Dead Rising: Off the World
Psychopath Battle: Chuck Greene
Previous ChapterNext ChapterChapter 2Psychopath Battle: *Chuck Greene*----------
Frank fired at the man running towards him. Strangely enough, the other man seemed to dodge the bullets expertly as he ran. Chuck took out what appeared to be a broom with a machete combined and swung it at Frank. The photographer barely managed to roll out of danger. He shouted at the insane man before him,
“I saw you die with my own eyes!” yelled Frank.
The former TIR contestant stared deeply into the photographer’s eyes and shouted back,
“Well, Katey is DEAD because of you! I can’t let the man who killed my own daughter get away with the act that easily!”
Although he did not exactly know how the man came back from the dead, Frank fired at the psychopath once more. One of the bullets grazed him, but Chuck didn’t seem to feel the pain at the moment. The man swung his pole weapon at Frank, damaging him as well.
The photographer felt pain in his left arm, but he thanked his luck for the fact that it was still intact. Frank kicked his enemy away and fired several more rounds of pure lead; none of them hit the target, but the other man was still dizzy from the kick. Taking this as a chance, Frank jumped and elbow smashed Chuck in the chest. This was apparently a bad move, however.
Chuck grabbed Frank and threw him on a tree trunk. Picking up his pole weapon, he dashed at the dazed photographer. The tip of the spear was directly pointed at Frank, gleaming because of the sun.
However, the psychopath’s drunken state led to him missing the target he intended to hit. Instead of hitting Frank, he hit the tree trunk. Chuck desperately tried to pull it out, but felt himself being punched by his enemy. Frank pulled out the pole weapon and carried it with one hand, while using the other hand to carry the pistol. He grinned as he knew the tides of the battle turned.
Chuck seemed to realize this too, as he had momentarily stopped attacking. However, he had other tricks up his sleeves. The insane man dashed towards Frank.
Frank clearly didn’t expect this, as he hesitated to attack as well. He decided to use the pole weapon and ran towards the ex-motocross champion. It was a bad weapon of choice.
Although he was drunk, Chuck did have a majority of his intelligence in his instable brain. He suddenly began sliding towards Frank on his back and grabbed the pole weapon out of the grip of his enemy. When he stood up, he turned around and successfully deflected the last bullet in Frank’s ammo clip.
Desperate, Frank searched for ammo in his pockets using his free hand. Unfortunately, by the time he felt one clip, he noticed that Chuck was in a point-blank range of stabbing him. He barely managed to dodge the fast attack.
‘This is going to last forever if I keep this up. I need to using something that could quickly end the battle, but where is that ‘something’? ‘
Frank noticed a strange tree that looked like it was about to fall off. If he successfully lured Chuck into a trap…
‘Bingo…’
The man suddenly ran towards the tree. As expected, the psychopath gave chase to the photographer. With a crazy man hot on his heels, Frank only had milliseconds if he were to pull off what he was thinking.
When he arrived at the tree, Chuck lunged at Frank once more. Taking this chance, Frank dodged the blade coming towards him. The pole weapon hacked the tree trunk completely, stopping Chuck from moving again. The TIR Contestant looked up only to find a tree falling towards him.
“Shit…”
Frank managed to roll away from safety as the huge thing collapsed on top of Chuck. He looked back only to find dust, a tree that just fell, and a bloody pole weapon lying on the ground. The man walked towards the only property that was apparently left from Chuck Greene, the ex-motocross champion.
“That guy probably thought himself too much as an avenger.” said Frank to himself.
He won the battle once more. Chuck was killed for the second time, and the ties had finally ended. It should’ve been ended back in Nevada, anyways.
However, something in his mind came up.
Frank pulled the tree and observed where Chuck’s corpse was, only to find out that there was no corpse.
“Oh, crap. There goes the ‘nutbar’ disappearing again…”
He finally came up to a conclusion that Chuck had somehow escaped once more. But that was the last thing he was concerned about right now. Why?
Frank was getting hungry again.
