Apple Jack the Ripper

    It was just your avererage day in ponyville. The birds were singing and all seemed well for the Apple family. At least, for now it did.

Recently Grannie Smith had fallen for a flimflam brothers scheme and her life was endangered because of it. Before that the flimflam brothers had nearly succeeded at taking the Apple family's farm with their cider machines. Every time those boys came to town something horrid always seemed to happen to the apples.

    Apple Bloom walked into the house with her head hung low and without a word went to her room. This was not her usual behavior. Normally after school she would skip inside the house with a bright smile and ask everypony how their day was going. But today was different, and Apple Jack, upon seeing her sister like this, had to get to the bottom of this.

    Apple Bloom hadn't even bothered to close her bedroom door. She simply crawled into bed, got under the covers, and began sobbing.

"Apple Bloom?" AJ said as she heard her baby sister cry "What's wrong? Did something happen at school today sugarcube?"

"My face happened!" The little filly sheiked back. "Just look at me! I'm hideous!"

Apple Jack was shocked. This was not Apple Bloom's usual behavior. She'd expect something like this from Sweetie Belle or Rarity, but not her baby sister.

"Apple Bloom, what has gotten into you!"

She lifted her face from the pillow and came out from under the covers to face Apple Jack. What AJ saw there shocked her nearly to the point of fainting.

    Apple Bloom had huge hideous boils all over her face. Her eyes were puffy, not from crying, but with irritation.

"Sweet Celestia," Apple Jack breathed. "How did this happen?"

"It's those flimflam brother's fault," Apple Bloom explained. "Sweetie Belle showed us some face cream Rarity had given her from her trip to Manhattan. While she was there, she saw a flimflam brothers show that advertised this new cream to make fillies beautiful. Sweetie Belle borrowed it, thinking we could use it and earn our cutie marks as beauty ponies. Instead it did this to all of us!"

Apple Jack held the sobbing Apple Bloom and did the only thing a big sister could do. She comforted her baby sister, telling her that everything would be alright and that she was still pretty anyways. The boils were only temporary. Right?

    Honestly AJ didn't know, but she did know one thing. This was those flimflam brother's fault. And they were going to pay for it.
