An Introductory Explanation

Of The Record Entitled:

One Last Mission

Per Request of Princess Luna Starlight, and to more fully chronicle this period of the Harmonic Era of Equestria, I, Show Stopper, Top Spy of Equestria, do now pen this: ONE LAST MISSION.

         It is a compilation of journal entries written by my hoof and the hooves of select others, namely: Twilight Sparkle – Bearer of the Element of Magic, Rarity – Bearer of the Element of Generosity, Fluttershy – Bearer of the Element of Kindness, Rainbow Dash – Bearer of the Element of Loyalty, Applejack – Bearer of the Element of Honesty, and a brief excerpt from Captain Scootaloo of the Crusaders. The lack of any writing by Pinkie Pie – Bearer of the Element of Laughter is explained by the impossibility for anypony but her to decipher or make sense of her journal.

         Contained within these entries are the personal experiences of those who’s mission it was to track down and reclaim the scattered Elements of Harmony and use them to end the Discordian Civil War. The account begins at the 10th anniversary of the disappearances of Princess Celestia Sol, Luna Starlight, and Mi Amore Cadenza. It concludes with a third-pony account of the Battle of Paradise Castle, and the confrontations therein.

         My hopes for this work are two-fold: that it will serve history as an accurate record of this time, and that it will be entertaining to those who shall read it.

         After all, why shouldn't a good story be well told?
