Chapter 1 - Miss Pie

Pinkamena opened her eyes- yes, HER eyes- to a whole new world. A world with light and color, which was quite an upgrade from the depths of Pinkie's subconscious. Oh, Pinkie.... She thought angrily. How she loathed that awful, pathetic excuse for a living creature. I should have been the dominant one. Not her, ME! Pinkamena's head was a whirlwind of emotions, but she realized she needed to pull herself together. She glanced around at her surroundings, and realized she recognized this place from Pinkie's memories. It was her sleeping quarters, if you could call it that. It was more like a mad scientist's evil lair, which it more or less was. Pinkamena shuddered at the memories of what went on here. She felt everything Pinkie felt, and so much pain had been endured here, due to those tests that didn't quite go as planned.

Pinkamena decided she needed to get out of that infernal room, and get some fresh air. Now that was something she had never experienced. She only knew of it through Pinkie's memories and recalled that her counterpart had viewed it as a pleasant experience. She opened the bedroom door, and it loudly creaked on its hinges. Pinkamena slowly walked down the hallway, taking note of all the pictures hung up on the walls. They were of the Cakes, and in each and every one they all looked happy. And it disgusted Pinkamena. It enraged her. It made her furious that these incompetent fools got to experience such pleasantness when all Pinkamena got was the dark the cold. Nevertheless, she walked on, pushing aside those feelings for a later point in time.

As she trotted down the stairs, she saw her reflection in a small mirror hanging on the wall. While she could be mistaken for Pinkie's identical twin, they still had their differences. Pinkamena's mane, tail, and coat were a slightly darker shade of pink, and her mane and tail were completely straight, compared to Pinkie's huge curls. The strangest thing though, was that Pinkamena's eyes were green, when Pinkie's were blue. This is especially odd because they both share a body. Finally, she reached the bottom of the stairs and entered the kitchen, there, she saw an orange stallion putting a tray of globs of cookie dough in the oven. Pinkamena recognized this pony. It was Mr. Cake, Pinkie's employer. He suddenly noticed her standing there, and smiled.

"Why hello Pinkie, glad to see you decided to join us. Oh, uh, wow. That's an interesting new look. Are you using colored contacts?" Mr. Cake asked.

"Why yes, yes I am. I'm glad you noticed. I thought I'd try this look out and see how it fits me. I quite like it." Pinkamena said smoothly. Suddenly, Mrs. Cake walked in.

"Oh, hi Pinkie... Um, you don't happen to be going- er- goth, do you? Because your certainly sporting the look quite well." Goth? Pinkamena almost felt offended.

"I'll have you know I'm not goth, nor will I ever be. It is simply as Mr. Cake said before, it is a new look." Pinkamena stated. Mr. and Mrs. Cake shared a look.

"Well, perhaps you need some fresh air. Hopefully that will get rid of whatever demon possessed you..." Mrs. Cake muttered that last part to herself, but Pinkamena still over heard it.

"Yes, fresh air, I would like that very much." Pinkie said, and headed for the door. When the Cakes thought she was out of earshot, Cupcake muttered, "we are not letting her back near the twins." Pinkamena only chuckled.
