Remedy In Poneyville

  Hello, my name is Remedy and I am a unicorn. I moved to Ponyville almost a year ago from Canterlot. Ponyville is very different from Canterlot, it's a quiet, small and is over abundant in smiles thanks to the towns very own party pony, a pink and hyper pony named Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie is so much fun she always knows just what to do to cheer up a pony when they're feeling down. I live on Ponyvilles boarder where I provide medical aid for ponies with little to no money, I get a lot of help from Zecora, she's a genius when it come to herbal remedies I'm learning a lot from her. Speaking of learning Princess Twilight has a very extensive library with just about any book you could ever need, Canterlot has a huge library but, to compare the two Ponyville's library run by Twilight is pretty awesome.

Speaking of awesome I got tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala from Princess Twilight she can't go this year. I hope it'll be a wonderful evening it doesn't need to be perfect but, it'll be nice to see Canterlot again. You know it's weird but if I hadn't left Canterlot I might never have discovered my cutie mark, it's a first aid cross with heart rate symbol in the middle, I earned it in Ponyville when I started my First Aid Clinic for low income ponies. I think I might very well have been the oldest pony with a blank flank but, it never stopped me from helping ponies in need. Now that I think about Canterlot and the Grand Galloping Gala I realize I have nothing to wear to the Gala!

Remedy ran off to see Rarity about a new tuxedo for the Gala. Arriving at the Carousel Boutique he entered as a bell sounded he was greeted by a small high pitched and overly excited filly named Sweetie Belle.

"Hi there, Rarity's busy can I help you? Can I get you anything anything at all? A hat, a coat, a glass of water?" Sweetie Belle said excitedly.

"What? N-no Sweetie Belle I really need to speak to Rarity where is she? " He replied looking around for her.

"She's in her sewing room but I wouldn't~" she said before being cut off.

"Thank you so much." He said before walking off to the sewing room. He opened the door and to his surprise a mountain of fabric fell on top of him. He saw stars as his tongue hung out, shaking his head and he came to his senses. Rarity ran up to him and with her magic pulled the fabric from his body.

"Oh my goodness I'm dreadfully sorry about that, truely I am you seem to have caught me at a bad time, are you hurt?" She said

"No no I'm fine are you okay? You seem busier than normal?" He replied.

"Yes well, I am rather busy I just got this huge order and I've only got a week to finish it." she answered

"That's pushing it don't you think?" he asked her.

"Yes I know but, I simply could not say no." she replied.

"I'm sorry this is a very bad time for you but, if you could help me I'd greatly appreciate it. You see I have a ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala and I need a tuxedo." he asked her nervously.

"Well I mean I could but, you see I mainly do dresses colt's attire doesn't just fall into my hooves every day you know." she thought it over and shook her head. "I'll do it but you need to come back and remind me after I've filled this order alright?" she asked him.

"Of course I'm sorry I bothered you good luck with your order I just know it'll be fantastic." he said with a smile leaving.

"Of course would you expect anything less of me darling? Now come back in a week and we'll get you measured." she replied smiling back before shutting her door.

He smiled waving goodbye to Sweetie Belle. Walking back to his clinic the colt was startled by a familiar yell and what sounded like an explosion. Worried he galloped as quickly as he could hoping no one was seriously hurt.

Remedy approached the bridge closest to his clinic leading outside of town, he slowed down as he looked around for the source of the yell he heard leaving Rarity's Carousel Boutique. Looking around it seemed like a massive party exploded on the bridge, frosting, cake, confetti, streamers, and candy were everywhere as he looked around.

A pink hoof emerged from the party-splosion, Remedy quickly grabbed a hold of the hoof with his magic and gently guided the pony from the bridge. He noticed the pony right away it was Pinkie Pie. Remedy wanted to ask what had happened but, sure enough after Pinkie licked the cake and confetti from her face she explained as only she could.

"Wow did you see that?! I saw that, well of course I saw that I caused it but, the cake exploded too it wasn't supposed to explode it was supposed to be blasted onto the table in an explosion of frosting and confetti! And did you see how it just blew away everything I must admit I'm impressed with my own genius. Of course no one can enjoy the party if it explodes all over the place, oh well I know I'll get it right eventually." inhaling deeply and smiling wide with a soft squee was heard before an awkward silence.

The silence was soon broken as Remedy shook his head and looked to Pinkie Pie, unsure if he should burst out laughing or scold her on how reckless she was.  "Are you alright Pinkie, I heard you yelling and I come to find...this...what was this exactly?"

