Chapters I had gotten off the boat from Ludesma to Equestria at some time around eight this morning. The boat dock led to a parking lot which had two roads to take, one to the capitol, Canterlot, and the other to a city at the heart of equestria, Ponyville. I chose the second road, it headed to what I believed to be a town that should be a less expensive place to live seeing that I had only brought fifteen hundred dollars.
The road was long and dusty, cars constantly drove past, forcing me to step of the dirt path into the grass which looked mostly dead this far away from civilization.
"I wish I could just fly there, I would have been there freaking half an hour ago." I grunted at myself angrily as I checked my watch, I had been walking for nearly two hours. I mean it was my fault that my wings were currently wrapped up in bandages, I really should have been more careful.
-One month prior-
"Sparks get your damn head down!" Chief shouted at me from a few barricades down, He was crouched behind his barrier, the butt of his gun placed firmly against his shoulder, his finger on the trigger. I followed his instructions and ducked down behind the barrier, just in time too, because as soon as I ducked bullets flew through the spot my head was before and embedded themselves in the wall behind me.
" Ready to move chief?" I yelled over a spray of bullets, which just bounced off of the metal barricades we were ducking behind. He nodded to me and slung his rifle over his back, at his sign of agreement, we both unlatched the wheels on the barricade and began to slowly wheel them forward. We both temporarily stopped as we heard mortars being fired off behind us. I quietly counted the five rounds as they were fired off in my head before we began to slowly roll forward again, inching towards the enemy.
"Wait!" Chief shouted snapping the latches back to keep the wheels from moving when he did not want them to, when I saw him do this, I did the same. The battlefield had gone silent. I looked back over my shoulder at the mortar team and they stood prepared to fire, they appeared to be scouring the land for enemies.
"Keep your head down boys, all tangoes have just disappeared. We believe they are using rabbit holes so watch your six and stay put." A voice crackled over the radio, easily audible in the quiet landscape. Chief motioned for me to answer the radio as he shouldered his weapon, still awkwardly crouched behind the metal barrier, which was now riddled with dents from bullets previously fired.
"Roger that, Tango two six niner, We will hold our position until the enemy reappears, and if you see those bastards pop out of those holes, Smoke 'em." I responded into the radio shouldering my weapon as soon I had put the walkie back onto my waistline.
"You got it Foxtrot six two one." Tango two six niner responded over the radio before the battlefield was enveloped in silence. I slowly slid down along the shield until I was seated, I had a feeling those ponies wouldn't be poking up their ugly heads for a while. Chief looked over at me and quietly chuckled at me.
"what? I'm watching our six." I proclaimed with as serious a face as possible, only to bust into a small chuckle after saying it. The color in Chiefs face drained and his look went to one of almost pure terror, he was looking over my shoulder. I heard three gunshots in rapid succession, two from behind and one from chiefs gun. I breathed a sigh of relief that I was alright, until I realized he still had a look of fear stuck to his face.
I opened my mouth to speak but then it snapped shut due to the immense pain that shot through my body, emanating from my wings. My knees buckled and I fell forward into the sand, screaming in pain through my still clenched teeth.
"Don't worry Sparks we'll get through this, I got you man. Can you move? can you walk?" I heard chief say over my body, he sounded distant.
"My Tow Belt." I muttered and attempted to reach for the belt which was rolled up and placed in a case fashioned onto my belt. Chief realized what I was talking about and removed the two foot black belt from its pouch, he then hitched it onto the latch which rested between my wings, and the one that was hooked to his belt. Chief began to back up slowly dragging my useless body along the ground, blood dripping from my wings and smearing along the ground as I was being pulled. I unholstered my gun to fire on any ballsy kaikrussians who decided to pop out of the holes. I heard the sounds of mortars firing above us, although they sounded farther away, my consciousness quickly faded after that.
I had been walking all day, and the sun was going down, the temperatures were dropping drastically. A dusty green road sign told me that ponyville was still ten miles away, with a feeling of dread from realization that I wouldn't make it before it was so dark I wouldn't be able to see. There was a bar across the road directly across from the old road sign, hoping to stop in for a drink or a ride.
"we're closed" The bartender said, wiping down the counters which had a pinkish looking alcohol dripping from. I stood staring at him blankly, still processing what he had said, my brain tired from walking all day.
"Guy. we are closed, get out! I gotta get to town soon." The bartender said, pausing what he had been doing, to turn and look to me.
