"What's this?  I didn't know I had a camera down here!  Well then, might as well..."

Grabbing the camcorder, I notice that it requires basic AA batteries.  I go over to my storage room, and grab said batteries, put them in, activate the camcorder, and begin recording...

*Recording*

"Hello there,-" *Cough Cough* "Oops, sorry about that.  I am John, and Earth is currently ending...  I'm not sure why I'm recording this, but I'm doing it anyways!  Based on my calculations, I am the last living human, and soon, the last human to die.  Hopefully some sentient race will either evolve from another race here on Earth, or extraterrestrial beings will stumble upon this barren wasteland, and find our knowledge and information, learn our language, and eventually stumble upon this video.  I don't have mu-" *Cough Hack* "Ugh, I don't have much time left.  I managed to seclude myself from the world when this all started, but the air filter in my air unit burned out after six years, and the disease got in.  The last report I got through the radio talked about the dead getting back up.  Sounded like a bunch of bologna to me, but I already had a gun with me in case someone tried to loot me.  I'm not sure if I can even-" *Cough Hack Spit* "Ugh, these coughing fits are becoming more and more painful.  I'm not sure if I can even use the gun anymore, but it's nice to have.  If you are a survivor of this plague, and you happen to find this, that means that I am dead, and you are lucky.  The supplies remaining in this bunker will be enough to supply a group of six people with three averagely portioned meals a day for approximately 6 months.  There is a list of stock that I update every time I use something, a generator designed to power itself, and my room.  If you find my corpse, please move my body to my bed.  I want my final resting place to be in the comfort of my old mattress."  *Coughs multiple times*  "Gah, I need to use some meds, I'll pause the recording, use some cough medicine, update stock, and then begin again."

*Recording paused*

I leave the room, and begin to walk into the storage room.  As I'm walking I realize that I had told them about the generator, but hadn't explained to them how to use it.

"I'll just leave them a diagram, now to get those meds."

I take the meds, deduct the dosage from the stock list, then return to the camcorder.

*Recording resumes*

"Okay, I shouldn't have an issue with coughing for a while.  There is the pistol I have for self defense, but I also have a small armory.  There is a map of the entire bunker next to the front entrance to the bunker.  I will leave detailed instructions about what you should do in order to utilize the entire bunker to it's fullest before you leave it.  They will be on the desk in my bedroom.  The weapons I currently have on my consist of a revolver, a tactical shotgun, and a high-powered hunting rifle.  I am constantly wearing a hiking pack, with at least 600 rounds of ammunition for each weapon.  You must be wondering why I would do something like that.  Let's just say that it makes me feel secure.  I will be carrying this camcorder around, but first I'll put this recording on tape and put it at the entrance.  I'll start carrying batteries with me as well.  I'll tell you something though... I've lived down here for about six and a half years, and I've had no human contact.  I had so much free time, I designed an artificial intelligence system, and then used a bunch of metal and made a robot!  Here, I'll even get him on camera."  I turn and call for the robot.

"Here Fido, here boy!"  At this, the sound of movement can be heard nearby.

"Here he comes,  it took me eight months to build him.  I even made it to where he speaks, but I had to design a voice for him.  Hey Fido, I'm in the dining room, come here already!"  Fido enters the room, active as usual.

"He runs off of a combination of air, light, and electricity.  He's a live wire, that's for sure!"

"You called me, John?"  Fido questions.

"Indeed I did my friend, give me a reading of the conditions in the bunker currently." I instructed, doing the best Russian accent I could muster.

"Okay, just give me a minute to download the data from the terminal."  He turns and leaves the room, presumably to do as he just stated.

"Ah yes, the terminal, perhaps I should tell you about that.  Any and all data about the bunker is stored there, including the stock.  Fido checks the stock hourly, and updates it.  The system is top of the line, designed by the government.  It can tell you anything you need to know, provided that the information that you are searching for is on record.  Perhaps I should record another tape giving a demonstration on how to-"

[John, come to the terminal immediately.]

"The hell?  He's supposed to come to ne with the report!  Damnit, something must be wrong.  I'll keep it rolling."

Getting up, I walk to towards the terminal, only for Fido to meet me half way there.

"Fido, what's going on?"  I simply ask, whilst approaching him

"The sensors have detected an anomaly in your bedroom!"

"Wait, what?!  What kind of anomaly?"  I ask, both panicking and being a little bit pissed.

"The system could not determine it.  Though I suspect that an unlikely survivor decided to go underground, and is now cutting into the bunker, have your shotgun ready."

We approached my room, and I hear Fido disengage his safety, and see him turn on both his laser sight and flashlight.  I disengage the safety on my shotgun, but not before loading a fresh magazine into it.  As we enter the room, I'm instantly blinded.  A flashbang?  No, my hearing is unimpaired.  I squeeze my eyes shut tightly, covering them with one arm.  The next moment, I feel my body hit grass.  Wait...

"What the hell?!"  I open my eyes and look up.  The first thing I see is the ruins of an old castle through a closed gate.  I notice a sun and a moon imprinted on the ruins... I promptly passed out.