"Oh that I was practicing a new party rocket idea I had but, it was too powerful the take off destroyed the party before it began but, I mean wow did you see how pretty the explosion was boosh bam bloosh and awwwwww yeaaa! I just need Twilight's help with the take off and this party rocket will rock the next party I just know it!"  she laughed and little Remedy could no longer contain himself as tears rolled down his face. Pinkie smiled and tied a rainbow balloon to his horn as he got up to walk away. He waved good bye to Pinkie and headed to his clinic.

Walking to his clinic Remedy noticed little Scootaloo sitting outside his home being careful not to move her right wing and her left rear hoof was lifted off the ground. Concern ran over his face as he approached  the little filly.

"Scootaloo...what in Equestria happened?" he asked lifting her with his magic and carefully stepping inside setting her in a near by bed to examine her injuries.

"I...well what happened is was practicing my take off with my scooter and..." she looked down and lowered her head.

"Something went wrong?" he asked.

"It shouldn't have I practiced that take off a million times...but, one of my wheels fell off." she said frustrated with the situation.

"Hey now it's not you're fault don't worry just be glad you just bruised your wing and cut your leg. I'm sure you went back and figured out how your wheel came off you could fix it yourself that way it would be less likely to happen again." he smiled bandaging her wounds and helping her off the bed.

"Yea?...Hmm yea I could couldn't I? Thanks Remedy!" she smiled galloping off almost as if nothing had happened.

Remedy turned out the lights and went up to his room as Luna raised the moon. He closed his eyes and smiled. "Thank you Princess Luna." he muttered softly drifting off to sleep. It had been roughly three days since he spoke with Rarity and the Gala came closer every day he had two weeks to prepare and the first week was almost over. Thinking about the Gala got him thinking about his friend Exclusive, she's a Canterlot reporter and this year she's supposed to cover the Grand Galloping Gala. He wrote to her every day and felt it would be nice to show up with a little gift for her but, the one pony who would know what you get a Canterlot mare was currently preoccupied.

Remedy walked around Ponyville and asked many mares about what to get his friend Exclusive. He'd almost given up when passed Spike and Twilight on the road. Doubling back around to catch up to them he smiled and looked at Twilight smiling ear to ear.

"Hey there Twilight you're a mare, are you're into books and research and writing reports and all that junk right?" he looked at her hoping she might hold some answers.

Looking at him a bit concerned maybe even off put at his generalization of her. "Well yes I am a mare and I do like all of those things but, What are you really asking here?" she asked looking at Spike and the purple dragon shrugged.

"Sorry it's just, I have a ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala and it gives me a chance to visit my friend Exclusive. She works in Canterlot as a reporter and she's covering the Gala. I haven't seen her in so long I wanted to give her something but, I don't know what to get her." he hung his head.

She smiled and raised an eye brow grinning. "Is she your very special somepony?" she giggled softly with Spike.

"What?! No! She's special but, she is far from my special some pony. Exclusive was there when I needed someone most during some very awkward times in my life. I'm giving her this to say 'Hey there you're extremely special to me.' but I do want it to say that she's one if not my very most best friend." he smiled wide.

Twilight smiled and nodded to him. "If you really value her friendship that much then I'm she knows it by now anything you give her would mean to world I'm sure of it."

His ear fold back as she smiled and nodded. "Thanks that helps..."

Spike smiled and put a hand on Remedies shoulder. "Cheer up, Twilight is right. I know you were probably looking for her to just hand you something to give to your friend or at least make a suggestion like 'Give her jewels.' but, she is right. If you give Exclusive anything I'm sure she'd  love it cause it came from her best friend." he smiled as Twilight noded in agreement.

Remedy thought long and hard about the times they spent as foals together. He recalled in almost every memory he had that she never went a day without her blanket, she always wore it like a cape  and so he figured she might be too old to lug around her blanket everywhere but maybe he could fashion a scarf that looked exactly like her blanket. Paused her smacked his head with his hoof and remembered that Rarity was still preoccupied, he'd just have to wait  four more days and ask her to help him with one more thing. Remedy slowly walked to his clinic and stepped up to his bedroom where he thanked Luna for her blissful night and drifted off to sleep under her moon lit stary sky.

The week seemingly flew past Remedy before he knew it, he woke up early and trotted over to the Carousel Boutique. Approaching the door with a smile and knocked and soon to answer Sweetie Belle opened the door.

