Arriving In Appleloosa

Rhythm flicked her bright blue mane as she looked at the outskirts of Appleloosa and kept on walking down the sandy trail, she glanced at the building or more like barn structures however she could see nopony in sight. Rhythm got up and flicked her tail before stopping and looking around her, there were meadows full of lush grass, different types of crops on the nearby fields and several large barns where the hay will be stored when it is harvested, there was a sweet honey smell in the air along with a warm breeze, the hot summer rays was beating down onto the sandy trail making an apparition off the surface similar to one you will find in a desert or off a metal surface.

After walking a good several miles Rhythm the music pony finally came to the town of Appleloosa, she saw several houses which looked rather important among the small shops lining the high streets, she considered these houses as the richer more older families who had inhabited this town over many generations. Rhythm blinked before rummaging in her saddlebag on her side, there was a small map of the town where she would find instructions to her new home. The blue unicorn quickly read the route and put the map away hating the thought that the townsfolk would consider her a tourist or some lost filly in a new setting. Rhythm lifted her nose and walked from the richer part of the town in the centre and back towards the outer side of the town, she continued north for around 100 hoof steps (or 75 meters to you or me). Rhythm blinked as she stared at a grey house nest to other grey houses This Will Not Do she thought as she glanced at the house and glanced back at her map, 32 Hoofington was the address and here she was, she read the house sign and snorted as she realised she was in the right house. She used her telekinesis power and lifted the key from her saddle bag and used it on the grey oak door which made a sharp *Click*sound, thus cleared all doubt at being in the wrong house.

Rhythm's House

Rhythm walked into the small house, and looked around, on the downstairs was her kitchen, living room, dining room and a small messy garden out back, upstairs was not much better with a messy bedroom and a bathroom along with a guest room, to her dismay there was only some sort of shower instead of a lovely bathtub which she preferred anyway. On closer inspection of the bathroom there was a clannish sink and wash area, toilet as expected and some mould growing above the shower which had seen better days. Rhythm wondered to her bedroom and sighed, the bedroom was out of fashion and it definitely needed a makeover. Rhythm decided one thing at a time, threw her saddlebag down on the bed and left the bedroom walking down the stairs which were also made of oak similar to the floors of all the rooms of the house which were oak flooring. Downstairs the kitchen was well equipped and to Rhythms satisfaction, the dining room was slightly smaller than expected but will serve her purpose since she wouldn't have many guests around and the living room was standard with a bookshelf, two brown oak chairs, a sofa and a radio.

The house design was of a modern layout, the ground floor had two doors a front and a back, the front door was a grey coloured hardened oak with a silver mailbox, while the outside had been painted grey to fit in with the other houses next to it, there were two windows looking outside the ground floor one of either side of the front door, around the back of the house there was another grey door which led to the small garden out back, the garden was around 10*4 meters squared resulting in a strange layout of small beds and an apple tree down the far end of the house. There was only one window next to the back door and this came from the dining room area, the kitchen was next to the front door while the living room was in the middle of the two, several doors allowed easy access into each room. Upstairs the bedroom was above the dining room, the bathroom was above the living room and the kitchen was a spare bedroom.

Rhythm decided that the house would do, however she would go shopping so she could finish up the place, she also decided to paint the outside of the house the same colour of her coat, the roof would also be painted the same colour of her mane. Rhythm went back downstairs and flicked though several large books advertising local services, after finding the local decorator she wrote them a letter explaining what she would want to be done on her house. Rhythm then went back to her room and picked up her bag and put the letter inside before closing it, after levitating it back onto her shoulder she went downstairs and left the house making sure to double lock it as she left.

Outskirts Of Appleloosa

Rhythm walked down the cobblestone path towards the centre of Appleloosa and made a mental map of where everything was located, there was a small coffee shop five minutes from her house, along with several local shops nearby. Rhythm glanced at a nearby shop realising it was selling locally grown crops, she decided to visit it taking care not to tread on any of the carrots or whatnot that was on the floor, apart from the strange earthy smell coming from inside it looked rather professional. Rhythm looked around before spotting several large orange carrots, she liked carrots which was one of her favourite types of food, not many things beats raw carrot in Rhythm's view well apart from her music of course but you couldn't eat that. Rhythm walked over to the bundle of carrots and forgetting where she was took a large bite of several of them however while she was happily nibbling on them there came several loud coughs behind her.

Rhythm looked around with her mouthful of carrot and blinked at the other grey colour mare with blue eyes who looked slightly ticked off. "Erm I like carrots" she explained to the store owner. The store owner frowned "call me haystack, and what the buck? You going to pay for that or do you think walking into every shop and eating everything is ok?" she growled flicking her tail in annoyance. "that snack their going to set you back a good 20 bits, you got no cash on you that’s not my problem and if that’s the case enjoy talking to the mayor about it, maybe it teach you some sense" she added narrowing her eyes at Rhythm. Rhythm swallowed the rest of the carrots "can I pay you later? And I’m kind of new here so I don't know your customs?" she added starting to also become agitated. Sandy rolled her eyes "your custom?, so where your from its ok for a stranger to wonder into a shop or house and eat everything?, cut the crap and get the buck out before I really lose it" Sandy roared before grabbing Rhythms tail and dragging her out of the shop, "come back when you get bits, some manners and common sense" she added before closing the door to the blue unicorn.
