Watch Ponies
(Prologue) Modern Magicians
Load Full StoryNext ChapterA mare with a darkish skin was at Marelaut hotel, discussing somethng with a stallion behind a counter. As they finished their conversation, the dark skinned mare turned around, turned on her smartphone, and bumped into a stallion with brownish skin with his smartphone in his hoof.
"I'm at the lobby of the Marelaut now," the brown pony said into the microphone.
"All righty then, Aiden. Let's do this quietly and calmly," the responder said back to Aiden. Aiden usually wore a cap with a jacket that was long on the backside. His smartpone had a dark screen with with white text on it, saying "Starting Reverse SSH Tunnel."
"All right, hacking in now," Aiden said as he tapped the screen. The phone beeped, switching to a pentagon saying "Login." It switched to a upside down triangle. The screen then turned into a black layout of the Marelaut hotel with white outlines, showing data of everypony in the hotel lobby. It turned to a pony at an ATM, showing that he lost 5,000 bits on a poker night. The screen swiftly moved to the other side of the hotel lobby, turning to ponies with rather interesting descriptions. The camera went to a room with a shelf cart with a label to show that Aiden needs to hack it.
"Look at that, secrets and lies in a cloud of data. I just out, pluck it out from the sky, then it's mine," The stallion on the other side of the phone line said. He looked through the Marelauts' citizen with shit loads of data.
"Stay focused, it's ours," Aiden told the stallion. "What a nasty security system they have. How much do we got?" He asked. The other stallion got distracted.
"Look at that, a hundred grand in every 30 seconds," the stallion said in a fascinated voice. "Twilight bless the rich and famous," he said with a graceful raspy voice. "We are the modern day magicians, siphoning bank accounts out of thin magic,"
"Do you hear youself?" Aiden asked. His phone's screen started to fuzz and show a distorted black and white picture of a mare.
"Somepony else is trying hack as well," the stallion said. "Let's take a look,"
"Let's not. Stick to the plan, Damien," Aiden said. "Siphone the accounts than get out,"
"Adventure, man. Have faith in your teacher," Damien said. "Something triggered alarm. We should find it."
"Shit, the system's being scanned," Aiden informed.
"Relax, I'm almost there," Damien told him.
"I'm disconnecting now," Aiden said through the call. "I'm shutting it down, Damien." Damien snarled in anger.
"Don't you dare touch a thing!" Damien hissed at him. Both of them heard the electronics being scanned.
"We're aborting!" Aiden shouted through the phone. A police pony put his hoof to his ear to inform other. Aiden started to panic a bit more.
"We are NOT done!" Damien yelled. "Help me!" Aiden walked to the exit as the scanner got closer to him.
"It's over - I'm disconnecting," Aiden started to pick up his pace to the door. The fuzzy noise got louder as the scanning process got even closer to Aiden. He broke into a run to the door, pushing ponies out of the way.
"Aiden!" Damian shouted. He got out the doors without being scanned. His phone shuddered a bit as the screen faded.
A pony moved his mouse to Download_files and clicked on it. He started to phone a stallion Maurice, waiting for a response. There was a click, indicated that the phone was picked up.
"Maurice," the pony said.
"What?"
"You're on. One of our contractors a screach for the hackers in the Marelaut job," the pony told Maurice as he clicked for info on Damien Equine and Aiden John. "You're assigned Aiden John, wipe him out. Hit the family if you need to. This pony's hacking days are over."
"Hit the family?" Maurice questioned.
"Would that be a problem?" The stallion asked.
"No, not at all," Maurice replied. "I'll scare 'em good. You'll never hear from him again." He assured him.
Author's Note
I'm trying to create these chapters as I watch watch dogs, oh the irony. So please, if you say this is nothing like that game, I'm sorry because I might've royally messed up. I change the dialogue but the actions should be the same.
