Chapter 7 - Meet the Element of Loyalty----------

"Dash! Come on, he just wants to be friendly with you!"

"But that jerk insulted me with mean names!"

Frank West sat, full of boredom, as Twilight argued with Rainbow Dash, who was lying down on a cloud. Sure, many have argued with him for long periods of time back in Willamette and Fortune City, but he had never seen two horses argue for a straight thirty minutes.

After several more moments of awkward silence, Frank called out,

"Hey! Your girlfriend is calling you, for Christ's sa-"

The man met with an unfortunate fate of a 'boot-to-the-head'. He stumbled, trying to gain balance as he felt the world become hazy.

"SHE'S NOT MY COLTFRIEND!!!"

Several ponies passing by quickly ran away as the noise boomed out loudly. Dash put a hoof on her mouth, embarrassed by the sudden outburst. The photographer chuckled as he regained his vision.

"Man, you shouldn't deny facts when you know they're true. Ya?"

Before the rainbow-maned Pegasus could whoop him again, Twilight interrupted the two,

"Hey! We weren't here for an argument to ensue purposefully! You two apologize right now!"

Dash stared at the purple unicorn as if she were insane. She shot a death glare at Frank, who was now quirking one eyebrow. Much to the man's surprise, the pony bowed her head slightly and muttered,

"Sorry... about that."

"Ditto." replied Frank simply.

Twilight huffed out a sigh of annoyance and anger. She then told Rainbow Dash to introduce herself to Frank. The Pegasus smiled and said,

"My name's Rainbow Dash! The fastest flier in Equestria you would ever meet!"

"The pleasure is mine. Do you like... have a job here or somethin'?"

The Pegasus answered his question,

"Yep. I control the weather, but I'm still looking out for any tryouts to enter the Wonderbolts!"

Frank blinked in confusion but decided to slip out smoothly. He didn't want to look like an idiot asking for other famous people, and he stopped liking famous people after meeting TK.

"Yeah..."

"So..." said Dash, "What do you do for a living?"

He looked up to find two curious ponies staring intently at him. Frank smirked as he said,

"I'm a freelance photographer, finding the biggest scoops from big news. There's no doubt that mysteries couldn't stay as mysteries thanks to people like me."

The unicorn nodded in appreciation, but the rainbow-maned Pegasus suddenly blurted out excitedly,

"REALLY?! So you mean that you could find some unidentified object and reveal it to the people and then find another bigger secret that leads into... into... into..."

Twilight facehoofed, while Frank just shook his head in disgust. The Pegasus felt her head becoming beet red.

A few minutes later, the group of three sat down in a cafe to eat some sandwiches. It took some time to take out daisies out of Frank's, but overall, it was a good meal.

Suddenly, Frank felt a question pop up in his mind.

"Dash, do you know about this... Pinkie Tie or whatever her name was?"

The Pegasus raised an eyebrow as she replied,

"Well, duh. Everypony knows her as the party-pony in Ponyville! She's made a buncha sweets that are delicious, y'know?"

Before Frank could mutter insults, Twilight further explained the pink pony's history.

"She wasn't much of a happy pony when she was a filly, though. Pinkie used to work in a rock farm, where there was no fun and happiness at all. I couldn't imagine a happy earth-pony that lived with such a sad past..."

While the two ponies discussed more about their friend, Frank felt himself drifting away to his own thoughts.

'Hmm... they say it's a tragic past, yet they don't even ask ME about my past. Selfish brats...'

The man stood up, making the two ponies stop their conversation. Twilight asked him,

"Where are you going, Mr. West?"

"To the forest. Just to meet someone, alright?"

As he walked away, the two ponies looked at each other. Rainbow Dash had a mischievous expression, which made Twilight roll her eyes once more. Apparently, Frank West wasn't going alone.
