Jurassic Park: The Game
Chapter 1: A New Species in Equestria
Load Full StoryNext ChapterTwilight sat the cylinder object down on a stump inside of her library/home. She had found the strange object while picnicking with her friends, and has been fascinated ever since by it. She wanted to know something about this cylinder.
"It looks like a can of... shaving cream?" She mumbled to herself. She held it with her hooves. "Hmm, its heavy like it's full, but feels half-empty. How is that possible?" She examined the can more until she spotted something about it. When she looked at the bottom, it appeared like it had something heavy in it. She twisted the bottom and it popped off. Her look turned to a confused one as she examined the contents of the canister.
"What's a... Velociraptor? Triceratops? Dilophosaurus?" She questioned to herself. She levitated a book from off a shelf and examined it carefully, flipping through the pages to find something that could help her. She was surprised that none of her books had even the names mentioned. Her gaze was returned to the small tubes that were lined in a circle.
"These look like DNA samples, maybe if I can put these into my "Creature Scanner", it will I identify the kind of species it is." She gleamed at the thought of using her machine again. She looked at the samples once more before heading into her lab.

"Well, isn't that just lucky." Gerry Harding pointed out as the trio examined the cash hidden away in the boat. Nima smiled at the discovery.
"To think that we never needed that damn canister, could've avoided most of this. Mios dio'." She said aloud in her Costa Rican accent. Jess looked up and shook her head, but at the corner of her eye, she spotted something rising from the water. She stood up to get a better look at what it was.
"Hey dad, there's something in the water." She told her father, Gerry Harding.
"Its... probably a fish sweetheart." Gerry assured his daughter.
"That's a really big fish!" She said. Nima caught sight of the "fish" as well. It was getting closer, and closer... and closer.
"That can't be..." She muttered aloud. Gerry walked out from the steering room of the boat and peeked into the water. His eyes widened as he realized what the "fish" was.
"Oh my god... the Mosasaur escaped!" He shouted before he felt the boat being rammed by the Mosasaur, luckily not hard enough to flip it. Gerry grabbed onto a pole and held onto it, but Jessi lost her balance and fell back towards the end of the boat. In the knick of time, Nima grabbed her while holding onto another pole. The Mosasaur was turning for another round and Gerry acted fast. He ran into the steering room and flipped the wheel as fast as he could, but it wasn't enough to prevent another collision. Gerry lost his balance this time and hit his head on a metal gauge. The last thing he heard before passing out was Jessi screaming.
*Two months later*
Sweetie Belle let out an audible gasp as she watched the Dilophosaurus sniff around its eggs and let out to what she thought was "an adorable dog sound". She had never seen a creature quite as beautiful as this, and she saw more creatures then you could name. Her sister, Rarity, giggled at Sweetie's amusement. She had a fear of the look on the creatures face when it spotted company. Those small yet intimidating beady eyes staring, it's sharp edged teeth showing, and its crests would pop out from its neck at both sides. She gulped at it and smiled nervously at Sweetie Belle.
"Deary, would you mind if I take a look somewhere else?" She asked her little sister. Sweetie Belle, still standing in amazement, nodded muttering something about getting a cutie mark in dinosaur breeding. It was things like that that made Rarity shiver. She would never leave her young sister to such... hideous creatures. She trotted nervously to a cross intersection and took out her map of the "zoo". She did however take a liking to a specific dinosaur that what at a far end of the park, and could only be visited via group travel, meaning a tour of sorts. She looked up from her map at the crowded streets of Ponyville and searched around for somepony she knew, that could help her around the park. She spotted one pony, smiled and trotted up next to her.
"Excuse me, Applejack dear, would you mind escorting me around the park. I even have a map that won't help me at all." She asked the orange farm pony infront of her. Applejack turned around, revealing her sister, Apple Bloom.
"Why sure Rarity, right after we watch Fluttershy feed the trike." Rarity gave her a questioned look, Applejack rolled her eyes. "A baby Triceratops."
"Oh, of course." She trotted next to Applejack so her, and about 90 other ponies, could watch the animal specialist at her best.
Fluttershy soon trotted out from behind a door to a shed with a huge branch in a cart pulled by her. The three trike made their way over towards the bright yellow pegasus, hungry for there meal. When she lied the branch down on the ground in front of them, she turned to the crowd. "This is called banana leaf braches, they are these young creatures favourite meal. As for the older triceratops, they can eat almost any non-poisoness plant." She instructed, eating some "oohhs" and "aahhs" from most foals. Apple Bloom smiled at the baby trike.
"She's beautiful." She said at a loss for words. Her eyes glistend as she watched the trike eat the plants.
"They sure are." Said Applejack as she watched the trike being guarded by a much, much bigger one. "Ah reckon that's their guardian. Well shoot, ah bet if ah had horn like those, I'd be a more protective sister." She said looking down at Apple Bloom, who just gave her a blank look.
"Is that even possible?" She said with a laugh. Applejack looked next to her at Rarity, who was showing little awe at the feeding. Rarity looked back at her.
"What?"
"Oh nothin', come on, let's go explorin'!"
"Oh, can ah come too!?" Apple Bloom asked her sister, who looked at Rarity.
"Well, no sugarcube, ah don't that's..."
"Sweetie Belle is over by the Dilophowhatever pit if you want to hang out with her." Rarity interrupted before the waterworks could start. Apple Bloom looked up at her sister, who rolled her eyes.
"She means the Dilophosaurus quarantine." She said. Apple Bloom nodded a "thanks" and ran off to find her friend. "Now, let's go on an adventure."

Gerry felt a splash of salt water hit his face and he opened his eyes as an instinct, panting while brushing water off his face. He looked up at Nima and Jessi. "You awake now sleepy head?" He heard his daughter ask.
"Now I am, thanks." He took a look at his surroundings. "Where are we?" He asked.
"Well, this isn't San Diego if that's what you were thinking." Nima said extending a hand. Gerry took it and stood back up with a grunt.
"Are we... back on the island?" Jessi said nervously.
"No, this doesn't look like Costa Rica, or at least not a part I've seen of it." Nima told her.
"We need to find someone to help us, we can't forget that Mosasaur is still out there, we will need to tell InGen about..." Gerry was interrupted.
"No more talk about InGen, understand." The father and daughter both nodded in response.
"But, then who will capture the..." He was interrupted again.
"The Cost Guard, all we need to do now is find out where we are."
"Woah." Said a voice from above them. They all looked up to find a horse at the top of a hill. "What kind of animal could you three be?" It said in a stern voice. Right next to it was a female looking horse with wings, it had five bubbles on the side of its rear, and the male horse had an hourglass.
"Mios dio', did that thing just... talk?" Nima said in a surprised manner.
"Yeah I just talked... why?" The horse said in a confused manner.
"Well, anyway... we need help on where we are. Apparently, you have vocal organs that allow you to translate as a human so... do you know where we are?" Gerry said in an attempt to impress the "strangers".
"Oh god, not another Twilight." The male whispered, causing the female to giggle. "Oh and to answer you... your in the best town in Equestria!"
The trio looked shocked in this new discovery. Jessi looked at her father.
"I think we might have made a wrong turn."
