Chapters Chapter 1: Death, and Arrival
I was coming home from work that day. used to work as a mailman. I know most boring job I could get, but the pay was good. I am just above the average male in height being 5.10 ft.. I was never really ahead of the pack, unless you're talking academically. I was never physical Oh no I used my wits to get out of bad situations. As a child I was the most hyperactive bugger you ever gonna meet. some called me crazy, well, I just let the good times in life roll. I know I acted crazy but it was for one of the stupidest reasons. When I acted like that nobody could hurt me. My emotions were sealed off as my defenses just kept taking hits. When I wasn't acting crazy I was like a soft punching bag I would cry at the slightest insult or hit. Anyways......... Enough about me. Let's get to the story.
Walking home I was mumbling to myself as per usual. Nothing in particular, my job, my girlfriend, life in general. All things I mumbled about as I reached my apartment building in downtown New York City. I greeted the person who stood there just to open the door for people. I quick chat with him and I entered the lobby. I like the familiar decor of the lobby, plants on both sides of the entrance and a red rug on the entire floor. I realized I was just standing there staring into space when somebody tapped my shoulder.
"You feeling well sir?" this snapped me out of my thoughts
"Yeah just admiring the decor." came my reply. I then made a hasty retreat to the elevator. I live on the top floor of the apartment building. Which would be really unfortunate for what was about to happen.
The elevator stopped and the doors opened. I was humming quietly with my eyes closed so I would have no distractions from my soft hum. I'm sorry I had them closed. I bumped into something opening my eyes I saw it wasn't something it was someone . It was a man in a straight jacket, and he was in front of my home. I didn't get a great look at him but it looked like somehow one eye was bigger then the other, and his hair was grey.
"Oh hello there sir. Do you happen to know the man in this apartment here?" He inquired. Knowing he was actually looking for me earned a sharp "YELP!" from me. I ran back to the elevator and started pressing the down button. "HAHA! So you are Gavin I presume? Good! You came to me this won't be hard at all!!!.... Oh deary me why are you leaving?" He asked with an intense look in his eye he somehow managed to get his arms out of his straight jacket. He then preceded to... Lick the elevator door?! Following his tongue a piece of tape started to lay out which said "OUT OF ORDER!" I was confused out of my mind.
"W-W-WHAT?! How wha how? HOW DID YOU DO THAT!? It doesn't make sense how could any body do that?!" I was talking a mile a minute.
He gave me a crazy smile that would creep out anybody He replied to my question saying this. "SENSE? What fun is making sense? Oh and to answer your question my dear, it comes with practice ohhhh I just thought of something! Where you're going we can't have you talking can we?" he tapped his finger to his chin then as if he got an idea he stopped tapping and pointed his finger up with a enlightened look on his face. With a snap of his finger there was duct tape over my mouth! I pulled it off but the pain of it caused me to utter a terrible scream, now I say terrible because it did not sound well... human. Yes. It did not sound human. Also after trying to say something I found that I couldn't speak!
What the hell? Was that duct tape just a prop!? I was beginning to become very frightened by this man, and it was showing on my face. I tried to back away and the only place I could back away to was the staff entrance to the roof.Well I decided to take my chance on the roof. The cold air of the approaching night was indeed soothing despite my situation. I was leaning on the door to keep it closed as he on the other side tried to open it.
"Come on!!! I just want to talk to you! Oh wait. YOU CAN"T TALK!" I could here him laughing hysterically through the door. I looked down and saw a white flash through the bottom of the door...... That isn't here anymore!
What the hell is up with this guy? With another flash he was in front of me, but he now had an antler on his head. This served to widen my eyes even more if that was possible. A backed up as he advanced on me. Looking back I saw I was on the edge! (of glory! OK I could not resist that joke!) "Goodbye Gavin have a nice trip. I'll see you next fall!" He was again laughing hysterically as he pushed me off.
I turned my body in the air to see the people below. One person looked up and started screaming, this got the attention of the surrounding people and she pointed up. They looked up and saw me they screamed and cleared an area for my fall. Seriously nobody is gonna try to help me at all? Well the ground was coming closer so might as well do SOMETHING memorable. I struggled to reach my pocket to get a stick of gum. After losing a few pieces I started chewing and then I spread my arms out wide and told everybody they're "#1". Which this earned a gasp from an elderly woman.
A few feat from the ground I closed my eyes and braced for pain..... But it never came, well I felt some sort of impact but it was like I was moving through Jell-O. I opened my eyes just to see..... Well.... Nothing! I was surrounded by pitch black, it still felt like I was falling though... Am I dead?.... Hmmmm It was less painful then I thought it would be..... What's going to happen now? I just kept thinking for awhile.... Well it FELT like awhile..... In some time I just got bored. I then hear the voice of that strange man.
"Well it appears we are coming to our stop thank you for riding falling bird airlines!"
I know I've thought this many times today already but.... What the hell?! There was a sudden slurping sound and then I saw a whole new landscape before me. It appears that my fall was slowing slightly too not by much but enough towards my landing won't coincide with a large, CRUNCH! There was a forest below me and in the distance to my left was a small looking village.
From this distance it was hard to tell but I could see figures in the village..... Colorful figures! It was strange and my mind was boggled so I forced myself to look down. Below me there was a hut in the forest. It looked like the roof was made of straw and the walls of wood.
Even though my fall was slowing a bit I knew it was still going to hurt, so I braced myself for the impact....... THUMP! CRUNCH! SMASH! I first crashed into the roof, then through the roof, and then onto the hard wood floor. I then heard a surprised voice say.
"What is this I see? A human crashed into my hut deep in the Ever Free!" I looked up to see a zebra with gold rings on her neck and three on her left foreleg. This is what I saw before I passed out with burning pain in my left arm and a mind that hurt almost as much but my mind hurt from thinking about the stressing events of the day.
"what will my girlfriend think?"
"Oh who cares about what those boring people think?" There was that voice of the insane man again.
"Get out of my head you freak!"
"Oh relax I brought you hear for a reason."
"Oh screw that I'm dead!"
"No you are still very much alive."
"Oh fuck no I just fell off a 45 story high building A am most certainly dead.... And another thing you are probably just a figment of my imagination!"
"Oh fine believe what you want you have a destiny here. Gooooodbyyyyeeee!"
I awoke with a start. I instantly regretted waking up, the pain in my arm was just too much to handle! I would have rather kept talking with my imagination..... I look up and the zebra is right in my face.
"The human wakes, and he is scared I can tell by the way he shakes." The zebra rhymed. I try to talk but it comes out more of a growl. The zebra flinched back. "It seems I upset thee this is true, but human's cannot understand speech. So what did I do?" More goddamn rhyming! This zebra looks familiar. Like the one from that show my girlfriend made me watch.... What was it called?... Goddamn it I'm in My Little Pony!!! What sort of twisted hell is this?
"I cannot heal thee, you see. So I wait for Fluttershy to come by!" At the moment I was distracted from the pain my arm is in, but now that she had me thinking about it I can't ignore it! There was a knocking on the door. "Come in, come in!" said the zebra. In came the yellow pegasus from the show Fluttershy. Behind her came the purple Alicorn from the show what was her name? uuhhhh.
"Hello Fluttershy, I see you brought Twilight sparkle to say hi!" Aaahhh That was her name.
"Hello Zecora! So this is the human that uuhh crashed through your roof?" asked Twilight. Zecora began to answer but was interrupted when Fluttershy saw me and charged past her to get to me.
"AAAHHHH! You poor human oh you didn't mean anything bad when you crashed through her roof now did you?" I was too tired and in too much pain resist when she hugged me and nuzzled my cheek.
Oh great! Now there is a pegasus squeezing all the air out of my lungs! My face had to turn purple for her to notice that She was hugging me too hard.
"his arm is broken but I can easily fix that with love, affection, and time, but his arm is dislocated which needs to be fixed right now." she said with a kind smile. Damn it why does she have to be so cute! Honest to god I don't like that stupid show, but I cannot lie this is an ADORABLE pegasus!
"Ok I can relocate his arm." said Twilight. This just so happened to be the last thing I heard before I screamed a animal like scream for the second time that day and blacked out from pain. The last thing I saw was an adorable yellow pegasus fainting on my lap.
Chapter 2: My...... Owner?
I woke up this morning with a yellow pegasus by my bed. Wait... This isn't my bed! I rubbed my eyes fighting to stay awake, and hoping when I looked again the pegasus would be gone. Hmph so it wasn't a dream? I told myself, well not really telling myself I was ASKING myself. This nightmare is bound to be over sometime... Hmm it's strange if I was dead you would think I didn't need food, but I'm starving! My stomach chose that moment to growl.
"Why hello sleepy head." She smiled at me. "I didn't realize you had woken up!" She giggled to herself. It was a cute giggle, it reminded me of my girlfriend.
Goddamn it just wake up already, we were going to the movies today! I hope I wake up in time. You know that's another thing. If this was a DREAM, you'd think I wouldn't need to eat. Busy in my thoughts I hadn't noticed Fluttershy get a muffin off the table. She was looking at me with a teasing expression on her face as she was about to take a bite out of the muffin. Again my stomach chose to growl at that moment. She instantly had a look of regret when she heard my stomach growl.
"Oh I'm sorry for teasing, you must be starving after what you've been through" She hesitantly held the muffin to me. I reached my hand out and tried to say thank you, it came out as a growl though. that and I think I moved too fast because the cute pegasus instantly moved back, her ears splayed back and she tried to hide behind her mane. A bunny moved out from behind her before it could get stepped on. It jumped up grabbed the muffin and came up to me, it held the muffin above it's head. I reached for the muffin slower this time as to not alarm the furry creature. Once I took it the bunny ran back to stand in front of the pegasus. It scowled at her and started thumping it's foot. " Oh I know Angel even though I love all creatures I'm still jumpy with humans." She said obviously ashamed of herself.
HA! Your telling me! I'm not exactly used to talking ponies either toots. Then the thought hit me. I am taking this better than I should be right now. I mean yeah I think that I am either dead or dreaming, but still I should be freaking out right now. Maybe I was just too tired to care? Or maybe it was the pain! I don't know but the more I thought of it the more freaked I was. Oh fuck, talking ponies,talking ponies, talking ponies! This thought kept repeating over and over faster and faster. I was starting to sweat. Calm down Gavin you are logical man, you are a man of science! Oh why was I thinking bad of it now? I mean these ponies haven't tried to hurt me. This thought calmed me down dramatically. Again I was so consumed by my thoughts I didn't even notice the pegasus trying to comfort me. She must have noticed I was getting panicky.
"It's ok boy I won't hurt you. I just want to help you." she said worriedly. Huh her voice was kind of soothing. That thought Immediately vanished as pain coursed through my left arm. My face scrunched up in painful agony. "Oh sorry sorry sorry sorry!!" A stream of apologies came from the mare. She was rubbing my back for some reason. She said one last sorry. "I didn't mean to move your arm it was an accident honest!" She pushed me gently down onto the bed. I began munching on the muffin she gave me. "I'm still wondering how you got into the Everfree forest let alone end up crashing into Zecora's hut little guy." She said this in a more questioning tone then concern.
Little? I'm 23 years old woman! "Oh well your mine now little guy!" Now see when I hear this I was thinking "Your all mine now!! *Evil cackle*" but it was more like when a young girl finds a stray kitty takes it home and the parents say she can keep it. I for one was not a stray kitty though. When I heard that it made some muffin go down the wrong pipe. While I'm coughing she is sitting there panicking because she wants to help but she does not want to accidentally hurt my arm. When I finish my fit of coughing she let's out a deep sigh of relief.
"Oh I thought that was gonna be bad for a moment there." She gave a sheepish smile. "Your probably mad at me now." I rolled my eyes "It's times like this I wish that human's could understand ponies and ponies could understand humans." she had an expression on her face that said she was lost in thought. You know you'd think I would want to try and communicate with her right now but. One I figured this is my afterlife or it was a dream. Two something in the back of my head just told me it was not a good idea. I wasn't scared at all it's just.... I didn't seem to need to.
Three muffins later (roughly an hour)
"I have to go little guy try to be good while I'm gone, I'll return in two to three hours tops" She said as if she was talking to a 7 year old.
You said it yourself that humans aren't SUPPOSED to be able to understand ponies. I face palmed inwardly. I was still in bed but I was wide awake. She shouted a final farewell before closing the door. While I'm alone I might as well look around! I got up being careful not to move my arm too much. Looking around this place was FULL of animal stuff. Bird houses, mouse holes, and there was even a bear sleeping in the corner! I did a full sweep of the downstairs area and when I was about to go upstairs when I heard that.... that horrible voice.
"Ah Gavin I've been looking all over for you!" I turned around to see something that I was not expecting at all. The only reason I knew it was the same person that killed me (whether or not it was in a dream) was this THING was because of the one antler, but now besides that antler was a horn. They were attached to a horses head a weird snake like body which was covered in brown fur. there was a bat wing and a pegasus wing, a bird claw and a lion paw, a dragon tail, a horse leg and a dragon leg. This was one wacky creature.
"So I hope it wasn't too unpleasant of all fall after all you DO have a destiny to fulfill" He said in a bored tone
"Oh and I CAN hear your thoughts so feel free to contribute to the conversation"
"What the hell"
"We don't have Hell here on Equus we have Tartarus."
"Do I look like I care?"
"Hm no not really, anyways I really am glad that you're Fluttershy's pet. She is a personal friend of mine."
"I am not a fucking pet!"
"Oh but in this world you are my dear! Humans here are dull, stupid, aggressive, and pets in this world. Oh and did I forget to mention they are quite often used for sex toys here?"
I just gave him the worst glare I could muster in my confused state.
"Oh don't look at me like that if I didn't need you to help Equestria you would be DEAD right now."
"I'm not here to save anything this is all in my imagination. IT IS JUST A DREAM!"
"Oh I could prove that quite wrong right now if I wanted to. Listen I came to talk. Oops I meant think with you for a reason."
"Well get to the point then."
"Ugh fine. You have a job to do here and I need to make sure you know it. For now act like the stupid animal humans are suppose to be here, and when it is time to reveal yourself we will have a chat." And just like that he was gone in a puff of smoke. I didn't want to go upstairs, now I just wanted to go back into that bed and rest. I didn't even notice the small scrap of paper that fell where that creature was once standing. I just quietly went to bed.
I woke up again to Fluttershy. This time though she was not by the bed. She was coming in with bags full of stuff. "Oh hi little guy I see you've been sleeping."
Does she often state the obvious? "Well I went to the human store and got a few necessities which includes a nice collar!" Fluttershy said quite perkily. While I was think Oh god I am actually a pet. Putting that thought aside I then tuned back into what Fluttershy was saying.
"--- Oh and I got you some meat pills seeing as I can't bring myself to cook anything that used to be alive."
Uhm plants are actual living things to you know! I laughed inwardly at my own joke. She cut off mid sentence when she notice the paper on the ground that I didn't. Luckily she read it aloud.
Hello Fluttershy! I stopped by earlier but you weren't here! I have to say I like your human! He seems very docile when compared to others I have met. Anyways I was hoping have dinner with you. Please tell me when it would be most convenient for me to come over. Yours' truly, Discord
My jaw dropped to the floor and I could not help but squeak a little bit. Ok but you would to if you figured out you were brought here by chaos himself, and he wanted to have dinner where you were living. (Although I don't really live here by choice right now.) "Looks like your gonna meet a friend of mine little guy. Hmm I don't have a name for you, maybe he might have a good name!" I groaned because with her looking I couldn't roll my eyes. Well it's gonna be a hell of a night whenever she decides it best for him to come over. "I think it would be fine for him to come over tomorrow night. Wouldn't that be nice little guy?" She said almost as if reading my mind.
Oh fuck The only thing that would compare to that news is what she said next.
"Hmm I don't think those clothes suit you very much." She paused for a moment. "Let's got see if Rarity can make ya something nice. Something with my Cutie mark on it." She said with a little bit of perkiness in her voice. From the one episode of My Little Pony my girlfriend made me watch I knew what a cutie mark is, and I do NOT I repeat DO NOT want butterflies on my clothing. My eyes widened when I saw her coming towards me with a collar and leash in her hooves.
Oh no... I started to back up.
"Don't worry little guy this won't hurt, and with help from Twilight I'll make sure that you can't break this." She said in what was supposed to be a soothing voice. He then heard discord's voice although he wasn't sure if it was his own imagining or not.
"You don't want to anger chaos do you?" Either way the voice was right he did not want to anger chaos.He gave up not wanting to wear the collar and just sat on the bed. "That's a good little guy just stand still." Now that he wasn't surprised or anything he could appreciate how soothing her voice was. It calmed him. Fluttershy stood up on her back hooves used one fore leg to balance by leaning onto my chest. This forced her to use her mouth and one hoof to get the collar on.
As her cheek rubbed on his as she fumbled a bit getting his collar on (which was pink with butterflies on the what I suppose was supposed to be front back left right of the collar) he could feel her soft fur. It felt good... It was very calming actually. It was like a fluffy pillow. He smiled inwardly at that thought. He was just so calm at the moment he couldn't really help stroking the adorable mares' mane. As if he were petting a dog. She stopped fixing the collar on for the moment.
Her cheek was still on his and he could feel the heat increase for a few moments before she started fixing the collar on again. He still continued to stroke her mane though as it actually did provide a calming feeling. She doesn't seem to dislike it. I think she was just surprise by the gentleness of a species that are suppose to be beasts. Once she got the collar and leash on she stepped back and stared into my eyes for a moment.
As she looked at me I tried my best to hide any emotion the only emotion I would let show in the presence of ponies is curiosity But she was so adorable I couldn't help but my look at her soften, and let my heart open to a possibility for a moment. I guess she saw the look in my eyes for a moment because once I tilted my head to the side and furrowed my eyebrows she sighed, as if she just had a hope dashed into dust.
She took the leash in her mouth (which ponies seem to hold things in their hooves just fine don't see the need to use her mouth) and she said "Cuh om hihhel huy." Which I took to supposed to be "Come on little guy." I didn't need much prompting when she started walking because I was starting to warm up to this pony. to the ponies in general really. Hating the show is one thing but getting to know the ponies themselves is another.