"could you give me a ride to town? Please I could pay you. I'm just moving in from out of country and I don't have anywhere to stay." I pleaded taking a step closer, resting my hand on my duffle bag.
"Look I don't just give rides to strangers, but there is an old mattress in the out back and you could sleep there for the night. There is also an old bike out back and you can have that, someone brought that got drunk and then never came back for it." The bartender said pointing to a backdoor down a hall to his left.
I thanked the man half heartedly and went out the door he had pointed, as soon as it had closed I heard it lock behind me. Everything the man had said was true, there was a dingy old mattress, covered in alcohol stains, the old bike layed on its side next to the bed. With a sigh I layed down and closed my eyes using my duffle bag as a makeshift pillow, almost as soon as my eyes closed I fell asleep.
I woke up just as the sun was starting to rise and took a granola bar out of my duffle bag. I ate it without thinking about it and stood up off the bed, luckily the bike was still there. I stood it up and sat on it, it was to early for this shit. With a yawn I pushed down on the pedals and began to ride towards the town, I figured if I pedaled at a decent rate I should be there in about an hour.
The sun was raised decently high in the sky once I made it into town and I stopped by the message board to look and see if there was anyone renting out a room. There was a hand written note that gave an address and a name: Rarity. I pedaled to the address, the house was large and the design made it look almost like it was frilly. I parked the bike in her driveway next to an extremely fancy car that resembled a Mercedes.
I knocked three times heavily on the door and then fell silent to listen for someone approaching the door. As I waited for this, rarity, person to appear I pulled on my light sweatshirt, I felt it would look nicer than just a tank top, which is what I had on before. I contemplated turning around and leaving because it was so quiet but then I heard footsteps on the stairs. The door swung open revealing a stark white pony with purple hair, she was wearing a thick, sleeveless nightgown.
"Oh I'm sorry if I woke you." I said as I realized that she was still in her night gown, and it made me feel slightly bad.
"Oh No darling, I have been awake for hours, and who are you?" She asked as politely as possible but still sounded slightly rude.
"I'm here for the room. Is it still open?" I stated then asked with a sort of sheepish grin rubbing the back of my neck, hoping she would say that it wasn't.
"Yes its still open, please come in and sit on the couch while a go fetch the paperwork and get changed into something more appropriate, and what did you say your name was?" she asked as she began to walk out of sight, stepping away from the door but leaving it open for me.
"Ember. Ember Sparks." I said as I stepped into the house behind her looking at the frilly interior, I sat on the couch, which was across from an arm chair, separated by a coffee table. Rarity joined me ten minutes later wearing a pin stripe three piece suit, she was also holding a small packet of probably about ten pages of legal documents.
" Alright Mr. Sparks if you don't mind I am just going to ask a few questions. First off, would you mind showing me your Cutie mark?" She asked gesturing to my jacket. I nodded at her and rolled my sleeve up which revealed my cutie mark, a set of sparks as if coming off of a welder. She nodded and wrote something down in her packet.
"And how did you get it darling?" she asked pausing her pen, ready to write down what I was going to say.
"Well I have always enjoyed tinkering with things, toys, phones, radios, and one day as I was trying to invent something I was welding two pieces of black steel together and then it kind of just appeared." I explained as I rolled my jacket sleeve back down. She scribbled on her pad of paper, it confused me that she was documenting such trivial information.
"Have you rented before? Do you own any guns?" She asked again pausing with the pen poising it above her paper, lower down than before.
"I haven't rented before, I used to own a house. Yes I own a gun, I am naturally suspicious of other ponies." She nodded at the first sentence but her face seemed to flinch in fear at the second, but only shortly, returning to a calm and collected mask as she scribbled on the paper.
"Last question Mr. Sparks, why do you need to rent this room?" she asked her final question and it seemed like an easy one, although I realized she probably asked this to everyone.
"I just moved here from Ludesma, I moved because I was injured in the war and wanted to leave the country before war ruined it. " I said flatly trying to be professional even though I had abandoned my country in a time of war, " I actually have a quick question as well, what made you want to rent out the room?"
"My Younger sister passed on a month ago and I-I am sick of looking at the empty room." She choked, out a single tear rolling down the side of her face. After recollecting herself she went to the computer and began to type quite furiously, I assumed she was doing some background checks to find if there was any dirt on me. After about twenty minutes she handed me the packet and instructed me where to sign, she also informed me it was a five hundred dollar payment up front and two hundred dollars a month. Glad that she had decided I could rent the room I gave her seven hundred dollars, the five hundred up front and the two hundred for the month.
