Romance of the seven hearts
A unicorn's mind
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI waited until Jesse and Rainbow Dash had left, before I began the meeting with the others. "Alright, I believe they are gone.” I said.
"Uh, Twi, are you sure we should have kept that from him, I mean he doesn't seem like.."
"Applejack, I know you enjoy being honest, but in this case, I do believe that he should ever know the truth."
Rarity protested though as she spoke.
"I don't agree though, I mean, Jesse seems so sweet. Hardly at all like the .."
"Hey, don't spoil the story just yet, Rarity. After all we have keep these readers going for at least a little while."
Rarity looked at the fox with confusion.
"What, Readers , What are you talking about?"
Hikaru just gave a sly grin on her face in response. She just said, " Oh, don't worry your pretty little head over it, and forgive me, I was just having some fun with you dear." The fox then teleported away in a puff of smoke.
I looked at my friends and addressed them with what I thought should be said. "Look, this fox has been a great help, but I feel like she sometimes acts weirder and weirder."
"Uh, Applejack, would you mind repeating that, please?"
"Sure thing, Pinkie Pie. I was saying that, while the two of ‘em was occupied, we should try to focus on draining out the rest of Jesse's magick power."
Pinkie Pie frowned at the ground, and said in a shockingly serious voice. "It just doesn't feel right though. I mean, Jesse doesn't seem evil or anything to me, and I would know with the whole Pinkie sense."
Rarity then opened her mouth up to say her piece of mind. "I don't like it either, Pinkie Pie, but you heard what happened from us allowing his power to go unchecked...he nearly killed himself."
Applejack frowned "I know we got good reasons, but it just don't seem right lying to a feller as nice as Jesse."
Fluttershy, who had been too scared to say a single thing, at last found the courage to talk. "I don't know girls, I mean, wasn't poison joke the problem that caused all of this?"
"We just can't be sure though,” I said. “Who knows if it's the poison joke, or if that blue flower was only part of the main issue."
Pinkie pie happily exclaimed, “How long do you think it will be before we can throw him a welcome party?"
"I'll see if I can't set something up. In the mean time, be very careful not to overwhelm, Jesse. Are we clear, Pinkie Pie?"
"Crystal clear, Twilight."
We all agreed, no matter what, we had to protect Jesse, even if it meant draining him to do so.
We all went our separate ways, as we each planned out the details of how we were going to deal with , Jesse
I looked through every book in my library. Now that spike was a full adult dragon, I was all alone. I sometimes miss the little guy.
"Come on, Twilight, you don't have time to dwell on the past." There was not a thing in my Library that could help. “Well, If nothing else I could at least do some more reading of my fan fiction.”
“Hmm...choices, choices” *sigh*. "I guess tonight it is: ‘A Puppet to her fame.’” While I oh so enjoy a good book, sometimes I wonder what kind of crazy these humans must be, to write these types of stories.
*dong*. * dong*
Oh crap, I fell asleep and completely forgot, I was supposed to help Applejack and Rarity set up their, "special" arrangements. Why, Jesse has such strange fantasies, I'll never know. The first place I headed to was the Apple farm.
It was already noon by the time I made it there.
Applejack stood there with a scowl on her face.
"Now, Twilight, I done told y'all, a million times already how important this was to set up."
"I know, and am really sorry, it's just..."
"I know, ya like reading those fancy autherers."
"AUTHORS, I corrected"
"Don't you be gettin’ smart with me."
"S-sorry, why don't we get started, Applejack."
"It's alright I forgives ya, Twi."
"Anyways, what is that you wanted me to do again?"
"Well, from what I reckon, Jesse's fantasy was for me to get, whipped cream and whips."
“Alright then,” I start on putting the whips together.
"I've already got the cream from the milk. I just need to churn it a bit to make the whipped cream."
A few hours later, we had everything ready for her date.
I waved goodbye, and galloped over to Rarity's boutique, as I brought the supplies she needed.
Rarity was waiting by the door.
"Twilight, Darling, I know you went to help out Applejack, but, what kept you for so long?"
I quickly apologized, and explained I simply fell asleep after reading one of those online, human fan fiction stories.
"Geez, How can you read those things, Twilight? The first time I read that one story: Your mind and body belong to me , I couldn't look at Soarin for a month without feeling excited. "I do so miss Soarin though, he was such a kind spirit even to the end."
"I miss him as well,” I said, “But you know you can't live in the past though. Rarity, you just need to look around for a different book. Why don't you check the newest one I read : A puppet to her fame?"
"Sure, Twilight, after all, I heard good things about that author, but for now we should get started on the task at hand."
"Right, we should...uh...what were we doing again?"
Rarity sighed. "Twilight, sometimes I think when you get caught up in your books, your brain gets stuck in them. We were going to splatter proof the boutique, and you were going to teach me that spell."
"Fair enough, now this spell requires very specific detail, so be sure to do exactly what I do perfectly".
It took a lot of work, but we had placed the plastic wraps over all of the furniture, and I had briefly ,taught the spell, then how to reverse it.
I also helped her pick out the books she needed to study. "Good luck with your date Rarity", I said with smile.
"Good bye dear. Make sure Jesse is well rested before our date, and make sure to tell Applejack, these books may take a while to study, so have some extra fun."
"W-well, see you later."
Good grief. I don't see what all this fuss is about, but whatever, if that is what they desire, then who am I to judge. “Me? I would like to just have a simple candle light dinner and read some good books”. “Twilight, you’ve got to quit thinking aloud so much.” I said to myself as I headed back home.
