An Old Equestrian Storm
Immortals like to meddle where they don't belong. Rain finds this out first-hand as he is shoved into Equestria at the start of the thousandth Summer Sun Celebration at the whim of one such being.

Rain was just looking for a break from the chaos of his home life. When things got bad enough, he packed his bags and walked away from civilization. Unfortunately, he accidentally stepped into the domain of an immortal being that thought she could "help" him.
Now Rain has arrived in Equestria just before the thousandth Summer Sun Celebration, and must find a way to survive in a world of magic, ponies, and the occasional apocalypse-level event.
A story inspired by several other HiE's, but most notably Darkness Shade's Just Horsing Around.
This was mostly started as a writing exercise to help me get back into the flow of things. I'm trying to avoid some of the big cliche's, but some really are unavoidable based on my point of entry.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go hide in my bomb shelter.
