He fell from the stars!

Twilight couldn't believe what she was seeing. How could this baby colt come from a meteorite. She seemed lost in thought until the voices of her friends fawning over the colt. Applejack was the first to pick him up to try to calm him down.

"Calm down, it's alright, there's no reason to be afraid now." Applejack said while rocking him back and forth.

The colt only cried louder and louder as Applejack's swaying motion only made him more fussy. The others got closer to try to calm the baby down in their own way. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash tried making a bunch of silly faces to try to make the colt laugh, while Fluttershy and Rarity tried to calm him down with their soothing voices by singing a lullaby. When none of that worked, they all looked to Twilight like she would have an answer. Twilight walked closer to the little colt and started levitating him with her magic and swaying him gently back and forth. It worked to everyone's amazement, as he slowly stopped crying and fell asleep.

"Wow, Twilight where'd you learn to do that?" Applejack stated.

"I read it in a book that was about foal sitting and it told me magic can help soothe foals if done right." Twilight explained as she lowered the little foal closer so she could have a look.

When she got a closer look at the foal she realized that he was a unicorn. She decided that the best course of action was to make sure that he was ok. She motioned everyone to get closer so she could talk low without waking him. "I'm not sure how this baby unicorn colt got here as it is impossible for him to come from the meteorite, but as princess I need to make sure that he is well taken cared of." "So let's take him to the hospital to make sure he is healthy." Twilight said as they all nodded in agreement.

As they were walking towards the hospital, they all wondered who would take care of him. While all of them really thought about it, they all realized that Twilight would be the best bet as she was the only one to calm him down. They all arrived at the hospital weary and tired as it was really late at night and there was barely anypony around except a couple nurses and a receptionist. Rarity went over to receptionist to explain the situation, while the girls waited in the lounge area. Soon they were all greeted by the doctor on call that night.

"Hello there, I hear that your foal needs a check up." The doctor said with a gentle smile on his face.

"Yes, and for the record he's not my foal, we just found and I would like to make sure that he's at least healthy. Then I can figure out how to deal with this situation." Twilight said as she handed the foal over to the nurse.

They all watched as the doctor and nurse went past a couple of double doors with the foal. They waited for what seemed liked hours, which was torture for Rainbow Dash as she hated to wait, especially in a boring place like a hospital. Most of them had fallen asleep in the lounge area. Twilight was still awake trying to rack her brain trying to come up with an logical explanation for why this baby colt come from the sky, but couldn't think of a thing. Then she remembered that she saw at the crash site. That faint magic aura of Discord was all over that meteorite. She then used the spell Princess Celestia gave her to summon him. Suddenly Discord appeared before her in a bed with huge pillows all around him.

Twilight asked him to wake up, but all he did was squirm in his bed like he didn't care someone was trying to wake him up. Twilight was beginning to get annoyed as she conjured a bucket of cold ice water and poured it on him causing him to shoot out of bed with a yelp.

He ran around in a panic not knowing what just happened until he spotted Twilight with an amused look on her face.

"Now what do I owe the pleasure of being summoned by the great princess." Discord scowled as he crossed his arms shivering.

"I want to know if you had anything to do with this colt falling out of the sky?" Twilight asked.

Discord just slowly walked over to Twilight and slowly whispered in her ear. " This couldn't wait until morning. You had to wake me up like this. I thought we were friends Twilight."

"We are, but I can't ignore that the meteor we found him in had traces of your chaos magic on it." Twilight explained.

Discord was shocked at this news as he sat down to think about what he was being told. He conjured a cup of coffee and started to sip it while thinking about what Twilight said. Honestly he had no clue what she was talking about even though she said that his chaos magic had something to do with it. He shrugged at Twilight as he began to speak. "I'm sorry Twilight, but I don't have the foggiest idea what your talking about. I am just stumped as you are. Are you saying that really found a little colt that fell from the sky?"

"Yes, I just can't explain how this is possible unless you had something to do with it, since your magic is unpredictable sometimes." Twilight said.

Twilight and Discord just sat there in silence contemplating what this could all mean until the doctor came out to greet them.

He came out with a tired look on his face as he began to speak. "Hello again Princess Twilight. I have some news about the little colt you brought to me tonight. Thank Celestia you brought him here just in time as he was extremely dehydrated and malnourished. You saved his life bringing him here. We have given him lots of fluids and formula, so he should be fine to go home in a couple hours." The doctor said.

A couple of hours later, Twilight began waking up her friends as they all gave big yawns and stretches. They all were surprised to see Discord there but were too tired to care. The nurse came out with the little colt who was sleeping soundly. She handed him over to Twilight and they all were glad he was going to be ok.

"I'll take him back to my castle for now and write Princess Celestia a letter later to see if she has any advice, but for now I think I will need to go to sleep and deal with this when I am well rested." Twilight said while yawning.

Everyone nodded in agreement as they all went there separate ways early in the morning. Twilight arrived at her castle really tired from the night with no sleep. She makes her way to her room with the little colt in tow. When she walks in she notices a small crib with a card on it near her bed. She reads the card to see it was from Discord. She didn't care why he sent it but was glad it was there nonetheless. All she cared about was body slamming her bed and catching some sleep. So she slowly lowered little colt into the crib and whispered "My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle and I will be taking care of you for now, so if you need anything just don't hesitate to ask or cry in that matter. Since you are a unicorn, maybe I can teach you how to use your magic."

She then walked over to her bed and slowly got under her covers letting sleep wash over. A couple of hours later she felt something poking her.

"Twilight?" she heard as she grumbled in her sleep.

"Twilight?" she heard again.

"Yeah" she asked without waking.

"Can I sleep in your bed with you, since there's more room?" The voice asked.

"Sure Spike, just let me sleep." Twilight grumbled.

Spike confused as to why Twilight was talking to him, he just ignored her and turn over in his bed.
