"Honey, I'm home!" Flawless Blow opened the door of house and walked in. His wife was waiting for him excitedly, ready to tell him some news. The couple sat down on their sofa and looked at each other in the eyes.

"Shimmer Cloud, what is it you want to tell me?" Flawless Blow asked his wife, who was sitting direct opposite from him. Shimmer Cloud looked up at her husband, cleared her throat and began explaining to him.

"I'm pregnant.." Shimmer Cloud said, looking down at the floor. Flawless Blow moved closer to her.

"What did you say? I can't hear you," Flawless Blow said, lifting up his ears and moving closer. Shimmer Cloud lifted up her head and spoke up.

"I'm pregnant.." Shimmer Cloud said, speaking up and moving closer to Flawless Blow. The mare sat up and looked into her husband's eyes, that began to widen in shock.

"What?!" Flawless Blow exclaimed, as he jumped out his seat and flew around the room excitedly. Shimmer Cloud joined him as the couple flew around their living room and out the door.

"Your going to be a father Flawless," Shimmer Cloud said as the two pegasi landed on their roof. Flawless Blow looked at his wife and then turned away, but only to see a beautiful sunset go over their home.

"This a memory that shall not be forgotten, our first child," Flawless Blow said, as he took his wife's hoof and took her to a could closer to the sun.

"I know that you know that this is a big event for us, but..-

"But what?" Flawless Blow interrupted, then blushing in embarrassment because of what he just did. Shimmer Cloud chuckled at her husband and then continued speaking.

"But, what if this doesn't go the way it's supposed to go?" Shimmer Cloud said, looking worried. Flawless Blow held his wife's hoof and brought her close as they watched the sunset together.

Shimmer Cloud knew that there was a lot of preparing to do while the child grew inside her..

Many months had passed and Flawless Blow was working extra time at work to earn more money. And Shimmer Cloud was preparing the bedroom for their new child.

"Now, I just need to finish painting this wall.." Shimmer Cloud said, getting out the paint and brushes. But she stood there for a moment and thought.

"Maybe I should leave it, I don't want anything to happen to me with the ladder.." Shimmer Cloud said to herself, so she put down the paint and went downstairs.

Shimmer Cloud went into the lounge and sat down. Then the doorbell rang. Shimmer Cloud hauled herself up from the sofa and walked over to the door.

She unlocked the door and opened it.

"Uh, Delivery for Mrs. Cloud?" The delivery pony said, holding a medium-sized package with lots of stamps on it. Shimmer Cloud nodded and took the package from the stallion.

"Thanks," Shimmer Cloud said, closing the door and putting the package in the kitchen table. The mare looked at the package label and read it aloud.

Do not open until both are present

Shimmer Cloud read the lable a few times over, not understanding the meaning Do not open until both are present. The mare stood there and thought about what it could mean.

"Wait a sec, that means I have to wait for Flawless to get home," Shimmer Cloud said, looking at a picture of Flawless Blow on the shelf opposite her.

A few hours went passed and Shimmer Cloud was doing some cleaning in her bedroom, when she notice a note on her bed. The mare picked it up and read it.

Shimmer Cloud,

I see that you are preparing for your child, but have you thought about you future? What would you do if a terrible tragedy happened and you could cope? This is thoughts my dear, thoughts and all words. I would not leave this note catching dust if I were you. I would take it to the Cloudsdale Library, were you can find someone that understands this...

"Huh? The library, why there?" Shimmer Cloud said, as she picked up the note and flew down the stairs. She grabbed her saddlebag and went to the library.

On her way there, Shimmer Cloud noticed some writing on the back of the note. She turned the note around to see what is said.

P.s When going into the library, walk up to the desk and ask for Zansoa

"I can't see the name.." Shimmer Cloud said, holding the note closer to her eyes that were trying to make out what the text said.

THUMP

"Oh, um sorry didn't see you there," A familiar voice said as Shimmer Cloud bumped into another pegasus. It was Flawless Blow, just flying by.

"Flawless, I didn't really expect to see you out of work so early," Shimmer Cloud said, brushing her mane out the way and blushing at her husband.

"I was just getting back from lunch, but I gotta go," Flawless Blow replied, flying away. Shimmer Cloud waved at her husband and continued flying to the library.

Shimmer Cloud arrived at the Cloudsdale Library and went up to the front desk. Because she could read the name in the note, she handed it over to the desk clerk and let her read it. The clerk looked up from her book and closed it over.

She looked up from the note and pointed to a corridor at the far end to the library. She moved her books out the way and stood up to get a better view.

"Last door of the corridor, then take a right and go in," The desk clerk said, handing the note over to Shimmer Cloud and going back to reading a book.

"Okay, let's go and find out who this is," Shimmer Cloud said to herself, thinking about what could be there.

Shimmer Cloud walked down the corridor, looking at the doors and looking at the sheet with all the names of the people that worked here. For no reason at all. Shimmer Cloud thought that the desk clerk must've been feeling generous.

As she was walking down the first corridor, Shimmer Cloud spotted a poster on the wall.

Have you revived a note?

If so, please follow the instructions below;

1. Get you note checked at the desk.

2. Find the longest corridor in pony history.

3. Find the right door.

4. Meet the right.. Ahem.. Librarian.

5. Leave with all your books issued!

Shimmer Cloud looked at the poster. Looking confused, the mare carried on down the corridor.

After many minutes of walking, Shimmer Cloud found the last door in the corridor. The mare opened it and walked down the stairs to the next corridor.

"Okay, take a right and go straight in. Just like the clerk said," Shimmer Cloud said to herself, opening a door that was marked Mr. Zansoa.

The door creaked open as Shimmer Dust opened it. Walking in, Shimmer Cloud saw many things written on the walls, many voodoo dolls on shelfs and a giant chair with a table beside it.

"Hello?" Shimmer Cloud said, walking up to the chair that was facing away from her. Strange noises were following the mare as she walked around the room.

"Is it true? Or is it fake? Or shall she make a big mistake?" A voice said, coming from the chair that was turned away from Shimmer Cloud.

"Who's there?" Shimmer Cloud said, looking very scared. Just then, the chair turned around to face Shimmer Cloud. The mare backed away from whoever was there and ran for the door.

Shimmer Cloud reached for the door handle, but it disappeared as soon as she touched it.

"This is something I won't forget. But something, dear you will regret..

A price must be paid.. A loved one will need aid..

For the cost of a perfect, healthy child.."

The voice in the chair said as Shimmer Bloom began seeing black walls closing in..

"No, this is a dream! Go away!" Shimmer Cloud screamed, hoping that it was all a dream...

Three months later..

After Shimmer Cloud and the library incident, she had given birth to a lovely colt and had named him Thunder Cloud. He has icy-blue eyes, a dark coat and a gray mane. Just like his father's.

But after all this had happened, Flawless Blow had to go to work at the Young Flyers School. So he left for his work and left his wife in the home with her child.

After finishing the housework, Shimmer Cloud sat down on her sofa with Thunder Cloud rolling around the floor with his toys. It was nice a peaceful for many hours.

But after realising that Flawless Blow should've been home by now, Shimmer Cloud received a phone call from the Young Flyers School.

"Hello?" Shimmer Cloud said, picking up the phone.

"Yes, this is the Young Flyers School. You husband had been taken into hospital..." A voice at the other end said..