Rarity had allowed me to put my bike in the garage and showed me two my room, second on the right. The room was barren, a plain white dresser stood on one side of the bed, a plain white night stand with a lamp on top stood on the other side. The bedspread was a light purple, matching the curtains that hung in front of a large window, longer than it was tall. I smiled as I set my duffle bag full of my tools and my gun, onto the bed and sat down next to it, it was about nine o clock so it wasn't time for lunch but It would be soon. I figured I might as well lay back and take a nap, just a short hour long nap.
I closed my eyes to the peaceful silence, only to have the silence broken by an earth shattering explosion off in the distance.
Author's Note
I originally posted this a few days ago but got an unbelievable amount of dislikes and quite a few comments telling me what to do so I changed the main characters name and slowed down the read because people said it felt too rushed. I also added a bit of logic to the story, I know this chapter may have been boring but trust me the next however many will be more action packed! Tell me what you thought below.
Instinctively from the sound of the explosion, I shot up and grabbed my pistol from my bag, it was buried deep, next to my smart rifle. I tucked the pistol into the waistband of my jeans and let my white tank top fall over top of it.
"What the hell was that?" I asked as I stepped out into the hallway almost running into rarity, who was now wearing a pink button up and black slacks, standing on a pair of glossy red high heels.
"I don't have any idea, but it is making quite a raucous, and I was just about to start working!" She whined, closing the door opposite mine.
"Get the T.V. I'm going to step out and see if I can see anything." I order as I step out of the doorframe and lead the way into the living room. She followed and sat down on the couch getting the remote, I stepped out the door, the neighbors on both sides were doing the same thing. There was a plume of smoke rising from the middle of town, in the background I heard the television click on and rarity scream. Leaving the door ajar I spun in place and ran back in, rarity was visibly shaken.
"The explosion happened in town square, a small bakery which was called sugarcube corner." The announcer said staring towards the camera then signing off for the day.
"My friend Pinkie Pie lives and works there." She said in a state of blatant horror, she was staring down at her phone.
"Try to reach her I'll take my bike and head down there." I stated before heading out into the garage, my bike was standing where I left it and I climbed on. The garage door open and I pedaled hard heading directly towards the giant plume of smoke, which was black with streaks of dark grey. I rolled into the square dodging cars left and right, rolling directly towards the burning building, I thought I heard a scream from inside but I dismissed it.
"Pinkie! Is there someone here named Pinkie Pie?" I yelled letting my bike fall to the ground as I dismounted it.
"That's me! Wait that's not me, I mean who's asking?" I heard a loud upbeat voice yell, quickly changing tones, I looked around for the source of the voice but I couldn't find the yelling pony.
"A friend of rarity's, she is worried about you." I yelled my hands cupped together around my mouth, hoping she could hear me over the uproarious chatter of the crowd.
"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! You're cute, mind letting me borrow your phone so I can call Rarity." The bright pink pony asked as she bounced up and down beside me.
"Um yeah sure." I said and handed the phone to her after I recovered from the shock at what she had said, that being something I hadn't expected. She took the phone and swiftly walked through the crowd out and away from it to hear better as the crowd was quite loud, trying to get the attention of the media.
"Look officer, I'm telling you, I saw a plane flying away! It wasn't no gas explosion." A frantic brown haired pony shouted at a police officer, who just turned his back.
"Officer I have a picture just look!" The man spoke louder flailing his arms, which caused the police officer to turn around.
"Look! I don't have the time for this! I'm trying to get on the line with the freaking fire department leave me alone!" The officer snapped before stalking away from the man.
"There was a plane? And you got a picture of it?" I asked rushing towards him.
"Yeah on my phone take a look." The man presented a picture which had a hazy plane flying away from the cloud of smoke, I could partially make out what appeared to be a Kaikrussia flag.
"Mind if I borrow this to make a quick phone call?" I ask gesturing to the phone and he nods. I dialed a number that I had frequent contact with in the old country, an ally to Ludesma.
"Hello, is this Luna?" I asked into the phone not caring about formalities, I had important information to tell her and her sister.
" yes who is this and how did you receive my number?" Luna snapped from the other end of the phone, clearly in a state of dismay.
