Wild Flower enjoyed being a groundskeeper for the statue garden in Canterlot. He made sure the sidewalks were weed free, the bushes were well trimmed, and the statues didn't have moss grow on them. Aside from the time Discord brokeout of his stone prison it was relatively quiet.
At least that was normally the case.
On this particular night, as Wild Flower normally did his work at night to not bother the visitors, he was investigating the statue of victory for any cracks or plants growing off of it, as was his normal routine. Suddenly his neck hairs started to stick up as he felt a force building in the air as if lightning was building in the clouds ready to be released upon whatever was in its path towards the earth. As there was not a cloud in the sky, as well as no broadcast from the Pegasi about a scheduled storm, Wild Flower scrathed his head in askance as to what this building force was.
Just as the pressure in the air grew to an almost unbearable force, there was a sound as if somepony cracked a whip and sprayed whipped cream at the same time. A brown and gold lightning bolt burst out of a rip in the fabric of space and time striking right where Discord's statue used to be.
Wild Flower rushed over to the area where the clearly magical bol had hit, hoping to celestia it had not started a fire or damaged any of the statues in the garden.
As Wild Flower came to a stop at the edge of the blast radius he let his jaw fall open in awe as he looked upon the pony kneeling on Discord's podium surrounded by blue fire and scorched grass.
The pony slowly stood up on his hind legs and brushed himself off looking at himself as if for the first time. He had a light brown coat with a very unkempt darker brown mane and tail, reminding Wild Flower of a stallion he once met named Time Turner. As the pony finished looking himself over he turned his head towards Wild Flower and he saw that his eyes were golden as if imbued with a powerful lost magic.
The mysterious pony then turned to Wild Flower and ,with a smile belonging to madpony with a plan, asked "Excuse me kind sir, but would you bring me to your leader? I need to have a word with them,"
At which point Wild flower promptly fainted.
