Romance in the Air

Twilight's P.O.V

As I walk downstairs, my friends are waiting near the door.  "How long have you had a crush on her?" Fluttershy asked.

"I have had a crush on her ever since I first saw her," I replied, "She is so beautiful like the night sky."

"Well, she was evil one time. Is she gonna turn back?" Rainbow Dash said.

"She's not gonna turn back. All of the Nightmare is purged out of her!" I replied, "Did you not see the Elements turn her back to good?"

"Yeah, right."

"Let's ignore Rainbow Dash. Speaking of that, Princess Luna is immortal.  Are you also going to be immortal? Like, you're going to be the goddess of Friendship?" Apple Jack asked.

"Possibly," I replied.

"If there's going to be more alicorns, I'll throw an alicorn party!" Pinkie said.

"They're rare- and I'm not sure if there's really gonna be an alicorn party," I corrected her.

We pause for a moment before continuing to speak.  "So, Twilight, have you known yourself to be lesbian or bisexual?" Apple Jack asked.

"Yes. I've known that ever since I was younger.  I haven't decided to come out back then because I feared that some ponies may make fun of me," I replied.

"Have you kissed a mare before?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Not really- and this week I have done that for the first time," I said.

"You kissed her?" Rarity asked, "I guess the rumors are true.  A few ponies have seen that happen."

"I wonder how Celestia may have found out though," Fluttershy said.

"Maybe a guardspony told her," Pinkie Pie told Fluttershy, "But we're not sure. We're not gonna rush Twilight into coming out to the whole kingdom, though."

"And neither would Celestia rush her sister into doing so," Rarity added in.

"Speaking of that, I will throw a party at Sugarcube Corner for somepony," Pinkie said.

"And I will tend to my animals," Fluttershy added in.

"I'm going to have a visit from the fashion critic today, so I gotta go," Rarity said.

"I'm supposed to train with the Wonderbolts today," Rainbow Dash said.

"The months are getting cooler- I'm needed at the farm to harvest the apples.  And Nightmare Night is coming soon," Apple Jack said.

They all walk out the door.  Spike coughs out a letter, and then I start reading the letter.  Cadence is coming for a visit? I rush to the train station to greet Cadence, and she hops off the train a second later.  "How are you?" I asked.

"I'm okay.  Well, the nightmares have stopped just a bit.  How are you?" She replied.

"I'm good.  I went to the gala last night, and Luna and I kissed in the courtyard.  That's when Celestia finds out about our relationship.  After that, my friends learned of what has happened. Some seemed to accept."

"What? Really? I couldn't believe that Celestia was being nosy last night."

We both break into laughter, and then Cadence starts to act a bit serious, yet still amused.  "How long have you known yourself to be bisexual or something like that?" She asked.

"Ever since I was young.  Well, I haven't had enough courage to come out because some ponies could make fun of me. I haven't kissed a mare back then, but this week, I have kissed one, which is Luna," I replied.

"And why haven't you come out to me long ago when I used to foalsit you?"

"Because I thought that you'd get angry with me."

"I'm not mad, Twilight.  I'm just curious.  Let me tell you a bit more about same-sex relationships and such.  Long ago in medieval times, it is seen as sinful- and if somepony in that time is attracted to the same sex, then they will get imprisoned or worse.  That kind of discrimination lasted until the late 1900s.  Same-sex relationships are beginning to become more tolerated."

"How do you know?"

"Because I'm the princess of love, remember?"

"Yeah, right. How is my brother?"

"Shiny, you mean? Well, he's doing okay."

We walk to the Ponyville spa, and then we enter the place.  "Has my brother gotten any nightmares from the events?" I asked.

"A little bit. A lot of ponies were traumatized from what has happened to them," Cadence replied.

Luna's P.O.V

I walk into the castle's living room, and Celestia is in there.  "Luna, why haven't you told me of your feelings for Twilight?" She asked.

"Because you're protective of her," I replied, "I don't think you would have approved of me dating her."

"That reason doesn't always hold true.  I will accept that you are both in love. What was your first impression of her?"

