I awoke standing in the middle of a field of flowers, some of which were foreign to me and some of which I knew well. Among the flowers were forget-me-nots, daisies, red and white roses, and myrtles. The sun shone bright above the field with no clouds in the sky to obscure its blue beauty.

“Where am I?” I thought aloud as I held a hand out to the sky, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin and the slight breeze that blew over the field. I looked around for anything that would set my bearings for where I was but I could find none as the flowers went beyond the horizon. I blinked once, twice, and three times before I noticed something odd. I was shorter than I normally was as I looked down at the flowers once again.

They were no longer up to my foreleg but now covered me all the way to my hips. The clothes I wore were not the normal leather armor nor the normal silk clothing I wore during my down time but a cotton shirt with the design of a power ranger present on it and I wore blue jean shorts as well.

“What’s going on here?” I said startling myself at my now squeaky voice. In the distance now I could see the sky shattering and falling onto the field and dissipating as the chunks of sky hit the flowers. I did a 360 to see if it was happening elsewhere and sure enough, it was. All around me the sky was falling apart and breaking against the field.

Fear was now present in my mind as I thought the sky was going to eventually fall on me, but I could not move as I was paralyzed into that one spot. Before I knew it the sky above me had started to break and fall as well. The largest piece of sky fell directly on top of me as I used my arms to try and shield myself from it only to have it break and disappear before it hit me. All that was left of the once beautiful blue sky was a black abyss.

What I found odd was the fact that the field seemed to still have been lit by the sun but I could not find it anywhere in the abyss above me. “Mommy, where are you?!” I heard my voice scream from somewhere far behind me. I turned around to see where the voice had come from but I saw nothing. The flowers beneath my feet began to wilt and die before leaving behind its black and brown corpse.

“Mommy!” I heard my voice scream again. I turned around and saw a path had been paven where the field once was and on the outside of the path was a neverending sea of blood. At the end of the path far off in the distance a single light shone down on a crying child who was whispering something to himself. I looked down at my body to find it was no longer a small childs body but that of a young teenagers.

I shook my head and walked down the path towards the child, the sea of blood around me started to churn and turn into waves that crashed against the side of the path as I walked along it. Not a single drop of blood landed on the pristine white marble that made the path as all drops of blood crashed into an invisible wall. By the time I reached the young child a storm had rolled in and blood started to rain down onto the roof of the invisible walls and ceiling above.

Purple lightning boomed in the distance as I slowly approached the child who was no longer sobbing but it was now eating something. It’s hands were bloodied as it bit down into a now lifeless rabbit. I hesitated for a minute before I placed my hand on the child's shoulder, he stopped promptly at my touch. “Are...are you alright kid?” I asked hesitantly as he slowly turned his head to face me.

The rabbits blood flowed down his chin and down onto his shirt. His eyes were pitch black with a singular blue dot in the middle of them to indicate his pupils, his teeth were jagged and broken at parts as he smiled at me and his hair was blond and reached down to the bottom of his jaw. “You’ve forgotten me, why?” He gurgled as lightning struck the wall behind him and we were sucked out of the hallway through the open hole.

There was no longer a sea of blood as it was replaced with earth far below us. It was night time and I quickly recognized the city below us as New York City. “HOW COULD YOU FORGET US!” The child screamed as I turned back towards him but had my heart nearly stopped as he was replaced with all the friends and family I had over the course of my life, each of them similar in appearance to the small child. Their eyes were blacked out with goo streaming out of them, small pupils that had the colors of each of their eyes as they were normally. Their hair was stringy and flew behind them as we fell. The blood that was streaming from their mouth now adorned the others behind them.

My body slowly changed once again into the body I had the year I had departed from Earth. I reached into my pocket and shuffled around before grabbing the pocketknife I had brought with me. “I NEVER FORGOT ANY OF YOU!” I screamed at them above the rushing wind as I turned around and went into a full fledged dive towards the ground. It took only a few more seconds before I rushed past the empire state building and towards the ground at an angle.

I slammed into the hood of a taxicab before it promptly exploded into flames and the scene around me was engulfed in flames and I appeared in a burning house. I coughed as I stood up and brushed the ash off of me, proceeding to cover my mouth as I looked around for survivors. I noticed I was now wearing the training armor that had been given to me by my master. I realized where I was; the final day of the village Coltfield.

The village was razed by the Harrington mafia after the mayor of the village could not pay them what he owed. “Momma! Papa! Where are you?!” I heard a colt cry out from upstairs before he let out a fit of coughing. Cloud Spirit! I immediately recalled the young colts name as I dashed to the stairwell before the ceiling came down on top of it. “Who are you?!” I heard him call down to me.

“Don’t worry, I’m gonna get you out of there!” I yelled back to him as I covered my mouth again and ran through the debris, getting burns all the way up my legs as I got up to him. The colt was disfigured with half his jaw missing, his right eye hanging limp from his socket, his left hind leg broken forwards to the point the bone had come through the skin, and his wings were skinless appendages that bled with an unnatural amount of blood.

“WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY PARENTS!” he screamed at me as he grew three times his size and jumped at me. I threw my arms up in front of my face and turned away in defense. After I realized I hadn’t been harmed I opened my eyes to find I was standing in the middle of a graveyard with a full blood moon high in the night sky. It created an eerie red glow over the graveyard as I felt something grab my ankle.

“You’ve forgotten us…” the person said as a multitude of other hands reached up and grabbed various parts of each of my legs and started to drag me down into the earth as I struggled to get away. I tried to bat the hands away but it was to no avail as I sunk further and further into the earth before I knew it, I had been covered all the way to the base of my neck and was now face to face with one of the people. “...why Robert? Why did you forget us?” they said as their face faded as the dirt of the earth engulfed me.
