Doctor Whooves 50th anniversary: The Quest of the Doctor

When the Doctor had wired the head into the console he threw switch, the Tardis rocked violently and the words                          ‘transmission analysed signal anomaly’ flashed up on a wall mounted monitor screen.                                                                      “What’s happening?” Jo asked,                                                                                                                                                       “There appears to be something wrong with this signal” Doctor replied, “It looks like it’s being bounced around the galaxy to obscure authority” he continued. The monitor screen changed to show what looked like a giant plug hole in space,                                                  “and that would be?” Applejack asked,                                                                                                                                            “That looks like a space portal” Jo’s Doctor said,                                                                                                                            “Maybe we should just leave it” Lyra suggested,                                                                                                                                   “I wonder what’s on the other side” Jo’s Doctor wondered aloud                                                                                                                      “I don’t know if that’s a good idea” Colgate said trying to persuade Jo’s Doctor,                                                                                           “even if we go through this portal what are we going to do when we get to the other side?” Colgate asked                                                                                                                                                                                    “I’ll do what I’ve always done Miss Colgate” Jo’s Doctor said,                                                                                                                “And that is?” Colgate asked,                                                                                                                                                          “Improvise” he replied and with that Jo’s Doctor pressed a button on the console and the Tardis rocked violently again.                           Alarms went off, Jo’s Doctor dashed around the console pressing buttons and pulling levers.                                                                                                                                                             “Hold tight everypony” he shouted, “the coordinates are constantly changing”.                                                                                         Jo’s Doctor pulled one last lever and the Tardis stopped rocking about.                                                                                              “We’ve arrived” Jo’s Doctor said.                                                                                                                                                    “Where are we?” Applejack asked a little shaken from the trip.                                                                                                                       “Let’s find out” Jo’s Doctor replied he flicked a switch and the monitor screen from earlier flickered on to show nothing but empty whiteness.                                                                                                                                                                                        “And when are we?” Lyra asked.                                                                                                                                                              Jo’s Doctor flicked another switch and some text flashed up on the screen,                                                                                          “Well according to the scanner,” Jo’s Doctor said, “we’re nowhere and no time”.                                                                                           Jo, Lyra, Colgate and Applejack all looked taken aback, “what do you mean No Time?” Lyra asked.                                                                            “According to the Tardis where ever we are doesn’t exist” Jo’s Doctor explained.                                                                                           “Is it safe to go outside?” Colgate asked.                                                                                                                                            “The scanner says that the air is breathable” Jo’s Doctor said he pressed the door control and he, Jo, Applejack, Lyra and Colgate followed him.

Back in Grace’s Tardis Twilight, Grace and Grace’s Doctor had watched on their Tardis scanner as Jo’s Doctor’s Tardis go into the space portal, “we’ve got to go after them” Twilight said franticly dashing around the Tardis console trying to operate the controls                                                                                                                              “You know I don’t know we came” Grace’s Doctor said he pointed to the scanner which showed the space portal disappearing,                                                                                                                                     “What are we going to do Doctor” Grace asked,                                                                                                                                 “There is only one thing to do Grace” Grace’s Doctor said                                                                                                                 “what’s that?” Grace asked                                                                                                                                                                “we need to head to the planet Telos and regroup with my other selves” Grace’s Doctor said                                                                            “I hope Applejack is alright” Twilight said,                                                                                                                                       “She’ll be alright if she’s with my third self” Grace’s Doctor said reassuringly he was about to input the course for Telos when some ghostly ponies appeared one of them looked just like Twilight’s Doctor except he was wearing a green tie he was companied by an orange coloured unicorn pony with a ginger mane and tail he had some technician goggles around his neck.