"Its ember, I'm sure you have heard of the explosion? It wasn't a gas explosion. A pony here has a picture of a plane leaving the scene." I said trying to reassure her at the same time as giving her necessary information.
"You're in ponyville? why don't you fly on over?" she asked with a bit of confusion.
"Shot in the wings, I cant fly, got any helicopters you can send my way?" I asked pacing in a circle with the phone pressed against my ear. She confirmed and then hung up the phone.
"Can I come with you? " the pink pony asked as soon as I had hung up the phone, she gave me puppy dog eyes.
"We'll see, depends on the helicopter they send." I didn't know why but I felt strangely compelled to get this girl out of here, maybe its how she had just gone through so much, I don't know, but I didn't want to leave her here.
About fifteen minutes later a simple black chopper landed about fifteen feet away, an armed guard shouldered through the crowd, clearing a gap for me.
"Ember? Its good to see you man." The guard spoke, it was Ryan, I worked with him during a small militia attack.
-Two Years earlier-
"Good to meet you Sparks, I assume you have been briefed?" Ryan shouted over the sound of the helicopter, my two other men got off with me and stayed close behind.
"Protect the princesses at any cost!" I shouted back, cocking my smart rifle, it began to glow a bright orange. The glow slightly illuminated my face, even though it was raining. Ryan led me and my two boys up to the ramparts of the castle, the militia stood just out of eyesight, we had orders not to fire until fired upon, luckily we wouldn't have to wait for very long.
"We got gunshots!" One of my men yelled shouldering his rifle, returning fire, the militia stayed just out of sight. I saw the red dot as I heard the gun fire in the distance, the dot was on Ryan's forehead.
"Ryan get down!" I yelled throwing my body against his, knocking him off balance, knocking him out of the bullets path.
"What the hell kind of a name is Ryan anyway?" I say after we hit the ground, as I rolled to my feet, leaving him sprawled across the stone.
"My writer isn't the most creative." He said looking towards the sky, I didn't understand what he said and gave him a puzzled look but he just dismissed it with a wave. I unhooked a grenade from my belt and chucked it over the wall, listening carefully to the explosion, four died, two injured. There was probably only sixty ponies, but that was a rough estimate, no way for me to be completely sure.
I surveyed the area and noticed a large SAM turret pointed towards the sky, it gave me an idea. I slung my rifle over my back and launched into the air, staying below the SAM turret, it was obviously on and I didn't want those missiles being fired at me.
No one was at the site which seemed odd to me, but made it a bit easier, I landed next to the control panel, opening it and shutting down the auto-fire sequence.
"Surface to air missiles just became surface to ground." I say climbing into the control bubble. I had to change a few controls around, mainly so that the missiles would explode on contact with the ground.
"Ryan, you and the boys may want to duck. " I say into the radio waiting for them to be clear before firing, at this, Ryan motioned and the three of them ducked, and I flipped the switch releasing all of the eight missiles.
It left one hell of a crater.
-Present day-
We flew past the crater, landing upon the roof, the princesses, I assumed, were waiting in the large room beneath us. Ryan led us down, bowing to the princesses before stepping out onto the roof and shutting the door behind him, Luna broke from her formal stance and ran to embrace me.
"Its been too long. " She said a tear in her eye as she hugged me tightly.
"Did Ember and Luna have a thing?" The pink pony said to princess Celestia, I forgot we got our formalities out of the way while waiting on the helicopter.
"Yes about three years ago." Celestia replied, looking at Luna as she stepped away from me, she turned to pinkie at what she said next.
"How did he see her on the moon?" Pinkie asked her eyes full of curiosity, looking at me as if I had super powers, or some other nonsensical thing.
"I never went to the moon, that was all a big show to get twilight to stop being such a shut in. It worked very well might I add, but you can never tell her. It would shatter her self esteem." Luna said, her arm still half wrapped around me. Pinkie seemed taken aback by this and half walked, half bounced to me, attempting to plant a kiss on my lips, Luna quickly pushed her aside and stood between us.
"Pinkie It might be best if you waited outside." Celestia said motioning towards the door, Pinkie left glancing over her shoulder at me before shutting the door. Celestia then mentioned the phone and I produced the phone, she plugged it into a computer, enlarged and, enhaced the photo.
"That's Kaikrussian alright, I don't know why but it looks like they are trying to bring Equestria into the war." I said looking out the window to the slight sound of air being chopped.
"Well If its a fight they want, its a fight they've got." Celestia replied slamming her fists against the table. The sound got louder.
