Our story begins on a crystal clear night in Equestria, where Twilight and her friends were invited to Canterlot to watch a meteor shower with Princess Celestia and her sister Luna. As the meteor shower was about to begin, a bright flash illuminates the sky in a bright array of colors. This has never been seen before during a meteor shower, so everyone was awestruck as the meteors began to fall. "Wow, that's really beautiful, nice job Luna" Twilight said. Luna bowed her head but had a look of confusion on her face as she did schedule a meteor shower for equestria, however she did not expect for the colors that happened before the shower began. So she pushed it to the back of her mind and decided to let it go.

"Thank you Twilight but you should also thank Discord, without the magic I borrowed from him I wouldn't have been able to put on such a show for everyone." Luna said glancing over to Discord who was sitting with Fluttershy eating a tub of popcorn enjoying the company of his friends.

"No problem Luna, it's the least I can do after that little incident with Tirek . "Discord said. "I'm just glad I could be of help to my friends." Twilight gave a awkward smile to Discord as she went back to watching the meteor shower with everyone else. As the night was coming to an end, everyone decided to turn in for the night.

As everyone was packing up to go back to ponyville, Celestia pulled Twilight aside to talk to her. "Twilight I noticed last night during the meteor shower that my sister Luna had a worried look on her face and when I confronted her about it she told me that the array of colors at the beginning was not her doing." " I tried to tell her that it was probably the effect of the chaos magic she borrowed from Discord, so I told her that you would keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary to ease her mind." " So please just humor her so she doesn't freak out so much." Twilight nodded as she hugged Celestia before she had to get on the train to Ponyville.

On the train ride home Twilight explained the situation to everyone about Luna's concern. "Do you really think Discord would do something like this?" Applejack stated.

"Well if he tries anything stupid we'll just stop it like we always do!" Rainbow boasted.

"I'm sure that this is just a misunderstanding." Fluttershy chimed in. At that point Discord poofed in middle of the train car crying.

Discord sobbed, "Oh Fluttershy, you are too good to me, of course it's a misunderstanding. I would never do anything to upset my friends and I only let Luna borrow my magic, what she did with it was her problem, although she might not be good at controlling my chaos magic." Discord then donned on a pair of angel wings and halo. "I've truly changed this time for good." Before any of them could say anything to him the train had reached its destination with a screeching of the trains brakes.

They all got off the train only to be greeted by Scootaloo, Sweetie Bell, Apple Bloom and the mayor. "Welcome home!" The all shouted.
Apple Bloom ran into her sisters hooves with an embracing hug and started shouting. "Apple Jack, Apple Jack, you'll never guessed what happened last night?"

"Hold on sugar cube, slow down and tell me what's got ya all worked up." Apple Jack said.

"A meteor fell from the sky last night near the Everfree forest!" The group was speechless as they explained how big the boom was when the meteor hit the ground.

"That's why I'm here" the mayor explained. I quarantined off the area where the meteor fell because I don't want anypony getting hurt until you say its safe Princess Twilight. It would make a great tourist attraction for Ponyville if its safe enough." Twilight was interested in the fallen meteor for science reasons of course. So Twilight and her friends headed for the Everfree forest to inspect the meteor crash site. As they neared the forest they saw the crater the meteor made, although not big still pretty impressive for such a small rock. As they looked in the hole they all got a good look at the meteor. It was the size of a regular sized pony and was nothing special about it in the slightest.

As Twilight and the others got closer to the meteor, Twilight noticed a faint magic aura around it and yelled. "Everyone stop!" Everyone froze in their tracks except for Pinkie Pie who just crept closer and closer. "Pinkie, what are you doing?" Twilight asked with a whisper.

"Don't you hear that, the rock is sad." Pinkie said with a frown.

Everyone just looked around in confusion as Pinkie put her ear near the meteorite confirming her suspicion of what she was hearing. "Yeah, this rock is really sad, I can hear it crying." Pinkie said.

"What ever do you mean darling, I don't hear anything." Rarity said with a smile.

"Yeah Pinkie, what are going to do, cheer up that rock with a party?" Rainbow said with an amused look on her face. Pinkie looked hurt at her friends not believing her.

Fluttershy moved closer to comfort her friend, when she too heard a faint crying sound. Her eyes widened as she got closer to the meteorite to make sure she was hearing what she thought she heard. "Oh my, Pinkie is right, I hear crying." Fluttershy said in a calm meek voice. They all got closer to the meteorite to try to hear the crying. As they got closer, the meteorite started to crumble away bit by bit and the crying got louder and louder. The meteorite finally came apart revealing a small bundle of cloth.
As they all hovered above the bundle of cloth, they opened it revealing a little baby colt crying. They all looked at him with wide eyes as they all said in unison.

"AWWWWWWW how cute!"
