When Twilight Sparkle asked close ones what she ruled over, Celestia said for her to take care of Ponyville and all magic in Equestria. Luna told her to 'take care of thy ponies of Ponyville in need of thee'. Cadence told her to wait it out and it should become clear to her alert when ponies ask for help. Spike told her to use her magic to her advantage; use it for keeping harmony. And from there, Twilight takes it a bit too seriously.