"Pricesses I believe its time to go." I said calmly not to arise any panic.
"Why?" Luna asked clinging to my arm, at this point the helicopter bearing the Kaikrussian air defense symbol had appeared in the large glass window.
"Princesses we need to go right..." I didn't even finish my sentence when the missile hit the window tossing me against the wall like a rag doll.
The walls and space around me appeared to be turning black and white, the last thing I saw before I blacked out was the princesses being thrown into the helicopter, their eyes pleading for me to get up and save them.
Author's Note
Ryan is a buddy o mines oc.
Ryan kicked the door open and ran to my side, the world was still hazy, and I had trouble seeing anything farther than twenty or so feet.
"Shit... Kaikrussians... they took... they took the princesses... We gotta get 'em back." I said trying to breath, my voice raspy from ash and dust.
"I know, I know but first we should head back into town and regroup." Ryan said lifting me up over his shoulder, he carried me over what was left of the floor towards the elevator. This made me assume that the helicopter was taken out in the attack, I heard the screech of metal and watched over his shoulder as a large metal object fall, my vision was too blurry to tell what it was, but I had a pretty good idea of what it was.
"I am really good at driving fast, I could have us back to ponyville in no time flat!" She said with a smile, almost as if she was excited that she would get to drive fast. The next thing I could remember was being in the back of a heavily armored guard car, it made sense that she would be able to drive well, me and Ryan had wings so we usually flew everywhere, but she was an earth pony, which meant that her only mode of transport was driving, or public transport. Ryan was sitting in the front seat next to her, and from what I could see through the rearview, Ryan was just about scared to death of how she was driving. All around me were guns, guns and various foldable stocks.
"I have a really good idea." I muttered quietly to myself, I knew Ryan wouldn't be able to hear over the music he was playing, I think it was Metallica. As quickly as I could I began to disassemble three of the shotguns that had fallen off the racks as pinkie drove, then I took apart some of the stocks. With ease I put all of parts together, layering the firing mechanisms to support the now triple barreled automatic shotgun. I looked it over with pride before attaching a clip to each barrel.
"Would ya look at that. Hey Ryan! You like shotguns and stuff yeah?" I ask keeping my latest masterpiece out of sight, not wanting to reveal it yet.
"Yeah! Biggest fan, why?" He asked half turned towards me, although he didn't seem surprised that I was awake.
"Here you might want this, Kaikrussians are ruthless and I think they are planning an attack." I explained as I passed the gun up to him and watched his face for a moment before I began to strip down some military grade rifles.
"holy shi... where did you find this, I didn't think we had this kind of weaponry." he said his face lighting up at the masterpiece of a gun I had created.
"you don't, you have these." I showed one of the automatic shotguns, one of the ones I hadn't used, Then I went back to creating my own gun, layering the metals together. He sat in stunned silence, admiring the gun, turning it end over end, eyeing all of the pieces carefully. I clicked the final piece into the gun, and loaded it, my gun had three barrels as well, I cocked the gun as pinkie pulled into town next to what appeared to be an old farm. I figured Ryan had called his friends and told em to meet up out here.
"So who's this new guy you brought back into town?" I heard a female country accent call out. I kicked open the back doors, my gun in hand, and a cigar hanging out of the corner of my mouth.
"That'd be me." I said slamming the back doors as I stepped over towards the circle, I recognized Rarity but that was it, around her was a purple mare in a dress, an orange mare in overalls and a cowcolt hat, a light yellow mare in a sweatshirt and some lightly fitted jeans, and a blue mare in tight fitted jeans and a jersey.
"He needs to be about twenty percent cooler." The blue one said eyeing me up and down, her hands were in her pockets.
"And you could be about twenty percent shutting the hell up." I said taking a step towards her my teeth gritted in frustration, she obviously didn't understand the seriousness of the situation.
"That's RainbowDash, and this is Twilight sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity, and of course you already know pinkie pie." He motioned to the respective mares and mentioned pinkie as she got out of the driver seat.
"Well what's the plan Ryan?" Applejack asked as she sauntered over towards him, he wrapped his arm around her waist, shaking his head and letting the group know he didn't have one, and that I could come up with one.
"Well these guys we are dealing with, they took the princesses, and they won't quit until they destroy your country, that must have been what happened, Ludesma, my country probably defeated them and the came here." I said motioning with my hands, I couldn't stop that, it was a natural thing.
