Author's Note

I apologize for this being a little bit rushed and I promise to fix this in future chapters.

Also, I would like to ask the viewers if you would like to see the Mane six, CMC, or even some of the survivors. In the comments, put "Yes" if you would like to seem a couple of them die off, put "no" if you don't. By the next time I right the next chapter is the deadline. Enjoy.

Chapter 2: Raptor Rescue

"Say Twilight, how did you manage to create these things?" A cyan pegasus asked the purple alicorn. "They all seem a little, farfetched to be real."

"Well, remember that canister that appeared in our picnic basket a couple months ago Rainbow Dash?" Rainbow nodded. "Well, it turns out there was tubes filled with these creatures embryos, using the DNA from one of the embryos, I was able to create things like... that." She pointed her hoof in the direction of a pen. Rainbow jumped at the sound of a low pitched growl. She turned to where Twilight was pointing towards and saw the source of the sound. Three 5 foot beings were slanted over, stalking the food Fluttershy had brought in for them. One jumped at it and started eating, the others soon followed.

"Velociraptors - Swift Theives - are the second most visited creature in this zoo." She pointed out to Rainbow who cocked her head.

"Well, these things look awesome! What could possibly be more popular than them!?" She asked, her eyes gleaming at the raptors. They both shuddered at the sound of a roar in the distance and a little shaking on the ground. "Woah!" Rainbow said turning around, only to see nothing but the maintenance shed.

"That is." Twilight told her.

"Equestrian Species... that explains the horses, but how are they talking?" Gerry questioned himself. He turned to Nima as if expecting an answer. She understood what he was waiting for, so she answered.

"Maybe some sort of-" She was cut off when a sudden roar in the distance sounded, causing the horses to turn around and the female begging to go see the creature, but the trio knew that roar all to well.

"Oh no... that couldn't have been a T.rex, could it have?" Jessi asked hoping for a no.

"That sounded exactly like it, but I thought the dinosaurs were only cloned and stationed on-"

"The canister." Nima pointed out.

"What?"

"The canister must somehow be here and someone must have found it."

"What? Oh my god, we have to- Jessi? JESSI!?" Gerry turned around noticing his daughter was nowhere to be found. "Dammit, I thought we agreed to stop wondering off!" He called out. He and Nima climbed up to the top of the hill to find Jess, but were created by a familiar yet unfamiliar sight. There was a zoo of sorts lying in front of them, with colorful horses walking or flying about. They approached the entrance to the zoo, but before they could go in, they were stopped by a horse wearing armour with a spear strapped to his side.

"Two bits for two p- eh, creatures." He said.

"Homo saipiens, or humans if you will. What's a bit?" Gerry replied to him. The guard opened a small box and pulled one out and showed it to them. Thinking they probably didn't use bits since they weren't ponies the guard let them in for free, but only that once. "Thank you, I promise we'll have... bits for next time." Gerry told him, the guard just nodded and looked forward.

"Now, do you think Jess is in here?" Nima said avoiding contact or eye contact with the strange horses.

"Well, it's the only thing we saw once we go up here, it's the only place she could have gone." They explored around the dinosaur zoo, seeing dinos they knew all to well, the raptors, the Herrarasaurus, the dreaded Troodon that turned everything to hell. They rounded a corner and they passed the Dilophosaurus pen. Gerry's eyes widened as he spotted a yellow winged horse in there with no protection what-so-ever.

"Wait, what is that one doing!?" Gerry asked to no one in particular. The Dilophosaurus charged at the horse as he stood in shock that the horse wasn't moving, just smiling. He closed his eyes as he heard the Dilophosaurus land and chirp. He opened them again when he heard no screaming.

"That's a good girl." Said the horse in the pen to the predator who was lying down in front of it, getting its stomach rubbed.

"How did it do that?" Nima asked aloud to Gerry.

"I've never seen a Dilophosaurus so calm or... tamed for that matter." He said in response. He watched as the horse left about ten fish next to the Dilophosaurus and left as it started eating.

"Oh my god, you two are so adorable!" Said a familiar voice.

"Why thank ya." Said another, yet unfamiliar one. The two ran to the source of the voices and came to a stop when they saw Jessi kneeling down next to two smaller horses. One was white with a pink and purple mane, and the other was yellow with a red mane, tied up in a pink bow.

Jessi turned around to see her father cross armed and Nima the same way.

"JEESICA MARIE HARDING! I thought I told you not to wonder off again! Don't you remember what happened with us and Doctor Sorkin?" He questioned her daughter. Making the two young ones gulp and a few others to stare at them.

"Yes I do, but that was only when we were in the tunnels, does it look like we're in any tunnels?"

"No, but that's not the point, the point is sneaking off because of it. I don't want that to happen again."

