The sum of our sins
Prologue

The moon’s rays glared upon it’s master, Princess Luna who sat on the balcony of the Canterlot castle, meditating. She could feel the life force of every signal being on the planet. From the mighty Dragons to the lowliest of mollusks; she could hear and feel them. But just then her focus was broken instantaneously, as a guard walked.
“What is it child?” Luna said in her signature monotone voice.
Dressed in the traditional gold outfit, the guard spoke, “Princess Celestia, has a guest and it seems she wants you to join them.”
“Ugh. My sister doesn't know what the word personal time means, does she?”
“Uh, I do not wish to speak against my ruler.”
“Oh course you don’t, you are dismissed.”
The Royal guard bowed and then frantically ran off. She chuckled at this sight, for she must have seemed like a demon to his eyes. She straightened herself off and fixed her hair, to meet with Celestia’s guest. She began to walk at a quick pace until she was met with the door too the Throne room. And when she entered she could see a stranger talking to her sister, who was dressed in her pajamas that had smiling suns printed all across them and a night cap on top of her head. Celestia looked like a mess, but brightened up when she saw her sister.
“Sister! Come sit with me! This stallion would like to speak to us about a urgent matter. He’s insisted that we both be present for this.” Celestia said with as much enthusiasm that she could muster up.
“If you wanted to see us both you should come during day court.” Luna said aggressively. She looked upon the stranger with judging eyes. He was a unicorn wrinkled and tattered, with a snow white beard. One of his eyes seemed bigger then the other, which had a greenish tint to it. And he seemed to have cut marks across his wrists. Luna didn't want to say anything but she thought he was gut wrenching to look at.
“Yes, yes, yes. I am very sorry for interrupting each of your private matters. But this is something that I must talk to you two privately.” The stallion said energetically, which was odd looking at the time. “Have either of you heard of the seed of sin?”
Celestia cocked her eyebrow, all playfulness was sapped from her speech, “Yes, I have. The question is how do you know about it? All knowledge of the seed died alongside our mother.”
“Uh... Erm, seed?” Luna unintentionally grunted in confusion. She had lived her life in ignorance of the past. She never knew her father. And the only thing Luna knew of her mother was that she was, as Celestia put it,‘The greatest hero, the world had ever known.’
“Uh, yes the seed. I know it from story! One of my ancestors witnessed the event! And passed along the story.” He twirled around, which again was quite surprising given his age. “The story of how your mother ascended beyond her Alicorn status and sealed the God’s Sin away, into the seed. Truly a breath taking story. And as a young boy, I was fascinated with the story. I wanted to find any proof that it truly existed. And then I found... It.”
“This so called, seed of sin?” Luna said with a mocking tone. “Celestia he’s faking, their is no such thing as a form higher then a alicorn. No such thing as the God’s sin. No su-”
“Quite Luna. Why are you telling us this?” Celestia said sternly.
“I want you to destroy it. To be honest I’ve been watching it for the past eighteen years and starting four years ago, it’s been getting bigger and bigger. I think it’s going to release the God’s Sin again.” The stallion said.
“You kept it, you watched over it... May ask for your name?” Celestia asked.
“Call me Tsuchinoko.” The old man replied.
“Thank you for the information. Tsuchinoko can you help, guide us to the seed?” Celestia asked only for the old man to nod. “Okay, Luna you will lead the crusade to destroying it, but I want you to bring along Twilight. If anything goes array, she’ll provide back up.”
“Celestia I can handle it myself. I don’t need her along for the ride.” Luna retorted angrily. Luna and Celestia’s student had always been on equal footing. Until the girl defeated Tirek, and saved Luna from endless torture in Tartarus. Now all Luna wants to do is prove she’s better. Better then Twilight at least.
“Luna, I could care less about your personal rivalry with my student. This is a matter of life or death. If the Seed of sin is opened, then hell will bring itself unto this world. It will be the end of the universe.” Celestia said in a stern but almost terrified voice.