Next to him was a grey coloured stallion next to him was a light blue unicorn with an even lighter blue mane and tail.                                Next to her stood a pony that also looked like Twilight’s Doctor except he was wearing a red bow tie and some what looked like gold and brown coloured technician goggles on his head.                                                                                                                    Next to him stood a darker grey Pegasus he also looked a lot like Twilight’s Doctor except for his wings and his was an even darker grey. Next to him stood a pony who also looked like Twilight’s Doctor except the pony was a mare.                                                              She was wearing a pink bowtie alongside her were some ponies that looked just like Twilight and her friends except they were stallions                                                                                                                                                                           “Who are these ghost’s Doctor?” Grace asked her Doctor                                                                                                                       “I’ve no idea Grace” Grace’s Doctor replied he turned to Twilight “do you know these ghost Twilight?” he asked                                                                                                                                                             “only three of them” Twilight replied pointing at the pony wearing the green tie and the light blue unicorn, the female pony in the pink bowtie and stallion version of her                                                                                                                                                                              “Hello can you hear us?” the grey stallion asked Grace’s Doctor, Grace and Twilight all nodded,                                                                                                                                                                                  “Right” the stallion with the goggles began but before he could continue he was interrupted by the stallion in the green tie,                                                                                                                                                 “Hello Twilight remember me?” he said in a childish voice                                                                                                                 “Please stop bothering me” the stallion in with the goggles said giving the stallion in the green tie a look,                                                                                                                                                                                       “You know I don’t care about being destroyed” the darker grey Pegasus stallion said depressingly                                                      “What do you mean being destroyed?” Grace’s Doctor asked                                                                                                            “Well as my other was trying to say” the lighter grey stallion said                                                                                                          “you and the others must break off your search for the key to time segments” he said,                                                                                                      “Why?” Grace’s Doctor asked                                                                                                                                              “Because it’s a…” was all the stallion in the green tie could say before he and the other stallions and their companions faded                                                                                                                                               “Could you explain who those ponies were Twilight?” Grace’s Doctor asked Twilight                                                                                     “Ok, but you might find it hard to believe” Twilight replied                                                                                                                      “after all that’s happen today I believe anything” Grace’ Doctor said raising an eyebrow                                                                           “Me too” Grace said                                                                                                                                                                        “Alright” Twilight said and she explained to Grace and Grace’s Doctor who the ghost ponies were after she’d finished Grace’s Doctor looked a bit confused as did Grace                                                                                                                                                        “I told you it would hard to believe” Twilight said                                                                                                                                   “So those ghost were other version of your Doctor or me from parallel and other universes” Grace’s Doctor said trying to get his head what Twilight had told him                                                                                                                                                                         “And those other ponies with them were there companions” Grace concluded also finding it hard to take on what she had just been told                                                                                                                                                                                          “Whatever the Master is going to do with the Key to Time and The Hoof of Omega it is effecting other universe and parallel universe” Grace’s Doctor said                                                                                                                                                                            “What are we going to do?” Grace asked                                                                                                                                             “We need to help those parallel Doctors first” Grace’s Doctor said                                                                                                             “How?” Twilight asked                                                                                                                                                                  “Well I could use the Tardis to lock onto their Tardises and transport them and companions here” Grace’s Doctor explained                                                                                                                                                  “Right let’s get to it” Grace said she and Twilight took up positions around the control console,                                                     “Activating the Eye of Harmony” Grace’s Doctor said pulling a lever                                                                                                   “Activating the Space Time telegraph system” Grace said pressing a switch                                                                                                   “and with a little magic boost” Twilight said touching her horn to the console.                                                                                           The Tardis groaned and the console sparked and fizzed,                                                                                                                              “I think we got a lock” Grace’s Doctor cried over the din “come on old girl” he said giving the console a small whack and again the ghost of the parallel Doctors and their companion slowly began to appear again,                                                                                                                                                               “Almost there!” Grace cried                                                                                                                                                               “Just a little more you can do it old girl” Grace’s Doctor said                                                                                                                    the parallel Doctors had begun to become clearer                                                                                                                              “Come on old girl!” Grace’s Doctor said,                                                                                                                                             the parallel Doctors and their companions had by now fully materialized inside Grace’s Doctors Tardis                                                                                                                                                                                       “Ok that’s it” Grace’s Doctor said Grace and Twilight both let go of the console and turned towards the parallel Doctors and their friends, “I thought we were dead” the light grey Doctor said                                                                                                                     “you know I really don’t care about dying” the darker grey stallion said in his depressing voice                                                                  “Oh brighten up will you?” the stallion in the green tie said                                                                                                                    “Will you all stop arguing!” the female version of the Doctor, ginger and light blue Unicorns and the stallion versions of Twilight and her friends shouted at the parallel Doctors they all fell silent even Grace, Twilight and Grace’s Doctor                                                                                                                                    “I wasn’t even arguing” the stallion in with the goggles said                                                                                                                           “I don’t care” the female Doctor said “the entire universe is on the brink of destruction and you two are arguing like little children” she finished                                                                                                                                                                                         “wait, brink of destruction?!” Grace’s Doctor chipped in                                                                                                                     “yes, brink of destruction” the female Doctor said “but before we go any further we should introduce ourselves” she continued.                                                                                                                                                   The stallion in the green tie stepped forward “you already know we are the Doctor” he said                                                                              “but to avoid confusion you can call me Time Turner and this is my companion Tick Tock” he continued                                             introducing the ginger coloured unicorn to Grace, Twilight and Grace’s Doctor                                                                                                                                                                                         “salutations and greetings” Tick Tock said                                                                                                                                                 The light grey stallion stepped forward “you can called me Hourglass and this is Trixie” he said introducing himself and his companions to the others.                                                                                                                                                                      The mare version of Twilight’s Doctor was the next to introduce herself, “I’m the professor” she said introducing herself and her companions the stallion versions of Twilight and her friends Dusk Shine, Rainbow Blitz, Applejack, Elusive, Flutterscotch, Bubble Berry,                                                                                                                                                                                               “Dusk, that’s your name?” Grace asked,                                                                                                                               “Yeah Dusk Shine” Dusk said “I’m guessing you’re Grace”                                                                                                                 “Yes Grace Holloway” Grace replied                                                                                                                                                    “This control room look’s a little ostentatious if you ask me” Elusive said gazing around                                                                               “I inherited it” Grace’s Doctor retorted                                                                                                                                                    “Oh really, who from?, Hoity Toity” Elusive asked indignantly                                                                                                            “Anyway” the Doctor in the red bow tie and gold and brown coloured technician goggles interrupted                                                               “getting back to what me and my good selves were trying to tell you earlier” he continued                                                                      “You must stop the hunt of the segments” Hourglass said                                                                                                                  “”Why?, the White Guardian told us…” Grace’s Doctor began                                                                                                                  “That wasn’t the White Guardian you idiot” the darker grey Pegasi stallion, said                                                                                                  “Well there is no need to be rude” Grace’s Doctor said                                                                                                                            “Ok, you can call me Clockwise” the Doctor in the red bow tie and gold and brown coloured technician goggles said                                                                                                                                                “Just call me Discord” the darker grey Pegasi stallion said
