The First Autumn Moon Celebration

Luna's P.O.V

I fly through the dreamscape, and I can see how many names are in the dreamscape.  Those names are on the doors- doors that stand without walls.  I notice a door that says "Scootaloo," and then I use my magic to see what's happening in the dream.  I sense that she is having a nightmare.  I walk through the door, and two fillies seem to be laughing at Scootaloo.

"Stop," I declared.  The two fillies disappear from the dream as a result.

I land onto the ground, and then I approach Scootaloo.  Her wings seem to be glued to her body.  "Greetings, Scootaloo. Last time we met, you were afraid of disappointing Rainbow Dash.  Is there a problem that is bothering you in the waking world?" I said.

"Princess Luna! I remember your words from last time.  Besides that, those fillies that are laughing at me are the bullies from school.  They always tease me and my friends about not having cutie marks," She replied, "They even made fun of how bad I am at flying."

I use my magic to free Scootaloo's wings.  "Scootaloo, I couldn't imagine how it must have felt," I said, "Have you considered standing up to them?"

"I have, but they still tease us even though I tell them to stop," Scootaloo responded.

"Have you ever tried flying?"

"A few times, actually. How do most pegasi and alicorns fly with ease?"

"I have a lot of experience in flying.  My sister, who rises and lowers the sun, no longer flies, despite seeming capable enough to do so.  She lets her pegasi guards carry her around in the air."

I spread out my wings, and then I fly into the air for a second.  "Just spread out your wings and bend your legs so that you can fly. Try this," I said.

Scootaloo spreads out her wings, and then she bends her legs.  She flaps her wings very hard as she levitates into the air.  She moves forward until she drops onto the ground.  "Why is it so hard for me?" She asked.

"It takes practice. Be patient in your practice, and then you'll be in the air in no time," I replied.

Scootaloo once again flies into the air.  She flies a bit farther, and she is even higher in the air.  She once again drops onto the ground.  She smiles this time.  "I'm gonna be as good as Rainbow Dash someday," She said, "I gotta show the foals that I can fly.  That way, they would be impressed, and then Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon will leave me and my friends alone."

"When are you going to show them?"

"Tomorrow, during recess."

I land onto the ground, and I smile at Scootaloo.  She has more confidence right now.  "Just don't be a show-off though," I said, "That may get into the way of your education and your friendship with the ones that you're most close to."

I fly out of the dream, and I am in the middle of the dreamscape once again.  I use my magic to get out of the dreamscape.  It is almost dawn, and I have to lower the moon.  I quickly lower the moon, and then the sun rises.  Celestia walks into my room, and she starts to speak.  "You now have a celebration, Luna. It is the Autumn Moon Celebration, and it will happen tonight.  On every October 23rd, the celebration will happen," She said.

"Thanks, sister!" I replied as I hug Celestia.

"You're welcome. Also, get some rest," She said as she walks out of the room.

Twilight's P.O.V

I wake up with a start, and then I hear a knock on the door.  I walk downstairs, and then I open the door.  My friends walk in, and then Spike coughs out a letter.  The letter is from Celestia.  I read the letter, and it is about a new kind of celebration.  "The Autumn Moon Celebration happens tonight," I said, "We must prepare for the celebration."

"So we're gonna watch the moon rise tonight?" Apple Jack asked.

"Did somepony say celebration?" Pinkie asked.

"Are we gonna go through-" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Sheesh, Rainbow! Seriously," I interrupted.

"How did you know what I'm going to say?"

"I can pretty much tell by your facial expression."

"It's going to be a bit chilly tonight. I will wear my best scarf," Rarity said.

"Are you going to be onstage with Princess Luna?" Fluttershy asked me.

"Of course," I replied.

"Speaking of celebrations, I think the abandoned house in downtown Ponyville will serve as a haunted attraction for Nightmare Night! It's been cleaned out, and some of the actors will masquerade as spooky characters and scare the other ponies," Pinkie said, "And some regular ponies will do the same thing."

"That's awesome, Pinkie!" Rainbow Dash told Pinkie.

"Twilight, I will make a warm dress for you. And then you'll try it on once I'm done making one," Rarity told me.

I follow Rarity to the boutique, and then Rarity starts working on a dress.

Pinkie's P.O.V

I lead Rainbow Dash to the abandoned house in downtown Ponyville.  The abandoned house's exterior is creepy- and it also has a Gothic feel to it.  "Rainbow Dash, the ponies will start here, and then they will get into the entrance. They will explore the first floor first, and then they go to the second floor.  After that, they will go into the backyard and then run off of the property," I said as I lead Rainbow around.

The floorboards creak with every step, and the same goes for the stairs.  The doors also make a creaking sound.  There are spooky decorations on the walls and the ceiling.  "Do you think our friends can handle going through this place?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Not really- but you and Apple Jack are brave.  Rarity doesn't like gore, and Fluttershy would not come to town for Nightmare Night.  Twilight may get scared a few times," I replied, "I don't get scared, but I tend to be nervous sometimes."

"Alright, then. I'll hang out with the Wonderbolts."

I smile in response as I rush off of the property.  I then hop over to Sugarcube Corner to make some sweets for tonight.  A few hours pass as I finish making the sweets.

Twilight's P.O.V

"Did you like the dress?" Rarity asked.

I look at myself in the mirror for a few seconds.  "It is pretty," I replied.

"You will wear this tonight, along with the crown.  You're so lucky to be a princess."

"I have never asked for the title.  I've always thought that I'm just Twilight Sparkle, but Cadence once told me that I'm anything but a regular unicorn."

"And that's true.  If I was you, I'd wear the dress and crown."

I nod in response.  Ever since I became a princess, Rarity would talk about how lucky I am to be a princess.  Wasn't being a princess every fillies' dream?  That wasn't my dream when I was really young.  The sun starts to set as Rarity leads me out of the botique.  "I never thought that I would be designing for a recently ascended royal," She said.

"You aren't the only designer that creates my dresses. There's designers in Canterlot that are responsible for that," I replied.

"Canterlot is so fancy, but I didn't get to stay there for a long time because my friends here are more important."

"I see.  That's a lesson you once learned when you used to stay in that place for a while."

Pinkie pops out of the bush, and starts to speak.  "The celebration's starting," She said, "We gotta be there! And Twilight has to be onstage-" She said.

"I know," I interrupted politely as I approach the stage.

I walk onto the stage, and Princess Luna is already onstage.  This time, I stand next to her instead of Celestia.  "Greetings, citizens of Equestria! I may present the new celebration, called the Autumn Moon Celebration! I thank my sister for arranging this for me," Luna announced.

"I must announce this.  Princess Luna and I are in a relationship," I added in, "We've been in a relationship since a few days ago."

Celestia lowers the sun, and then Luna rises the moon.  The citizens cheer at the sight of the moonrise.  The cool autumn breeze blows my mane as I smile at the audience.  A few minutes later, I walk off the stage.  "I couldn't believe that you're already open about the relationship just now," Rarity said.

"Have a cupcake?" Pinkie asked.

"It is a glorious moonrise. It's too bad that Rainbow forgets about the celebration," Apple Jack said.

"I like the sun better," Fluttershy said.

"Okay, girls," I said.

Princess Luna approaches me, and I smile at her.  Our faces are mere inches apart, and she presses her lips against mine.  I press my lips against hers in response.  A second later, we gently break from the kiss.  Luna flies into the air.  "I will go home with my sister," She said, "We may attend to our duties."