I wanted to give the little guy to Twilight but she said she had her hooves full. After that she didn't really want to give him to anypony else. So she decided to keep him. She had doubts about keeping him because she heard they were supposed to be violent and easily aggravated but spending just awhile with him quenched the any doubtful flames. She really started to warm up to him though because one simple gesture but that gesture showed he was more then just a violent beast.
He started to stroke her mane. It felt so nice, so gentle. It made her blush because, well it truly made her heart flutter for a moment! It's ridiculous though she was not supposed to feel this way about a creature who was not intelligent. She was going to care for him like he cared for all animals! Her wings twitched at her sides. Once she fixed his collar into place (which is extremely hard with your mouth and one hoof) she backed up to examine it. Her eyes gazed higher then she wanted, she stared into his eyes. For a moment she thought she saw the look that was like a colt or filly got when they found their first crush. She thought for a moment there was a chance for something between them.
But then he gave the look of curiosity that EVERY human had, she sighed. Her slight hopes dashed into dust. Oh well, she grabbed the leash in her mouth not really wanting to talk anymore. As soon as she did the human she took to calling little guy followed her without her even having to prompt him. They were heading down the trail to the town in no time! Nothing eventful happened on the way there, they had to stop for a mother duck and her babies. My little guy seeming to not pay attention almost stepped on the mother, so it was luck she had leashed him. Once they made it into town she was immediately greeted by Applejack.
"Well hey there sugarcube hadn't seen ya in two days." Applejack said light heartedly. Fluttershy started to hide behind her mane but thought better of it.
No Fluttershy this is one of your best friends. Fluttershy took the lead out of her mouth and into her hoof. " S-sorry Applejack I've been busy with l-little guy right here." She said timidly and she pointed her free hoof to the human she had with her.
"Shoot sugarcube ain't nothing t'be upset about I know y'have ta take care of yer animals." Applejack said her tone not changing at all. Her reply was only a small nod. " Can I take a quick look at yer human?" Applejack said. It was clear why she was so happy now.
"N-no way Applejack. I-I know what you're thinking!" She was surprised to find her temper rising at the mere thought of it.
"Come on one mating session! He look's like a fine breeding specimen!" Applejack pleaded with her friend. Fluttershy found that it only made her madder. She couldn't handle the thought of her human being shoved into a room with a stranger and not having Fluttershy there to protect him. Why that stranger might attack him! No she would not have that!
So she surprised herself when she yelled as loud as her small voice would let her.... Which was surprisingly loud. "NO!" Came the scream.
"Alright sorry I asked sugarcube. Listen Pinkie Pie is havin a party tomorrow evenin I thought I would let ya know." Came the voice of Applejack which sounded even more timid then Fluttershy at that moment. Fluttershy instantly felt horrible.
"Sorry I yelled at you Applejack. Look I can't go to the party tomorrow I'm having dinner with Discord." She told Applejack who was beginning to look better. They said their goodbyes and then Fluttershy made her way to the Carousel Boutique.

It was weird having the thought that apparently the element of honesty was a human breeder. It was even weirder thinking she wanted to breed me. He shivered not from the cold, no his leather..... HA! Wait no it's not funny, I'm wearing a leather jacket whilst surrounded by ponies. Wait hmm maybe they didn't know about leather? Anyways. No he shivered at the thought of being left in a room with some random woman and being forced to have sex.
He could tell they were getting close to the place Fluttershy was talking about because... Well it looked like somebody built a house around/on a carousel. Right now having butterflies on his clothes didn't sound so bad. As long as Fluttershy thought he was her's then he wasn't going to get breeded. Looking around he saw more humans and most of them were naked and chained outside of buildings. He blushed a little when he saw the naked humans especially naked females this he was pretty sure, caused his entire face turn red.
"here we are little guy." Came Fluttershys' quite voice snapping his attention back to her. They walked into the building. Immediately upon entry Fluttershy was tackled into a hug by a unicorn with a white coat and purple main.
"Why hellooo darling! How have you been?" said the unicorn who obviously did not know about personal space. "
G-good Rarity I've been really good." Fluttershy said, as she quite often did she sounded a bit scared.
"Now pray tell why are you here darling?" asked Rarity who has finally let go of Fluttershy.
"I need new clothes for my human. These are the clothes he was found in and" she began whispering at this point. "Some sick pony has him wearing a leather jacket!" Rarity eyes widened and looked at me in horror.
So they DO know about leather.
"Right away darling this just cannot stand! Oh the poor creature killed to make that jacket!" she shivered "Darling undress him so I can take proper measurements please!"
WHAT?! I looked at Fluttershy who was at my side, her face flushed and then she blushed.
"Oh take him onto that platform first!" I was grateful for even the slightest delay in having my manhood hanging in the open for all to see.Unfortunately the delay wasn't nearly long enough. Fluttershy (still blushing) looked up into my eyes and said
"S-sorry," She first pulled my shirt off then hesitating she tried to quickly pull them down and get it over with, but it appeared her eyes got stuck. Her blush deepened when she realized what she was doing. she quickly finished. Of course I was blushing too but I had to get it under control before they noticed, because from what Discord said humans aren't supposed to really have emotions.
"Oh no need to blush he's just a.... Oh holy mother Celestia!" She was caught staring as well and it was extremely hard to keep my face blank. "Well darling..... He's... Large. " This only made it harder to stay blank. "Well let's get started." I was basically attacked by measuring tape as she got what she needed. She paused only briefly on my junk. "Ok I got what I needed now get your human redressed and wait over there."
That mare works fast because in only an hour or so she came back with the clothes. three pairs of casual clothing all the same yellow pants and pink shirt. one suit for formal events (Why would I be going to any formal event's?) this suit was almost completely yellow except for all the accessories, they were pink. (tie a fake flower those kinds of things) Then I had a pair of completely pink pajamas. Fluttershy forgot her saddle bags so they put the clothes into a normal bag and tested to see if I would keep a hold of them. Which of course I did. Fluttershy said goodbye and we walked home. Nothing really eventful happened the way back. Once home...
Wait have I been calling this place home the entire time? Anyways Fluttershy changed me into my pajamas. (which as you would imagine there was more blushing from both parties) She rested me into bed being careful of my left arm, (Which even though hasn't been talked about much yes it is still broken and hurts like Hell sometimes.) then she watched over me as I fell asleep. Right before I fell completely asleep I felt her climbed into the bed and lay her head in my lap with a yawn. Which earned a silent D'AAAWWWW from me. I began stroking her mane, she didn't move just gave a happy sounding sigh.

Chapter 3: Chaos Would Like Some Tea
I woke up this morning and I just felt so relaxed. I swear if Fluttershy wasn't laying her head on my lap I would think I was in my own bed. I wanted to get up but I didn't dare, I didn't want to wake up Fluttershy when she looked so adorable! I began to gently stroke her mane seeking the comforting feeling, but still not wanting to wake her up. I looked around the room as I lay there. I spotted the white rabbit standing by a bowl looking at me expectantly.
You're looking at the wrong guy little fella. I snickered to myself. I stopped looking around and just laid my head down to rest a little longer. I stopped stroking Fluttershy's mane and laid my hand atop her head. I heard her mutter something about feeding Angel. Is that the name of that bunny? Hmm doesn't seem like much of an angel! A moment after she muttered this her eyes shot wide open.
"I slept in!! Oh I'm sorry angel. Humans appear to be very comfortable to sleep on." She blushed a little bit after saying this but she quickly returned to normal. "Oh what time is it... Oh no I slept in far too long." I followed her gaze to the clock. it was 10:37 in the morning.
This is sleeping in for you?! I'm almost never awake for another 23 minutes! As carefully and gracefully as Fluttershy got up, she could not avoid sending a sharp jolt of pain through my arm.
"Oh sorry little guy I wasn't really paying attention, I was planning the day in my head. Hey little guy you have an appointment in about an hour." She paused for a moment it looked liked she was trying to think of something. "I think it's... with..... Nurse Redheart? Hmm probably. We'll know for sure when we get there."
Oh an appointment with a doctor. They better not move my arm around as much as you do! I joked although obviously she couldn't hear me. Sometimes it was nice to just pretend like I could actually talk to her. She finally got off the bed which allowed me to swing my legs off the bed and stretch. Nothing feels quite as good as a good stretch in my opinion! Unfortunately I didn't get a good stretch before I was pushed back down onto the bed.
"No no little guy, you stay right there while I get ready. I'll have to get you ready in about 15 minutes."
Don't let your eyes linger on my junk this time please. I rolled my eyes when she wasn't looking.
"Oh now where did I leave my saddle bags?" Which I happened to spot underneath a chair, and apparently so did the rabbit. The rabbit jumped in front of Fluttershy. "I don't have time Angel!" The rabbit began thumping his foot and pointing towards her bags. Fluttershy just gave Angel a confused look. Angel apparently got frustrated with just pointing, he grabbed some of Fluttershy's mane and used it to make her face her saddle bags. "Oh. Sorry Angel." She gave a nervous giggle. "I'll be in the shower and when I'm done I'll get you ready little guy." She said as she headed upstairs. I decided to just nap until she was done. In my sleep I heard Discord start to talk to me as he has been doing every time I go to sleep.
"You are starting to like that pony aren't you?" he said sounding rather amused.
"Well perhaps I am. So? What does it matter to you?"
"Oh I was just wondering, you know because she seems very fond of you too."
"She like all animals, and like you said here humans are just dumb animals."
"Oh do you not understand me? She thinks more of you then that." I interrupted him.
"Fat chance."
"Let me finish next time please, she is fighting about it in her mind. She doesn't really know why you attract her, she does see you as a dumb animal at the moment. That is the only reason she is fighting the feeling."
"Whatever like I'd believe you. You won't even tell me why you brought me here! Just leave me alone. I would like a nap to not be disturbed by you."
"Oh fine White Hawk you begin to bore me anyways."
"Wait what did you call me?!"
"Goodbyyeeee! I'll see you at dinner!"
The dream ended leaving me very confused. Why the hell would call me White Hawk? Hmm there must be some meaning behind it. I was shaken from my nap.
"Wake up little guy. Ahh you poor guy you must have had a horrible nightmare." Fluttershy said her voice full of concern.
What? I hadn't notice the perspiration on my skin, I was breaking out into a cold sweat.
"Oh little guy I'll be right back with another towel." I couldn't help but think about how caring she is. I stared at her as she went upstairs. I was so intent staring at her that I didn't notice the bunny on the bed until it jumped onto my stomach. Which earned a large grunt from me.The bunny eyed me suspiciously, as if it suspected that I had some bad intention.
Did Angel see Discord yesterday? I wondered. Before I could think to deeply into it Fluttershy came back down.
"Sorry I took so long I had to look around for a clean towel. Angel what are you doing?" Angel started jumping up and down and pointed at me as he did. The jumping earned several grunts from me. "Oh stop being a silly bunny Angel, are you angry because I woke him up before feeding you?" Angel just gave her the stink eye. I on the inside was laughing my ass off, on the outside though I just did my best to keep a blank look and not laugh.
Fluttershy sighed. "Angel get off him so I can get him dressed into his new clothes." Angel jumped off me and then started thumping his foot on the ground as if speaking in Morse code or something. Fluttershy's face lit up like a red bulb on a Christmas tree! "W-why of course I d-don't think of h-him like th-that!" After hearing her say that I could guess what Angel was suggesting. Fluttershy was now hiding her face behind her mane the entire time she changed me. (It was extremely hard to get a shirt on or off without hurting my broke arm.) Her eyes to my relief did not linger on my junk when she changed me. (Let me tell you it's really embarrassing when somebody or in this case somepony has to change you.)
Soon we were heading out the door. (Leaving behind a very disgruntled Angel) I cannot lie. I should have been very dissatisfied having to wear a collar, but it was pretty comfortable. The outside area of it was made of a plastic like material but the inside felt like velvet, it was very smooth. It actually kinda tickled at times.*cough* Uhm anyways the walk to the hospital was about half an hour. In town I still found it weird seeing naked humans around. Through one window I saw something that disturbed me. I won't say details but it looked like the human and mare in there were having a pretty good time.
"Sorry we're late for our appointment with Nurse Redheart." Fluttershy said as we entered the hospital.
"Oh it's quite alright dear she only has 2 other appointments today." Said a mare with a pastel green coat, her mane had a white stripe down the middle and the green was slightly darker, her tail was looks like the opposite of her mane.
"Oh ok, thank you for that information Minty Fresh."
Really?! Minty Fresh? Who names these ponies?! I thought trying hard not to laugh.
"She is waiting in room #3-E." Minty Fresh said plainly.
Upon reaching the room we were immediately greeted by a mare who I could only assume was Nurse Redheart. She had a white coat, blue eyes, and her cutie mark was a red cross with 4 hearts.
"Hello Nurse Redheart I hope we aren't too late." Said Fluttershy sounding sorry already.
"Why it's quite alright dear. I'm not very busy today anyway." We stepped into the hospital room. Which surprisingly looks like any hospital room on earth.
So do these ponies have modern medicine?
"Lay your human down onto the bed please." Nurse Redheart commanded Fluttershy wanting to get down right to business. I let Fluttershy lead me to the bed and lay me down onto it.
"Ok now let's move your arm into a proper position." Is what Nurse Redheart said before I released a blood curdling scream and blacked out.

Hearing her little guy scream in pain like that just broke her heart! She almost fainted,but no the scream that made her almost faint also kept her from fainting. She was starting to feel kind of panicky as she said.
"Oh my little guy! Is he ok? Oh PLEASE tell me he's fine!" Besides panic you could also hear worry in her voice.
"Relax he just blacked out from shock the that came with the excruciating pain of having his arm put into the proper place for it to heal." said Nurse Redheart trying to reassure her.
"Nurse Redheart?"
"Yes?"
"Th-that's not very reassuring."
"Oh... Oh just trust me he will be fine!"
Fluttershy just sighed and pulled a chair up next to her little guy. Nurse Redheart used a a device that looked like a laser gun to scan my little guy she then used the same device to project an image of his skeleton on the wall.
"Fluttershy, it's quite amazing actually, there is evidence of 3 fracture points here, here, an d here." she pointed out two spots above the elbow and 1 just above the wrist. "Now how long did you say his arm has been broken?" Nurse Redheart sounded like she just got good results from a test subject in a science lab.
"It would be 3 days today Nurse Redheart." Fluttershy said she was confused and waiting for the nurse to get to the point.
"Ah see those fractures should have taken a weak at the least to heal. and this still existing fracture hear looks like it should be healed by tomorrow. This human shows a very rapid healing rate!" Nurse Redheart sounded very excited. Fluttershy didn't care though she was just happy that her little guy was gonna be alright.
"So since he's gonna be alright tomorrow, does that mean he doesn't have to stay here tonight?" She asked very hopefully.
"Well actually I'd like to keep him here for the night to run some tests... With your permission of course!" Fluttershy did not waste a single moment thinking to answer.
"No, no, no, no, NO! I will not let you, no, anypony! I will not let anypony perform tests on my little guy!" She shrieked louder then she meant to. As long as she had the attitude she may as well stick with. "Goodbye Nurse Redheart!" She moved her little guy onto her back and headed for the door. Nurse Redheart said goodbye although she sounded very confused as to what just happened. She didn't know why she was so angry it's not like he was going to get hurt, but she hated the small possibility that he could though. Anyways she had a very angry look all the way out the hospital, she didn't even stop when the receptionist (Minty Fresh) asked her what was wrong. No she didn't even answer when Twilight asked her what's wrong. She stopped though because she had something she wanted Twilight to do for her.
She calmed herself down before she asked Twilight "Hey Twilight! Do you have any spells to make things unbreakable? Or at least stronger." Twilight had to think for a few moments, she didn't have a spell to make things unbreakable, but she did have a spell to make things stronger. She always has a spell every time her friends need one.
"Why do you need me to do this spell Fluttershy?" Twilight questioned. She didn't sound like she thought Fluttershy was up to something, she just sounded curious.
"Well I need you to cast the spell on my little guy's collar and leash, you know so he can't break them." Fluttershy said the last part as if it was obvious. Which it probably was.
"Oh that will be easy just get the collar off him and put it on the ground." Twilight said as if is was the simplest thing in the world instead of a complicated spell.
"Oh uhm I'm gonna need help getting him off my back." Before she even finished the sentence she could feel his weight come off her back as Twilight gently grasped him in her magic. She set him onto the ground with utmost care.
"He's so cute when he sleep's." She said adding a D'AAAWWWWW afterwards.
"You mean cute as any animal is when they sleep right?"
"Y-yeah." she said slightly taken aback by the question
"Good I would hope you don't do what AJ does behind closed doors."
"W-what is that?"
"Let's just say that sometimes you walk in on things that just can't be taken out of your mind with a memory erasing spell."
"Oh." Fluttershy's cheeks blushed when she realized what Twilight was talking about.
Twilight used her magic to take the collar off him. Following proper safety measures she moved it 12 hf. away before casting the spell. After a moment of concentration there was a satisfying POOF! Twilight opened her eyes and said
"Oh It worked! Oh I mean.... Yeah I knew it would work!" Fluttershy gave her an unapproving look. "Come one it was my first time using that spell!" This just earned a facehoof from Fluttershy. "... Anyways if that's all you wanted AJ told me you were going to have dinner with Discord. Shouldn't you be preparing some food?" Fluttershy's eyes went wide. She had completely forgot she needed to prepare food! She needed to hurry home!
"Oh dear Celestia! I forgot to start preparing food! I have to hurry Twilight. Bye!" With that she hurried off... Until she realized she forgot her little guy.

