Big Mac's sister, Applejack, tells him that he needs to get a life. At first he disagrees, but then he gets bored. VERY, VERY, bored. He thinks maybe he should go out and look for a new hobby. Through a twist of fate, he ends up with a cult that is dedicated to serving the hydras.

Having to choose between ending several lives for the sake of a monstrous species' entertainment or being bored (oh, and dying), Big Macintosh makes the obvious choice.