"My first impression of her? I thought she was adorable."

"That's all?"

"No, not really.  She's understanding, she's caring, she's smart, and she likes the night more than she likes the day."

Celestia smiles for a second.  "That's what I thought.  When Twilight is younger, She used to look out the window using her telescope.  She'd stay up past her bedtime," She said, "Sometimes when I remind her that it's past her bed time, she would say that she'd rather stay up some more. And then I would say that she would need some rest for the next day."

"I see," I replied, "Some ponies do enjoy the night in the current era, unlike so long ago."

"Of course. Twilight is really smart when it comes to astrology.  When she was still in school, she would get an A in most classes.  Friendship used to not matter to her long ago."

"I must ask you something. What has Sunset Shimmer done that has caused her to be kicked out of the School for Gifted Unicorns?"

"She wanted to be a princess, but I refused to make her one, and she made a foolish choice of going to the alternate reality- the world that Twilight has once entered to get the crown back."

"So, you have the Summer Sun Celebration, right? I wonder if I can get my own celebration, where they will see the glorious moon rise."

"You want your own celebration, Luna? I'll think of it, and once I decide, I will tell you later."

I nod in response as I walk out of the living room.

Pinkie Pie's P.O.V

For a pony that deserves a party like this, Drama Queen is hard to impress.  She likes high-quality things, but she has a bit of a fun side.  She is a unicorn that comes from Fillywood, where most celebrities live.  She has golden brown hair and a cream colored coat.  She has emerald eyes that glitter.  Her cutie mark is a theater stage.

She's performed in multiple plays like Little Mares and Wicked.  She has that signature smile that she flashes when she speaks with others.  I lend a few cupcakes to Drama Queen, and she takes a small bite out of the chocolate cupcake.  "Don't you like it?" I asked.

She pauses for a moment, and then she smiles.  "The taste is okay," She replied.

"Do you wanna play any of those fun games?" I concluded.

She notices the dance floor, and then she walks over.  "I request upbeat music," She said.

I turn on the music, and then she starts dancing.  I start dancing to the upbeat music, and Cheese Sandwich does the same thing.

Fluttershy's P.O.V

The cool autumn breeze blows my pastel pink mane as I feed the squirrels.  I hum a little song as I walk over to the bird house.  One of the birds pop out of the bird house, and I pick up a worm.  I then give the worm to the bird, and the bird takes the worm into its mouth.  A butterfly lands on top of my nose, and I smile.  "Hello there, little one," I said.

The butterfly then lands onto one of the flowers.  A group of fillies, who call them the "Cutie Mark Crusaders," approach me as I walk over to the little squirrels.

"Hey, Fluttershy. We have accidentally chased one of the bunnies into the Everfree Forest," Apple Bloom said.

"Really? That's dreadful. You stay here while I look for the bunny," I replied with nervousness.

"You can't go alone! Remember the time when Twilight is turned to stone by a cockatrice?" Sweetie Belle warned.

"I use the stare, remember?" I asked.

"Okay then," Scootaloo said.

I trot into the scary forest, and the eerie noises echo throughout the place as I walk deeper into the forest.  "Come out," I called, "I know you ran away, little bunny. Come back to me. It's me, Fluttershy."

There was no response- and that is because a bunny can't make sounds, right? I look around cautiously for the dangerous creatures.  I hope that the creatures don't eat the bunny.  I notice a bunny hopping out of the bush, and I smile as I approach the bunny.  "Hello there, little one.  Come back home with me," I said.

The bunny gets onto my back as I trot back out of the forest.  "Sorry about chasing the bunny into the forest," Scootaloo said.

"That's okay. Everypony makes mistakes sometimes. Go along home, girls," I replied.

I enter the cottage, and to my surprise, the interior is upside down.  I smile at Discord's chaotic antics.  "Discord, what were you up to?" I asked.

"Oh! I decided to make it chaotic," He replied as he snaps his fingers.   The interior changes back to normal as a result.

I give Discord a kiss, and he responds with a kiss on my forehead.
