Crashed (Being rewritten)
Chapter 3
Previous ChapterAccompanying the growl were wingbeats. I twisted my head around to look at what it was. It looked like a dragon from mythology. It was easily bigger than the pelican by at least three times. It's scales were a rust color, it's eyes were slitted with purple iris's. I scrambled towards the biggest ledge I could. Based off what I know of dragons, it was probably carnivorous, meaning that it would likely try to eat me, but dragons aren't real. Right? Once I was on the ledge, I turned to face the dragon thing, which had started snickering.
What the fuck? I thought, surprised. I grabbed my battle rifle from my back and aimed. The lizard dragon thing seemed to look like it would be raising one of its eyebrows.
"What are you doing on my mountain?" It asked. I barely stopped myself from pulling the trigger. Of all the planets I could have crashed on, it HAD to be one with intelligent dragon things. I have no idea how strong this thing might be, and whether or not its scales were bulletproof. So I did what any sane spartan would do, and there are few of those.
"What the hell are you?" I asked, almost hesitantly. It looked surprised when I asked that. Before it started laughing.
"You almost had me there. Pretending to not know what a dragon is. But really, why are you on MY mountain?" It asked, more impatient than anything. Well my question was answered. I would rather not fight a dragon, because killing one, or severely injuring it, would probably attract unwanted attention.
"I don't know where I am, so I'm using the mountain to gain information on the landscape to figure it out," I said. The dragon seemed to think about it for a few minutes.
"Any funny business, and you die," It replied. Despite being a Spartan, I had no trouble believing that, so I nodded. It backed off a bit, but kept an eye on me. I turned around and continued to scale the mountain. It wasn't too long before I got to the top. I started to record my surroundings with my helmet cam so I could analyze it later. When I finished, I slid down the mountain. About halfway down I hit a ledge, making me stumble down the rest of the mountain like an idiot. It felt like forever before I reached the bottom, with my shields depleted. I could almost swear the universe was laughing at me.
I slowly stood back up, disoriented. Shaking my head, I regained my bearings. I was where I first started climbing the mountain, oddly enough. I started for the direction of my crashed pelican. I passed by the creepy area with the statues. I saw a chicken sticking its head of a bush, watching me pass, with curiosity, yet malice. Other than that and some glowing eyes that resembled the ones the wooden wolves had watching me, the trip back to the pelican was uneventful.
I opened the pelicans bay door and went inside, and then closing it. I had just brought up the footage of the landscape when I heard what seemed to be something speaking. I closed the footage, then activated my promethean vision to see what it was. Strangely enough, all I saw were small horses surrounding the pelican. I turned off the promethean vision, drew my Battle rifle, pressed the button to open the bay door, and took cover behind a small crate. I heard a few startled gasps, confusing me.
"S-Show yourself!" I heard a male voice speak, and I assumed it was one of the horses, since they were the only things nearby other than trees. I peeked over my relatively tiny cover, and I saw them somehow holding spears, pointed at the entrance of the pelican. They didn't look very dangerous, and they definitely weren't Covenant. I cautiously rose, aiming my Battle rifle at them. Only then did I notice they all looked EXACTLY the same.
"What are you?" One spoke, this one female, and I looked to her.
"Your worst nightmare," I said, smirking. They tensed. "I'm just fucking with you. I'm actually a human. I could ask you the same question, because normal horses don't speak, or carry weapons and armor."
"Are you an alien?" Another one asked. If they saw me and my pelican fall from space, then why wouldn't I be an alien?
"Well, you see, to me, YOUR the aliens," I said, slightly lowering my weapon.
"You are coming with us, back to Canterlot," This one must be the squad leader. He also looked looked a little different then the other ones.
"I think i'll pass," I replied. My answer didn't please him.
"You don't have a choice in the matter," The leader snapped. I chuckled.
"What are you gonna do? Poke me with those sticks? I could snap them like twigs," I taunted. Now he looked pissed. He shot a beam of something from an appendage sticking out from his head, damaging my shields a little. He looked surprised. I was confused, but on instinct I aimed my weapon, but didn't shoot. I didn't wan't to make the same impression the Covenant had on us. "What the hell was that?" His horn thing glowed, and then shot another beam, this one shattering my shields and striking painlessly against me. I was once again, confused, but then I started feeling strangely tired, and after a few seconds, my vision faded away to darkness.
