The E.U.P. was Equestria's protectors at one time in the world. The group fought off griffon's, led charges against Diamond dogs and negotiated with vile dragon's, back when Equestria was in a more tumultuous time. While thy protected Equestria's borders, the country slowly established itself, into what its now known as today.

The only thing that they couldn't fight was the stagnancy that came with time. Their last great contribution was the Wonderbolts and even then it was only a third of the group that was represented. Time passed and they were almost all but forgotten taking in the minimum of recruits as years passed bye, before stopping completely.

Now on its last legs a member mails out a letter to hope for the best news the group can afford this year, avoiding a pay cut. This is the story of how one simple letter to the newest Princess helped rebuild one of Equestria's oldest groups and deter those that want to harm the country and its citizens.
