Contrivance returns to the base.

"Well that machine failed and now those 3 ponies are headed towards our base...what are we suppose to do?" asked Contrivance as he leaned over a table that Apparatus was sitting at.

"Well I have these blue prints that I've been making for an air ship that can drop robotic bombs." Apparatus explained as he showed Contrivance the blue prints.

"robotic bombs?" Contrivance asked.

"Yes, you see, what they do is when we drop them the explosion causes all animals who are caught in the explosion to be turned into robots and then we can use those robots to put an attack on Pegaphoenix and soon all of the land and gain our rightful place as the greatest mechanics in all of Creatia!" said Apparatus with an evil glare in his eyes. "I already got some of our robots to start building the ship. It's only half complete though. Should we give them a hand?" Apparatus added.

"No. I know something else we can do while we wait for those ponies to arrive..." said Contrivance.

(meanwhile)

"Something tells me we're not too far away from their base..." said Sketchy as he looked around the mechanical fields that they recently entered and saw smoke covered skies and a few construction buildings.

"Really? You sure the fields aren't usually covered in metal like this?" said Flaming Wind sarcastically as he gave Sketchy a look with his eye brow raised.

"I was just saying...anyways, what are you doing, Mystic?" asked Sketchy as he turned to Mystic and saw that her horn was glowing.

"I'm using a sensing spell I learned in the college to sense the electricity beneath the metal to see if there's any large wires that may lead us to the base." explained Mystic as she kinda walked in a swerving motion to follow the electricity that she sensed.

"You know I could just have Flaming Wind fly up and take a look around like he did at the mountains." Sketchy replied.

"Um, in case you haven't noticed, the entire sky is covered in smoke from all these construction building so I won't be able to see anything." Flaming Wind explained as he continued to follow Mystic.

"Oh yeah...well alright then." said Sketchy as he followed along with Flaming and Mystic.

Sketchy and Flaming followed Mystic for quite some time. A couple times they got off track because Mystic's sensing spell sensed a few robots which they had to fight and sometimes the wires lead to a few construction buildings which they destroyed and freed plenty of animals. Eventually they did make it to the actual base and approached the entrance.

"What's the password?" asked the door.

"...Yeah, no. I'm not doing this." said Sketchy who proceeded to punch the door open.

The team sees the 2 mechanics and they both get behind some kind of control panel behind some glass at the other side of the room and clear out the room from the controls as 2 laser canons come out of the walls and ceiling at the end of the room where the control panel is. 2 lasers make an X shape an fly at the 3 ponies, Sketchy jumps to the left, Mystic ducks, and Flaming jumps over the top and lands slightly in front of Mystic and Sketchy. 2 more lasers come by that are just straight lines across the room. Mystic ducks again, Sketchy jumps over one laser and Flaming tosses Sketchy under the second laser as Flaming ducks under it. Mystic is behind Flaming and Sketchy is in front of Flaming. Another laser appears that is just a straight line from the ceiling to the floor. All 3 of them move to either the left or right of the room and then charge towards the control panel as the laser continues to go to the other side of the room. All 3 of them make it to the control panel and there are 3 lasers left. One on the ceiling, one on the left wall, and one on the right wall. Flaming destroys the one on the ceiling with a fire ball, Sketchy punches the one on the left, and Mystic fires a magic beam at the one on the right. All 3 of them give the mechanics a serious look and then break the glass open and jump inside while also tackling the 2 mechanics to the floor. The mechanics impacting the floor causes one of their heads to pop off revealing a spring neck which makes the team realize that these are fakes. Just then they hear a loud boom that came from the room up ahead. They ran across the hall and entered the room to find that an air ship has taken off. The ship was already too high for Mystic or Sketchy to get on it so Flaming just decided to fly after it and take it down on his own.

"Alright, the sky. Finally something I can work with." said Flaming Wind as he proceeded to head to the cock pit.

The air ship wasn't very fast considering how big it was so it wasn't very hard for Flaming Wind to stay on it. Flaming decided to fly through it at first thinking it would be faster but unfortunately some turrets sensed him and shot some paralyzing lasers at him which caused him to fall back on the ship. Fortunately only his wings were paralyzed for a bit so he is still able to run through the ship. As he ran some other turrets fire small missiles at him which Flaming shot some fire balls at but at the wrong time so the missiles exploded right next to Flaming and knocked him back a bit nearly making him fall off the ship but he did manage to get good footing again and proceeded to try and get to the front of the ship. The turrets fired more missiles and this time Flaming dodged them and when he got to the turrets he covered his hooves in fire and punched the turrets causing them to be destroyed. After that Flaming continued running and as he ran along the ship some robots tried to attack him. Some managed to hit him and knock him back again but not too far but yet this still caused Flaming Wind to get pretty mad and started dashing through the ship with streaks of fire beginning to follow behind him. More robots and turrets came up and tried to attack Flaming but Flaming's talent in the flow of fire began to kick in and dashed right through them with the flexibility of fire like how it moves when wind blows on it. Flaming made it to the cock bit and jumped up ready to dive through the glass, the fist rocket came up and pushed Flaming a bit far from the ship. Flaming eventually found that he could move his wings again and got the fist out of his way and saw that he was pretty high in the sky and a bit of distance away from the ship. Flaming was really made at this point and dived towards the ship and as he dived he began to think of all the trouble these 2 mechanics caused with the pegasus and phoenix war, humiliating him with a robot that fire didn't work on, humiliating him again with being captured, fooling him with the fakes, ect. this caused Flaming to become so furious that he turned into one big ball of fire as he dived towards the ship and he was going at such speed that he blasted right through the ship and that caused it to be destroyed.

Sketchy and Mystic saw the explosion from the middle of the field that was past the base and started running towards the light of the fire ball.

Flaming Wind crash landed into the ground but was unharmed and he just sat there and cooled off as he saw the ship slowly turn around and start crashing into the mechanical fields about a few miles away. He then saw Sketchy and Mystic run up to him in concern. They started asking questions like "Are you ok?" and all that and Flaming simply replied.

"Yeah, I'm fine...but I don't think they will be." said Flaming as he smiled and pointed the ship crashing into the mechanical fields which also caused the mechanical fields to be destroyed as well. "Well I think that's enough adventure for one day...shall we continue our travels?" Flaming added with a peaceful smile as he walked off.

Sketchy and Mystic just looked at each other and shrugged about Flaming's peaceful attitude and then proceeded to follow him.

So the mechanics were defeated, all the animals were freed from their robotic prisons, and the team just continued to travel until they came across another problem.
