Rainbow Blur

In the crack of dawn, a young woman was sleeping in her queen sized bed, in her one room apartment. When suddenly a loud noise filled the entire apartment, waking up,the young Rainbow haired woman.

"Five more minutes mom," groaned the young lady as she smashed her alarm clock into tiny pieces trying to simply turn it off. "Dammit! That's the fifth alarm I've broken this week," said she said to herself as she got out of bed and stretched her sore limbs

The young woman was none other than Rainbow Dash. A desk typing worker at Octavia newspaper.

"Well. Time to hit the shower," said Rainbow Dash as she walked towards the bathroom.

She started the shower and waited a couple of seconds before getting in. The hot, steaming water soothed her toned muscled body, relieving the aches and pains she had from last nights activities.

As Rainbow Dash lathered her body with soaps, she felt the urge to relieve herself in another way. Sadly, that would have to wait she didn't want to risk running late to work and have her boss Octavia give her one of her famous lectures about punctuality. That's the last thing Rainbow needed in what was looking to be a shitty morning.

"Ah! Nothing like a hot shower to soothe those aching muscles," sighed Rainbow Dash as she entered her bedroom to get dressed.

She quickly got dressed in her work clothes and went to the kitchen to get herself some cereal. "Can't be going to work on an empty stomach," said Dash as she began to eat her breakfast.

She finished eating and grabbed her coat and keys as she exit the apartment. Entering her car she started the ignition and head off to work. Which not surprisingly was met with much backed up traffic.

"What do you expect when you live in New York" thought Rainbow Dash as she waited at a stoplight.

She finally made it to the Octavia news building and took the parking spot that was closest to front doors of the building. She got out of her car and walked in to the new building, walking past the front desk and boarding the elevator. She made it to her floor and was immediately yelled at by a familiar voice.

"Rainbow Dash! Get in here NOW!" Yelled Rainbow's boss Octavia.

With a sigh of exasperation she walked towards the office, while muttering under her breath "into the lions den I go,"

As she walked into the office Octavia pointed to the chair on the opposite side of the desk, telling Rainbow Dash to sit down. Of course Rainbow did what she asked without hesitation.

"What do you need boss?" Asked Rainbow Dash. Desperately wanting to get this over with.

"We got a new employee coming to work here today and I want you to show him around and let him get a know how things work around here?" Demanded Octavia with here trademark tone that meant no complaining.

Rainbow Dash, being the type of person she was always complained regardless. "Why! Why do I have to show the newbie around?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Can't you get Twilight Sparkle to do it? She's better with new employees," stated Rainbow Dash, that egg head loved learning about new people. Rainbow Dash new that from her first time meeting the woman. She memory brought a shiver up Rainbows' spine.

"Twilight Sparkle's busy writing up an article about the Rainbow Blur. So stop complaining, do what I ask, and for gods sake don't forget to put on a smiles?" Yelled Octavia, frustrated by Rainbow Dash's constant complaining about every little task that's assigned to her.

"Fine ill do it!" Said Rainbow Dash as she caved. "What's the guys name anyway?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

Octavia slammed a folder onto the desk. "Here's his file. Go over it and wait for his arrival once your done." Said Octavia as Rainbow Dash grabbed the file to see what was inside.

As Rainbow Dash looked through the file what she saw and read surprised her.

"This guy looks like he could be the poster boy for geek monthly!" Laughed Rainbow Dash. "Enjoys reading, loves the outdoors, loves Shakespeare, helps those in need, and hates cheaters. This guys a total boys scout," thought Rainbow Dash as she read the bio.

She finished reading the file on the new guy and decided to just wait at her cubicle until he showed up. Rainbow Dash sighed, "just another one of those days," she said.

*Fifteen minutes later*

Rainbow Dash had fallen asleep in her chair waiting for the young man to arrive. She was having a nightmare, one that has occurred many times over the last five years.

*Rainbow Dash's nightmare*

Rainbow Dash and her mother were walking home one night. They had just finished watching Superman Four The Quest for Peace, and Rainbow was disappointed by it to say the least.

As the two walked across the sidewalk the ten year old Rainbow Dash was complaining to her mother about how bad the film had been. Her mother told her that she didn't care whether or not the movie was good, but that she got to spend quality time with Dash.

Rainbow Dash was too preoccupied with her rant that she hadn't noticed her mother stop walking. Rainbow looked at her mother and noticed a look of fear and panic on her mothers face. When she looked behind her mother she saw why. A man had snuck up behind them and pointed a gun to the back of her mother head.

BANG!!

*Reality*

The loud noise startled Rainbow Dash, causing her to fall off her chair.

"What the fuck was that?" Rainbow thought out loud.

"Dammit Dash! I told you to be ready for when the new guy arrives and here you are sleeping," yelled Octavia.

Rainbow Dash got back onto her feet and apologized to Octavia. She then looked left of Octavia and noticed someone next to her. Rainbow Dash remembered him from the files that her boss had given her.

"You must be James Luxor? Names Rainbow Dash, pleasure to meet you," said Rainbow Dash with a polite tone that shocked both Octavia and Rainbow Dash herself.

Before James had time to reply sirens had gone off in the distance and screams of citizens could be heard. Rainbow Dashknew who was causing such mayhem, she just wished the bitch would have waited till after work or when Rainbow at least had free time.

"Sorry, but I have to go to the restroom." rainbow dash lied.

She quickly ran into the restroom and immediately started stripping. In a few quick blurry motions Rainbow Dash had gone from wearing her typical work clothes, to dawning the tight full body suit of the Rainbow Blur!

"Time to get to work!" Said Rainbow Dash with a huge grin on her face.

She flew out the window and followed the sounds of screams and explosions, ready to,take on her arch nemesis Nightmare Moon!
