In the castle of the Royal Pony Sisters, Pinkie Pie finds an old mirror, and much to her surprise, something lies beyond. What she finds will change her life.
One day while exploring the castle of the Royal Pony Sisters, Pinkie Pie finds a room with a mirror. In the mirror, she sees another world. The curious pink pony finds that she can step through the mirror, just like Twilight Sparkle once stepped through a mirror. On the other side, she finds something that will change her life and change Equestria.
On the other side of the mirror lies Stennulf Greybourne, who has recently left civilisation behind to become a hermit, sick of his own fellow human beings. One day while getting water, he finds something odd, something he doesn't quite believe that he is seeing. After their initial meeting, Stennulf peers into the pool of water that the pink pony says she just came out of.
And then, the pink pony shoves him.
