louder with rage the more Trixie made it hurt for the fillies and foals.
“They....w-will show no mercy on someone who attacked a royal!” I snapped, only managing to make Trixie smirk at my rage.

I swear to Celestia, if I still had that powerful magic inside me I would have blasted her away seconds ago.

Trixie’s magic slowly trickled away, leaving the young ones to fall onto the ground with an echoing thud.
“I will be seeing you, Sparkle.” Trixie said the last work with a slither sound on her voice, showing her hate for her rival.
“Wait!” I called out.
Trixie slowly turned around showing a face with a mix of anger and confusement.
“What is it, Twilight?” She groaned. “I have more important stuff to do than deal with YOU.” She pointed a hoof right at my muzzle.
“...How did you get Tirek to help you?” I managed to say, choking on my own blood.

Trixie sneered and told me.
“Simple. We teamed up.”
“But last time Discord teamed up with Tirek, Tirek betrayed him, and stole his magic!” I yelled.
‘I bet this is going to end like that Ursa Major thing.”
My thinking paused for a second.
‘But this time, Trixie has proof.’ I thought with a mix of anger and sorrow in my thoughts.

“Who ever said HE was the one to betray someone this time?” My eyes lit up as Trixie said this.
“How could you even overpower him? He destroyed half of the Everfree Forest with a simple magic blast!”

Trixie snorted and blew a lock of hair out of her eye.
“When Tirek betrayed Discord, I was really watching the whole time.” She boasted. “I knew after that, I would have to make quick decisions, unlike you.”
I snorted a little at that anti-compliment from Trixie.
She had got more powerful, but that didn’t stop her inner show-off peering out.

Suddenly, Trixie summoned a watch on her hoof.
“Oh, look at the time!” She pulled a sarcastic shock face. “Better go!” Trixie spread out her wings, fired a hole through the top of the train, and flew out, still holding the poor little fillies and colts.
It was at this moment I realised my arm was bleeding at rapid rates.
“Twilight? Are you okay?” I heard somepony shout.
“T-Trixie....” I moaned as I fainted.