"Okay then why don't we defeat them and take the princesses back." Rainbow blurted out, her arms crossed in defiance.
"Its not that simple, My country had fifty thousand soldiers deployed, and it took us eight months to stop them, We would need a hell of a lot of ponies to stop them.' I say shaking my head slightly, her expression turned to one of fear once I explained how dire the situation truly was.
"Okay well then what's the best thing that we could do to help Mr...." Twilight said trailing off as she got to my name, okay Ryan hadn't told them my name, not a big deal.
"Its Ember, Ember Sparks. The best thing you could probably do is get everyone out of the city, I don't know where to tell them to go, just get them out, me and Ryan will go round up whatever police we can." I said before using a map and sectioning off parts of the city for everyone to take.
"Um Ember What happened to your wings?" Twilight asked as I was walking back to the truck.
"I was shot." I say gruffly opening the back doors, throwing my homemade rifle into the truck, preparing to step in.
"How long ago?" She shouted out stopping me from getting into the truck, I found this strange, why would it matter.
"two months, why does it matter?" I asked stepping away from the door folding my arms, I had grown accustomed to having the bandages, but at the mention, I became aware of their uncomfortable presence.
"I know a spell that can heal wounds over a month and a half old, I learnt it from the hospital, if you just come back with me to my house, I can heal your wings with no problem." She said moving towards the drivers seat. After a moments thought I agreed and she drove us back towards, a giant tree at the edge of Ponyville. Inside amongst the books was a work table, with dark red candles, accompanied by vials full of purple liquids that seemed to glow. Soon I was strapped into a chair and being warned that this would hurt like hell, I nodded and she began to chant words in a different language.
Her eyes began to glow white, and her horn began to glow purple, the same color as the stuff in the vials. It surrounded me before pushing itself into the exposed holes in my wings, it was agonizing. Screams soon filled the air, screams coming through my gritted teeth, my hands clenched the chair so tightly my knuckles began to change to a lighter color of purple.
The pain was so intense it caused my vision to fade, and for me to loose consciousness.
I woke up and stood warily, I stretched my back and my wings spread out around me.
"Impressive wingspan, what is that seven feet?" I heard what I thought to be RainbowDash ask from behind me. I spun and behind me everyone stood, all six of those girls and Ryan.
"We got everyone out, and the police are waiting outside to be briefed." Ryan informed me, it felt weird stretching my wings in front of everyone, so I furled them tightly against my back.
"I'm guessing I was out for quite some time then wasn't I?" I asked sheepishly rubbing the back of my head, upset I didn't get to help.
"No you were only passed out for two or three minutes, that's record time, everyone is usually asleep for at least an hour."Twilight said in a matter of factly tone.
"Alright, well, somebody get me a ladder so I can do this. " I asked, looking towards a window that was up high.
Ryan produced a ladder and I climbed it to the second story window, I opened it and stood on the ledge, there were sixty to seventy ponies below me, some were in uniforms, while others were in day to day clothes. Rainbow offered me a mega phone but I politely declined, I was in the military, my voice would be plenty loud enough.
"Mares and Gentlecolts, we have gathered here today with an army lurking at our door, I can assure you this army does not want to sell us Foal Scout Cookies! This army is ready to tear us to pieces, and break our lovely home down. We cant let them do that, We must take arms and fight, repel the enemy! Now who is with me!" I shouted out to the crowd, holding onto the window frame, they cheered back.
"Everyone take a Machine Gun or a Shotgun from the back of that truck, divide into groups and divide the city into sectors, one group to each sector! Anything suspicious report on the radios, otherwise stay off them, we don't want to compromise allies! Remember we have they home field advantage! Your orders are to shoot and kill any opposing threats! Hoorah!" I shouted looking over the crowd pleased, they all filed into lines and began collecting weapons, I climbed back down the ladder and picked up my gun off the floor, I had brought it in when I came in earlier.
Pinkie Pie and RainbowDash were holding assault rifles, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle were both holding high powered sniper rifles, AppleJack and Fluttershy held double barrel shotguns, and Ryan held the custom gun I had made him.
"Look girls I think its sweet you want to help and all but..." I began to say how it was to dangerous, but Ryan cut me off.
"These mares wont take No for an answer Ember, just don't argue. So what do we do now?" Ryan interjected, diffusing a possible fight, and asking a crucial question.
"Well the only thing we can do, wait for them to make the mistake of knocking at our door."