"Oh, hello Remedy, what brings you here this early?" she asked still standing in the doorway.

Remedy smiled, "Hello Sweetie Belle, I was hoping Rarity was free to assist me today."

Sweetie Belle looked back into the Boutique at a sleep deprived Rarity still at her sewing machine. "I'm afraid she's still lost in her order. She was doing a fantastic job with her outfits they looked gorgeous, so gorgeous that well Apple Bloom, Scootlaloo and I may have borrowed a few of them..." she lowered her head pouting as she went to close the door.

Stopping the door Remedy stepped inside and put a gentle hoof on top Sweetie Belle's head. "Don't worry she'll get the job done, I'll stay here you go get Fluttershy and tell her what happened, tell her to meet me here and then Rainbow Dash. If all goes well Rarity will need these delivered as quickly as possible."

Sweetie Belle picked up her head and smiled ear to ear. "Right! You can count on me!" she yelled Galloping off to Fluttershy's cottage.

"Rarity?...Rarity I'm here to help as best I can I've sent Sweetie Belle to fetch Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash." He said approaching cautiously.

Hearing her name Rarity turned and saw Remedy standing behind her. "I'm dreadfully sorry darling you'll simply need to give me more time, I can't miss my dead line I simply can't." she sounded as if she was ready to faint.

"N-no Rarity you don't understand, I sent for your friends we going to help you." Remedy smiled and held out a hoof to Rarity.

"W-what's that? You've come to help? I won't turn you down but, there's so much to do and so little time....so-so much...time...." Rarity's half spoken words startled Remedy as he quickly caught a glimpse of her fainting couch in the corner of the room dragging over to her with her magic just in time as she fell upon it. He sighed in relief catching her as he did, looking on her desk he found the plans for her dresses and got right to work as a knock was heard at the door.

"Come in please!" he called out to the knocking. The knock was a timid Fluttershy followed by Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo who had followed Rainbow Dash after hearing the situation from Sweetie Belle. Seeing Rarity in such a state they all stopped and gathered around her.

"What in Equestria happened to Rarity!?" AJ asked rightfully worried seeing her friend passed out.

"She's fine, she's over worked and exhausted. She need our help, there are about eight more dresses to make and according to this paper we have until noon today to get them to the train station." Remedy took charge and assigned jobs to everypony.

Rainbow Dash stood by the door ready to take the package as soon as it was loaded and ready. Fluttershy got to work with Remedy right away sewing the dresses together as Apple Jack and the CMC tended to the exhausted Rarity. Wither minutes left before noon sweat beading off of everypony's brow, the package was carefully boxed and tossed to Rainbow who flew of, the force from her take off blew the door slamming it shut. The load slam jolted Rarity awake seeing AJ and the fillies.

"What, Apple Jack? What are you doing he-, my dresses the dead line what time is it?!" she sat straight up and galloped to the nearest clock.

"Simmer down now Rarity it's all taken care of. Remedy sent Sweetie Belle to fetch Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, me and the fillies here have been watching over you while Fluttershy and Remedy sewed up the last dresses you needed. Rainbow is delivering them as we speak. " Apple Jack assure Rarity as she fell on her fainting couch again hoof gently pressed to her forehead sighing in relief.

"Wait Remedy? Why was he here so early?" she asked looking to him but before her could speak Sweetie Belle chimed in.

"You promised him a week ago you'd help him with his outfit so he came over early to check on you and when he saw you were so far behind and sent me off the fetch Fluttershy and the others and he stayed here to continue your work." finally taking a breath she she looked up at Rarity with a smile.

Rarity's eye brow rose taking in everything Sweetie Belle had said and looked to Remedy. "Thank you, thank you all I don't what would have happened if you hadn't come when you did. I'll get started right away on your suit Remedy."

She began to stand up to get to work as a glass of water floating in front of her face stopped her. "You need to rest the Gala isn't going anywhere. But, if I may I would like some materials to take home with me, there's something I'd like to create for a friend of mine." she stopped him and smiled.

"Take what you need I insist it's the least I can do." taking the glass of water she sat up just in time for Rainbow Dash to come back.

"Delivered with five minutes to spare I'm still awesome." she landed grinning. Rarity nodded and smiled back.

Remedy took satin fabric, a plum purple color, soft to the touch, shinning in the light. "Fabulous choice darling, they'll absolutely love it." Rarity said smiling at Remedy. Remedy walked to the clinic with a soft grin on his face.
