Richtofen Chronicles: One Last Chance
Welcome to Equestria
Load Full StoryNext ChapterApril Ninth, 1945, the day the war was changed. Hundreds of planes flew over the city of Nagasaki, all of them were made from steel and all were different colors of the rainbow, there were some the sizes of speedboats, some were the size of buses, but one was the biggest. The rain covered the sky like a blanket over a child, a loud and very deep siren went off which sounded like multiple were going off, all of the planes began lifting upwards but one stayed leveled. The silver, steel covered, four propeller engines on both of its wings, and labeled with a small but cartoonish train on the side of the cockpit, the Bockscar stayed leveled above Nagasaki. "We are dropping Fat Man, I repeat, Fat Man is going to fall," Captain Fredrick C. Bock said in the radio, he flipped a couple switches in the large cockpit full of buttons, the two large bomb-bay doors opened under the aircraft, a large, yellow, and football shaped bomb began to hang from the chains in the opening, one would say that the bomb looked like a football with a rectangle fan attached to the back of it. The front two chains ripped from the bomb, leaving the bomb to face downwards, soon after the front retracted, the last two chains let go. The bomb whistled as it fell, gravity pulling it down until Fat Man hit the cold, hard concrete. A large flash engulfed the city, soon after came the implosion, a mushroom cloud lifted from the city as all the vehicles, people, children, and buildings flew away. This was the beginning of the end.
April Thirty-first, the day after the fall of the Axis. Loud sirens shook the ears of everyone in Berlin, hundreds of bodies filled the streets, some with Swastikas attached to their suits and some with a yellow hammer and sickle attached. A large, green tank drove in front of the reinforced door of the secret lab which was inside of a museum-like building, now with two large Swastikas hanging on the roof. The tank fired a large shell into the door which alarmed all of the soldiers inside. The German soldiers waited behind grey walls, red pillars, some even kicked down the tables that had sensitive blueprints on, the soldiers were either armed with a small handgun or submachine gun. The grey smoke filled the doorway, confusing the Germans until bullets came flying out, some were shot and killed but some lived. They fired back, only hitting a couple soldiers in green suits, but it was no luck. The Soviets began to jump through the windows, firing at the last ones who were alive, at least fourteen bodies were in the room. Twenty-five Soviets began searching the room, trying to find any entrance into the secret labs, they were tearing off the red wallpaper, kicking holes in walls, pulling down the hanging lamps, they had no luck until on pulled out the rug, revealing a silver door. A heavily armored soldier took out a long, black, and steel tube from his back, "Stay back," the Soviet said as he fired a rocket into the door, breaking the door into a hallway. Four jumped down into the hallway, their boots made noises which echoed through the small hallway, the concrete walls and floors shaking. They started to move forward to a doorway, a steel bell was in the room which looked like a metal bug was holding it up, on the sides were two cloth swastika flags. A loud boom came from beside the four, pushing them back as a small, white, ring made of sound began to soak into the wall. The large bell's door dropped open into a bridge, a figure came out of the corner and into the light, his face was pale as snow and had a huge scar on his cheek, he wore a tan suit that had three medals on the left side along with a hat, the hat was tan with a red strip under the visor and top.
"You're not taking me anywhere," he said as he dropped the large weapon, it had a huge, black cylinder for the barrel but a skinny, yellow body behind the barrel, "Don't mess with the Richtofen family." He began going up the steel bridge until a bullet flew past him, hitting the bell. He looked back, face to face with twenty-one Soviets. He quickly ran into the bell, surrounded by machines and buttons, more bullets began hitting the aircraft and the clunks echoed through the machine. He quickly pressed buttons which were right beside the doorway, then he pulled down the switch to close the door. The door began to slowly close up, giving one Soviet and idea.
"Stay here, I got him," He jumped onto the now lifting up door, armed only with a knife. Richtofen climbed up the ladder, putting him on the top of the machine, surrounded by a strip of glass to see and had one tan, and swiveling chair for more comfort. Richtofen grabbed onto the controls and opened up a panel, labeled, 'Year Month Day,' he put in the day World War one started as the door finally closed, trapping the grey clothed Soviet inside. The Soviet climbed up the ladder and began to attack, Richtofen dodged each stab until grabbing onto the knife to fight back. The machine began to float, creating a wind tunnel under it, then two lights came out on top of the machine. Richtofen slipped under him and landed back in the main room, the Soviet accidentally stabbed the time panel, destroying the main time control unit. The Soviet tried to pull out the knife, only to get choke-held by Richtofen.
"You idiot! You're going to get us both killed, we won't know what time we're getting to!" Richtofen yelled as the Soviet headbutted him, making Richtofen bleed through his nose. The machine began to make a loud noise, the noise of the Universe, then began to disappear, the rest of the Soviets thought they were going insane. The machine finally disappeared, swirling around and bobbing intensely through the blue tunnel of time and space. They screamed until the bobbing and swirling stopped after two minutes of horror, soon the aircraft began to fall. They continued to scream, dropping out the blue sky like a fly. They hit the ground so fast, most of the machine was melted or blown into orbit. The two laid on the only side that didn't hit the ground first. Two hours later, Richtofen woke up and looked around, they were in a forest and surrounded be blue flowers. He carefully climbed up the machine on its side, one of the flags were burned but the other was hanging on a group of trees, the sky was brighter than their time and not full of pollution, it's like Humans never been here. A large pink tower signaled the sign of civilization but a city on a cloud surprised Richtofen, along with a castle on a mountain. He looked around, only to see an ocean of trees, he jumped down and went back into the wreckage. He opened a steal door only to pull out a gold revolver, along with a steel shotgun.
"Where are we?" the Soviet questioned as he looked around. Richtofen tossed the shotgun towards him, the Soviet grabbed it and aimed the weapon at the German. "I'm Nikolai Belinski, who are you and where are we?"
Richtofen looked at him, "I'm Edward Richtofen, and this isn't a 'where' question, it's a when," Richtofen said in a deep, heavily accented voice as he looked back at the wilderness, "If you hadn't noticed, we are in a possibly dangerous forest, we'll have to work together for our answer." Nikolai stopped aiming at him and looked towards the forest. A figure began walking towards them, half the size of a Human but had four legs, the two aimed their weapons at it. The figure finally walked into the wreckage, revealing a purple horse-like creature.
"What are you?" the pony said as she looked back towards them, having a terrified tone of voice.
Nikolai looked at Richtofen then back at the purple unicorn, with sparkles on her flank, he then began to talk "I'm Nikolai, he's Richtofen, we are Humans and what are you? Weird alien creature," Richtofen sighed and place his palm on his own face, holding the revolver in his left hand.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn," she whimpered after talking, staring at the gold revolver, "A-And you're in Equestria." The two Humans looked at each other, exchanging their strange expressions.
Richtofen looked back at Twilight, "What did you do to Humans?" They looked up at the door that was dangling, then it fell. Everything went slow, like they were about to die, Richtofen's life of science flashed before his eyes as Nikolai's life of vodka flashed. Everything began to speed up, the door snapped from the wires then crashed onto the two Humans, knocking them cold. Twilight used her magic to lift the door and pull them out, just to place them on the door to carry back to Ponyville.