I woke up floating in the air surrounded by a magenta aura, which strangely tickled. Even though it tickled he began to properly freak out, flailing his arms, kicking his legs. This was until the magenta aura constricted around him, this made me stay completely still.
"Calm down little guy I won't drop ya, well Fluttershy look's like you won't have to carry him on your back!" The purple alicorn said sounding enthusiastic. She not too gently let me drop to the ground.
You said you wouldn't drop me!
"You said you wouldn't drop him!" Fluttershy shrieked
See the pegasus gets it! , she looked ready to charge at Twilight.
"Relax he was like a hoof off the ground." Fluttershy's eye twitched. You could see dozens of little men just massaging her brain trying to calm her down. I got myself into a sitting position as Fluttershy got the collar and put it back on me. She looked pissed, I wasn't very mad about being dropped but apparently she was!
"Come on little guy get up. We need to get home so I can make dinner." She started to nudge me to get me to stand and follow her. As we walked off she still looked pissed so I decide to try calming her down. I reached down and started stroking her mane, when we were about half way home she looked completely calm and collected again.
Huh, I called that place home again
She sighed happily. "I know you can't understand me but... You seem to always know when I need someone to calm me down."
Well your facial expressions are pretty easy to read. I slouched as we walked, not even trying to act like the humans here. I was very tired, although it looked like I slept awhile because when I glanced at the clock it said 5:00 o-clock. Also upon entry We were greeted by a very angry Angel.
"I know Angel, I need to feed you." She said as she reached for a bag on top of the fridge that was full of carrots.
Shouldn't the carrots be IN the fridge? I mentally shrugged and went to plop down onto the bed. Once I situated myself into a position with minimal pain for my arm I began to think about the event's of the day. My train of thought immediately came to a halt when it came to my earlier nap. He called me a white hawk, but, why? I was pondering this in my mind until I noticed Fluttershy was walking towards me. Forgetting that Discord disabled my speech I tried to say "what", but it came out as a confused grunt. In return she gave me a confused look.
"You know you haven't made much noise at all since I've had you, apart from screaming in pain." She gave me a sheepish smile when she said the last part. "Besides that you act kind of strangely to, while other humans would usually attack whoever caused their pain you scream but don't attack." She had took a suspicious gaze at me.
She better not be thinking too closely to the truth now! Who knows what Discord would do to me if she found out before he wanted me to be found out? He tried to stray away from that thought, he didn't want to think of what chaos himself could do to a person.
"Well, anyways you're probably hungry so I need to give you these, they're not much but they'll keep you until dinner." She pulled out two pills she was hiding before. Now I didn't have to fake my look curiosity.
Now what the fuck are those for? As if she read my mind she answered my question.
"Don't worry little guy these will just give you all that you would need meat to give you if you were in the wild."
Come to think of it, I haven't had any meat in 3 days! I found myself thinking about steak, this pony must be starting to affect me because after I thought about the steak I thought about a cow with big round anime looking eyes.
"Stand still little guy." With one hand she kept my mouth open.
Well this isn't degrading, I rolled my eyes inwardly. I'm letting a pony from a show I hate make me take pill's that are supposed to substitute meat. With that I batted her hand away got up, and walked towards the stairs.
"Oh no little guy come back! Oh don't go up there you need to stay down here." She grabbed my good arm and pulled me away from the stairs, and I was resisting believe me. These ponies are surprisingly strong! Still I was strong enough to give her a hard time. This went one for about 10 - 15 minutes. She got me to sit down and forced the pills into my mouth and made me swallow. I felt a little better getting a tiny bit of frustration out. I didn't want to be cruel, but I don't see anyone staying completely nice when they are being treated like an animal. "Oh please don't be a trouble maker when Discord comes little guy." Fluttershy pleaded
Oh I'll be EXTRA nice for him! I thought sarcastically. I then heard the doorbell ring, and I'm not sure if I was crazy or not but I think I saw an eye pop out from in the crack between the door and the wall.
"I'm coming!" Fluttershy shouted exiting the kitchen. When she opened the door I was not happy to who was behind it. That was to say he was the very bane of my existence, Discord.
"Why hello darling! How are you this fine day?" Discord took an umbrella out of nowhere and somehow it started raining chocolate milk just above him.
"Oh I'm fine Discord, I'm sorry I'm still cooking dinner it should be done in about half an hour." Fluttershy moved to the side to let Discord through, somehow the chocolate milk drops just disappeared when they hit the floor.
"Oh that's quite alright Fluttershy, it gives me time to hang around" He was now walking on the roof. "with your little guy right here." I scrunched up my face, bared my teeth, and growled as ferociously as I could at him. I got slapped in the back of the head with Fluttershy's wing.
"Bad boy! Why would you growl at Discord?" Fluttershy sounded a bit upset but I didn't really care, I hate this guy!
"It's ok Fluttershy my chaotic aura upsets some animals . I'm sure he'll stop growling if he knows what's good for him." He glared at me, and since Fluttershy wasn't looking I thought I would be mature and stick my tongue out at him. For the entire time we waited for dinner me and Discord had a staring match. Which disappointingly I lost. Fluttershy came out of the kitchen and gave me a bowl of mushroom stew, YUCK! I was very hungry so I started eating the gross stew.
"Now you stay there and be good!" Fluttershy stared over her shoulder at me as she went back into the kitchen. "For us Discord I made chili!"
AHH! I want chili! I whined to myself.
"So Fluttershy, what IS the little guys name?" Discord asked with one brow raised.
"Well I haven't really named him yet." Well when you do I better not be named Fluffy!
"Oh I have an excellent suggestion! Do you know how many names have ancient translations?"
"Yeah?" Fluttershy sounded more like she was asking a question then giving an answer.
"Well the name I'm thinking you should name him Gavin, and Gavin translates to White hawk." So is that why he called me white hawk? Hmm, guess I was just being paranoid.
"Why do you think that would be a good name?"
"Well sometimes fate just leaves hints for you, these hints will help you find your fate. Besides look what you could add to his clothing!" With that he snapped his fingers, for a moment I was surrounded by smoke. I freaked out a bit and was trying to look around everywhere at once to see what he did. I caught site of my shoulders, on my shoulder's were the images of white hawks there wings spread wide and you could see butterflies poking out from behind them. It looked as if they were shielding the butterflies. Not gonna lie I kind liked the design. I noticed that I wasn't acting very normal human like so I hoped Fluttershy would think he was curious to see what the heck just happened.
I remembered that Fluttershy's cutie mark was on the back of the shirt too, so I got up and looked for a mirror. Finding a mirror I turned around to get a good look at the back of the shirt, the white hawk was there although this one was bigger obviously but this one had it's wing wrapped around the butterflies.
"Oh that does look nice. Yes I think that would be a wonderful name!" Fluttershy squeaked with delight to have finally having a name for me.
Well there's one thing I can thank Discord for.
Those two made small chat as they finished their food. I finished my stew quickly and then got to thinking about what discord said. "Well sometimes fate just leaves hints for you everywhere, these hints will help you find your fate." I know he was directing that towards me, but why? What use does my name serve to my fate? I pondered this for quite awhile before I noticed Discord was about to leave.
"Discord are you sure you won't have any teas before you leave?" Fluttershy asked as she reached into the cupboard.
"Chaos would like some tea."

Flight Of The Hawk
I was soaring over Equestria, parts of it I've never even seen! A city that reminded me of Manhattan, a city in the clouds, and a city on the mountain side with a palace made of marble of gold. I was amazingly high in the sky, I could see hundreds of miles in any direction. He was heading for the palace, getting closer he could see more details. It was beautiful! The architecture looked greek unlike the city around it which looked more medieval.
I saw light's on in the palace, I flew towards the lights when I saw two shadows. One was smaller then the other, both their manes and tail flowed in a non existent breeze. I looked below myself when he heard a noise. It was a unicorn gasping as she saw the giant white hawk in the sky. I loved the feeling of wind beneath my wings as I beat my wings up and down. As I got closer to the window in which I could actually see the figures through I could hear snippets of their conversation.
The tall mare with the multi colored mane and white coat said. "He has been acting strangely lately sister."
The short mare with a semi transparent mane with what look like stars and dark blue coat said. "How so sister?"
"He hasn't been sleeping the past few nights, I have often found him staring out his window and towards Ponyville."
"That is peculiar, do you suspect he's been up to anything?"
"Innocent until proven guilty I suppose, but he's been doing this ever since there was an anomaly above the Everfree forest."
"How long ago was that sister?"
"This would be the fifth night since it happened."
"I see, sister would you mind closing the window? It's awfully cold this evening."
"Ok sister.... Oh what a magnificent creature!" The white mare was looking at me in awe.
"He is rather large isn't he? Why he is bigger than the average pony!" The dark blue mare sounded only slightly more awed then the first.
"He looks like one of the ancient nature spirits." The white mare said.
Nature spirits? This place keeps getting both weirder and cheesier!
"But if this is true then humans will..." The dark blue mare was interrupted.
"Yes Luna human's will start transform into the ancient beasts which once terrified our ponies." The white mare said gravely.
"What can we do to stop this Celestia?" Luna asked extremely worried.
"We can do absolutely nothing stop this Luna, these spirits awaken the sleeping beasts, they are meant to destroy them. I knew this was coming for quite some time now sister, have you not noticed humans' changing behavior in the past month?" Luna only shook her head. "Well now that the first spirit is awakened the humans will begin to transform now, it will happen slowly at first but then it will began to happen faster humans will be transforming in groups! It will start happening around the spirit first, but once three of the seven spirits are awake then it will happen all over Equestria." Celestia finished gravely. "Go spirit you are our only hope unite with the other six. I wish you good luck." I cocked my head to the side being confused as hell.
This has to be a dream doesn't it? I mean come on I am no spirit. I am a human. I then thought of what Discord said at dinner that evening. It basically went that sometimes fate will give us clues, and if we follow those clues we will easily find our own fate. It was fate that brought me to Equestria. No Discord brought you here after he killed you, but still in the afterlife what do I have to lose?
"What are you waiting for spirit?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Luna. I looked at her for a moment before I flew off. Where I was heading, I had no idea. I just let my wings carry me away to where ever they wanted to. I found myself heading in the direction of ponyville. I was pondering everything I just heard. How could it even be possible for me to be a nature spirit? For all my life I have just been normal human Gavin. My thought's carried me until I reached Fluttershys' cottage. I hovered a few feet from the window shocked by what I saw.
Fluttershy was standing by my bed. It looked like she had just been crying for at least an hour. I could see the clock through the window, it was 3:00 A.M. In Fluttershys' hoof she was holding a broken collar. What happened? Was this really a dream? If this wasn't a dream when did I transform? Did ever fall asleep at all, if I did in fact fall asleep when did I wake up? Did Fluttershy see me transform? These questions and so many more popped into my head as I kept hovering outside the window.
"Where are you Gavin?" I heard her whimper. "Why did you leave? How did you break your collar?" She asked after a hiccup. I couldn't stand to see her like this anymore. I flew into the window, the noise of my flapping wings made her look up to see what was going on. Her eyes widened when she looked and saw me. "W-hat" Her voice broke a little bit as I could see a new wave of tears begin to stream down her cheeks. After I wiped one of her cheeks I bent down and gently nuzzled it. She looked up at me and said thanks. "Huh, Gavin leaves in the middle of the night and a giant white hawk comes in the middle of the night." She said obviously trying to make it sound like a joke. A shiver ran down my body as I felt the wing I had wrapped around Fluttershy change back into an arm. My eyes widened when I saw it, my energy began to quickly drain away. I got so tired I couldn't keep my head, so i laid it down on Fluttershys' shoulder. She looked over at my recent wing that now was almost completely back to being an arm. She gasped, and that gasp was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.
Chapter 4: A Beast In Ponyville
I didn't wake up in a bed today, I woke up in a wooden chair. Why am I in a chair, where's Fluttershy. Huh, I got used to Fluttershy being there when I wake up. I stretched both my arms out wide, wait, both arms. He almost leaped out of his chair when he realized what he did. My arm is healed! Wow it's only been... What 3 days? I was over joyed! I didn't care how I could have healed so fast I was just glad that I wasn't going to have to be careful and avoid my left arm anymore.
I tried to rub the sleep out of my eyes, but to no avail. Fluttershy wasn't downstairs at least so I went to get some water. On my way to the sink something caught my eye, a broken pink collar with butterflies on it. Last night flooded back to me, and the migraine that came with it. Pain was pulsing through my head as I remembered what had happened. I looked at my arms not believing that a few hours ago they had been wings. How was it fucking possible?! it wasn't a dream, but I can't even control it. I held my hands over my ears as if that would help the pain. The pain just kept growing though, eventually I couldn't help but scream. I screamed until it felt like my longs would burn, above my screaming I could hear the faint clopping of hooves on the path outside. A moment later Fluttershy burst through the door, I couldn't really see her because my eyes were shut but I could hear the door slam shut behind her.
"Gavin! Oh please be alright." I could hear her voice get closer to me, I could also hear a ringing begin to form in my ears, as her hoof steps got closer the ringing got louder. I felt her fore legs wrap around me, and when they did the ringing stopped. The pain however took a few minutes to subside. I was confused as hell and thought this pony could help me figure things out, so I forgot about all the things Discord could do to me and nodded when Fluttershy asked.
"Are you alright now Gavin." Her eyes widened slightly when I did but her expression slowly turned into a small grin. "After last night I suppose the fact that you just gave an intelligent answer to my question wouldn't be too weird huh?" I shook my head. She sighed and set her head on my shoulder. "Don't suppose you can tell me what turning into a giant white hawk was all about?" I was about to shake my head again when an angry looking Discord slammed the door open and walked in.
"I tell you to be a stupid animal until I tell you, but you go and communicate with Fluttershy! Is being stupid really that hard?!" I nodded in response before I carefully moved Fluttershys' head off my shoulder and made her stop wrapping her fore legs around me. After doing so I promptly stepped up to him and stomped on his dragon like foot. He gave a satisfying YOUCH and shouted what I assume are pony cuss words, horseapples is one thing he shouted. "You dare bring pain to chaos himself?!" His eyes began tog low with a fiery light.
"Discord what is going on here?!" Fluttershy stepped between me and Discord. The glow in Discord's eyes began to fade and he gave a nervous grin.
"Well you see Fluttershy uhm, well, are you aware of any legends involving ancient nature spirits?" Flutteershy shook her head. "Well uhm" Discord cleared his throat. "Well there are supposed to be seven ancient nature spirits, once they awaken the beasts that hide inside humans will start to awaken. Now tell me have you noticed any odd behavior in humans recently?" Another shake of the head. "Well you need to get out more often, anyways I noticed this behavior so i began to channel my magic to find these spirits, I found that they were still sleeping soundly accept for one, I found one spirit in another world." He then pointed to me. Fluttershy went wide eyed.
While slightly surprised still, I heard this all last night. "Even though he was in another world it was still affecting the humans here, see ponies are no match for the beasts that sleep within humans so if Gavin here stayed in his own world we would be doomed! Isn't that wonderful?" Fluttershy shy looked very confused.
"Wait so if there are seven and Gavin is one of them do you know where the other six are?" Discord only nodded his head. "Can you tell us?" Discord shook his head. "Why not?" Discord sighed.
"Because if I were to simply tell you there would be no challenge, no point for this story to continue!" Discord pointed at something we couldn't see.
"Uhm what are you pointing at, and what do you mean no point for the story to continue?" Discord looked at us as if it were painfully obvious.
"Why the people reading the story of course!" I just shrugged this off as Discord being crazy.
"So can Gavin understand us at all?" I face palmed.
"Why yes he can, quite clearly actually where he comes from everyone would. Well not everyone in his world but everyone from his country" Discord elaborated
"Can he talk? I mean if he is intelligent you would think he can talk."
"Oh yes I took that ability away from him when I took him here, now that you know he's intelligent there's no point in not letting him talk." With a snap of his fingers I felt a sort of ticklish sensation on my neck.
"Now go ahead boy choose your first words in Equestria very carefully." He didn't have to say that, I already knew what I wanted to say.
"What the hell?!" I shouted. Fluttershy looked like she had just been slapped, while Discord was rolling on the floor laughing. "Can you explain to me why I'm a nature spirit thingy and not normal old Gavin?!" I asked only about 3/4 serious. Discord however sounded very serious for once.
"Now that chap I really don't know, it perplexed me too. I just decided to roll with it as the saying goes." He snapped his fingers and was now in a barrel rolling across the floor.
"So Gavin?" Fluttershy started.
"Yes?" I said raising an eyebrow.
"You're not mad at me for uhm accidentally moving your arm so much are you?" I chuckled at that question.
"Why of course not! you know what's weird though, my arm is already healed and it's only the fourth day since it's been broken." The injury should have taken weeks to heal!
"Oh the doctor commented about that, she wanted to take tests on you." She gave a sheepish grin. I was about to reply to that when Discord spoke up.
"Guys one more thing before I go, I do not want you telling anypony about this Fluttershy. If people find out then they find out but we do not need to cause any panic. If anypony finds out then you can tell your friends but until then I bid you farewell." In a puff of smoke he was gone.
"So what's for breakfast?" I asked jokingly as I closed the door. Fluttershy's left eye twitched when she heard how casual I sounded. "It feels great to be able to talk again. Gets boring having to listen to everything and not be able to say a single word in response." It was kind of funny to see her so quiet after she had been so talkative for the past few days.

