Author's Note

I've been hospitalized the past week from my holiday and have been horrendous vomiting blood and the like. I am sorry I haven't been able to keep up the updates but when you're stuck in a bed getting shots of hydroform and morphine, you tend to be incapacitated. This is a tiny sampler of what's to come. Don't get angry at the "tease" some of you might take it as, it's just so I don't lose a reader. Enjoy the bit, thanks for understanding.

A Destined Family

As Lyric strode through the hall away from the tailor with his sister's, he asked, "Why was he so surprised, it's not like those are rare too or something."

The princesses stopped and their jaws dropped, "Not rare?! That was a crystallized diamond amethist!" Celestia exclaimed.

"Yes? Your point miss pink hair?" He asked with a smirk.

"It's not pink... It's strawberry." She told him with a pout. "Beside the point. How can you think those are common?!"

"Because I have piles of them." He said humorously. "I use them as target practice and skipping stones." Laughing to himself, Lyric continued his way down the halls.

"Those are practically the rarest gems other then the sapphire-opal on daddies crown!" The lunar filly told him exasperated.

"Really? Huh." He was in deep thought for a moment the grinned. "You two wanna know something even better than those 'incredibly rare' gems?"

"What do you mean..?" Celestia asked curiously.

"I mean; would you like to see a waterfall who's rocky path is made of emerald." Lyric chuckled at their look of amazement.

"You've been... To my mother's... Old home?" Galaxia butted in from behind, a look of need and nostalgia on her muzzle. "W-were the pillars still intact..?"

Lyric took his hands from his head and placed them at his side, "Your mother's..?" He couldn't believe it. He'd come across the waterfall one week when he was so tired and weak he had collapsed in the river and had been carried through to the basin of the falls. "Galaxia.. Your family is the greatest I've seen. The artwork and depictions were simply beautiful, I never thought those ruins would come back to me."

"Y-you and me b-both, Lyric." The noble queen way trying her best to keep her composer, but it was fading. Her mothers final resting place and original spot where her mother and Eternia's father began the very construction of the power alicorns, unicorns, pegasai and earth bound ponies all hold. "

"Would you like to visit the progenitors I found, Galaxia?"

Widening her eyes and beginning to shake, the queen nearly collapsed from the last part. "You... Y-You found t-the progenitors?" She asked as slowly as she could.

Giving her a knowing glance and smiling his warm and always friendly smile he nodded, "I met them."
