PONIES IN ARMS-2. NUCLEAR WINTER

We pulled out of Bitter Creek at exactly 0800 and were on our way to the one place in the trip where if an attack was going to happen it would happen there for sure, the Rocky Mountains that separated the eastern half of Equestria from the western half. The train rumbled along gaining altitude as it climbed the steep inclines of the winding track I sent all the Pegasus ponies into the air to scout for anything in the train's way and it went this way for 7 hours until we all thought we were going to go insane. This by far was the most boring thing I had ever been through in my entire life. The train was crawling along the inclines and it seemed to not even be moving at some points in time.

"UP AHEAD, THERE IS A PONY ON THE TRACKS. HE ISNT ALONE EVERY PONY I’LL FLY AHEAD TO GET A BETTER LOOK OK” The Pegasus flew straight ahead of the train as I made my way to the engine along with Kill Shot. My sniper was on the roof of the engine just in case. "OH GOODY, RAIDERS" I heard the conductor tell himself. "Raiders, who are they? Are they related to the N.L.R or are they just highway ponies trying to rob the train" I asked him. "Don’t think they have anything to do with the N.L.R but in this day and age who knows" he said back to me. "POP,POP,POP,POP,POP" they were shooting at the train, so in my opinion they were bad whoever they were. I ordered all windows shut and also told the all the armored Pegasus ponies to get into the air for air support. These ponies whoever they happened to be had picked the wrong train to mess with and I was going to show them the error of their ways.

"THERE ON THE ROOF OF THE MEAL CAR THERE ARE 2 OF THEM" The earth pony in armor went up to the roof to see what was going on and came face to face with a half scared out her mind pony with a shotgun levitated by magic. The pony quickly dropped the weapon and pleaded with the armored pony not to kill her. The train stopped all movement and I got out of it along with my entire traveling group. Needless to say any pony that was still holding a weapon dropped it at the sight of an entire train full of ponies in police, N.L.R, and N.C.E uniforms.

"OK, WHO THE FUCK DO YOU PONIES THINK YOU ARE!" I yelled at the group of now lined up ponies with their tails between their legs. The conductor got out of the train levitating an Uzi and pointed it at the frightened pony who we concluded was the leader of the rag tag band of ponies. "HOLD ON THERE SMOKY WE DON’T WISH TO KILL ANY OF THEM I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND WHY THEY ARE ATTACKING THE TRAIN" “W,,,, we are a small band of train robbers we really have no choice due to what has now happened to Equestria and the fact that Celestian currency is no longer accepted anywhere in Equestria. The new currency is the Lunar. If you have those you are considered a traitor in Ponyville and are arrested on sight. We fled Canterlot after the E.L.F finally revealed who and what they really were. Don’t kill us please, we are simply trying to get by and live. We have heard of you ponies and all we would really like is to join you that is if you’ll have us" I looked at Kill Shot and the rest the passengers on the train they had just attacked and left the choice up to all of them. "THEY ARE ONLY 10 STRONG BUT LOOK HOW THEY WORKED AS A TEAM TO BRING THE TRAIN TO A STOP. TO BE HONEST WE WOULDN’T MIND HAVEING THEM JOIN US” One pony spoke for the entire group it was Harmony.

At that Smoky holstered his Uzi, and climbed back into the engine. "ALL ABOARD WHOS COMEING ABOARD" yelled Smoky from the now restarted engine. We were once again on our way having just gained 10 new recruits. What could I say? I guess our reputation had preceded us and we had followers willing to follow us at the drop of a hat. To be honest it made me really happy to know that if we had ever ran into any trouble we had followers who would suddenly come out of the woodwork to help us out in a heartbeat.

Introductions were going on between the new ponies and every pony else. Harmony was making it known to them that it was her, and her alone that had spared their lives. "EVERY PONY WAS AGAINST IT BUT I CONVINCED THEM THAT YOU ALL WOULD COME IN HANDY. I SAW THE WAY YOU ALL WORKED TOGEATHER. THEREFORE YOU ARE NOW MY PERSONAL GAURD” They all nodded and agreed and just like that Harmony now had her very own personal unit. Ruby was looking at Harmony and her new personal guard with a smile on her face. Even though Ruby was in fact the commander so to speak she couldn’t argue with Harmony’s thought process as to the situation and she was in fact happy that it was Harmony that had stepped up and spared the lives of the now N.C.E ponies.

The train was still rumbling along the tracks when I suddenly realized that we were now on a downhill run. We had made it through the mountains and were now looking down at a now lit up Ponyville down the hill. Considering the stop that we were forced to take in the mountain pass had taken an hour and a half out of the trip we were almost still on time in Ponyville thanks to the downhill grade through the mountains we and made it into Ponyville at about 1700 just as every pony was getting off of work at Mare Mar.

We pulled into the once sleepy town under a huge banner that read the following in big bold lettering. (WARNING THIS TOWN IS AN N.L.R FREE TOWN. ANY PONY CAUGHT HAVEING ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE N.L.R WILL BE ARRESTED ON SIGHT AND IF IT IS IN DEED FOUND OUT THAT YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE N.L.R YOU WILL BE EXECUTED NO QUESTIONS ASKED. WELCOME TO PONYVILLE AND ENJOY YOUR STAY.) The mayor already knew about the train coming in and had already had a town meeting telling the ponies of the town that I did have some ponies in N.L.R uniforms coming with me but that they were already ponies they all knew and they were a part of my group. To which every pony in town all hoof stomped in delight at having their hero’s return.