I didn't know why I was so shocked by it, hay I should be delighted! I was hoping for something like this. That one moment, that gentle touch.
"Are you ok Fluttershy?" Gavin sounded worried. I felt kind of guilty making him worried about me. I blew my mane out of my eyes before I said.
"I'm just shocked really, so uhm the first time you stroked my mane?" I could see the calculating look in his eyes, although with the answer he gave me I couldn't see what he was thinking about.
"Well you just looked so adorable" He smirked for a moment. "I just couldn't help it! Not even a new born puppy is that cute, well maybe a lab. but come on that's not even fair!" He laughed. His laugh sounded strange, but perhaps that's because I have nothing to compare it to.
"It's kind of weird to think that I treated an intelligent being like an animal." She said changing the subject.
"It wasn't a big deal, just wish you wouldn't have kept causing me pain!" I don't understand how he is in such a good mood. I found myself giggling anyways.
"Well I've already had breakfast, while you were asleep actually. If you know how I have the ingredients for pancakes." I said after I got my giggling under control. "I dropped my bags when I ran the rest of the way hearing you scream, I'll be right back." Before I was out the door Gavin shouted.
"Hope you didn't waste any money on a new collar! Especially when you could have Twilight fix the old one!" I blushed realizing I hadn't thought of that. Gavin laughed when he saw I was blushing, a smile plastered on my face I just rolled my eyes and walked out the door. Besides for the initial shock I'm taking this quite well, it's probably because I WAS hoping for something this. Besides for the whole nature spirit thing. If it's possible for us to be actual friends now... Is it possible for... No... Everypony thinks thinks humans are just dumb sex toys. They would just think it odd to be in a relationship with one. I sighed. Where did I drop those saddle bags? I threw them off by accident when I spread my wings out from surprise. She had bought a collar that was suppose to mimic the pattern of a white hawks wings. She also had it made out of an elastic material this time. She started heading back once she found her saddle bags by the trunk of a tree that looked to be 3 to 5 years old. When I opened the door to my cottage my nose was filled with the smell of cooking pancakes. There was a plate in the middle of the table that had a stack of seven pancakes.
"That took you awhile Fluttershy." Gavin remarked as he flipped a pancake.
"I could uhm hear you from quite far away." I said as I set down the bags and brought out the new collar.
"Hmm that collar actually looks kinda nice, you know the only reason I wasn't really mad about having to wear a collar was because I could think of the collar as a necklace, that and it was pretty comfortable." He said it as a joke but I still felt the need to apologize. "Stop apologizing for every little thing, be more assertive." I laughed at that.
"That did not work last time I tried, I was a jerk to my friends." He gave me a questioning look. "Let's just say a lot of ponies were sent home crying." I said with finality. "Hey I have some questions to ask." I said my voice sounding uncertain when I tried to sound strong.
"Well if you want some strawberry pancakes you can ask them over breakfast." In just a few minutes I was sitting down with four pancakes on my plate and Gavin sitting across from me.
"So what ya want to ask?" Gavin asked getting right to business.
"Well first of all I just wanted to know. What's the extent of the technology you have on your world?"
"Well we can get into space with our machines, hell we even have a space station orbiting around our planet. Satellites too they take pictures and send signals to/of our planet from space every few minutes."
"That is amazing! Ok another question I wanted to ask is what was your life style like."
"Same life style as the average American, Go to work then come home and relax."
"American?"
"Oh that's what you would call people from the country of America."
"Did you have a special somepony?"
"W-what? Oh, oh yeah I did." Gavin looked sad answering that question. "Now I suppose I won't see her again... That doesn't matter I suppose though. I have a great friend like you!" Gavin perked up a bit after saying that last part. I feel bad for asking that question now.
"Well that's enough questions for now, since it appears you have no idea what's up with the nature spirit thing." I didn't pose it as a question but Gavin answered. "right." I finished off the last few bites and Gavin took my plate.
"Hey could we go for like a run or something? I swear if it wasn't for what you been feeding me I would be fat as a whale!" I thought for a moment but that was a pretty easy question to answer.
"Yeah that sounds like a good idea, and you are getting a bit pudgy." I poked his stomach and giggled. "Hey!" He said with fake offense before he himself was laughing. "This is why I like other creatures more than ponies, they are gentler I understand them better and they understand me better than other ponies. They are just all around better then ponies. Hay a lot of them are cuter then ponies in my opinion." I said the last part with a bit of a blush, and of course I was thinking of him when I said it.
"I like the landscape and plant life more than I like the animals, but the one animal group I love though is birds. More specifically I like mocking jays they sound beautiful." Gavin said as he opened the door for me.
"Oh wait, Gavin humans around town have to have a collar and leash. So let's try on the new collar and leash I got!" I put the collar on him and looked him over a bit. "I'm no Rarity but I think that collar goes well with the outfit." Gavin did not take even a moment to answer.
"Well I can't really see it but I'm sure it looks fine." Gavin said.
"Oh, I'll go get a mirror if you want." I started to go inside but Gavin stopped me.
"I'll take your word for it." He gave me a big toothy grin only to be rivaled by my sheepish grin as I tried to hide behind my mane. "Come on Fluttershy I'll race you to the edge of town." Laugh at me all you want but Gavin is a fast runner. I flew and he still beat me! Well I'm not the fastest flyer, but still! When I finished he was bent down, his hands on his knees, and he was breathing really hard.
"Are you okay Gavin?" He looked up to me and nodded.
"Just... need.... To catch... My... Breath." He said in between pants. After a little bit he was fine. "I probably shouldn't talk inside town, don't want everybody or as you would say everypony to freak out." I just nodded in agreement. "The only reason you didn't freak out was because you saw me turn from a white hawk into a raven. You probably did your freaking out while I was asleep." I nodded again and smiled sheepishly. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a streak of rainbow come into view. Oh no. I thought before the cyan pegasus crashed into me.
"How you doing Fluttershy? I haven't seen you in like three days!" Rainbow Dash had me pinned on my back.
"I've been f-fine R-rainbow Dash." I stuttered. Looking behind Rainbow Dash I could see Gavin struggling to not laugh.
"Couldn't help but notice you racing with your new human. How long did it take you to train him to race you?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I didn't train him *cough* I think his previous owner trained him, now can you please get off of me?" I climbed to my feet as Gavin walked over to me.
"Well does he do anything besides race? Maybe you've had "fun" with him?" Rainbow Dash air quoted fun and raised a suggestive eyebrow.
"No! No, th-that's just wrong Rainbow Dash!" Rainbow Dash shrugged and laughed a little bit when she saw me blush. Gavin was behind Rainbow Dash and he was blushing to, but he had a mischievous look in his eye's. He reached up and pulled Rainbow Dash's tail as she was about to fly away. I burst out laughing. Rainbow Dash looked at me
"Did you tell him to do this?!" She looked pissed as Gavin kept her from flying away.
"No." I managed to squeak as I gulped for air. Rainbow Dash stopped trying to fly away and just looked at Gavin as he let go of her tail.
"Hmm he looks like he was born for racing. Maybe you and him come over later and I'll see how fast he can go." Gavin walked back towards me and gave an almost imperceptible nod.
"Sure why not Dash, he seems to like racing." I smiled at Gavin
"That's great! I'm headed over to Twilight's right now so if I'm not at my cloud castle check there." With that she flew away leaving her signature rainbow trail.
"Well she's an interesting character." Gavin said as he watched her trail disappear. "Don't think I can beat her when she's flying but maybe when she's not foot... Hoof." He quickly corrected himself. We were walking through the market when Pinkie Pie showed up beside me.
"Ohhhh, you got a human Fluttershy?! Oh you should let let him play with Mrs.Cake She brings humans up to her room and when she's done the human always looks REALLY happy! they looks really tired afterwards too!" I just looked at her for a moment.
"Uh, Pinkie do you know what she does with them?" Pinkie shook her head.
"I assume she exercises with them! I mean like exercise is fun right?!" As Pinkie talked Gavin looked like he was thinking, when he realized what Mrs.Cake does with humans in her bedroom he had a look of terror in his eyes. He quickly fixed it though, hoping that nobody saw.
"Uhm no thanks Pinkie, I don't think Gavin would like that." I gave her an apologetic smile.
"Ah that's too bad, well I'll see around Fluttershy!" She bounced off repeating smile over and over again.
As we were leaving the market we heard somepony scream behind us. Me and Gavin turned to see ponies stampeding around us, and in the middle of the chaos a beast, it's skin was grey with a green tint, it looked like it was all skin and bone, it's hair was white and grey, its eyes were almost completely black accept for tiny red dots in the middle. Its fingernails looked like the were 3 inches long. A couple blocks away I could see all my friends coming out of Twilight's house.
I looked to my side and saw blinding light emit from Gavin's eyes, the light kept getting brighter until I couldn't look at him at all. Twilight and the others had just made it into the market when the light subsided to reveal the giant white hawk that was apparently meant to kill the beast in the market. By now almost everypony had left the market, the few stragglers were staring in awe at Gavin. He then released a deafening caw, this caught the attention of the beast who had cornered a small filly. The filly took that chance to escape. Gavin and the beast locked with each others eyes before Gavin took off straight into the sky.
After a minute or two he came crashing into the beast, the beast was launched into a nearby fruit stand, it didn't look fazed at all except for a long and wide cut on its chest. The beast got up and lunged at Gavin, he dodged most of the blow but still got a cut across his side that looked deeper then what he gave the beast. Gavin didn't care though, he took to the air again but not as if he was going to do another dive bomb. he looked as if he wanted to pin the beast to the ground this time. They both rushed towards each other, it would be left down to who had the most power. Or so it looked but Gavin moved to the side before they collided and grabbed the beast in his wing as he landed. The beast dug his nails into Gavin's skin leaving cuts and disheveled feather, Gavin appeared to have had enough because he decided to throw the creature up into the air. It looked as if it went almost a mile up before Gavin flew up after it, upon getting as high as the beast he flew just high enough to stand on the creature for a moment before kicking it as hard as he could back down to Equus.
The beast fell so fast that before it crashed it broke the sound barrier, but it did not create the beautiful rings of rainbow that Rainbow Dash creates. No, it created a ring of pure black, it looked as if it was sucking the light from the surrounding area. When it did crash there was an enormous amount of energy, that energy was released in a small explosion that destroyed the nearest cart. When the smoke cleared the beast was there in a mess of broken limbs. If I weren't so terrified of the thing I would think it funny as it flopped around trying to get at Gavin who was now at the edge of the tiny crater, Gavin must have decided to end the beast because he went into the crate and stood upon the beast keeping it still.
Blood was spewing from the wounds he'd gotten but he didn't care as he ended the beasts life. He reached his head down and dug into the beast's chest, letting it's black life's blood spew into the crater around it and into his face. I couldn't keep it in I turned around for a moment and emptied my strawberry pancakes onto the ground below me. When I looked back the beast had stopped moving and Gavin had pulled out what I was sure was the beast's heart and he had it in his beak. He tossed the heart into the air and let it fall down into his beak and down his throat. As soon as he hopped out of the crater his eyes went black and as the opposite of how he turned into the white hawk the light around him seemed to go into his eyes and soon there was a sphere of black around him.
When the light began to stream into the sphere again what I saw broke my heart. Gavin had smaller and less sever versions of the wounds he had gotten when he was the white hawk, but that's not what broke me. It was seeing Gavin on his knees sobbing into his hands, he was muttering to himself something I could not hear. I ran to him and sat beside him, he turned to me and hugged me, I returned the hug and as he cried into my shoulder I just kept telling him that it was alright that it was instinct and it was what he was supposed to do. I found that I was crying too when I saw my friends coming towards us. I know I shouldn't have but I yelled at them.
"Go away! Leave him alone!... Leave us alone. He's not a monster, freak of nature, he's my little guy." I cried out the last part.
"Fluttershy we know, we ju..." Twilight began but I interrupted her.
"Unless you want to help me carry him to my cottage, go away!" I added more bite to the sentence then I meant to.
Twilight sighed in defeat. "Ok Fluttershy... But my library is closer, we should take him there." I paused for a moment then released my own sigh
"You're right Twilight..." Applejack came up and got Gavin to wrap his until recently broken left arm around her neck. I got the other one around mine, he tried to stroke the edge of my mane as if to seek comfort, so of course I adjusted him so he could.
"Come on everypony let's go." Applejack said on the other side of Gavin. By the time we got to the library Gavin was only sniffling. Twilight opened the door for us and we adjusted Gavin so we would fit through the door without dropping him. We went upstairs in the living room so we could get him comfortable on the couch.
"Fluttershy how long has he been able to do...... that ?" Rainbow Dash asked, I answered truthfully.
"As far as either me or him know, only since last night." The sniffling on the couch had turned to soft snoring.
"Wait saying that we would assume he can..." I finished her sentence.
"Talk? Yeah he can talk." A moment passed before Twilight said.
"Hmph, I do not believe that for one second! Turn into a giant white hawk and protect you is one thing, but talking is another. I'll ask him right now, if he does not answer well then that settles it!" She moved to wake up Gavin on the couch, but I stopped her.
"No! Can't you see he's sleeping? Do you think that it is easy to transform into a creature and then return to normal in like 10 minutes? That would take a lot of energy from any creature." Twilight thought for a moment.
"Fine we'll wake him up in three hours, then we will get some answers!" I just sighed and went to the couch. I pointed at the couch and gave Twilight puppy dog eyes. She knew what I meant, she rolled her eyes and with her magic she expanded the couch outwards so I could sleep next to Gavin. he rolled over in his sleep and with one arm cuddled me like a teddy bear, with the other he stroked my mane. I sighed and drifted off to sleep.
Chapter 5: It Ends With A Kiss
I was in a room with a map on a table. There were three black needles in three different locations. One was sticking into a mountain with what looked like the city from the events of last night, one was in the forest next to Ponyville, one was on the city in the clouds. there was three blue needles that were popping in and out of different places on the map. Then there was one glowing brighter then the sun, this one was in Ponyville. I reached my hand out to touch it, or at least I tried to. My hands didn't want to move. This scared me a little bit, because that usually never means anything good. I wanted to look around the room, but my attention was forced to the table.
I watched in horror as blood red needles popped up on the map every few seconds. The rate they were popping up was steadily increasing, as it did I felt my heart begin to pump faster. I was beginning to panic when the needles stopped appearing. I was just beginning to calm down when the needles began to enclose on the one space that was left untouched, Ponyville! As the needles moved they shredded the map behind them, the three black and three blue needles grouped around the golden one. When the red needles reached the area in which the light encompassed they began to burn up. Though it looked as if the golden needle was losing energy, its light started to fade and its color began to dull. When the light faded completely the red needles pushed in and started to break down the black, and blue needles as they tried to the red ones away from the gold one. Ultimately they failed though, when they started to break the one which used to be golden but was now a light grey. I could feel it, cut's and bruises appeared on my body as I panicked trying to move but not being able to. My eyes began to bleed and I lost sight, I began to scream out my pain as my body was still being torn apart.
"Wake up sleepy head." A gentle voice next to me knocked me out of my dream. As my nerves began to work again I started to feel the fur under my arm, and the mane I gently stroked. Unfortunately my mind started working too and I started yelling unintelligible nonsense about what I saw in my dream. I also started squeezing the timid yellow pegasus in my arms, as if I was trying to keep my grip on reality.
"Gavin. GAVIN. GAVIN YOUR HURTING ME! " Fluttershy got louder as she repeated my name. The last time she said it snapped me out of my mental breakdown. I stopped squeezing her and I just stared at her for a moment, ashamed for hurting my friend.
"I'm sorry." Was the only thing I said. I feared that if I tried to say anymore I would start yelling again. My eyes started watering. Goddamn it Gavin! Look at yourself! Breaking down because of a dream! The thought didn't help, it only made me mad at myself. "I'm so, so sorry." After saying this I was pulled into a gentle hug from Fluttershy. Why? I hurt her and she tries to make me feel better?! God i must look pathetic. I only managed to make myself start crying again, the tears ran onto Fluttershy's head as she nuzzled my neck.
"It's ok little guy, I know you didn't mean to hurt me. You're just in a fragile state right now." All I could do to respond was nod my head. I wanted to confide in her what was wrong but every time I started too think about the dream I just had, it made me think about what I had done.
"I'm a murderer Fluttershy, how can I live with myself?" Fluttershy paused for a moment. She smiled when she came back from her thoughts.
"Because you did it to protect your friend." She said simply before she laid her head on my shoulders. I could feel my shoulder getting damp from her now flowing tears.
"But that wasn't even me, I wasn't in control! All I was doing was reacting on instinct, as if I were born to kill!" This entire time I had kept my eyes closed, fearing what I would see. I chanced a glance around me though, what I saw was a bunch of ponies shuffling their hooves awkwardly on the floor.
"Well what do you think that beast would have done to that filly if you hadn't got it's attention?" She asked me. My tears stopped falling, if only for a moment. As I thought of an answer. I sighed and broke her embrace. I looked right into her eyes and said.
"I'm better then that beast, because I had the intent of protecting. All that I could sense (and taste I added to myself) in his heart, was years of hatred and anger. He was only looking to cause as much pain to others." I choked back a sob. "As he felt. The pain I sensed from him! That is what I most regret, not trying to listen to his soul's cries for help." I wasn't trying to be poetic, his soul was crying for help and understanding. I just ignored it and added to its pain. I chanced another glance at the ponies around me and Fluttershy, most of them were shedding tears, Twilight and Applejack were still fighting back theirs.
"uhm, Fluttershy?" Twilight's voice sounded strained.
"Yes?" Fluttershy did not even try to sound strong she let all of her sorrow for me into her voice.
"The questions we were going to ask... Well... We won't force you to answer, we won't force you to stay, we just want to help you be happy right now. Is there anything we can do to help right now?" Fluttershy was about to answer but I beat her to it.
"We would like to be alone for awhile." Fluttershy nodded as she looked to her friends. Twilight could not hold back tears when she saw Fluttershy cry. She did a slight not of the head and gestured for her friends to follow her downstairs. When we were alone I didn't know what to say, I just wanted to be alone with her. The only gi... pony in this world who understood me even before Discord "Loosened my leash" as the saying goes. We just cried in each others shoulders for a while.
"You want to know why I broke down when I woke up?" Fluttershy nodded but then quickly added.
"You don't have to tell me if..." I cut her off.
"I want to, if I can't confide in you of all peop... ponies then I don't know who I can confide in." I then preceded to tell her all about the horrible dream I had. It was hard to retell it without starting to feel panic rise in my throat, but I did it non the less.
"That's... Horrible!" The concern evident in her voice. "But the dream does sound like it had purpose." I just gave her a confused look. During my story telling we had both managed to stop crying. "Well if this were just a normal nightmare Luna would have came, Luna is suppose to help people work through their nightmares. The only type of dream she's not allowed to enter is one of prophecy." I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Ugh! First legend now prophecies! What has my life come to?" Fluttershy gave me the stink eye for a moment. "Ok I'm glad I met you Fluttershy, but like everything else has become confusing!" Fluttershy giggled as I waved my arms in the air. "What?! It's not funny! Well ok, maybe a little funny." I couldn't help but let myself laugh. We sat there joking around for awhile cheering each other up. Eventually I was content to just sit there stroking Fluttershy's mane as she laid her head on my lap.
"Can we come back upstairs now!?" came Pinkie pie's voice.
"Yeah, we're happy now!" I shouted towards the staircase leading into the actual library. Twilight came up first with a first aid kit floating in front of her. Following her was Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity and then Rainbow Dash, in that order. They all looked at me and Fluttershy with their eyebrows raised suggestively. Well accept for Applejack. She looked at the others and yelled at them.
"Get yer minds out'a the gutter guys!" As soon as I realized what she meant my face turned a shade of red I didn't even know existed. Fluttershy however just giggled. What the hell? How can you laugh at what they are suggesting?! I sighed. Everyone accept Applejack gave a sheepish smile, Applejack just looked ashamed of the others immaturity. Twilight was the first to compose herself.
"Fluttershy I'm gonna need you to move So I can address uh.."
"Gavin's" I told her
"Gavin's wounds."
"That won't be too necessary, almost all my wounds are healed already. The only one left is the one on my side, but I'm pretty sure that's gonna scar." Twilight looked at me as if I was an alien.
"How could your wounds be gone already?!"
"He did have a broken arm yesterday Twilight." Fluttershy chimed in. Twilight mind looked like it was it was in high gear as she tried to process how I could have healed so fast.
"You know what? I've seen weirder thing's" Everybody nodded to that. "So I'm gonna ignore the fact that you healed so quickly, just like I've been ignoring the fact that you're talking." I couldn't help but laugh. Which made Twilight's left eye twitch. "And now you're laughing..." Fluttershy's face contorted as she tried not to laugh. "What's so funny?! This right here" She pointed to me. "Is not natural!" Her other friends behind her were starting to snicker. The stink eye given by Twilight was Hilarious.
"Twilight I don't see why you're thinking into it, the only thing that matters is. This. Is. AWESOME!" she flew into the air and hit her head on the roof when she said awesome. This sent the others over the edge and into a fit of laughter. Seriously it was as if someone had released laughing gas into the room. I composed myself and adjusted to be in a more comfortable position with Fluttershy's head on my lap.
"You two look pretty happy, did anything fun happen while we were downstairs?" said Rarity as the rest of the group finally walked the rest of the way upstairs. I face palmed as my face turned a new shade of red for the second time in like ten minutes. It only turned darker after Fluttershy said.
"Rarity! It's not even our third date yet!" She put a hoof to her mouth as she snickered. These girls are already getting comfortable laughing at my humiliation... Just like home I suppose I held my head in my hands for a moment. Have to say though, it was pretty funny. apparently Pinkie Pie thought Fluttershy was serious though.
"Oh really!? How long have you been dating?" Pinkie bounced around us. Fluttershy started to blush and act like her usual self as she answered.
"Oh uh, n-no Pinkie i-it was a joke." Pinkie's mane and tail deflated a little bit. How they did I have no idea, I just rolled along with it.
"AWW! You would be such a cute couple! I mean look at you two, you look so adorable the way you lay in his lap and let him stroke your mane, oh well if you don't want him I'll take him!" Pinkie Pie had somehow gotten behind me and was now wrapping her fore legs around my neck, successfully choking me until she was pried off me by Twilight using her magic. Yep I must be crazy if I'm just accepting the weirdness going on around me!
"No Fluttershy you should let me have him!" Rainbow was about to grab me but Twilight grabbed her by her wings. "Come on he would be a great racing buddy!"
"Don't you even try it you two!" Twilight caught Applejack and Rarity moving out of the corner of her eye.
"I wouldn't dream of just taking him darling, I was going to buy him!" Rarity crossed her fore legs indignantly and releasing a short "Hmph!"
"Got anything to say Applejack?" Applejack just shook her head feeling ashamed.
"Is it bad that I find it extremely undignifying that ponies are arguing over who gets to keep me?" I asked only partially joking. Fluttershy giggled and leaned into my chest when she said.
"Only slightly, because you're already my little guy." She wrapped her fore legs around me as she nuzzled my cheek. She was being so cute it was hard to sound serious when I said.
"I'll tell you the same thing I told Discord, I am not a pet." (I kept out the fuck part) She stopped nuzzling my cheek and leaned back and looked into my eyes, she gave me a teasing smile as she said.
"Who says I meant it like that?" My blush had used all of the shades of red it could, so it now took to start using purple. Or was that Pinkie grabbing my neck again? Twilight pulled Pinkie off me to let my blush turn red. Rainbow Dash let herself fall over backwards as she laughed at me. Even Fluttershy was laughing!
"Why is it the girls who always like to laugh at my expense?" I sighed and let myself fall onto my side bringing Fluttershy with me. The laughing pegasus clung to me as if I and not the couch would cushion the fall. ha. Couch cushion! Fluttershy tilted her head to look up at me. I decided it was time for me to do a little bit of joking. " So honey, can I get a peck on the cheek?!" I said this with a toothy grin going from ear to ear. Her ears went flat against her head as she began to stutter.
"Well I, uh, I."
"Yes darling why don't you? We all think it very obvious what you meant." Said Rarity quick to get in on the joke. Fluttershy was starting to blush and she was rubbing her hooves together.
"Yeah Fluttershy, maybe I'll have to steal that kiss." Rainbow dash started flying slowly and dramatically over to me with puckered lips. When she was no more than 2 inches to my cheek Fluttershy's hoof shot out and hit Rainbow Dash atop the head knocking her onto the couch next to me.
"Why so protective Fluttershy?" Pinkie Pie had laid her head atop of mine and looked very curious. "She was only going to kiss his cheek, see like this." She moved her head to be besides mine and turned to face me with puckered lips. As Rainbow Dash, Pinkie was struck down the moment she even tried to kiss my cheek, her eyes were swirling around in there sockets and you could literally see stars going around her head. I was really starting to enjoy the show, that was until Fluttershy started getting teary eyed. Then I felt like a jerk.
"Oh I'm sorry Fluttershy, it was just a joke." I started stroking her mane, that always seems to make her feel better.
"I know," She sighed. "the problem is when I started it... I was only partly joking." She looked up at me while hiding behind her mane. I knew what she meant the moment the words left her lips. How? I think she's adorable but... Is this really a possibility? I mean how would this work? My heart though was combating my mind for dominance. My mind was pointing out flaws while my heart was using the same (but powerful) argument over and over again. Love knows no boundaries. Eventually they settled for verbal warfare using Fluttershy as the battleground.
"I... What would other ponies think about it? On my world this would be taboo as fuck but, I guess my world's logic wouldn't really apply here." I gave her a nervous smile. Taking note of the others watching us with hopeful looks in their eyes. Accept for Applejack, she was muttering something. Probably that if this worked out she would have zero chance getting me into a pen with another human to breed.
"I don't know how they would think."
"Relationships with animals aren't that uncommon here actually, as long as its species is intelligent it's quite accepted." Said the all knowing book worm Twilight Sparkle.
"Well do you guys think this would be ok?" Fluttershy asked sounding hopeful. My mind was starting to lose ground as my heart marched on.
"I'm fine with it, it gives me a reason to throw a party!" came the answer of the ever hyper Pinkie pie.
"What ever makes you happy darling!" Practically squeaked the fashionista Rarity.
"I think he could make you 20 percent cooler, so yeah I'm fine with it." Approved Rainbow Dash. The answer from Applejack was slightly more hesitant to come. By that I mean Rarity had to kick her for her to finally answer with a meek "Yeah, yeah fine." Followed by something about breeding. With this final answer my mind succumbed to the possibility of being with Fluttershy.
"But aren't we the only one's who know he's intelligent?" Rainbow Dash pointed out. " I mean we can't just tell everypony, I mean by now the ponies who saw him change into a hawk are probably telling others about it. So they'll already be freaking out about that." Twilight looked as if she was thinking hard and long about something.
"You two could hide out for awhile, out of sight out of mind right? Of course they won't forget about it, but give them time and they'll realize that you aren't here to hurt anypony. When that happens then we can tell people about your intelligence." I thought about that for a little bit before I said that it sounded like a good plan. When I looked to Fluttershy she was staring at me with a wide grin. I returned her smile and pulled her close to me and began to scratch behind her ear. As I did she began to lean her head into my hand as if she was a dog, which looked completely adorable. She leaned into my chest and just rested there for a moment.
"Darling aren't you going to kiss him?" Asked Rarity, ruining a completely touching moment. Fluttershy didn't seem to care though, she stopped leaning on my chest and I tilted my head down towards her. She tilted her head to the side we both leaned into each others waiting lips, and we kissed.
Chapter 6: Slumber Party In A tree

