“Twilight, are you nuts? What the heck would Sunset Shimmer know about this? Unless it took effect on the mirror world, too, I’m almost certain that Sunset is completely clueless about this.” I said.

It was true. Twilight was out of her mind. What the heck would Sunset Shimmer know about this storm? Sunset was in the mirror world, and I was questioning why she even had the idea of Sunset Shimmer of the possible cause.

“I hate to say it, Twi,” Spike began, “but I think Lala has a point.” He stood up from the ice cream tub mountain he was creating. “What would Sunset know?”

“I really don’t know.” Twilight said. “But, I’ve read thousands of detective novels, and it always says that a good detective goes with their gut.”

“Are you sure that gut feeling isn’t hunger?” Spike said sarcastically.

“Funny.” Twilight said.

I couldn’t help but laugh with Spike, because it was pretty true. Because Twilight had been so focused on her work, she had been commonly missing meals. I’m not saying that she hadn’t eaten in three weeks, I’m just saying that she wasn’t eating as much. Anyway, I still had a question that I needed to ask.

“Twi, I have one more question.” I said. “HOW IN EQUESTRIA ARE WE GOING TO GET TO THE PORTAL, AND THEN, HOW ARE WE EVEN SUPPOSED TO GET THROUGH?”

There, I said it.

“I know a variety of teleportation spells. It shouldn’t be a problem, Lala.” Twilight said.

I rolled my eyes. “If you say so,” I said. “We’re headed to the Crystal Empire, I guess?”

Twilight’s horn started to beam up. Spike bolted out of the room faster than Rainbow can clear the clouds. “Yes! Hang on!” Twilight yelled.

The room began to be engulfed in Twilight’s magenta magic aura. I felt a weird, tingly feeling. The next thing I knew, I wasn’t in Twilight’s castle, but I was at the entrance of the Crystal Empire.

“Come on, we have no time to lose!” Twilight exclaimed, trudging through the snow, headed towards the castle.

I followed, but also thought for a minute. This is going nowhere. I want to help her, but I don’t see where this will get us. I had also thought back to the day this had all began.

It was supposed to be a sunny summer day, at least what Rainbow Dash planned for the weather. I expected to look out the window of the cottage seeing birds chirping and the summer sun, expecting Melody’s return from Los Pegasus, but, instead, I wake up to about a foot of snow piled up on my door. I see a brief flame come through the kitchen window, and see a scroll come from the flame. It was none other than a note from Melody, saying that because of the storm, she was stuck in Los Pegasus due to all of the trains being unable to go anywhere. My first instinct of this was to go to Rainbow Dash, to see if this was just a surprise storm the weather team had sprung on us. I went to Rainbow’s station on the weather route, and by the looks of things, she was in a panic.

“Keep it on the outside, Thunderlane! No, Cloud Chaser, your other left! Derpy, what are you doing eating a muffin at a time like this? Get to work!” Rainbow Dash yelled to the weather team. By the looks of things, she was just as clueless as I was.

“Dash, what’s going on?” I asked.

“What’s going on is that Cloudsdale is falling to the ground, and if we don’t do something soon, it’ll crash on Ponyville!” Rainbow said. She flew up with a whole bunch of other pegasi to a cloud filled with ice. I assumed that if this storm hit Cloudsdale, Los Pegasus, and Ponyville, that meant only one thing- this storm had hit all of Equestria.

I had realized that we were at the Crystal Castle, so I followed Twilight inside. From there, we went straight to the room with the mirror portal, and, with mine and Twilight’s combined magic, we opened the portal. We both ran through, getting a weird tingly feeling as we passed through. The next thing I knew, we were in the mirror world, a world that Twilight had visited again recently, but I couldn’t remember the details. Something about a musical counter-spell.

Anyway, I quickly got on two legs, a skill Twilight told me about this world, and tried walking. I got the hang of it quite easily, almost as if I had done this my whole life. Twilight had a good idea of where Sunset Shimmer was, so we went there. We found her in the hallway, by her locker.

“Sunset!” Twilight yelled. “We need to talk!”

“Twilight? Why are you here? And, who is she?” Sunset said. I figured she was asking about me.

“I’m Lala Song, a friend of hers from Ponyville.” I said. “We need your help, Sunset. Equestria is well, frozen…”

“What?” Sunset said.

“I have reason to think that with your magical knowledge, you could cause something like this. Right?” Twilight began getting in Sunset Shimmer’s face.

“Twilight, you know that I can’t do magic here,” Sunset said. And I knew that was true.

“Oh, right. Do you know about any other alicorns besides me, Celestia, Luna, and Cadence?” Twilight asked.

“There are two that I can think of off the top of my head…” Sunset said with a moment of realization. “Their names are Elsa and Anna.”

“How come nopony- I mean nobody- knows who they are?” I asked.

“They are mostly secretive. Especially the kingdom the come from, Arendelle.” Sunset continued.

“What?” I commented.

“Arendelle is a small kingdom off the west coast of Equestria. One day, 13 years ago, the king and queen just closed the castle gates for no apparent reason. Then, three years ago, the king and queen died in a shipwreck. The older princess, Elsa, should be coming of age, but I don’t think the coronation went well, because she hasn’t been seen since.” Sunset said, completing the story.

“Thanks for the information, Sunset. It really helps.” Twilight said. We left, and Twilight teleported us to Ponyville. Then, as soon as we got there, a pony fell out of the sky.

Rainbow Dash quickly flew up and grabbed a cloud for her to land on, and she did. Her pale orange coat made a thud onto the cloud. Her strawberry-blonde hair was in a bun, and had a white streak. She was wearing a light green gown, and she seemed to have been flying for a long time.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” she said. “Is there by chance another alicorn here?”

“There’s Twilight,” I said, pointing at the purple pony behind me.

“Not her. One who can create the power of snow in her own horn and hooves,” the mare said.

“You’re saying that there is somepony that can do that?” I asked.

“Yes. I need to find her,” she said.

“Why?” I asked.

She seemed reluctant to answer. “Because, she’s my sister.”

We all paused, seeming gazed at the shock.

I finally spoke. “What’s your name?”

She got up from the cloud finally, and replied what I should have expected.

“Anna.” And that was the last thing she said, before she fell unconscious.

Sorry for the delay. I meant to post this sooner, but of course, my computer cord quit on me. So, there's been an unexpected delay. But, there's a lot of Frozen fun coming next chapter, with ANNA!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
