“Princess Celestia!!! Princess Celestia!!!” A small cream colored mare dashes to the castle. Two burly guards stop her and stand in her way, one well muscled shoulder next to the other.

“You do not have an appointment to see the princess. You must leave the premises.” One of the guards said in a gruff voice.

“You don’t understand!!! I must speak with her!!! It’s life-threatening!!!” The mare yelled and strained to see past the guards.

Princess Celestia had seen the mare galloping to the palace as if her life depended on it so she trotted down the steps and approached the entrance. “Let me deal with her. Thank you.” She said and nodded her head to the mare.

“Princess Celestia, I am so sorry for coming to you like this but it’s urgent. Ponyville…. Ponyville is reducing in numbers… More and more ponies are disappearing each day… It’s… Pinkinema… She’s gone insane!!” The mare explained and tried to blink back the tears welling in her eyes. “My best friend is gone… Lyra Heartstrings…” Hot, fat tears streamed down the pony’s cheeks as she thought of her best friend.

Princess Celestia remained calm on the outside but mentally she was losing it. Of all ponies, Pinkie Pie? How could this have happened? After shaking herself from her thoughts, she noticed the mare was crying. “Miss Bon Bon… I am so sorry for your loss… Please let me fix you something to eat and we can continue to chat.”

The two conversed for what seemed like hours about Ponyville. Princess Luna raised her moon and noticed her sister was still awake talking to an earth pony who looked rather distressed. She sat down and listened to their conversation, getting a feel for what was going on. “I think we should talk to Twilight about this.” Luna added when there was a silence. The two mares looked at the dark princess and nodded in agreement.

After sending Bon Bon off, Princess Celestia called for her faithful student and fellow princess, Twilight Sparkle. After some time, a knock at her door startled her from her thoughts. She opened the door to see the now matured, Twilight Sparkle. “Thank you for seeing me, Twilight.” She said with a half-hearted smile.

“It’s no problem at all, princess. What is it that you need to talk to me about?” Twilight replied and looked at her former mentor with curiosity. She could see the fear and trouble in her eyes.

“It’s about Ponyville’s current situation… Pinkie… Well, now Pinkinema, has been murdering ponies… Yesterday, Bon Bon raced here to tell me about it. She said more and more ponies are disappearing and she doesn’t show any signs of stopping.” The princess continued to inform Twilight on all that Bon Bon had told her. After several moments of silence, Twilight answered.

“It must have been…” She started to say. She sat down and stared hard at the floor, remembering when it had happened. “A month or so ago, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash had broken up… Rainbow had told me that Pinkie was too overbearing and such… We had a picnic to try and get the two to become friends again. Rainbow and Fluttershy had walked off, Pinkie Pie in the shadows. She saw and overheard Rainbow asked Fluttershy to be her marefriend… I think that’s what set Pinkie off… She hasn’t been the same since… And I’ve been gone this whole time… She was all alone…” Twilight explained and felt her cheeks become wet with tears. She wiped her cheeks with a fore hoof and sniffled. She felt the warm wing of Celestia’s rest on her back. She looked up at her mentor and was met with a warm, comforting smile.

“Twilight, it’s okay. But we need to figure out what we are going to do with Pinkinema.” Celestia said and her expression turned grim. She felt Twilight straighten and saw she had put on her own grim expression, looking out of place on the normally happy pony’s face.

“There’s only one thing we can do. I’ll take care of it.” Twilight said and trotted towards the door. “Thank you, Princess Celestia. I’ll make sure this stops.” She added over her shoulder as she walked out.