After a while of small talk we decided we better get home before it's too dark. Everypony save Twilight was almost out the door when she stopped us.
"You know girls.... And Gavin, it's pretty late, you sure you want to head home in the dark? I mean you could stay the night like, you know. A slumber party!" Twilight was tapping her hooves together nervously and she had a sheepish grin. It would be a good opportunity to spend time with my friends after I've been cooped up the last few days. Without a second thought I answered.
"That sounds fun Twilight. I'm sure Gavin would like to stay the night to." Gavin who was currently right beside me nodded before he answered.
"It would be nice to get to really know Fluttershy's friends."
"Oh I would like to get to know you too Gavin." Pinkie said bouncing around as usual. There was a round of nodding from the other ponies accept for Applejack. She was still upset about the lost opportunity to breed Gavin on her farm. Just thinking about it sent shivers down my spine. "Come on Applejack, it'll be fun!" Applejack sighed and nodded her head. Twilight let out a squeak of delight.
"Yay! My first slumber party with ALL my friends! I'll go get sleeping bags from the basement!" In her excitement she forgot to actually open the door when she ran into it there was a loud thud. She quickly righted herself opened the door and ran into the basement screaming. "I'm ok!" Rainbow Dash flew into an alcove in the wall as she laughed.
"Oh I can tell tonight is gonna be fun!" She stretched out and laid flat on her back. I leaned to my right expecting to lean onto Gavin's leg, but instead I just found air. I looked around slightly worried until I found him looking through the books in the walls. He noticed me looking at him and smiled at me.
"You know a lot of these books seem to mimic books from my world, like this one." He pulled out a copy of Mare and the Manticore. "Looking at the description on the back it sounds a lot like Beauty and the Beast. I noticed that with a lot of other things to, everything in this world seems perfectly fit for human use." I found this kind of interesting.
"Can you think of any other examples?" I asked.
"Well for one you have forks, knives, and spoons. By the way how do you even hold things in your hooves?" He sounded as if it was a mystery. He closed the distance between us and then grabbed my hoof and examined the bottom of it. He then proceeded to poke the bottom of it. "The bottom of your hoof feels kind of like a suction cup... Interesting." The look on his face said he was trying very hard to process this... And he is still poking my hoof.
"Is th-that bad?" I asked worriedly. I didn't want anything about me to be bad in his eyes. I'm probably worrying too much. I told myself.
"No. No just interesting." He let go of my hoof and started looking through the books again. He found a book called Twilight and looked at it with disgust as he muttered something about sparkling vampires. I felt somepony poke my side. I looked to find Rarity was the one who poked me.
"Darling you must stop staring at him as if he is going to disappear the moment you look away. I mean really he loves you he won't leave you, at least not without an explanation as to why." I gave her a small smile.
"I know that, it's just hard to believe that he would actually feel that way about me." I said honestly.
"Well believe it darling as long as he lives he is going to be with you, and if he even tries to leave you I'll knock some sense into him!" That made me laugh.
"Now why would I need some sense knocked into me?" Gavin asked as he walked up to me and Rarity.
"Oh nothing darling, you probably won't have to worry your cute head about it." Rarity said as she snickered and waved a hoof dismissively. Gavin looked confused but shrugged his shoulders. "Now I say what is taking Twilight so long?" Rarity asked looking towards the basement door. As if to answer her question there was a loud thud on the basement door. I walked over and opened the door to see Twilight's laying on the stairs, and her eyes swirling in her head, and the sleeping bags were piled on the stairs behind her.
"Oh, are you ok Twilight?" I asked Twilight as I reached a hoof down to help her up. Rainbow Dash flew over my head and behind Twilight to pick up the sleeping bags. Twilight accepted my help to get up as Rainbow Dash brought the last sleeping bag upstairs.
"Thanks Fluttershy." Twilight said with a sheepish grin.
"No problem Twilight." The smile on my face was beaming kindness. As we went upstairs into the living room I found that everypony else was already setting up in their sleeping bags. Gavin caught sight of me and waved me over to him. He smiled at me as he said.
"Looks like your going to have to share a bag, Rainbow Dash only brought six up here. You know what's funny? These sleeping bags are perfect for humans too!" Behind me Rainbow Dash whispered something to Rarity in which Rarity replied saying that it was a good idea. Something tells me there were more than six sleeping bags on the stairway. Twilight was about to spoil those two's plan.
"But there were mo..." She was interrupted by a shush from Rainbow Dash and Rarity. I look of realization touched her face. "I'm sorry there were no more sleeping bags in the basement." She said as always being a bad liar. I decided to go along with it though, since I definitely would not mind sleeping in the same bag as my special some... one? Would it be someone? He is not a pony. *cough* Anyways I decided to joke a bit.
"Oh I wouldn't mind sharing a bag with somepony. Who want's to share a bag?" As soon as I asked Gavin cam up behind me, picked me up and brought me over to the couch were he had laid out a blue sleeping bag. "Am I really light or are you really strong?" I asked as he set me down atop the sleeping bag and kissed my cheek. I blushed a little bit as I giggled.
"Uh, a little bit of both. I wouldn't say I'm weak but I'm not that strong. Especially since I haven't exercise at all since I've been here." He chuckled after he said this. "This is a slumber PARTY so what are we going to do first?" Gavin asked. Pinkie Pie the party pony then shouted.
"Let's play truth or dare!" She was somehow able to get up the chimney and was now poking her head out of the bottom. Her mane was full of black dust. Nobody had a better idea of what to do so we all nodded in approval of the idea. "Ok. Ok I go first! Gavin, Truth or Dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to..." Pinkie pie contorted her face as she thought. "To lift up me and Rainbow Dash at the same time!" She crawled out of the chimney and shook the dust out of her coat and mane. Rainbow Dash got up and sighed heading towards Gavin. Pinkie Pie started heading for Gavin too, they stood at either side of him as he got up.
"Come on dude, I KNOW I don't way anymore then Fluttershy and you..." She cut off as Gavin picked the two of them up and put them on his shoulders. He started walking around with them like that as Pinkie Pie gave a prominent. "WEEE!" While she stretched her legs out behind and in front of her. Rainbow Dash just crossed her arms and muttered. "Show off." I was giggling as I watched them.
"Ok that's enough, now it's my turn." He set down the two ponies on his shoulder as he searched for his victim. "Hmm Rarity, Truth or Dare?"
"Oh a lady of my stature would never take a dare, so of course I choose truth." Gavin apparently already had a question in mind.
"Why did you want to buy me?" He asked with a teasing grin. He probably hoped the answer would be embarrassing, which it was.
"Well, I, uh..." Her cheeks were turning red. "uh... A woman has needs." Everypony snickered at this, even applejack. This only served to darken Rarity's blush. "Oh laugh all you want I know you ladies have at least thought about it!" I blushed and stopped snickering right away. Rarity saw me and said. "Why it's alright for you to think that way dear he is your special some.... one?... What?" Gavin blushed too now though he was laughing all the same, well no it was more like a nervous chuckle. As he sat down beside me he said.
"I don't know about your world but in my old world I would have been called her boyfriend, well if we were the same species. Like I said earlier, in my old world this would be considered wrong and immoral, and about what you said uhm, like Fluttershy said earlier not even the third date." I chuckled a bit at the last part. He wrapped one arm around me and squeezed for a moment. "Anyways, choose your victim Rarity."
"Well I already have someone in mind." She gave a sinister smile. "So Applejack, Truth or Dare?" Applejack gave her the stink eye.
"Dare"
"I dare you to... Ugh I was hoping you would say truth!" She thought for a few minutes. "Uh, Try to beat Gavin in a wrestling match?" She said in a more questioning tone then commanding. To make a short story shorter approximately six minutes later Applejack was pinned to the ground by Gavin.
"You dun got lucky!" Applejack retorted. Gavin got off her and held out his hand to help her up. Although begrudgingly she accepted his help. "Yer strong I'll give ya that. If you ever need some bits just come over to the farm, and I'll give ya some work to do." If you try anything I will find you Applejack and so help me, I'll make sure you regret the day you were born! Gavin raised a skeptical eye brow. "I assure you it's not what yer thinkin, it's just some manual labor." Gavin thought for a moment before he answered.
"I might take you up on that offer," I looked at him as if he was crazy. "if Fluttershy come's with me. I don't entirely trust you, to be honest." Ok he's not crazy. Applejack's tail flicked in agitation. So she did want to try something. Gavin either didn't notice or didn't know what it meant when a ponies tail flicked.
"That's fine." Applejack said with a barely noticeable undertone of anger. "Now then Gavin, let's get down to business. Truth er Dare?"
"Dare." Gavin's tone made it sound like a challenge. Applejack gave a triumphant smile.
"Good choice, because you have two options. Let a deadly spider crawl on your arm for ten minutes, or let me kick you in the balls as hard as I can." Gavin did not waste anytime before answering.
"I'll take the spider!" Applejack nodded as she went downstairs for a moment and came back holding a jar with a black widow in it. "Why did you bring a spider with you?" He asked before I could.
"Applejack and Rainbow Dash like to see who will freak out first having a spider crawl on them." Twilight said as she looked through a book about slumber parties. "I don't see anything about life threatening dares in here." She said after a moment.
"May I just say I hold the record of 27 minutes." Rainbow Dash bragged.
"Please if that beast from earlier barely made him flinch what a little spider gonna do to em?" Asked Applejack as she pressed the open part of the jar onto Gavin's arm. Gavin had a sour look on his face as he pulled up his shirt to show the scar to the right of his stomach. I flinched when I thought of how painful that must have been. "Oh it's just a scratch, it's fine !" The spider had tried to crawl off of Gavin's arm several times during the ten minutes, but Applejack kept it from leaving.
"That wasn't so bad, it kinda tickled as it crawled on me actually!" Gavin laughed as Applejack muttered. "I suppose we should try a new game now." Gavin said. I nodded my head in agreement. I really didn't want to take a chance getting chosen for Truth or Dare.
"We could give each other makeovers!" Rarity suggested, in a rather loud manner. It didn't seem like a bad idea. "I would love to see what I could do with your mane Fluttershy!" Until she said that... I don't like people messing with my mane. I have it as I like it, an I'd like to keep it that way.
"I'll have to skip on the makeover, well I do need a haircut. If one of you can find a haircut I'd like then go ahead. Otherwise, no way."
"Leave my mane alone, please. I like it as it is, but a mud mask would be nice."
"Oh I suppose." Soon everypony (save Gavin and Rarity) had mud masks on, even Rainbow Dash. Rarity was using magic to project 3D images of different haircuts she could give Gavin.
"That one looks nice." He said when she showed one that just simply had all the hair the same length, which was one inch.
"Are you sure darling?" Gavin just nodded. Rarity obviously disappointed in his choice sighed. "Oh fine. Take off your shirt we don't want to get it covered in hair." Gavin reluctantly took his shirt off. "Well you look nice darling, you don't have any muscle tone but you are definitely not fat. Wouldn't you say he looks nice Fluttershy?"
"Y-yeah I would." I sounded slightly embarrassed saying so. I don't know why, I've always been embarrassed talking about somepony looking nice or as some of my friends would say "Hot". I guess it's just apart of my generally shy attitude.
"Fluttershy must I keep telling you this? You are supposed to be proud if your..." She looked at Gavin trying to think of the word he used.
"Boyfriend." Gavin supplied
"You're supposed to be proud if your boyfriend looks handsome, or as somepony who is uncouth would say hot." Rarity began to start cutting Gavin's hair. She was going so carefully about it that it looked as if it was going to take at least an hour to do.
"Don't you have razors Rarity?" Rainbow Dash asked from atop the fire place.
"Sadly I don't, they're the one thing I forget to pack every time!" I laughed quietly. Rarity shushed me saying she needed absolute quiet to concentrate.
"How much longer before we need to take these mud masks off?" Rarity sighed as she stopped cutting Gavin's hair to answer my question.
"First of all, about 7 minutes. Second, can you please stop interrupting me? I need to focus!" Rarity continued to scold us for a minute before she was satisfied thinking we all had learned our lesson. Rarity stopped cutting Gavin's hair again and gave a puzzled look. "Twilight where is Spike, if he was here by now he would be trying to woo me." Gavin shot me a questioning look.
"Spike is a baby dragon. He has a crush on Rarity." I told Gavin who promptly started laughing. "Laugh all you want Gavin, when you see Spike try to woo her you'll think it's cute." After giving Gavin the stink eye he stopped laughing immediately and pretended to lock his mouth shut. I rolled my eyes at him. "You're a dork." I teased.
"No I'm a dork fish, and that means you're dork bait!" Even though the joke was cheesy it got me to laugh. "So where is this Spike and why am I not meeting him?" Gavin asked bemused.
"He should be staying the night with the crusaders." I got another puzzled look from Gavin.
"I'll tell you in the morning." I giggled at him as he shrugged his shoulders. We relaxed in silence (Besides for the snipping of scissors) until it was time to take off our mud masks. "Oh what time is it?" Rainbow Dash was blocking the clock above the fireplace. Rainbow Dash shifted so she herself could see the clock.
"It's 1:30." She said as she shifted back into her comfortable position.
"I think we should do one more thing before we go to sleep." Twilight said. I raised an eyebrow at her waiting for he to say what we should do. "I think we should use the fireplace for a bit of smore making." I thought for a moment before I nodded my head.
"That sounds nice, and delicious." I said with a smile touching my lips. Rarity was almost done cutting Gavin's hair.
"We can't start without Gavin darling, and he is going to have to shower in a moment, because I have... One... More... Snip!" She shouted with victory as she finished cutting his hair. "Now darling go take that shower to get the hair off you. It's upstairs second door to the left!"
Gavin headed upstairs with a melodramatic "Yes mom." as he rolled his eyes with a smirk. I couldn't help but giggle at his antics.
"It's nice to meet you Gavin's mom." Rainbow Dash joked. Rarity acted very cross as she went to her sleeping bag. "Anyways Twilight if you tell me were the pantry is I'll get the stuff for the smores."
"The pantry is to the left of the bottom of the basement stairway." When Twilight finished Rainbow Dash immediately bolted downstairs, it was only three minuted before she came back with graham crackers, chocolate, and jumbo marshmallows. She began to unpackage all the items but was stopped by Rarity.
"I told you we must wait for Gavin." Rainbow Dash just crossed her arms and muttered to herself.
"Where do you keep the towels?!" Gavin shouted from upstairs.
"They should be in the cabinet below the sink! Although I'm not sure if there are any in there at the moment, I put some in the dryer earlier!" Twilight looked at me for a minute, a kind of creepy smile spread across her face. "I think you may have to get him a towel Fluttershy." I blushed. Why do all my friends have to be perverts about this?!
"There ain't any towels up here!" Gavin shouted. My blush deepened into a tomato color.
"Darling I'm not shy." She paused for a moment to give a smile that rivaled Twilight's. "If you really are that nervous about seeing your boyfriend naked then I could give him the towel for you."
"No! I... I'll do it." Just close your eyes Fluttershy. I told myself as I headed upstairs with a towel folded under my wing. Coming to the door with steam coming out the crack at the bottom of it. I knocked on the door. I head the water stop hitting the base of the tub.
"Who is it?" He asked.
"Its m-me. I brought you a towel."
"Oh, thank you Fluttershy. Come on in." I closed my eyes as I opened the door. I tried my best to get around without opening my eyes but I ended up slipping on the wet floor. "Are you okay?" I felt one hand on my hoof and another on my side. I opened my eyes hoping to look into Gavin's eyes, but I got a completely different view. My wings unfurled and stiffened at my sides as I blushed. He looked at me in confusion for a few moments before realizing what that meant. "Oh..." He help me up as he blushed.
"I got you a towel." I said with half the volume of my usual voice as I hid behind my mane I stood up and grabbed the towel that landed on the floor when My wings unfurled. I handed it to him and left as fast as a pegasus could with stiff wings. Closing the door I waited for a few minutes for my wings to cooperate. Realizing they weren't going to anytime soon I just headed downstairs not caring if the others saw. Twilight was about to say something but I stopped her. "If you're going to say something mean or laugh at me stay quiet." She looked at me slightly disheartened.
"I was going to say that you look upset, but you shouldn't be. You love him you are supposed to think he looks... Attractive, you shouldn't be embarrassed that he aroused you." She put a consoling hoof on my shoulder.
"It's just really embarrassing that he realized what it meant... It's embarrassing to let him see just how much he affects me. I wish there was someway to keep someponies wings down when they get aroused."
"I could work on that! the number of times I've been around Soarin and... Nevermind." Rainbow Dash started blushing the moment she realized what she was saying. This served to make me laugh. I heard hoo... Foot steps coming down the stairs behind me. I got Twilight and Pinkie Pie to help me keep my wings down as Gavin came into view. Gavin bent down in front of me.
"If what I'm thinking is right, you shouldn't be embarrassed. I find it hard to believe that there aren't at least three pairs of wings um... Stiff in the middle of town at once. I mean, if it means what I think it means that is." I was glad that he didn't find it weird or anything. Why would he find it weird? I'm sure there was something similar in his world. How could he be so comfortable talking about it though? The last question I decided to ask aloud.
"How are you so comfortable talking about this?" he shrugged his shoulders before he answered.
"To be brutally honest, I'm a pervert." He said this as if it was as casual as choosing what type of ice cream you were going to have. It was the fact of how casually he said it though that made me laugh. Rarity was starting to tear the package of marshmallows open when she looked over at us.
"That's not something you should be proud of darling." Gavin just laughed at this.
"There's nothing bad about being a pervert, it is the thing that you do that's perverted that may or may not be bad. I was caught staring a lot." This I just found weird. Twilight who was to my right gave Gavin a skeptical look. Gavin held his hands up as if he were surrendering. "Hey I haven't been staring at any of you guys, ponies don't really have anything to stare at. Also Fluttershy would probably kick my butt if she caught me staring at another pony." He said the last part in a joking tone. Rainbow Dash was laughing and had to be careful not to fall off the fireplace. Rarity just smirked and went back to opening up everything for the smores.
"No I would just whack your head." I said with a smile. As my mind relaxed I felt my wings finally relax. I gently pushed Pinkie and Twilight away from my sides. "Twilight shouldn't you start the fire?" I asked. Twilight nodded as her horn lit up and sent a small purple fireball towards the fireplace.
"That is SO cool!" Gavin exclaimed as he watch the fireball traverse the room. "Screw pyrotechnics, I would rather have magic any day!"
"Pyro-what-nics?" Rainbow Dash asked. Everypony including me, gave Gavin a confused look.
"I can't give you a technical definition but, it basically has to do with fire and explosions. Those kinds of things." A big oohhh went around the room. "Well can't say I've ever roasted marshmallows over a magic fire." Gavin joked awhile later. I laid my head against Gavin's chest as he stroked my mane and ate a marshmallow. A question popped into my head as he said this. I lifted my head a bit and told Gavin to stop stroking my mane before I asked.
"Is there any magic in your world Gavin?"
"That's interesting really. I would answer you with a quote from my world. If you showed a caveman our technology, he would think it magic. If you showed modern man magic, he would think it technology. Take that as you will, but if you are talking hocus pocus. Then no." I thought about this for a moment.
"What's a caveman?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Humans used to be almost as stupid as the humans here, they lived in caves." Gavin answered.
"How long ago was that?"
"Thousands of years ago." Rainbow Dash looked astonished but satisfied with that answer. I leaned back into his chest the heat of the fire along with his body heat (Which I asked earlier he said that if he is healthy his body temperature should be between 96 and 98.) served to keep me warm, I sighed contently. I noticed Gavin's eyes getting heavy as he tried to fight off sleep.
"Are you tired?" I asked him rhetorically, he sleepily nodded his head. "Ok let's go to bed, goodnight girls." They all said goodnight before resuming their chatter. Gavin leaned onto me slightly, using me for support. I crawled into the bag before him and helped him as he got in. He wrapped his arms around me. "Goodnight, love you."
"Love you too." He said before kissing my cheek. I sighed as I snuggled into his arms and fell asleep.