"It safer here, there are more safety features here then on the island. I would totally bet you that nothing well go-"

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" Someone screamed from a while away.

"OH MY CELESTIA! Somepony help her!" Shouted another.

The trio and Jessi's new friends ran over to the sound of the screaming and stopped once they reached the pen that read "Velociraptor". "Oh my god!" Gerry said as he saw an orange young pony with a purple mane inside the pen, a raptor stalking her, waiting for the moment to pounce.

"SCOOTALOO!" Shouted the two young ones. Jessi realized that that must have been their friend.

"Dad we have to help her!" Jessi told Gerry.

"No, neither me or you are going in there!"

"Then I will." Nima said and stared at the electric fence in front of her. "I just gotta slide under."

"Alright, good luck." Gerry told her. Jessi looked down at the foals scared expressions and she patted their heads.

"Don't worry, if anyone can save your friend, Nima can." They both gulped and nodded, then turned their attention back to the pen. Nima had already slid through from underneath the fence. She focused on getting the foal and escaping somehow. She started running for her, but was stopped by a two raptors who growled at her. She pulled out her machete and prepared to fight. One on her left jumped at her, but she ducked, and the raptor missed. She got back up and swung her sword at the other one, causing it jump back.

"This must've been what Oscar felt." She said as she realized her fear of the situation, like she was about to die. She ran towards the foal and saw in the corner of her eye the last raptor running at her. Without thinking, she leaned her body back while moving, her legs still going forward. The raptor jumped and missed, Nima had slid underneath it. She grabbed the foal and put it on her shoulder. She turned to run back, but when she did, she ran into two raptors, ready to pounce.

"BEHIND YOU!" Gerry called out and Nima looked back at a raptor jumping at her. She rolled out of its way and now had a clear path to where she got in. "RUN NIMA!" Gerry shouted again. Without looking back she ran for the gate. She was about halfway there until she felt her foot slip on a rock and she stumbled. She fell onto the ground and felt a searing pain as the raptors started to feast on her she lost her strength, and everything went black.

She opened her eyes to find herself in a pen with fumbling raptors behind her. "RUN NIMA!" She heard Gerry call. She ran instinctively again, making sure not to slip this time, though she had no idea how she was alive again. She ran up to where she had gotten in and let the foal through first. She heard the raptors running at her and she just winged it and jumped through the the fence, landing after doing a front flip. She heard cheering and looked down at the foal, who was being embraced by her friends. "Hey... you okay?..." She asked the foal, she was out of breath.

"Yeah, thanks to you." She said with a smile.

"What was that? How did you get in there?" Jessi asked the still shaking foal.

"Well, I was practicing my flying and... I bumped into some sort of electric box, I pressed a button by accident and the door opened." She said, ashamed of herself. Gerry looked up at the sound of screaming, following the others. They found the raptors feasting on ponies, one chasing them around, unfortunately catching most of them. It caught notice of Nima a screeched as it ran after them.

"Nima, grab them and let's go!" He said, watching as the three somehow fit into Nima's pack. The trio started running from the raptor.

"The shed!" Nima pointed out as they turned a corner. Gerry grabbed a box next to the shed, hoisted it up, threw it down on the handle, causing the lock to break. They ran inside and Gerry shut the door, putting all his weight on it while Jessi grabbed a steel pole and latched it on the handle, basically locking it again. The were all gasping for air as they surveyed their surroundings in the shed. There was a ladder in the corner of the room.

"Hey, uh Scootaloo right? Did you happen to see what the button said?" She nodded. "What did it say?"

"It uh... said "Push to Open", and when it opened the door, I though it was nothing."

"That must've turn off the power." Nima said. "I remember in the tunnels, that blockhead Yoder wouldn't read the instructions and ending up shutting down the power."

"Well, maybe this ladder goes towards it." Jessi said.

"That just leads to anotha floor of the shed." Apple Bloom said, her ears drooping.

"Where is Apple Bloom?"

"And Sweetie Belle?"

"And Scootaloo?" The three sisters asked aloud when the realized they didn't have their little sisters with them. "Don't tell me that..." Dash started.

"They were... eatin'? That's crazy talk. Still, ah hope they're alright." Applejack told her friends. "Now Twi, why aren't the fences shockin' those thangs?" She asked the shaking alicorn.

"I'm... I'm not sure. I can just turn them on again." Her horn started glowing a faint, magenta color, but it started flickering, and the light died. "What's happening? Why can't I use my magic?" She asked herself.

"I can't either." Rarity said, her horn flickering off.

"What's goin' on here?" Applejack said. "Why are the lights still off?"

"My magic isn't working!" She said, attempting over and over again.

"Mah sister's gonna become dinner!" She shouted out.