Chapter 7: House Arrest And Crusaders

You can't complain about how you slept if you slept cuddling a soft, warm, and fluffy yellow pegasus. You can complain about what woke you up when you were cuddling a soft, warm, and fluffy pegasus. I was woke up by a orange NOT fluffy normal pony, normal in the sense that it had no wings or horn. I tried to ignore her, and for a while it worked. Then she decided to whack me with her sleeping bag. Whether she was trying to or not she hit Fluttershy.
"Ow!" She shrieked as she wormed her way deeper into the sleeping bag, only her face was showing when she was done. "W-why did you do that Applejack?" She asked timidly. I grabbed the sleeping bag she used to whack me and Fluttershy with and through it over Applejack's head.
"Sorry Fluttershy, I didn't notice you were RIGHT there. I was trying to wake Gavin up so he could wake you up, but he was being more stubborn than a raccoon with a bit." Applejack had a sheepish grin and was rubbing the back of her head with a hoof.
"You woke me up the first time, I just ignored you. Would you want to wake up if you were cuddling an adorable fluffy pegasus?" Fluttershy giggled when I said this.
"Well I suppose not, but you need to get up!"
"Why did you need to wake us up?" Fluttershy asked.
"We need to get you and Gavin out a here before sunrise, which is in about half an hour, so nopony will see ya." Now that I actually had a reason to be awake I looked around to see everyone up and taking care of things. Fluttershy wasn't so keen on getting up though.
"Couldn't Twilight just use a group teleportation spell?" Fluttershy raised an eyebrow at Applejack.
"Well I, uh, didn't think about that. I'll ask her." She proceeded to head for the stairs, where I presumed Twilight was. Fluttershy made her way back out of the sleeping bag and laid her head on my chest again.
"You think I'm gonna let anypony disturb our peaceful sleep?" She asked in a joking tone. I chuckled at this, I gently pulled Fluttershy closer to my face. She closed the rest of the distance and buried her face into my neck. I couldn't help but get a sniff of her mane that was in my face. It smelled of wild flowers after a storm. I began to run my hands along her sides. she sighed in content. I felt her muscles relax as she began to get sleepy. She began rub my belly.
"Why are you rubbing my belly?" I asked bewildered.
"To give you a hint." She said. I rolled my eyes at her.
"You really want your belly rubbed?" She nodded, I chuckled before I said. "Oh fine, turn onto your back." She did as I told, but rolling onto her back she rolled onto me. I didn't really mind though, these ponies are unexplainabely light. She tilted her head so she wouldn't hit my forehead with the back of her head. I wrapped my arms around her and rubbed her belly as her head lay next to mine. Fluttershy sighed as she said.
"This feels nice... Hey I don't know anything that I can do to you to make you happy, do you like any spots in particular to be scratched? Anything like that?" I just told her not to worry about it as I continued to rub her belly. "But I really want to know! Please." she looked at me as she put her hooves together as if she was begging. It would have worked better if she wasn't laying on top of me. Still I sighed as I said.
"Ok I'm the average male human of my world, I like my back scratched and I like massages. Also remember, not even the third date." She blushed a little bit when she realized what I meant. She laughed before she said.
"I'll remember the first two, the third one I'll try to forget!" I chuckled as I went back to rubbing her belly. "But I have a suggestion," I raised an eyebrow at her. " would a kiss make you happy?" For my answer I leaned in and pecked her cheek. As I was leaning back Fluttershy grabbed my head and made me lean back in for an actual kiss. For awhile we just laid there ignoring what was going on around us. I don't know when but I fell asleep, when I woke up I heard.
"Darling they look so adorable you can't wake them up!"
"Too late." I groaned. I opened my eyes to look at Rarity and Twilight looking down at me and Fluttershy. Fluttershy was of course still on top of me, and of course my arms were still around her. Fluttershy woke up slowly and rubbed her eyes with her hooves. She carefully rolled around on top of me so she wasn't laying on her back. She looked down at me and smiled.
"Sorry darling, Twilight is ready to teleport you to your cottage." I carefully moved Fluttershy off of me before I got up and stretched. It turns out I should have sat back down, in a flash of blinding light Twilight, Fluttershy, and I were going through some sort of tunnel. It kept getting smaller and smaller soon I was being contorted and squished against the other two. It felt as if I was being condensed into a tiny hole, being torn apart, and then put back together again at the other side of the universe. There was another flash of light, and we were then in Fluttershy's cottage. I was having troubles holding down last nights marshmallows.
"Ohh god! Do you ever get used to that?" I asked with a seriousness that did not suit me. Twilight simply nodded her head before she basically placed me under house arrest.
"Ok so you need to stay here for the rest of the week, or until news of you reaches Celestia. Whichever comes first, Fluttershy you can go out and about but try to be unnoticeable."
"Uhm, Twilight. I'm already very unnoticeable to other ponies."
"Oh no you're noticeable now, I mean you were with Gavin when he changed into a weird white hawk thing." Twilight pointed out.
"Oh, yeah, that makes sense. Don't worry Gavin I won't leave you alone to often. You would probably get bored." I nodded.
"Twilight." Twilight hmm'd in response. "I would be very grateful if you could bring a book to me tomorrow. Hitchhiker's Guide To Magic (If you get the reference you sir/madame are AWESOME! By the way another reference in...) it sounded very interesting. Twilight I have one question, is the answer to all (3) magic, potions, (2) and everything (1) 42?"
"I'll be glad to lend you the book but, uhm no. Where the hay did you hear that from?"
"Oh just something from Earth." I chuckled. Fluttershy looked at me completely bewildered for a moment. After a few more moments she asked.
"Is there... Anything else you need to tell us?"
"Uhm... Oh yeah! Rarity will stop by later, she made a sweater for Gavin since Fall is coming soon." With a flash of her horn Twilight was gone. My stomach growled very loudly, a few moments later I heard a small growl from Fluttershy.
"I guess were both hungry, do you have ingredients for muffins?" Fluttershy nodded as she poked her stomach as if she herself did not realize she was hungry. As I found everything for blueberry muffins Fluttershy fed Demon... I meant Angel. She eyed everything I was doing as if she was waiting for me to do something wrong. "Are you ok Fluttershy? I mean did the reference to my world really weird you out that much, or is something else wrong?" She took a moment before she answered.
"Nothing is really wrong, I've just been thinking about what your world must be like. No magic, instead from what I've heard you say. You have wondrous technology to do things for you. I mean if everybody in your world has access to this technology you would think you all to be fat." I thought for a moment of what I should and shouldn't tell her. She is so gentle and kind, I wouldn't want to scar her with stories of the violence in my world.
"Well a lot of people are fat and lazy, but it's not like everything is done for us. People still need to work to get stuff done, a lot of our technology just makes it easier to do work. Also not everybody has access to as much technology as others, some can't even get access to modern medicine. Technology I think has had more of a downside on my world then it has helped, pollution for example, global warming too. Fluttershy I hope you never get the chance to visit my world. I would stop thinking about it." When I finished Fluttershy had a pondering look on her face. I got the muffins into the oven before Fluttershy spoke.
"Is your world really that bad?" Fluttershy asked, I nodded in response. "Is that why you have been so calm about being here?" I thought for a moment.
"That's part of it I suppose. Back home I was always either really calm and collected, or crazy and hyper. So I wouldn't be surprised if this was just a long crazy dream, and I wouldn't be surprised if I just finally slipped and I actually did fall off the roof of that building. Either way I'm happy here nothing bad has happened to me since I arrived here, the local humans generally ignore me. There has only been one hint of of what Discord described as humans being used as sex toys so far. Really the only two bad things was breaking my arm on the fall into this world, and fighting that beast." I said. Fluttershy seemed very quiet for awhile, even after the muffins were done and we started eating she was silent. Did I give her that much to think about. I stared at her for a moment before I went back to eating my muffin. She must have reached some conclusion in her thoughts because she perked up in her seat before she said.
"So you either can't leave me, or you can leave but you can come back. If one of those is true." I nodded. "If neither of them are true, but you got a chance to go home but never return. Would you?" That gave me something to think about.
"Well I have friends in my world and my girlfriend, I was an only child with my mother raising me. She died last year. My world sucks and I don't have TOO much to return to." I continued to consider everything in my life at the moment before coming to a decision, although not a very final one. "I suppose it really depends on what happens to me here. If nothing too bad happens to me then hell yeah I'll stay, but if for some reason it gets too much for me to bear being here. Then I'd leave." I finished my muffin. I was going to take my plate to the sink when I was tackled into a hug from Fluttershy.
"I'll have to keep you happy then." She sounded calm. After a moment I returned the hug, I decided to try and lighten the mood since there was just too much seriousness for me to be comfortable. I picked her up and started heading towards the small bed to plop down and relax. "Oh this bed just won't do, you can sleep in bed with me. I mean really this bed is just so uncomfortable." She said this right when I plopped down. I groaned at her as I got up and started to head towards the stairs. "Oh no it will be fine for sitting." I raised an eyebrow at her before I laughed.
"I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable would I?" She rolled her eyes but let me keep carrying her none the less. I was half way up the stairs when I heard the front door slam open. I turned around to see a small baby dragon (I assumed this was Spike.) and three fillies. one was an orange pegasus, one was a white unicorn, and then there was a yellow normal pony with a bow in her hair. (I assumed these were the cutie mark crusaders seeing as Twilight said Spike was with them.) I had just gotten to the bottom of the steps when I heard the dragon shout.
"We'll save you Fluttershy!" Fluttershy flew out of my arms before the three fillies and dragon pounced on me.
"S-stop girls!" Fluttershy said timidly as they continued to hop on me as I fell to the floor. Although annoying it was pretty cute when the orange one started biting my foot. I'm so glad they don't have sharp teeth! After awhile I finally got bored of them and decided to surprise them, but not in a bad way. I grabbed the unicorn in my arms as she shouted I tossed her up in the air and caught her. I did this over and over again until the unicorn was laughing and shouting for me to toss her higher. Of course I didn't for fear of her head hitting the ceiling. The other two fillies and dragon stared at me with looks that said. "What the hell?!" The yellow one was the first to break out of her stupor.
"What the hay? Ok this human is obviously not a threat, so why was he carrying you?" I answered for Fluttershy deciding to surprise the fillies again. I know it was probably a bad decision but I wanted Celestia to hear about this. She could probably give me some answers I wanted.
"I was carrying her to bed of course!" I said with a laugh added to the end. The fillies fainted while Spike started to stutter on random words. The only word I caught was "W-what?"
"Oh Gavin did you have to scare the poor fillies?" I shook my head.
"No I was hoping to just surprise them. I didn't think they would faint, I would suggest placing them on the bed." I picked up the dragon and the pegasus while Fluttershy picked up the unicorn and normal pony. They woke up three times and the fainted four times before we got them to stay awake. After doing some explaining to the fillies the orange one asked.
"So this is the human that turned into a giant white hawk and killed that beast in the market place. Is it true that you ate the beast's heart?" I gulped before I nodded my head. Why did she have to remind me of that?!
"I would rather not talk about that, ok?" The fillies nodded instead of asking why, signifying that they understood why. I was about to say something when the unicorn spoke up.
"People around town have been talking about you, some think that Fluttershy just happened to be there some say that the you were with her. Apparently the latter would be the truth..." She was going to say more about it but the yellow put a hoof over her mouth.
"Sweetie Bell he said he don't wanna talk about it!... Anyways I think some introductions are in order! I am Applebloom sister of Applejack this here is Sweetie Bell sister of Rarity and this one who was bitin your foot is Scootaloo, she was adopted by Rainbow Dash a few months ago." She paused and looked at the other two before they put the fore legs around each others shoulders.
"And were the Cutie Mark Crusaders! Oh and the dragon that is still shocked is Spike." They started out together and then Applebloom introduced Spike. Who I think I may have broke. I bent over and tapped his shoulder, this knocked him out of it. He jumped back three feet as he started shouting, he was shouting so fast I couldn't hear a lick of what he said.
"Why was he carrying you to bed Fluttershy?" Sweetie Bell asked.
"Oh we were just messing around." Applebloom and Sweetie Bell's eyes widened while Scootaloo started snickering. "Oh no! Not that kind of messing around! You need to keep your minds out of the gutter! Where do you girls hear that kind of stuff anyway?" Scootaloo started whistling and looking anywhere but at Fluttershy and me. Fluttershy used a weird stare on Scootaloo and forced him to tell her where he heard it.
"I may have found some magazines under Appplejack's bed and showed them to Applebloom and Sweetie bell after I finished reading them." Fluttershy looked disappointingly at the Crusaders.
"I'm going to have to tell your sisters... And Rainbow Dash." Scootaloo started acting skittish at the mention of telling Rainbow Dash. "But for now, why are you girls here?" Scootaloo visibly relaxed.
"We wanted to see if we could stay here tonight! The clubhouse gets cold at night, we found that out the hard way. Don't worry we already asked our sisters!" Apploom answered. They knew I was here yet they said these fillies could stay? Wow. Fluttershy looked to me for a moment as if looking for an answer. I then figured out why she was looking at me for an answer.
"Well since Gavin is living here now if he finds that it's alright I suppose it won't be a problem at all." The three fillies looked to me with pleading eyes. I don't know if this world is starting to affect me or something but I swear I saw golden rings above there heads as they entered a begging position. Why must I be such a sucker for everything cute and/or adorable? I stretched out my words to sound kind of dramatic.
"Weeeelll I gueesss they can stay." I immediately was pounced upon by the three fillies as they shouted. "YAY!" At least I won't get bored. I looked at the clock to find that it was lunch time. "Have you little fillies had lunch?" They all shook there heads. "Well I made muffins earlier there should be enough to keep you satisfied until dinner."
"Wow he talks AND bakes, that's sweet!" Sweetie Bell Shouted this as she was hopping towards the muffins which were on the counter. "Hay he can turn into a hawk, what can't he do?!" She shouted as she grabbed a muffin off the tray using her magic.
"I can't go outside for the rest of the week." I said plainly as I got up and closed the front door that the crusaders left open.
"Why not?' Scootaloo was walking around looking around the cottage.
"So I don't cause" I paused to point at Spike who was starting to speak clearly but was still freaking out slightly. "that on a wide scale in town." Scootaloo tilted her head and shrugged a shoulder. "I have to stay here for the rest of the week or until Celestia finds out about me." Applebloom looked at me with an up raised eyebrow.
"What makes ya say she'll ever find out?" I couldn't help it. As the saying goes, face meet palm.
"I turned into a white hawk in the market place with at least seven ponies in the market place when I did, everypony else was running away from the beast. Oh did I mention I left a small crater? Yeah Celestia will hear about this." (Note what is about to happen is a joke I couldn't resist. It is not actually what is going on.)
Meanwhile in Canterlot castle, Celestia goes through her mail.
"three manitcores attack... Blah Blah Blah... Human in Ponyville turns into a giant white hawk? Junk mail." She then proceeds to throw it into her fireplace that currently has the ashes of 7 other letters that say the same thing.
Back in Fluttershy's cabin
"Oh... Yeah." Applebloom sounded as if she just heard she couldn't eat her Halloween candy until Christmas. That is to say, very disappointed. "What are you going t'do for fun til then?" Applebloom asked.
"Read, bake, and relax."
"That isn't fun at all!" Scootaloo exclaimed as she bounced onto my lap and accidentally landed on my balls.
"Oh... Fuck... Not the balls!" Scootaloo bounced off as me as I entered a fetal position. "I survive a fall from 45 stories high only getting a broken arm, and I kill some sort of beast only getting a few minor scratches and a scar. Yet I can't handle a filly jumping on my balls!" Applebloom and Sweetie Bell were laughing as if I was the funniest person alive. Scootaloo was standing next to me apologizing profusely. Fluttershy was helping me back up, after a few minutes Fluttershy asked me if I needed an ice pack. I replied by simply shaking my head.
"I'm so, so sorry!" Came Scootaloo's last apology, it was about ten minutes later and Fluttershy's head was on my lap as we sat on the bed. Sweetie Bell and Applebloom had stopped laughing and now sat quietly munching on their second muffins.
"It's fine kid, just be more careful next time." I chuckled more to keep her from apologizing again then because it was funny.
"Fluttershy you seem happy to be with him, why?" Sweetie Bell said/asked. For once I decided to keep my mouth shut and let Fluttershy explain it as I stroked her mane. While Scootaloo pretended to barf there was a series of awwws from the other two.
"I'm not much for the mushy stuff but if you break Fluttershy's heart then I will break you. Well I'll go easy on ya since I did kinda already... yeah." Scootaloo said with a nervous chuckle at the end. I just rolled my eye's at her and decided to pick her up in one hand. Again these ponies are unexplainably light. I placed Scootaloo atop my head.
"I promise I will do nothing to break her heart." I said humoring Scootaloo. She just released s small "HMPH!" atop of my head, which reminded me of Rarity accept that Scootaloo didn't turn her head back and up as Rarity does. Fluttershy just giggled as she leaned her head into my chest. This earned another awww from Sweetie bell. Scootaloo scooted forward on my head a little so she could bring her head down to look into my eyes. "Yes?" I asked a little annnoyed, I do not like people to be in my face.
"Is there any games you like to play?" She asked.
"Monopoly." I answered very plainly.
"You mean Marenopoly?" Fluttershy asked.
"You know how I told you a lot of things here are similar to that of my old world?"
"Yes." I raised an eyebrow at her and she gave a small "Oh." before she laid her head back down into my lap and gave a sheepish smile. I chuckled a bit.
"I don't like board games, but I do like making money. Can we make this interesting?" Scootaloo asked. the rest of us shouted at him.
"NO!"
"Alright, alright. You're gonna break my ear drums!" Sweetie Bell and Applebloom laughed. Fluttershy got up and went to a cabinet. Inside were a bunch of board games. I recognized what two of them were mimicking, one was Basilisk Trap the other was Marenopoly. She pulled down Marenopoly and set it on the table.
"Come on girls Marenopoly is fun!" Fluttershy said this with enthusiasm. Applebloom and Sweetie Bell bounced to the table while Scootaloo sighed and stayed atop my head as I walked over to the table. I took her off and whispered to her.
"I'll bet ya five bits I win." This made Scootaloo perk up a bit. I sat down and waited for the banker (Applebloom) to hand out the starting money.
No need for details, the game went on for four hours. I think I may have enjoyed making Fluttershy bankrupt a bit too much, but hey I won right? I'll just let her borrow some of the 5,423 doll... bits I have left! Scootaloo slid five bits over to me while I noticed Applebloom sliding 13 bits to Sweetie Bell. Fluttershy gave us all the stink eye.
"Did I not say that we weren't going to make this "interesting"?" Applebloom and Sweetie Bell grumbled something. I said.
"Come on the little one was begging me to!" I picked up scootaloo and held her in one arm as you would a barrel, I used my free hand to ruffle her mane. When she started to squirm around in my arm I set her down and chuckled.
"THAT was not cool man! It was kinda funny though." Scootaloo said this with a smile.
"You know girls, you came here on a good day. I plan to make chile for dinner." This sent cheers around the table, even from me! I love chile! I of course I helped her get the ingredients, sadly because ponies are herbivores there would be no meat. I had to remember to remind Fluttershy to tell me were those meat pills are. The little ones were outside running around with some of the animals, constantly being checked up on by me and Fluttershy. Once the chile was actually cooking and only needed to be checked every few minutes me and Fluttershy went out to play with the girls. We had a nice calm dinner when it was ready. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful.
The girls slept in the bed downstairs, which was apparently the guest bed. I took a shower before getting ready for bed. Of course I made sure there was towels before hand. It was very hot for being almost fall according to Twilight, so I slept without a shirt. Usually I would no matter how hot it was but Fluttershy said she liked the way I looked so I didn't feel uncomfortable with it.
"I love you." Said Fluttershy as she snuggled into me. She turned over onto her back and looked at me with pleading eyes, of course she wanted me to rub her belly. I of course, obliged.
"I love you too." I said as I kissed her before I went to sleep with her using my chest as a pillow. The were two awwws and one fake barf from the doorway. "Go to bed!" I shouted half joking.
"But we were having nightmares." Sweetie Bell said with puppy dog eyes. Damn it, I'm too weak to the cuteness! I thought as i waved them into the bed. "With you staying here I think we should stay here more often!" Sweetie Bell said this with a yawn. The other two nodded in agreement. I was basically in a blanket of fur as I fell asleep. Life is adorable. Was my last conscious thought.

Interlude: Harmony Celebration (4th of July)
Interlude: Harmony Celebration
"Hello everypony!" Celestia's voice was magnified by her magic over the masses of ponies. "And welcome, to the annual harmony celebration! Today it will be three years since any major conflict has occurred!" There was an approving roar that could be heard from me and Fluttershy's spot in a VIP viewing area. We were bedsides Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and of course Princess Twilight Sparkle.
"Gavin, Rainbow Dash, your going to have to go out there soon." Fluttershy said besides me. Me and Rainbow Dash were going to be flying with two ponies from a group known as the Wonderbolts, Rainbow Dash absolutely loves them. We will start out on a platform that's above Princess Celestia. There is a small part that juts out of the platform, there I would change into my spirit of nature. The white hawk. When I finish changing we'll do our routine and wow the crowd. I've been practicing with Rainbow Dash for the past couple of weeks.
"We will start the opening event, including Soarin and Spitfire of the Wonderbolts, element of loyalty Rainbow Dash, and the white hawk nature spirit Gavin shortly!" Luna's voice was the one to boom out this time.
"Good luck honey." Fluttershy hugged and kissed me before I left the VIP area to head for the platform. One I got there i was greeted by a Stallion by the name of Soarin.
"Sup bro! I heard you can break the sound barrier like Rainbow Dash! Well of course you can, or else you wouldn't have that oh so important part in the act!" Of course it was true, months of practicing to be able to control my hawk form I finally started working on my speed. Of course I was racing with Rainbow Dash when i first broke the barrier, I released a ring of pure white light. I simply nodded in reply to Soarin before I took my place on the platform. I spread my arms out wide. I bright spotlight hit each of the ponies besides and behind me. Only a faint one hit me as to not interfere too much with the light I emit when I change.
I heard the sharp whistle I had been waiting for. I started to change, the usual feeling of extreme calm enveloped me as I did. The audience ooohhhd and aaawwwd at the brilliant light surrounding me. as soon as the light surrounding me faded I unfolded my wings and took off flying low just above the head of the crowd. Rainbow Dash was behind me, Soarin and Spitfire were to my right and left. They all left behind there trails, Soarin and Spitfire left behind dust and lightning, Rainbow Dash left behind her signature rainbow trail. I of course didn't leave behind a trail, but I was going to make up for that in a moment.
All four of us turned up, Soaring and Spitfire were doing corkscrews as they went up. me and Rainbow Dash were going straight up and just paying attention to increasing our speed, when we were about quarter of a mile up the familiar cones formed around me and Rainbow Dash. I looked down at Rainbow Dash and she gave me a confident smile before we both put on a final burst of speed to break the barrier.
My ring of light and her ring of rainbows spread out around us, Rainbow Dash flew to the right as I flew to the left the other two flew straight back down. After a good couple hundred feet me and Rainbow Dash started flying along our rings to disperse them. When we passed by each other we high fived. (Or in my case I slapped my wing against her hoof being very careful not to disturb my flight.) This sent an uproar through the crowd. By the time we completely dispersed the rings the other two were flying just above the crowd doing random loopdy loops waiting for us to get into position for the next part of the routine. Which sadly I wasn't a major part of. The other three were going to use their trails to make Celestia's, Luna's, and Twilight's cutie marks. I would just be flying around them looking cool.
We did a few more things that weren't worth really mentioning. (Not because I wasn't apart of them. I was. I just found they were boring.) The last thing we did was that the other three were circling around me. The spotlights were circling around me too. The three others were waiting to catch me as I changed back into my human form. When I change I suck in all the light around me, so the direction of the light from the spot lights would change to floor into the dark sphere that surrounds me as I change. Everything went according to plan thankfully. Even though the others couldn't see me the turning of the lights indicated to where I was.
When I could see again I was back in my place on the platform. Everypony was cheering and clapping. The others behind me were bowing, so I suppose I should too. As I bowed I looked into the VIP area hoping to see Fluttershy's face beaming pride. She wasn't there, I got confused and stopped my bowing to look for her. I should have known. I thought when I saw the yellow blur speeding towards me. I braced for the impact, as Fluttershy crashed into me I couldn't help but smile and return the embrace that enveloped me.
Awhile later we were on a hill far from the noise of the palace holding the events. We lay on a blanket waiting for the fireworks to begin. I was absent mindlessly rubbing Fluttershy's belly. The others went to get drinks and said they'll be back when the fireworks begin. Which was in about half an hour.
"You know why I'm so glad that the are going to be gone awhile?" I hmm'd at her. "I bought three dates." She pulled out three date fruits from a nearby basket. I smiled when I knew what she was hinting at. This is going to be a great night.
for those of you who like this story and the relationship between Gavin and Fluttershy, yes I just had to tease you with Fluttershy and Gavin having sex in a chapter that does not even matter to the story! Love you guys/gals! Again happy fourth of July! Goodbye!!!!
Dream Logs: Control
I was walking in a meadow outside of what looked like a mansion, not a modern mansion no. One like you would see before we had electricity. There were no lights on in the mansion but occasionally I would see something dart by the windows. I wasn't really worried about it though, I was content just walking through the beautiful meadow enjoying the sun. It felt like I walked for miles upon miles leaving the mansion behind me, or so I thought. After awhile I came to the back of the mansion, unlike the front of the mansion whatever I saw wasn't darting window to window. No it was staring intently at me from a window five from the left on the third floor, what bugged me really is that it was one of the beasts that I'm supposed to kill. It's black eyes with only the red dot in the middle, it greenish grey skin, its grey and white hair. Well what hair it had, it was almost completely bald the hair it had reminded me of Homer from the Simpsons. It looked as if it was only skin and bode and it had horribly long fingernails.
It flashed a crooked smile at me and waved, I felt a hand grab me and nails dig into my skin. Oh fuck. I looked behind me and saw three of the fucking beasts heading towards me and then the one already grabbing me. I was waiting for the change to come over me but the sphere of light never surrounded me. The beast began to dig his nails into me, I had no choice right now but to try and break its grip on me and run. Which wasn't really easy since these things were stronger than anything or anyone/pony I have met. I decided to see if these things were still sensitive after the change they've undergone, luckily they did. After I kicked the thing in the balls it let go of me and dropped into a fetal position.
"Ohh that was cold Gavin." There came the voice responsible for me being here. I should have known. I stopped running for a moment to look around. "It's nice to see you Gavin, we haven't had a nice chat in awhile."
"Where the FUCK are you?!" He then appeared in front of me, and everywhere after that.
"I'm here, here, here. HAHA! I'm everywhere! Oh dear I would suggest you run." I looked behind me and the beasts were coming at me running as if there lives depended on it. I tried to change and the light that I emit when I do flickered for a moment before it died. I released a roar of anger. "Tsk, tsk, do you REALLY think that you can just change without the slightest bit of effort? Come on now Gavin you are better than this!" He said this as I kept running from the beasts, once I thought I out ran them I ended running into their backs. Every once and awhile I would try to change again, but every time I would fail. My heart was beating as it tried to keep up with how fast i was running to stay away from those beasts, that and the terror their gazes pierced into my heart. These beasts were something out of a nightmare of Discord's wildest dreams!
"Why can't I control the change Discord?!" I shouted at him as he flew above me drinking tea.
"Why because you never had control in the first place of course! The first time you changed you weren't even aware of it! The second time you changed you were reacting on instinct! Well instinct won't always work my friend." I felt my energy beginning to deplete as I ran. Those beasts were beginning to catch up as I slowed down. "You know I'm not letting you out of this dream until you defeat these beasts. If you die, well then you will just respawn as if you were in a video game!" I swore silently at him, even if this was a dream it felt very real. My heavy breathing, the grass beneath my feet. It all felt real, so I could only assume the pain would too.
Knowing what I've learned about Discord he has probably already given me some sort of clue. I feel that I have no more spare energy to run, if the beasts caught up to me then I would take the pain. I just had to figure out what Discord's clue was. He seemed quick to point out the first time I changed. So I set about organizing that day through my head. Trying very hard to think of what happened before I found myself flying over Equestria.
It turns out to be very hard to think when beasts are tearing you apart. Luckily I had a knack for not feeling as much pain as I should, either that or Discord just felt like being nice. Either way it hurt like Hell but it probably should have hurt like fuck. Discord being the disturbed fucker he is, laughed at my screams of agony. As Discord finished laughing he said.
"Well I suppose it's time to give you a better hint since you seem to be too dim witted to understand the one I've given already." I was taken away from the pain the beast were causing me and into the the guest bed of Fluttershy's cottage. What? I tried to say, though it only came as a thought. I couldn't move, well not myself I was moving. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I couldn't control my movement. Fluttershy was laying besides me, she was wearing one of those night mask things. I sat up, I felt calm. The feeling increased as I reached oover and petted Fluttershy. How calm I felt was almost unbelievable, my vision was beginning to fill with light. I had no idea how Fluttershy wasn't waking up even with the night mask. I felt my body begin to change now, and I heard the snap of my old collar as my neck became to thick for the collar to handle. That was all in the background, what I was really focusing on was the intense feeling of calm.
It hit me now, I'm a nature spirit. Nature is supposed to give people/ponies a feeling of calm and peace, if I am not calm I cannot truly connect to any nature that is around me. That is why Discord put me in a meadow, a place filled with nature, a place were people naturally feel calm.
"Good job! Now that you know this, the beasts are beginning to get bored tearing your body apart." What?! I was blasted back to my original dream with the feeling of intense pain. Every sense of calm I had before was vanquished. "Now come on Gavin, I,m sure these beasts can't keep you from being calm." Your voice is not helping! I got to work trying to let the surrounding nature calm me. Which was as hard as... Nevermind, as the beasts tore away at my body. Eventually I gave up and just lay there, of course this is when I finally stated to feel calm. When I finally started to hear the sounds of nature around me. I was trying to hard.
After awhile of just laying there the beasts stopped as they saw light start to emit from me. I was finally calm and collected enough to change into the form that was my nature spirit, the white hawk. After the beasts initial shock they realized what was happening inside the sphere of light. They lunged towards me but the light was like a solid wall. Protecting me from the darkness, and the pain, inside their hearts. When the wall dissipated I lunged for the closest beast, my open beak ended up around the beasts neck. For a moment I heard a voice in my head reconsider what I was about to do. I ignored it though and closed my beak taking off the beasts head.
The other three beasts roared in anger as I did. They all lunged at me at the same time, I knocked two of them back with a wing but the third latched around me. As I started to get angry I felt my control slipping. I have to stay calm! I bit the beats arms making him let go, he dropped to the ground and I held him down with one clawed foot. With the other I released my anger as I stomped down on his head splatting it into little pieces. The other two beasts got their heads knocked together. When they died Discord said.
"Good job Gavin!"He did a cheer that I didn't even bother to listen to as he wore a cheer leaders outfit. "Now don't think this is the last time I take you here. You are going to need training to be able to calm yourself in a moments notice. I think tomorrow night will work, tonight you get a break. Goodbye!" With a flash of white I woke up.

Chapter 8: Clubhouse Renovation/Review

You wanna know what I woke up to after that dream? I felt weird I couldn't really tell what position I was in, I was in that state of sleep and consciousness where you just can't really feel anything yet. I could make out the faint feeling of fur, I was hoping to be on my side having my face buried into Fluttershy's fur. Sadly when I was able to open my eyes I found that Sweetie Bell was atop my face. This sent enough of a shock through my brain so I would be completely awake. I hope she never farted last night. I just lay there though, I didn't want to disturb the filly. I moved my hand around searching for Fluttershy's mane.
Upon my search I accidentally grabbed some... Ponies tail, fortunately I didn't grab any higher then I did. If I had my hand would have been on their rump, and I don't think whoever's tail I grabbed would like that. After a few more moments and accidentally running my hand along Scootaloo's face I concluded that Fluttershy was up already. Apparently whoever's tail I grabbed was too.
"Now why the hay did ya grab my tail?" I tried to answer but my words were muffled by Sweetie Bell's fur. I pointed at Sweetie Bell hoping that Applebloom would get the message. Apparently she did. "Don't worry she's a heavy sleeper, one time me and my sister lead a group of stampeding cows right by her and she didn't even stir!" I carefully lifted her up and moved her to be atop my chest.
"I was looking for Fluttershy, I'm sorry I accidentally grabbed your tail. Think of it this way, a little be higher and my hand would have been on your rump, luckily that didn't happen. Because that would have been very awkward." I said imitating Pinkie Pie in the way that I said this all with one breath. Applebloom craned her neck and gave a weird expression that I couldn't quite tell what it meant, she turned back to me before she said.
"Fluttershy went downstairs to start making breakfast, by the way, you were sweating like you stepped into an oven. Did you have a nightmare?" There was concern in her voice when she asked. I simply shook my head in response, she raised a skeptical eyebrow at me. I mentally shrugged and went back to staring at the ceiling. After awhile I sighed and said something just to keep her from pestering me about it.
"It was an unsettling dream at most, but I have to say it gave me some insight." Applebloom shrugged as if she didn't know what I meant but was not going to press further questions. I would love to get up at this point but again, sweetie bell looked so comfortable. I was tempted to pet her like a puppy, I settled with myself for just placing a hand on her side and feeling the soft fur. Though it wasn't as soft as Fluttershy's, it felt more like that of the cat I had when I was hunger, it was an orange mackerel tabby and his name was Buddy. I was going through memories of the cat when I heard hoof steps coming upstairs.
"Oh good you're awake, can you help me wake up the other two?" Fluttersy asked this as she entered the room. Applebloom and I both nodded. An idea popped into my head instantly.
"Are either of these two ticklish?" I asked as I moved Sweetie Bell into my lap so I could sit up straight.
"They both are, their stomachs and hooves is where it's the easiest to get em laughin." Applebloom answered me as she walked over to Scootaloo. "Fluttershy can I borrow a feather?" Fluttershy nodded before she craned her neck so she could pluck a feather from her wings, she handed the feather to Applebloom.
"Does that not hurt at all?" I asked after thinking about it. I suspected it would feel like pulling out hair.
"No not really." She answered simply, I shrugged as I flipped Sweetie Bell towards she'd be lying on her back. I then got to work very lightly tapping my fingers across her belly as if they were the legs of a spider. After a bit of time I concluded that it would not work, so I went to just lightly dragging my finger tips across her belly. This worked perfectly, at first she was just mumbling and shifting around trying to ignore it. Very soon she was giggling, then laughing her flank off.
"Ok, ok! *haha* I'm awake! I give!" She screamed as I stopped tickling her. I had one more dastardly thing to do though, I picked her up from under her fore legs. After being about eye level with her chest I pulled her closer and gave her a raspberry. By now Scootaloo was awake and laughing as Sweetie Bell released her own breathless laughter. Fluttershy had a hoof covering her mouth as she tried not to giggle. Sweetie Bell was panting for air when I stopped. "That... Was... Not nice!" Now it was my turn to join in the laughter.
"I am glad it was Applebloom was the one to wake me up!" Scootaloo had scooted onto my lap to sit besides Sweetie Bell. Fluttershy released a fake sounding cough to get our attention.
"Children breakfast is waiting for you at the table downstairs."
"What about me?!"
"I said children, didn't I?" Fluttershy had a teasing smile on her face as realization of what she just said dawned on me.
"Haha." I said sarcastically as I tried to get up, but I was pushed down by three fillies. I looked down at them as I asked. "Is there a reason you won't let me get up?" They all nodded and pouted as Applebloom spoke up.
"Carry us?" ... why am I such a sucker for ponies? I thought this as I ducked so Scootaloo wouldn't get knocked off my head as I went through the door. Sweetie Bell and Applebloom were on my shoulders chatting to each other about some "crusade" they went on last week. Fluttershy said she made something she thought I would like, which upon seeing what she made I would have to say she was right. There were pancakes, eggs, and biscuits, I have had lots of pancakes since I was here so I didn't really care about them. What I was paying attention to was biscuits and the eggs, I love biscuits! Most people would be like whatever they're basically just weird shaped bread, but I am crazy for them. I bolted to sit at the table when I saw what was made, almost dropping the three fillies.
"I take it I was right?" She asked with a smile. My mouth was full so all i could do to reply was nod my head as the fillies bounced off me. Fluttershy sat next to me and started eating her own breakfast. "Good, you're going to eat up before you help the crusaders." I deadpanned as I looked at her and said.
"With what exactly?"
"We are making some additions to our clubhouse!" Scootaloo said through a mouthful of pancake.
"When did you decide that I would be helping them?"
"When you fell asleep, I thought it would be better then being cooped up in here for the rest of the week." Applebloom was the one to answer this time, I shrugged she was right.
"Where is your clubhouse, and how would we get there without getting seen?" I asked after a moments thought.
"It's on the edge of Sweet Apple Acres, and nopony will see ya if we take the long way around town." That plan sounded logical, plus it would actually have me working instead of staying here getting fat. I nodded before I said.
"Ok one thing first." Everypony raised their eyebrows at me. "Sweetie Bell would you care to tell me why you slept on my face?" Sweetie Bell looked at me with a sheepish grin.
"W-well me and Rarity's cat Opal always fall asleep on my face, I wanted to see what she found so comfortable. I didn't mean to actually fall asleep." I chuckled a little.
"That's alright, but if you haven't noticed my head is not shaped like a ponies, heck even spike's head would be more of an accurate representation... Where is Spike?" I had just realized we hadn't seen Spike this morning. Fluttershy looked at the clock as she thought.
"He left about an 45 minutes ago, he was muttering something about hallucinating." This struck me as odd, but considering how he was acting last night it didn't surprise me.

I was woke up before Celestia even rose the sun, somepony was knocking on my door. I forced myself to get out of the comfort of my bed. This better not be a game of knock, knock, ditch. I thought grumpily as I headed down the two flights of stairs to get to the actual library portion of my home.
"Coming!" I shouted as there was a second round of knocking from behind the door, when I opened the door I found Spike standing there with bags under his eyes.
"Twilight, I think I'm hallucinating."
"Why?"
"Well I went to Fluttershy's cottage and" That's all I needed to hear to guess what the rest of his sentence was going to be. "well Fluttershy was being carried up the stairs by a human, after we had attacked him he took Sweetie bell and tossed her in the air and caught her. He kept doing that for awhile, after Applebloom asked what the hay was going on the human talked!" Yep something about Gavin, even though I knew basically what he was going to say I couldn't help but laugh. "What's so funny?!"
"That wasn't a hallucination, that was just Gavin!" I said this in between two bursts of laughter.
"But, but, but how?!"
"Don't worry about it Spike, not EVERYTHING needs a logical explanation." Spike looked at me and deadpanned.
"This coming from Twilight Sparkle, who freaked out about Pinkie's little signs into the near future?" I glared daggers at him as he stepped inside and went upstairs.

"Applejack isn't going to be showing up while I'm there, will she?" I asked as we walked, according to Applebloom we were almost to there clubhouse. I had asked Fluttershy if she could come but she said she has chores to do around the cottage. Ahead I could see acres upon acres of apple trees, I wondered how much work it would take to harvest all of these.
"Not for long, she's out bucking trees. She might stop by later to check in on us." We had reached the first apple tree and a bit in the distance I could in fact see a tree house, it looked better then the one I made when I was young, well besides for the girly paint/decoration. Me and three of my friends would always hang out in the tree house I made, two of them were guys the other one was a girl. Her name was Stephanie, she would later become my girlfriend. We were together for 5 years, then I was sent to Equestria. My mind floated in thoughts of my past, it stopped on the little black box in my apartment that held a ring meant for Stephanie.
That last thought brought a single tear to my eye, I quickly wiped it away before the others could see. I relished in those thoughts of my old tree house the rest of the way to the Crusaders club house. I was brought back to reality when Scootaloo tugged on my pant leg trying to get my attention. It took me a few minutes to even respond to the constant tugging, I finally looked down at the orange filly as she said.
"Are you okay Gavin? You spaced out on us, and you have a weird smile." Her usually playful or teasing tone was replaced by one of concern. Ignoring that she said my smile was weird I said.
"Yeah, looking at your club house reminds me of some old friends." The three fillies smiled at me, awws came from Applebloom and Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo smiled and instead of awwing she said.
"Never forget your friends dude, they're what inspire you to be you." That was strangely the least tom boy like thing I could imagine Scootaloo saying. I was about to say "I won't" but Applebloom decided to speak up.
"Ahh that was sweet Scootaloo, I think that could be considered as poetry!" Scootaloo's face went from orange to red.
"Oh shut up! I can be soft sometimes, preferably only once a day." This made the other two laugh, I looked at her as a smile spread across my face.
Before long I'm testing the ramp to see if it would hold my weight, because obviously it was not built thinking about a human's weight. Surprisingly though it held my weight, a little creak here and there but all in all it was pretty stable. As I looked inside the clubhouse I could see various diagrams spread across the room, they seemed to be depicting the clubhouse accept there were three more rooms. Two to the right and left, each held up by support beams connecting to the ground. The third was on a second floor, the railing that went all the way around the house now only went to the walls behind them were the new rooms making it look like a normal porch.
"How long are you borrowing me for?!" I asked as I looked at all we had to do, it looked like this was going to take at least a week and Celestia would probably find me by then.
"Well usually a quick montage will get anything done in at most two hours." I Blinked at Sweetie bell processing that. A montage? Are you kidding me?!
"You mean like... In a TV show or movie?" They gave me confused expressions.
"What's a TV?" Oh right, I forgot their whole technological situation was behind that of Earth's.
"Do you have movies?" They nodded. "Well it's kinda like that accept you wouldn't watch it at a movie theater and it wouldn't be on a large screen, it would be on a small screen in your home and you could watch it anytime you want." They each gave an ohh as they walked into the club house, which taking a second glance around there were red dotted marks here and there, even on the ceiling. They looked as if they were marking where they were going to take out the wall, which is probably what they're for.
"Ok then kind of like a TV show." Sweetie Bell said with a smile touching her lips. Applebloom looked around for a moment then she jumped as if she just realized she forgot something.
"Ok girls and Gavin I'll be right back, just have ta get the tools from the shed." She said before she ran out the door, this left an uncomfortable silence among me and the two fillies still here until she came back. She came back with Applejack in tow, ugh they each had saddlebags filled with various tools. Hammers, screwdrivers, saws, and pretty much any tool you could need for building a tree house.
"Howdy there Gavin, if you worked for me you would have been paid." Applejack said this dryly. I shrugged although really I wanted to roll my eyes at her. I really do not like that pony. She sat down her saddlebags in a corner of the room where Applebloom had set hers moments before. "So girls how did you get Gavin ta agree to help ya?"
"Well Fluttershy kinda dropped it on him, he didn't Question it much." Scootaloo answered. Applejack Hmmd as she looked me over, something sounded odd about that hmm. The look in her eyes looked as if she was scheming. I didn't get much time to think about what she might be planning before she dumped the tools out of her saddle bag.
"Well I got to get back to tree bucking, I'll check in on you gals later." She said this before she walked out the door. In my head I was thinking about possible punishments for murder or ponynapping. Silently chuckling to myself I turned my attention to the blue prints that were floating in front of me, surrounded by a green aura. I reached out and yanked the the blue print out of the aura, when I did Sweetie Bell released a loud yelp.
"What's wrong Sweetie Bell?" I asked wondering what had surprised or hurt her.
"That hurt!" She said as she rubbed her horn.
"What hurt?" I asked being slightly confused.
"You yanked the blue prints right out of my magic!" I was now completely and utterly confused.
"So it hurts to have something forcibly taken from your magic?" I asked my confusion turning into curiosity. She simply nods after a quick sigh, I take it that the pain in, I'm guessing, her horn has left. Sweetie Bell looked at me expectantly, she wants me to apologize doesn't she? I give a little sigh. "Ok, I'm sorry I did not realize it would cause you pain to take the blueprints out of your magic." I say this in a semi sarcastic tone. The other two fillies were looking at us like we were the weirdest things they ever saw.
"Anyways... We got work ta do girls, and I would like to be done with at least one room before lunch." Applebloom broke the silence that had settled for about 3 minutes. I went over to the saddle bags that were full of tools and started pulling them out. Most of the tools looked just as you would expect them to, yet others looked familiar but more equipped for hooves then hands. Which actually looked quite interesting, what I assumed to be a one handed saw. (shush IDK the actually name for it!) Instead of the usual handle, it looked like a small plate where a pony would put their hoof. I assumed that, because of how Fluttershy's hoof felt kind of like a suction cup, that the pony would just put their hoof on it and it would stick, again like a suction cup.
"Where do we start?" I ask after I chose to wield a hammer and nails.
"Well after Sweetie Bell She pauses for a moment and points to Sweetie Bell. is done preparing her spell, we are going to take out the walls, and ceiling, where there are the red dotted lines." She confirmed what I thought earlier.
"Ready!" Sweetie Bell shouted before she released the magic that was building up in her horn, the magic flowed out like a bubble. Looking out the window I saw that the bubble expanded several yards from the clubhouse. I don't know how hard it was to perform magic in this world, but it looked like it would be hard to keep a constant flow of magic for this bubble. There were no saws that had actual handles so I couldn't help with this part of construction, so I went to sit down where I would be out of the way. Doing this I freaked myself out, I mean, I was going faster than any human should! What the hell?! Was this the spell? I couldn't even see my hand waving it in front of my face, looking up at the girls they were doing their work at super fast speeds.
(Insert large amounts of small talk as they build the clubhouse.)
I always wondered what it would be like to be IN a montage, and by that I mean... Ugh, never mind you probably get what I mean. Anyways... It was really weird, there were moments, like, if I was running fast enough my body would be blurred. Again, anyways, we had gotten one and roughly a half of the rooms finished. We were currently taking a break to eat as we worked past lunch time, it was currently nearing 2:00 P.M.. Applejack had stopped by again to drop off some apple pie, she ignored me as she chatted with the other before she left. Now I may not like Applejack but this pie was, and I'm Atheist mind you, heavenly!
"If I get the chance to go home, and take it, remind me to get a few of these from you before I leave!" I said this as I finished off my pie. Even with how active the ponies are around here, I have no idea how they eat entire pies themselves without gaining the slightest bit of weight. I have questioned Fluttershy on a ponies eating habits, according to her ponies do eat a lot of sweats. I also learned that all adults have jobs, and even some children.
"Sure will, nopony should have to go without a good apple pie for more than a week!" Applejack said this in a good humored tone. I couldn't say my smile could compare to Pinkie's, but it was big none the less. This was one of those calm moments were you just tend to reflect on something. I decided to reflect on the time I've had in Equestria, I think it's been a week. Ok, let's start from the beginning.
When I first came here I broke my arm when I crashed through the roof of the zebra's hut. Fluttershy 'adopted' me, I flinched at the amount of times she accidentally hurt my broken arm, though it had healed inexplicably quick. Then there was the collar, the general idea of wearing the collar was annoying. The collar though, was not that uncomfortable, though I wish it wasn't as girly as it is. The new collar is much better, a bit degrading I would have to admit. The only reason I did not voice my complaints the moment the collar was put on me, was the thoughts of what Discord could do to me if I did anything against his wishes. By the way he was acting when Fluttershy did find out, he wanted to hide my intelligence MUCH much longer.
Thinking about my collar brought the thoughts to my clothes, getting them was a bit of an experience. An embarrassing experience, walking through a town of ponies naked as they stare at you as if they expected you to go rapid at any moment. Though the ponies with humans didn't pay much attention to us, I wish I could say the same for the humans as well. Of course I ignored there growls at me for the most part, but some of them acted quiet strangely towards me. I'm not just talking about the humans that stopped to sniff me. Though that is pretty weird. No, they seem especially angered towards me, at the time I just dismissed it as me being a human they weren't used to.
Then there was that night, the night I THOUGHT was a dream. I had turned into a hawk and flew to a palace and caught a conversation between two ponies, one being princess Celestia, the other being Luna. When they noticed me Celestia started talking about a prophecy/legend/thing. Then there was the day that the beast appeared in the market, and the secret was basically ruined. Then that night was almost weird enough to match, but something in the back of my mind told me it was right though. Not to mention that something being even stronger in my heart, that night Fluttershy admitted she liked me. I may have refused if Twilight hadn't brought a bit of logic into the situation.
Apparently it was normal for people/ponies/whatever to have relationships with different species as long as they were intelligent. Since I was in their world, logic from mine may as well be thrown away, right? Later that night I was also told that it was normal for a pony to be sexually attracted to humans, just not emotionally. (If you know what I mean.) Again I was brought out of my thoughts by a tug, though it was on my arm this time.
"You okay sugarcube?" Applejack asked as I looked towards her...
"HOLY FUCK!" I screamed as I jumped several feet away from her, my mind had just caught up to the present, it was one of those things when your looking at the scariest thing ever, but your mind hasn't processed it yet. I clenched my fist to my heart, my mind just process that her face was right in front of mine, so it felt like she just appeared out of nowhere. My heart, for one, did not like this surprise.
Of course my out burst surprised the pony and she also jumped back, though not as far as I did. "Dangit sugarcube, don't scare me like that!" She scolded, she got up and after a little bit her expression changed from one of shock, to one of concern. Is she really concerned about me?! Until now the only look's I have gotten from her where, lust, annoyance, impressed, (When I beat her at wrestling.) occasionally hatred, in that order, from most to least common.
"Gavin that is the second time you have spaced out today, and I don't want to have to be soft again!" Scootaloo half joked. I rolled my eyes at her, though I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. My thought were starting to turn into a jumbled mess of alphabet stew, you have every letter but T and the rest are out of order. I let out a deep sigh.
"Can we finish tomorrow? I would like to go home and take a VERY long nap. Preferably cuddling a sleeping Fluttershy." I started heading for the door, the three fillies following close behind. I was starting to feel a drain of energy, along with it came a sense of being watched. I ignored the rising dread, I was ignoring basically everything.
"Can I come with ya'll? I need to talk ta Fluttershy?" I let out another sigh before I replied to Applejack.
"Fine, just don't talk to me. I need to stay inside my metaphorical thought bubble for a moment."
When we reached the cottage I only managed a depressed sounding 'Hi' when I passed Fluttershy. I didn't even pay attention to what Applejack and Fluttershy were talking about, I just headed upstairs to bed. I wasn't even tired, hell it was barely 3:00, but something in the back of my mind was nagging at me to sleep and prepare for tomorrow...
